Desmond when he's dying: This would've never happened if I was just a pigeon.
Desmond: *Becomes a pigeon in the next life*
Introducing Desmond the Assassins suspiciously long-living pigeon.
(I love this for the sole purpose that turning Desmond into an eagle would have been the most obvious choice but you, nonny, deliberately turned him into a pigeon which is hilarious. Alright, let’s make Desmond’s pigeon life super weird)
=================================
When Desmond woke up as a freaking pigeon, he was annoyed at himself. If he knew he could have been anything, he would have picked an eagle or even a freaking cat.
But nooooo. He just had to think he wanted to be a pigeon of all things.
Goddamn it.
Well, no use bemoaning his own cursed life.
He should get high up and see where the hell he was because this open sky was definitely not the Grand Temple.
Soooooo… how was he supposed to fly?
Just… flap his wings?
Flap
Flap
Flap
Fuck.
It wasn’t working.
Okay.
Maybe he just needed… momentum. Yeah, momentum might help?
So Desmond took a few step-
Sigh.
Desmond took a few hops back before running straight ahead into the edge of the roof where he had woken up on, flapping his wings the entire time and…
Yes! He was flying.
Holy shit, he was flying.
Wait.
Nope.
He was gliding.
He was fucking gliding and he was going down fast.
Ohfuckohfuckohfuckohf-
Slam.
Feathers flew everywhere as he smacked straight to a wall.
As if that wasn’t humiliating enough, he began to skid down, falling into the grassy ground with a pathetic thud.
A shadow appeared over him but he didn’t move.
He could feel one of his wings was now broken.
But more importantly, he was too embarrassed by that pathetic attempt at flying that he’d rather lie down on the ground for a while and contemplate just letting this bird life die out here.
“Are you dead, little one?” A voice that cracked at random asked and Desmond kept his eyes closed in total defeat.
He would like to say ‘yeah, pretty much’ and also 'uh, rude?' but it only came out as a sad cooing sound.
“It’s alright.” He felt hands grab him a bit too roughly, making him let out a pathetic cooing sound once more and the hands lessened their grip. He was cradled into someone’s arms and he was bounced lightly as the person carrying him began to run.
When he finally opened his eyes once more, he blinked when he recognized the gates ahead of them.
The front gates of Masyaf…
He was in Masyaf…
And it wasn’t the Masyaf that he had been in pictures after he heard from Shaun that Masyaf was under Abstergo’s control.
No.
This was the Masyaf he was familiar with.
This was-
“Altaïr.”
The teenager holding him stopped running and held him close as a…
Holy shit.
Was that Al Mualim?
He looked…
Young… ish.
“We had been worried. You shouldn’t leave the training ring without being dismissed.” Al Mualim said in a kind fatherly voice that made Desmond immediately want to peck him.
“I’m sorry, master. It’s just…” The teenager (holy shit, it was Altaïr. Not only that… it was Altaïr with a cracking voice! Desmond couldn’t stop himself from finding this amusing) raised his arms slightly to show Desmond who tried to glare at Al Mualim as a pigeon, “This little one broke its wing when it was trying to fly. I figured the healers might be able to do something about it.”
Al Mualim stared at Desmond for a moment before his eyes softened, “Very well. You’re dismissed today, Altaïr. Have the healers check the pigeon but…”
Al Mualim placed a hand on Altaïr’s shoulder and said, “Do not get your hopes up. Sometimes, it is impossible to fix a thing that is too broken already.”
Altaïr’s hold on Desmond tightened just a bit as he said quietly, “I understand, master.”
Desmond let out a cooing “yeah, fuck you too, asshole” that Al Mualim didn’t respond to, which made sense, since Desmond was now a fucking pigeon.
Ugh.
He just knew this new life of his was going to be a pain.
=================================
(More of an idea summary)
=================================
Altaïr
Desmond spends most of pre-AC1 getting treated for his broken wing and trying to learn how to fly afterward. The recruits and novices like him because he doesn’t act like a normal bird and likes to screech whenever Altaïr tries to leave him (in his defense, he was a grounded bird in a place that likes to find ‘alternative’ uses for stuff they can’t use and he can only think of one way to use a flightless bird who can’t even deliver messages).
He likes sitting on Altaïr’s shoulder. Whenever Abbas is nearby and being annoyed, he uses his minimal ‘flying’ skills to reach Abbas and peck him until he falls (Altaïr is always there to catch him). Because of this, Desmond got a hang of gliding and swooping (the falling is, unfortunately, still his greatest nemesis).
Abbas once threatened to cook Desmond and he almost got his eye pecked out because of it. (then received a very descriptive morbid detail of what Altaïr plans to do to him if he ever just as much try to pluck any of Desmond's feather)
Desmond will not, under any circumstances, eat worms. Kadar is the one who finds out Desmond likes fruits. Altaïr says Desmond is getting fat from all the fruits Kadar is giving him but Desmond pecks him. After that, Altaïr just gives Desmond a disappointed glare every time he sees Desmond eating the fruits Kadar brings him (who likes seeing him eat because Desmond makes this little sweet cooing sounds when he eats).
Malik secretly gives a bit of his own food whenever Altaïr is away because Desmond likes staying with him whenever Altaïr is busy. Malik never tells Altaïr about it and Desmond is a bird so it’s not like he can tattletale on him. However, Desmond’s soft spot for Malik makes Altaïr and Malik have a ‘nicer’ relationship… sorta.
Desmond finally learns to fly during Altaïr’s ‘punishment’. He saw Altaïr being chased by guards after killing one of the nines (maybe Garnier?) and he just… swoopes in to peck the guards to give Altaïr a chance to escape.
Maria is the one who actually asks outright why nobody is asking why this pigeon is still alive? Altaïr just says that it might be connected to the Apple of Eden because it does light up whenever Desmond touches it with his talons (Desmond doesn’t feel anything. It literally just lights up like a touch-activated lightbulb and Desmond is both disappointed and amused at the same time. He uses it to tell Altaïr he's been studying the Apple for too long and he needs to take a break.)
Darim likes giving him fruits too but he stops when Sef was born because he wants to be seen as a responsible big brother. Sef, on the other hand, loves Desmond and plays with him a lot. Desmond becomes an unofficial babysitter because everyone just agrees that the POE must have done something to his brain. That’s the only explanation they could think of as to why Desmond acts so intelligent. Desmond questions everyone's sanity for letting a bird babysit two children.
On the other hand, any time Desmond tries to actually communicate to someone by trying to write on the sand or that one incident where he tipped the ink bottle and used it to make some kind of ‘hand writing’, his words always end up gibberish and Desmond isn’t sure if ‘something’ is making him unable to write properly OR if there was some kind of human speech to bird language thing going on in his mind and that’s why he understands everyone but that shit doesn’t work when he’s trying to write his bird language. (Although, he can’t communicate with any other animals anyway)
Desmond stays with Sef when Altaïr and the other go to assassinate Genghis Khan. At this point, Desmond is a freaking master in bird stealth and manages to find incriminating documents that shows Abbas was planning a coup (Abbas and his cohorts got sloppy now that Altaïr was away). The coup was unsuccessful and Sef and Malik lived. (because fuck canon)
Desmond stays with the Ibn-La’Ahad bloodline (especially Sef’s bloodline) until something inside him suddenly calls to him, creating a golden thread-like mist that only he can see.
Having a feeling of where it was going to take him, Desmond only leaves after staying with his last ‘owner’ until her dying breath.
=================================
.
Ezio
When Desmond gets to Italia, Ezio has just been born.
He stays by the window and watches Ezio. The maids tried to shoo him away whenever they see him. Giovanni sees him at least twice but just thought he was a normal bird.
Ezio grew up seeing him as his guardian angel (“Your guardian angel is a pigeon?” “At least I can see mine!”) and that idea only solidified when he was a teenager who just learned pigeons are not supposed to live this long.
However, Desmond keeps his distance because he knows that people would find it weird (and maybe even the devil’s work) if Ezio has a pet pigeon who is still alive after all these years.
He does, however, always fly near Ezio whenever he used the rooftops and stays with him if they’re in a hiding spot or really high up.
This, inadvertently, helps Ezio be better at freerunning and climbing (and stealth) before that fateful day.
On that fateful day, Desmond leaves Ezio to warn the Auditores by squawking really loudly on the rooftop until Federico had enough and went up to see what has Ezio’s guardian angel all squawking up a storm when it was usually silent. Federico sees the guards coming towards the Palazzo and alerts his father because Desmond made a show of diving in and getting one of the wanted paper that they all had to identify the Auditores and giving it to Federico with a flapping motion that says “run, fucking run!!!”
The Auditores don’t get captured but they had to go into hiding instead. Giovanni tries to talk to his friend Uberto Alberti about this with the evidence but Desmond is not having any of that. Federico is stuck because he’s been ordered to protect his family but Ezio was still out in Firenze so Desmond goes to him and takes him to Giovanni.
Ezio gets there in time to see his father being cornered by guards and he and Desmond helps Giovanni get out.
Unfortunately, the only thing that shows that the Auditores were innocent was with Uberti and he had burned it in front of Giovanni for dramatic effect and because he isn’t stupid.
Left with no choice, the Auditore family leaves Firenze to seek shelter in Monteriggioni.
(Altaïr’s statue has a pigeon on his shoulder and Desmond tries to get Ezio to realize that he’s the pigeon by sitting next to his pigeon statue and mimicking the puffed-up pose. Ezio just chuckles and says “Yes, angelo mio, you are more beautiful than Altaïr’s pigeon”)
=================================
(Okay, that’s as far as I got. If anyone wants me to do a semi-summary/semi-fic continuation of the Kenway soap opera, Arno and the Frye twins, let me know XD)
=================================
(Unorganized ideas)
There is no eagle connection ala Layla Trilogy between Desmond and any of his ‘owners’. He's literally just a pigeon with a long lifespan.
Sef once pinched a feather from Desmond without his approval because he dropped the feather that the Rafiq gave him, Desmond pecked him in the ear the entire time they were back in the bureau and the Rafiq just looked at him with an expression of ‘Do you really think I don’t know the difference between a pigeon’s feather and an eagle’s feather? Bitch, I’ve been Rafiq longer than you’ve been alive.’ but only takes the feather silently while Sef grins at him. It took lots of fruits for Desmond to stop being angry at him (and Sef knew he fucked up because the moment they returned to Masyaf, Desmond sat on Darim’s shoulder with his back turned, making Darim go “What did you do now, Sef?” in that tired older brother tone that he has used so many times by now)
Petruccio absolutely believes Desmond is Ezio’s guardian angel. Claudia and Federico didn’t until Desmond helped them escape

like a man? no, like me
Summary: Maria was always the dreamer, the idealist. It just took some time figuring out where in life she could find someone or something that recognized that.
A/n -has some headcanons I’ve had about Maria // and I couldn’t forget the original relationship that started it all.
On Masterlist 10
here on ao3 // other chapters available
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Maria! Come down from there or mother will be cross with you again!”
The young girl hung low from the tree branches as her younger sister and child Emma, called for her. Maria was the middle child, eldest of the three girls, Adelaide and Emma, and youngest of her two brothers and sworn playmates, Philip and William. All who were children to the infamously famous and stringent, Lady Jane and Lord Alaric.
There were times when Maria longed for those days in the trees and to play with wooden swords with her brothers but the sobering reality of their life sunk its claws into everyone. It broke her heart when her brothers’ wives scoffed at her in disgust, when Adelaide’s fiancé spoke belligerently and when sweet Emma began to distance herself as well when Lady Jane called for her.
Maria was never one to fall into despair, but she felt herself slipping away as soon as she was married. She tried to find the pieces of herself again, perhaps reading or just admiring the view from the highest tree branches, until she returned from Emma’s wedding and found her favorite tree cut down at the behest of her husband.
There had been other acts of defiance before but Maria was insistent on what she knew would be her last one. To enroll and nearly defeat every knight who joined the joust that was in preparation for her last wedding anniversary feast.

This is honestly just a random thing I put together after thinking about Altair and how he changed between the first memory in Revelations and the first game. It is also a nod of sorts at the book the Secret Crusade which I have not actually read in it's entirety yet. Also the dialogue at the end was from memory and may not be entirely correct but was from the memory in Revelations.
-
What makes a thoughtful man a proud arrogant one? Praise? Admiration? Something else?
Altair knew what it took. It was none of those things, it was pain. An anguished betrayal. A loss so deep and profound that nothing could fill the gaping hole except that haughty veneer and yet despite that he remembered how desperately he had craved for someone to notice and to reach out to him. It hadn't happened though. Altair had pulled himself from that darkness and agony. Perhaps someone would have helped if they hadn't had the total disconnect of that time he spent hunting.
As it stood Altair had been bleeding to death internally, emotionally, and no one had truly seen. Rauf had noticed something, that was something Altair noticed later, but at the time one friendly face and hand was only just enough to keep him from drowning. If he could change anything it would have been that the one person actually trying to draw him from his own darkness would not have died as a result of that shade. Kadar deserved better.
Now, sitting in a chair so far from his true home, Altair wondered if perhaps he should have tried to open up to the Da'i and Rafique that had tried to help and guide him. Darim would possibly have his mother and brother still, Malik would be berating Altair himself for being driven from his home, and Altair himself would be… better perhaps. Not as worn and broken down as he felt. Not as haunted by so many dead, his parents, Adha, Maria, Sef, Malik, Rauf, and so so many others. Golden eyes closed in grief, in silent guilt for more than just taking possession of the Apple of Eden.
Darim walked into the room, Sef's wife behind him looking anxiously at him. It was almost ludicrous how the two of them seemed uneasy around him, an old man who was past the age where he could truly have stood against them. Seeing his son shift nervously Altair smiled softly and stood.
"You wish to seek those who remained behind."
"Yes." Darim replied, squaring his shoulders, a gesture that echoed Maria so strongly Altair saw her there instead for a moment.
"You have my blessing to go." Altair reached forward and set his hands on his son’s shoulders giving an affectionate squeeze.
"Come with me."
"I-"
"Father," Sef's wife interrupted, "please, do not waste away here. It is not what Sef would have wanted."
Altair sighed and closed his eyes once more. He wanted to but could he? Could he face those ghosts again? Malik would have laughed at him letting something like that stop him. Rauf's voice speaking in support of him seemed to echo from his memory too and Altair's shoulders… they relaxed as he reopened his eyes, an easing of tension he had not even noticed lingering there.
"I will need my blades if we are to go."
Relief lit Darim's face, his blue eyes filled with tears, prompting Altair to pull his son into a hug. If Darim's hands clung to his robes Altair would never admit to it, and if he clung to his son too then that was their secret too.
"I have them ready for you father. I also have some clothes for you to wear so we are less conspicuous."
"Good, very good."
Pain lingered but looking at the two children, his children now, Altair thought that perhaps pain could do more than drive to darkness and perhaps sympathy and kindness could lead to greater places still. Smiling grimly he decided to try and see. Even Abbas deserved some kindness despite the agony he had dealt to others. Unbidden words he had spoken with one whom he had loved and been betrayed by came to mind, this time without the grief that they typically carried and Altair resolved to follow through on his own words once again.
'You gave him a chance to reclaim his honor.'
'No man should pass from this life without knowing some kindness.'
'Yet he rejected your grace.'
'As was his right.'

Once again, the AU roulette wheel in my brain has spun to a different thing:
The rumors about his mother had never made very much sense to Darim.
His parents being who they were, everyone had stories about them, shared as fond reminiscences or pointed jests or disdainful warnings. His first couple years at Masyaf, Darim had listened with interest, suddenly surrounded by people who had known them and were willing to share. Your-mother-did-this, they proclaimed, your-father-said-that.
The tales about his father were at least consistent. Darim could easily follow the thread of how the intelligent, ambitious boy with razor-sharp wit became the terribly loyal man who taught him and his brother their letters, and moved heaven and earth that his sons would never run afoul of his temper. (It happened exactly once, when Darim was five-or-six and had nearly fallen off the roof when he shouldn’t have been up there. His father’s voice had cracked like thunder through their house, scaring him worse than the fall. His mother had tended Darim’s skinned knees and dried his tears. Baba isn’t angry at you, he’s shouting because he’s worried, she had told him. And his father had apologized, and hugged him tight, and it never happened again.)
When talking about his mother, the tone often entirely changed. Altair was capricious, they said, Altair was callous. Altair was arrogant and ruthless, the hunting bird in the previous mentor’s hand, capable of great and terrible things. One of the scholars had asked a thirteen-year-old Darim if she was even capable of love. Another claimed that she had carved through a crusader army single-handedly. Not-Uncle Rauf usually at least tried to be kinder about it, but the undercurrent was still there.
None of it had ever lined up with the Omm from his childhood, who kissed his hurts better and carried Saaf on her shoulders through the marketplace, who taught him how to climb and how to throw a punch. His mother, who laid on the roof with him, watching the birds in silence when people were just too much sometimes. The woman who had talked his father around to letting him marry Sabiha. Darim knew much of his childhood wasn’t normal, most children in Damas didn’t learn swordplay at their parents’ knees (or hear disembodied singing coming from under the floorboards, if Saaf was to be believed), but the strangeness was a double-edged blade. Darim-the-boy knew without a doubt that both his parents loved him, his brother, and each other fiercely; Darim-the-teen learned the bloody lengths his mother would go to protect that, but it had never scared him then. His father sometimes called her absolutely terrifying or certifiably insane, but it was always said with an air of dry sarcasm and deep, deep affection.
Now, in the harsh light of day, those descriptions abruptly made too much sense. When Darim woke, the grief hit him all over again – his brother dead, his father’s disembodied head buried near their camp, the fate of his wife and daughters unknown. But when he looked to his mother, her face was left cold and calculating and completely alien, like all the warmth he knew had vaporized overnight, and the hunting bird was all that was left behind.

I'm 99% sure that Maria was the disciplinary parent.
Darim and Sef database in Revelations says that:
"Both were raised - as Altaïr was - at Masyaf, trained to be Assassins by their father, and diplomats and men of honor by their mother"
And even though it adds:
"Altaïr, though often stern, was a patient father too, a man determined to give his sons what Al Mualim had given him - guidance and respect."
Altaïr maybe was a stern fighting teacher but we're talking about a guy who throw out of the window all traditions of the order and established new ones.
Wanna use poison? Sure! Leave the finger? OFC It'd be dumb to amputate something because of tradition! Keeping low profile instead of making assassinations noticed by many? Yep. That's what we're doing right now. Burning dow the body of Al-Mualim? Duh!
Like Altaïr would tell his sons off not for doing something illegal but for getting caught while doing it.
Meanwhile Maria would be the one teaching them the Knight's Code of Chivalry and following the rules because it's a right thing to do and that's the only reason they need. She's a.former Templar, she HAS to have at least a bit of liking for order and rules.

CODEXTOBER 2022 - DAYS 13,14,15 : MIRAGE, VISION & FAMILY
A three for one deal.
Altaïr coming back to Masyaf seeing mirages of his family when his eagle vision is on.
October is going to kill me, oh my god I am so tired. Why did everything decide do happen this month???
Anyway, I’ll probably post a version with only the three of them in full color. Maybe. Probably
I tried to make it look like the eagle vision from the games? I don’t know if I achieved it but yk.

Rough doodle designs of Altaïr, Maria, and Malik’s kids— Darim on top left, Sef top right, and Tazim on bottom
Darim already has a design in game and in the reflections comic, so I didn’t add much except for the scar over the eye as a callback to Maria’s own brow scar in my art.
Sef is the younger one, and I like the thought of him looking more like Altaïr while Darim looks more like Maria.
Tazim was described as having a beard at 20 by the time he first meets Altaïr in Secret Crusade, so I wanted to incorporate that

Submitted by @saberamane
Saw this artwork by astarcis and my mind immediately went ‘what would the ancestors do if they found this, and it was actually Desmond reincarnated after the eye?’ Like the various animal Desmond’s people have submitted.
Altair would probably find it fascinating, and Maria would not want it around the kids at all, it’s at least partly snake, what if it bit the children? Jokes on Maria though, the children love this strange abomination, and Desmond in kind loves kids. And with his knowledge, he’d be able to stay behind and protect Malik and Sef when the others leave to kill Genghis Khan. Give Abbas an agonizing death with his venom or something.
I feel Ezio would probably find him somewhere and take him to Leonardo. He’d maybe say something stupid to Leo like 'what kind of dog is this? I’ve never seen such a thing before.’ And Leo, bless his soul, would be like 'you can’t be that stupid Ezio. Thats not a dog. I don’t know what that is. Where did you find it?’ 'I’m going to keep him. He’s kinda cute.’ Desmond is very sweet to Maria and Claudia, which just cements Ezio’s thoughts that he is some kind of weird dog. It wags it’s tail and everything like a dog. Even if it does swallow it’s food whole
Ratonhnhaké:ton and his tribe probably think of him as a forest spirit or something. They’d definitely know he wasn’t 'natural’ and therefore would try to honor him so as to not bring misfortune on the tribe by being disrespectful.  Desmond would hang around the temple a lot, trying to find a way to destroy Juno, or at least make it so she can’t communicate with Ratonhnhaké:ton. And Charles Lee would definitely die horribly by his poison bite before he could kill the tribe. Once Ratonhnhaké:ton was older, Desmond would probably start following him around more, leaving the temple more often. Helping with hunts and such. Of course, the tribe would then think Ratonhnhaké:ton was the 'chosen one’ or something by the spirit and would start to ask him what Desmond wanted for tribute or something lol.
(The creature is called a 'nightstalker’ from fallout new vegas, i’ve never played that series myself, but it seems to have a lot of interesting creatures from the nuclear fallout that occurred.)
Any additional thoughts or head-cannon’s?
==============
(Additions from teecup)
Well, first and foremost... don’t look at the actual nightstalker from Fallout New Vegas. They don’t... look as cute as the one above. XD
Also, here’s the tumblr post of that artwork
As for additional headcanons and thoughts:
I like to think that Desmond is one of those nightstalkers that can turn invisible and the first time he does it, everybody panicked because they thought he flatout disappeared.
Sef definitely loves Desmond the most as he grew up with Desmond being both his guard dog and babysitter. Sef’s daughters also love Desmond and likes to hug him. Unlike Maria who had been worried, Sef absolutely encourages his daughters to play with Desmond.
Malik’s son, Tazim, was once dared to tug Desmond’s tail. Just to be a jerk, Desmond howled loudly and pretended to die for dramatic effect. It traumatized Tazim so badly because he honestly believed he killed Desmond. Desmond felt super bad especially since no one could stop Tazim from crying even after Desmond showed that he’s alive and well.
Desmond didn’t think it would be a big deal since Darim’s preferred method of stopping him from doing something stupid was to tug his tail anyway.
Leonardo would definitely draw sketches of Desmond which would baffle historians in later years. Leonardo is also the only person to wonder how Desmond reproduces (Nightstalkers lay eggs… and… uuuhhh… every nightstalker has a chance to drop eggs if you kill them so… I’m not saying Desmond can lay eggs… I’m just saying… the possibility exists?)
Desmond mostly communicates with growls and whimpers but whenever it’s time to poison someone, he hisses and rattles.
The preferred poison of the Assassins was based on his venom thanks to Altaïr’s studies. This means that old Assassin families are immune to his venom. This includes Haytham.
Desmond definitely destroyed the crystal skull that Juno uses to communicate with Ratonhnhaké:ton’s tribe by playing with it like it’s a ball of yarn. The villagers just assumed it was the will of the spirits.
Whenever anyone asks Ratonhnhaké:ton what Desmond wants for tribute, Ratonhnhaké:ton always answers that the best tribute is a kill by their hunters that will be shared with the tribes as some kind of festivity. It took months for Desmond to be able to explain it to Ratonhnhaké:ton using charades and Desmond was actually just saying ‘a meal together’.
George Washington cannot get near Ratonhnhaké:ton because Desmond hisses and rattle any time he tries... Haytham also gets the hissing and rattling treatment.

Ezio always knew his family was never normal. From his brother's abilities ranging from dreams of the future, empathy, and clairvoyance, to his ability to read minds, there was nothing usual about them. Still, he found himself hoping that normalcy will finally grace his family its presence after everything two years ago and he would be able to raise his daughter Flavia in relative peace with the help of his family and especially his friends, Leonardo and Sofia, who might be becoming more than friends.
However, the peace is short lived when people around him begin to die in what appears to be unrelated accidents and violent murders and Ezio begins to hear the thoughts of the killer warning of more death to come. Ezio, Leonardo, and Sofia find themselves thrust unwillingly into the mystery and it becomes a race against time to find out who the culprit or culprits are before more lives are ended. However secrets find themselves trapped the crosshairs of madmen and Ezio can only hope that he can return to a peaceful life alive, and not amongst the growing piles of bodies.
Set two years after Eagle's Vision. Can be read as a standalone, though some things may not make any sense.

assassins creed darim has childeren?
Altaïr said to him: "Go, Son, be with your Family" The Wiki says Darim stayed with Sef's Wife and Kids. But i don't think that counts as "your Family" it sounds more like Darim has his own Family
