okay so i've always been saying that the demo lovers and the killjoys are connected somehow, like i think that the demo lovers were some of the first killjoys ever (you can read some of my hcs here)

anyways so i think that the demo lovers lived through the first helium war but they were too young to actually fight but they remember it and it can be contacted to scarecrow when they say that they remember the bombs and the guns they sold for the last war.

and because the demo lovers lived in the desert (where the killjoys live obviously) and i have this headcanon that the demo lovers owned a diner restaurant (and that's where the demo man was arrested btw) and until the fabolous four got there no one stepped into the diner because it was the last olace where the demo lovers were safe and happy and then it was the last place where the fab four were safe and happy, after the fab four no one stepped into the diner.

so it all started with the demolition lovers and ended with the fabolous killjoys

ONE IDEA KEEPS GETTING IN MY HEAD: The Kid but it’s Demo and Bean

If you don’t know the movie, essentially sad man meets his kid self and tries to find a way to get the timeline right.

One huge moment in The Kid is that the main character tries to figure out what to fix in the past. Eventually, the guy and the kid version of himself thought that the problem was a fight that he lost in the past. But turns out, his mother died, and his father fought him (emotionally) due to it. This absolutely broke the kid (who just now experienced “the problem”) but it also hurts the poor guy (since now he remembers, this ruined this whole life). I think that entire scene could fit my version Demo, since Bean does not get loss that much. And of course, on the other hand, I’m sure Demo lost someone important.

^ sorry if I didn’t make since in case +the problem is even more than that but hey, I’m not a summary guy XD

thoughts on the demo/Splatoon 3 now that Im back to normal (mostly)

crab tank my absolute beloved, fun to use and just A Friend, literally the best combo of baller, explosher, and dualies

splatana is wonderfully light and mobile, feels great to use, I will probably use it quite a bit if I can get the hang of it

reef slider is so absurdly strong. mows opponents over like you have a roller. big hit box. really fast and you can detonate at any time. all the while you are ALSO completely invincible. amazing. I wont be surprised if it gets nerfed at some point

I think ultra stamp got nerfed??? every time I used it opponents slipped by somehow, when in splatoon 2 the hit box is big enough to smack down everyone within like a foot of the stamp. I dont think I'll use it next game anyways but we'll see

thank you Splatoon devs for giving us the "wipeout" pop up when the other team gets wiped out. I get to booyah evilly with my teammates whenever that happens

Im seeing some folks say that tricolour battles are unbalanced or difficult but honestly they were super fun (and they are quite balanced, more than I expected tbh, it works out to be 4v4) and it just requires thinking about it more strategically than your average turf war battle. if you don't enjoy objective-based modes like this then it's just not going to be your thing and that's fine. small edit: seems like it was really rough for a lot of reasons to be on the defending team and as such I can understand frustration with this Splatfest mode, hopefully they can update it for future ones

She enjoys hockey, snowboarding, and surviving the Great White North. She has logged more than 2,000 flight hours in the F-15E, F-16, T-38, and T-6 with 420 combat hours. Lieutenant Amanda "Stalin" Lee- Lieutenant Amanda Lee is the Left Wing pilot for the United States Navy Blue Angles, flying the No. 3 jet. While attending the University of Minnesota Duluth, Amanda enlisted in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) and reported to her first command, VFA-136 "Knighthawks." She was selected to commission as a Pilot through the Seaman-to-Admiral (STA-21) commissioning program in 2009. The following year, Lee attended the Naval Science Institute (NSI) for officer training in Newport, Rhode Island, and simultaneously began her studies at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry.

Amanda joined the Blue Angels in September 2022, becoming the first woman to fly in a demo F/A-18E/F Super Hornet with the team. She has accumulated more than 1,400 flight hours and over 225 carrier-arrested landings. Her decorations include four Navy Achievement medals and various personal and unit awards.

According to https://tcrf.net/Jet_Grind_Radio_(Dreamcast) , the "Burger Queen" parody storefront seen in the PS3 demo was present but not used in the DC version, instead replaced there by "Burger Joint."

Composer Hideki Naganuma, who composed quite a few of JSR's tracks (and worked on Jet Set Radio Future as well), composed for the soundtrack of Dutch game studio Team Lizard's upcoming JSR-alike, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk (he also contributed a track to their previous game, Lethal League Blaze). Last year, he tweeted to his now 1/3 of a million followers "I don't think Sega would hire me again. Because they didn't appreciate my music that much. your post about Gaz's chronic pain reminds me about my spouse and our friends who are military veterans and the kind of chronic pain they all cope with. Like if the military is good at anything it's good at creating disabilities. My spouse has chronic back pain from falling off jets on multiple different occasions, I can only imagine what kind of pain poor Gaz deals with falling from Helicopters and stuff.

Honestly I'd be more shocked if they all didn't have some sort of injury they've learned to cope with. Like Soap being partially deaf in one ear because of an explosion he messed up on. Or Ghost dealing with shooting nerve pain because a particularly nasty scar got pulled wrong while he was stretching or moving too quickly.

Gaz absolutely has joint pain from falling out of a helo. You can't tell me that hanging from that rope didn't fuck up his back a little. Didn't give him an inner ear problem that makes him nauseous at high altitudes. He absolutely is hurting when there's bit pressure changes, downing a few aspirin at breakfast just to cope with the day's exercises. Strikes me as a very "suffer in silence" sort of soldier. Maybe complains to Soap about his back hurting.

Soap definitely has a good ear, caught too many explosions in the side of the head to have everything fully functional. It's not bad enough to take him out of the line of duty so he doesn't say anything. Price makes sure to stand on his good side when he gives orders. The 141 learns BSL and excuses it as field practical. I think he has some nerve damage in his fingers from shocking himself, snipping himself on wires, just the wear and tear of working in demo. It's not anything he needs to report except when he gets a tremor and swears at his hand until it stops.

Ghost catches the worst of it. Definitely nerve damage, the kind that makes it hard to move on bad days, that sort of twinges on good days. He's got a menagerie of chronic injuries. Joint pain, muscle pain, scar tissue in his lung, sticky ribs. But it's the mental wounds that are worse: he can't stand flashing lights, has nonverbal episodes, is bad in crowds. Other things too, I think he has a nervous stomach, I think he has texture issues and certain smells that trigger him. He can't break his routine or he- He just can't break his routine, it's very important that he doesn't break his routine.

Price too has injuries. His knees aren't what they used to be, his smoking is starting to catch up to him, some days he's thankful for desk work. He's dislocated his shoulder too many times and sometimes it sticks wrong and he gets pain for hours. Very grit your teeth and bear it for himself, but if any of his boys complain he puts them on bed rest. Similar to Soap I think he has some hearing loss, bombs and bullets will do that to you. You'll never catch him in medical, not unless he's dragged there barely conscious.
