PizzeRizzo is Great if You Love Mediocre Cafeteria Pizza!
There are a lot of great restaurants at Disney World. This is not one of them.
Yeah I said it indirectly: PizzeRizzo is terrible. It’s not great. If I had kids and fed them this, I’d be afraid of being charged with child neglect. Some argue this place is great if your child is hangry and you just need to feed them something. But honestly, anything else you feed your child would be better than this. After a long Winter Season, Spring has finally sprung around the Walt Disney World Resort. Minnie’s Springtime Dine, a dinner buffet, Celebrates Spring 2018 at Hollywood & Vine. Hosted by Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy and Mickey, Minnie’s Springtime Dine is a great way to enjoy dinner with awesome character interactions.
Once you arrive at your table you will be handed a postcard invitation to have your photo taken with Daisy. You can go up for your photo at any time during your visit. A Disney Photopass Photographer will collect your card and take your photos for you. My sister, grand-daughter and I enjoyed the opportunity to go up for the photo at our leisure. This option allowed for a more relaxed evening without the rush of having to take our photo at a specified time.
From Salads, Springtime Soups and Appetizers to Mickey’s Must Haves, Sunny Sides and Donald’s Delectable Entrees there is sure to be something for everyone. Our personal favorites were the Brocoli Slaw with Soy Nuts, Mushroom Farro Risotto, Stir-Fry Yakisoba Noodles, Lamb at the Carving Station and the Shrimp Macaroni & Cheese with Lobster Alfredo Sauce.
Little Ones are not forgotten with this buffet. The Children’s Buffet, set up at child level, features such items as mini corn dogs, carrots, plain pasta and baked chicken. Word of note: You do not have to be a small child to add food items from the Children’s Buffet to your plate.
Our favortie part of Minnie’s Seasonal Dines is the opportunity to meet the characters in their finery. Donald, Goofy and Mickey are looking very dapper in their Springtime outfits while Minnie and Daisy are resplendent in their Springtime finery. I mean look at those dresses, bows, jackets and shoes. They are so adorable!
Now on to the best part of the meal; Dessert. You will definitely find it difficult to choose so be sure to leave plenty of room for these Springtime treats. Our personal favorites were the Strawberry Cupcake, Boba Pearl Cheesecake and Peanut Chocolate Cupcake. I am not a fan of cake at all, but I have to say the peanut butter frosting, on the peanut chocolate cupcake, is magnificent!
Celebrate the season of Spring with some of your favorite Characters at Minnie’s Springtime Dine. Our reservation was for Saturday, March 17th. We were pleasantly surprised to arrive and discover that Minnie’s Seasonal Dine had just switched to the Springtime Dine. Book your reservations online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
