Here it is!!!

My latest addition to my That ‘70s Show/Red and Kitty collection!

Now you might be thinking, what is it? Or that’s it? But let me explain.

This is a photo/mini poster and T-shirt celebrating the 25th anniversary. The ones that they were giving away at Comic Con this year where, as many of you know, Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith were supposed to attend and talk about the show *and* have a Q and A session.

So even though they couldn’t go, and I didn’t go, I think it’s a super cool souvenir. I like to imagine if Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith had been in attendance these would’ve been the posters they might’ve signed.

Think I know what I’m taking with me to the next T9S filming! 😁

Thank you for taking the time to read this.” Kunis’ letter adds: “I wholeheartedly vouch for Danny Masterson’s exceptional character and the tremendous positive influence he has had on me and the people around him. His dedication to leading a drug-free life and the genuine care he extends to others make him an outstanding role model and friend.”

Stephen King wrote a child orgy in 'IT" and while some hate him for that and won't read any of his books because it. However, the vast majority of people don't give a flying fuck if you read/enjoy "IT"

So with all that. I don't wanna hear anyone shame people for still watching T7S. Or T9S for that matter. You don't have to like the actors, you can hate them all you want, I don't care. But we need to understand that almost every piece of media is tainted in some way.

I know people's emotions are high right now, and understandably so. But let's ask ourselves why is it still okay to like all the things I listed above, but not T7S? Because it's still very fresh?

You know that saying time heals all wounds. Well that will be the case for T7S. Teens forty years from now won't care about Danny Masterson. That might ruffle some feathers, but it's the truth.

They'll be so far removed from all this, that it won't feel real.

This post might piss some people off, and that okay. We need to have an honest conversation about this situation even if it's uncomfortable.

Thank you so much for the question! Love talking about attending the tapings of the show, they were some of the best nights EVER. I miss them so much, I was really hoping to attend one over the summer.

Anywoo back to your questions yes! I saw a TON of cute moments between the cast. I'll admit I was most of the time watching out for Kurtwood Smith and/or Debra Jo Rupp but I caught plenty of moments with the kids too. Couple of things I saw for my first taping which was the Rave episode and one THE best night of my life.

-The split scene with Leia and Jay at the beginning was filmed in front of us and had to be timed just so. I honestly thought that was done as a preshoot or later edited together so that was fun to see and lots of bloopers there!

-When Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith took the stage for their first scene together (watching Law and Order) the announcer guy had us cheer for Kurtwood and Debra Jo and Kurtwood waved at his turn and when Debra Jo’s name was called he kinda did the claw thing behind her head, probably teasing about messing up her hair lol It was adorable.

-Kurtwood and Callie high-fiving each other a few times especially during that scene in the kitchen before Gwen and Leia leave for the Rave

-During that same kitchen scene, Kitty was serving banana bread and after the first take of that scene Debra Jo was packing up the used pieces to be taken away and this girls wanted some, so you could see Kurtwood stop Debra Jo and tell her the girls wanted some so she handed it to them and they were so happy. It was really cute and Callie even offered Kurtwood a piece and he shook his head.

-That kitchen scene was one of my favorite because of more stuff that happened between the scenes there but I don't wanna post everything now cuz it'll turn into a huge post. But send another ask and I'll share more about it!

-I did see plenty of bloopers too, and it was entertaining to see Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith sorta flub or forget their lines. It wasn't done in a way that would make themselves crack up or the other crack up but they'd acknowledge they forgot something or confused something and just quickly reset and sometimes get help from the other--and sometimes not too much help and instead just comments from the other. Their banter is so great, it was very much like what you see in interviews with the two of them.

Thank you so much for the ask! I loved sharing this with you all and hope I get more questions about the tapings so that I can share more, like I said I don't wanna make the text post too long. I haven't even shared the part I was SO tempted to take a video/picture of (and no, I'm not talking about the moment when I got to talk to Debra Jo Rupp, there was something else too)

So, about the elephant in the room...

Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith have sent letters to the court in support of Danny Masterson, for leniency for his sentence. Along with Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, obviously.

It's still fine to love T7S and T9S. The characters are not their portrayers, but it's still fine to classify the show as tainted. You do you. Do as you wish. I won't stop you.

So, it's fine to still love Hyde, Jackie, Kelso, Red, and Kitty.* That's totally understandable, but if you still support "the actors who portray them..."

I don't give two shits if Debra Jo and Kurtwood were nice to you. They both did something that was the furthest from nice. They fucking asked a judge for leniency for a fucking rapist. As you rightfully pointed out, it's common that these letters get leaked, so from a PR standpoint, it's incredibly stupid. They shot themselves in both feet, and they screwed over the rest of the T9S cast.

Imagine the kids in this situation. They've been picketing at the front lines for better pay for the second season, only for the original stars of the show to royally screw them over and render their efforts as incredibly useless. It's overwhelmingly likely that T9S will be canceled, and now, their careers are attached to this amoral shit forever. And, all of this was done by their supposed mentors.

You can try to justify it all you want, by trying to put yourself in their shoes and see where they're coming from. Yeah, it must be tough coming to terms with the fact that their friend is a fucking monster. But come on. They're "trying to help" a convicted rapist, with the equivalent of, "Oh, he was such a good friend and good person."

But clearly, he isn't a good person. At all. And they're asinine for trying to defend him. They picked him over his victims (as well as their T9S colleagues, but that's a far lesser crime), and that's despicable. They deserve to be fucking blacklisted, from a moral standpoint. I know it sucks for the T9S kids, but T9S needs to be canceled. There's too much shit attached to it; it's a sinking ship, and the T9S kids and others are now trapped on it. Any variation won't happen, simply.

Thus, I suppose you can continue to "run this page of appreciation of the four of them," but I won't be supporting it in any meaningful way. Because I don't associate with people who support rape apologists, and...
