Prompt 200
Danny has found himself reincarnated, for fun! While waiting for Tucker to reincarnate. He’s uh, found himself as a clone now- thankfully stable! But he was apparently also an accident, and overheard some of the people talking about termination, which no thanks?
So apparently he wasn’t exactly an accident per se, they did mean to make a clone, so thank fuck for that! They had apparently grabbed the wrong blood, which he almost snorts at. Kind of hard to do in a tube full of liquid though.
Oh well, he’ll just be leaving now… after he destroys this lab and steals all these files on himself, thank you~ Now, does he want to go on an adventure or find his unwilling donors first…

the ultimate enemy,,, is having trauma with super powers.
I’ve got a steaming hot and spicy dp x spn crossover idea here. it's TUE plot adjacent (but Jazz survives because not enough Jazz in spn crossovers. let her be blunt to the Winchester brothers guys common, she'd totally call 'em out at some point come on)
(yeah but listen, makes no sense that Danny didn't end up in aunt Alicia's custody, legally speaking. so at first i was thinking of a TUE au that diverges from that where he does end up with Aunt Alicia. then someone said "Danny in a flannel vibes" (paraphrasing) and my brain went like: "..... flannels,,,,,,,,, spn crossover vibes........") anyway
- details below the cut -
so basically, Jazz still gets hurt and Danny's with her whenever he can get away with it while she's recovering. (they're all each other got now). and Aunt alicia gets them set up at her house. (first Danny temporarily, then once Jazz is released from hospital, they both move in fully)
Vlad:
- moved to the Fentons home to keep an eye on their portal so it doesn't get taken by the government or something. he's left in a house with remnants of a family he wanted to steal and now it's all gone and he's left gradually working through regrettings and griefs. - Danny initially leaves all his NASA memorabilia there because he's not much in the headspace to care about any of it. but Vlad sends his telescope over. the action being appreciated, maybe more than Danny wants to accept, or more so ever admit to Vlad.
Aunt Alicia (Walker):
notices Danny's kinda "weird" in a supernatural way in the time during Jazz's hospitalization and after. (only so many frozen, glowing, or chard bits of wood one goes through before it's really suspicious.) - (and one exploded tree) Alicia: "how'd that happen? couldn't have been lightning, sky's clear" Danny: "idk, cosmic happenstance i guess" Alicia: "..... alright i guess" - Anyway so they end up taking a trip to visit a good friend of hers that she visits thrice a year (it's bobby singer, they're best friends because i said so) and there's no way she's leaving mentally and emotionally unstable teens at her house when she wants to go - (gonna figure out what's up with Danny. most likely ghost related, but she don't know how. wants to talk it over with bobby to see what he thinks. if Danny's just hiding ghostly powers from “ecto-contamination” or something then that's whatever. but if he's being hurt by these abilities, or if it isn't that at all, she'd like to know. but not letting Danny know she's onto him, having an emotionally unstable traumatized depressed teen get flighty is a terrible idea.)
Jazz:
Danny almost lost her too, on top of his best friends being gone. and her overprotective sibling vibes would skyrocket but Danny's also would so what happens is they're really attached at the hip for a few months. eventually graduating to being on either sides of a room without making either of them nervous. (if one leaves a room tho then there's a little more anxiety until they get back. - Jazz gets lost into studying again, even more than before unless danny needs attention from her. what ends up happening is they're leaning on each other or are generally in each others presence while she studies. Jazz implores danny to get a hobby, or maybe get back into stars and things. he's not really up to much tho, doing chores or errands for aunt Alicia keeps him busy whenever she gives him something to do. - (when Danny first started living with Alicia, she figured chopping wood was good enough therapy for now) - - the first night they settle in (they share a room, but they're clingy enough that it works), Jazz tells Danny she knows. about him and the ghost powers. about it all. and wanted to wait for him to come to her,,, but... and Danny clings to her and they both cry a bit. (a lot) - Jazz suspects Alicia might be onto them but since Alicia hasn't done anything then Jazz will wait until Alicia being onto them feels actually risky.
The Killing Event:
- making it a gas leak explosion instead of a nasty sauce explosion is what I'm going with. (to make it hurt more, them being there to celebrate Danny acing a test rather than talk about him possibly cheating is a thing i can and am doing) - Lancer also survives the event this time. he was Jazz's ride there probably. Lancer is very close to how his students are doing academically, he'd want to congratulate Danny too.) He keeps in touch with Danny through aunt Alicia, as do tuckers parents. - (Sam's parents connect with tuckers parents about it more than with Alicia. they don't blame Danny because that would be cruel, he's just a kid. but they're just less connected to him in general. they knew him as Sam's problem friend before.)
And That’s It! (like, for interacting with the Winchester brothers (+an angel) I've just got a vague sense of shenanigans and Danny hating Crowley.) (I think I’ll put other fun ideas I like putting in spn crossovers. like Danny kinda seeing Castiel’s wings past his vessel. and Cas being able to tell Danny’s soul is attached to his body like it’s supposed to be,,,,, but in a super weird way. think “what the soul doin?” but in the voice of (”what the dog doin?”)) (on Danny hating Crowley, in this i feel like all Crowley would have to do is show up and Danny has animosity at first sight. at first vibe presence)

The next conversation was painful. Not literally, but that was only because they hadn't let Mr. Uses-the-word-'ghost'-as-an-insult get his hands on anything that could cause pain. (Tucker was trying to think of a time when Danny would've said something like that. It would've had to have been pretty early after he got his powers, but there really wasn't a big window between 'Oh, ghosts are real' and "I'm a ghost?' so Tucker didn't think there was any point when he would've. It wasn't even that creative.) Actually, that wasn't the only thing that didn't quite line up about this guy. Like the hazmat suit, it was like his before the accident only... armored? Slightly? It was different and something Tucker would've absolutely remembered. Then there was fact that he hadn't seen him use any ghost powers... Yeah, they were going to bring all this up when they got to Clockwork.
Anyway, the conversation when about as well as could be expected when the person with most of the information didn't want to talk, thought one of you was a ghost that had stolen his life, and became more mistrustful when they tried to defend him. Honestly, whatever ghosthunter had decided to publish the 'Ghosts are highly manipulative' line, Tucker hoped they became a ghost when they died.
But, yeah, words had gotten them nowhere, didn't seem to be getting any closer to anywhere, so Sam knocked the guy out. They'd dragged him into the Specter Speeder, and were now on the way to Long Now. Hopefully he wouldn't wake up until they got there.
Right.
Maybe he should just give up the word 'hopefully' because 'hopefully I can relax this weekend' had turned into time travel shenanigans and now the guy was already shifting back there. (shifting as in movement, not shifting as in dying/going ghost, Tucker smiled at his little joke. He'd have to figure out how to use that later.)
"Guys, I don't want to freak him out again." Danny whispered as he faded out of visibility, like that was going to do anything? Well, maybe jumpsuit guy would just assume they had the air conditioning up to high and the other off-putting vibes were just the ghost zone... yeah, guy was gonna freak out no matter what. At least Tucker was driving, then if he got violent Sam could knock him out again.
Jumpsuit guy... No. Dan. Time-traveled other Danny's get called Dan, for efficiency. Dan made some waking up sounds and after a minute asked "Where am I?"
Great, he's still freaked out... that's fair, they did kidnap him, but like its just so inconvenient.
"In the specter speeder." Sam answered.
"The what?"
"The specter speeder, did your parents not build that yet?"
"Uh... no? What is it...?"
"A... Vehicle"
"Sam, don't bother dancing around the point, all he has to do is look out the window."
"Tucker! I was trying to break that slowly!"
Tucker could tell that Dan had looked out the window by the frantic founds of seatbelt unbuckling. Yeah, that probably wasn't his brightest move. "Sorry..."
"What is wrong with you guys?! Don't you know how dangerous-"
"We're in here at least once a month will you calm down!"
I'm-to-flustered-to-make-words-work sounds, (that sounded a little like ghost speak which was oddly comforting if Tucker was being honest...) "That's not- Safe!"
(Oh! It was similar to Danny's acting-on-my-obsession noises, just without the static and overlaid creepy. Right! Past-Danny...) Tucker cut off whatever Sam was saying, "We did lots of tests before we came in here originally and we know how to be safe in here."
"But the Ghosts!"
"Typically mind their own business unless you do something."
"but in Amity-"
"Amity is like a magnet for the ones who want to cause trouble. And I don't think we should be explaining everything because of the timeline." There was a pause, good, he was using his brain.
"Wait, you guys actually think this is time travel?"
"Yeah, what do you think it is?"
"The clock ghost is helping the other one pretend to be me, for some reason... I don't know what they're planning, but-"
"Danny, stop." Sam's voice was clear and gentle reason. "Some of the things you have said today, I know you never would've said, even when this all started. Some of this still doesn't add up, but the idea that you went on some sort of time adventure makes some sort of sense with how you are now and the Danny I remember. Just trust us, okay? Even if you don't trust your other self?"
"Ok..."
"I'm gonna turn visible now,"
"He's been here the whole time!?!?!"

DBD Headcannons #1: What do the killers think of Élodie Rakoto
No one necessarily requested this, but I wanted to do this anyway since I thought it would be interesting.
🖤Trapper: The tapper doesn’t mind Élodie, but enjoys having her stuck in his traps. Sure Evan finds her somewhat annoying, but he has a soft spot for her. He could tell she was trying to find a piece of her like everyone else was, and he adored that in some way.
🖤Wraith: Honestly the Phillip somewhat understands Élodie, but not fully. Sure he may hurt her, but after a while he could see there was something wrong. He may hook her once or twice, but he’ll make sure to be gentle.
🖤Hillbilly: Honestly Max DOESNT mind her too much. Again he’ll definitely find her a nuisance, but he doesn’t mind. There’s not much connection here.
🖤Nurse: Sally... oh Sally... she definitely somewhat despises Rakoto for her morals, however she does get inspiration from her determination. The nurse definitely sees something in Élodie that she wants to toy with, but unfortunately her insanity takes control of her.
🖤Shape: Michael Myers would DEFINITELY DESPISE HER. Not only will her perks cause him to start an uproar, but her determination and skill would definitely cause him to put her at number one victim. Backstory wise, however, he kinda feels bad for her since her parents passed away. Either way he still somewhat disdains her. More like a like/dislike relationship.
🖤Hag: Lisa doesn’t mind Élodie either, but somewhat cares for her. Sure she still wants revenge, that shit can wait. Lisa feels sympathy for Élodie and hopes she’ll be alright.
🖤Doctor: Honestly, Herman is intrigued by Élodie in a neurological way. He wants to understand and encourage her way of thinking, but he may want much more...
🖤Huntress: Honestly Anna’s motherly figure would DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY COME OUT! Due to Rakoto being a female, the mother and daughter vibe would definitely have more potential. Besides that she would most like try to actually talk with her, but not for too long. She will also become somewhat overprotective, and be very soothing with her.
🖤Cannibal: Bubba is definitely going to have a new meal, and will DEFINITELY act much more stealthy. Honestly he would definitely love to try and kill her, but at the same time he’ll try not to. The reason for this repel is because he has a small bit of sympathy, but not much.
🖤Nightmare: Freddy Krueger... hmm... He’s definitely going to have fun tonight. Ok ok enough of ‘Horny Krueger’ let’s actually get to the point. He would pretty much want to take notes on how her behaviors operate before attempting to kill. Besides that he would have to find out if she is worth the kill in the end. Finding out her family past using manipulation and such.
🖤Pig: Amanda wouldn’t mind her much, however she’d still be a bit suspicious of her. She would have to take notes to figure out Rakoto’s life. Maybe she could do it with Krueger, but I doubt it lmao.
🖤Clown: He really doesn’t care about her much. Literally. He just wants to toy around with her. That’s all.
🖤Spirit and Oni: Rin and Kazan find Élodie to be powerful, but very tame. Personally Rin hopes that Rakoto will eventually find her family whereabouts, and live a decent, peaceful life unlike her own. Kazan, on the other hand, wants Rakoto to use her powers much more tamely in order to prevent her from having a similar incident that he experienced.
🖤Legion: They basically have the same opinions as the clown, but much more vicious and graphic. They would enjoy toying around with her, but would love to see some bloodshed.
🖤Plague: Adiris doesn’t mind her much, but wouldn’t mind if she shared her symptoms with her.
🖤Demongorgon: ⍑𝙹∴ ℸ ̣ ⎓ ᔑᒲ ╎ ᓭ⚍!¡!¡𝙹ᓭᒷ ℸ ̣ 𝙹 ꖌリ𝙹∴ ╎ℸ ̣ ’ᓭ ꖎ╎ꖌᒷ ╎ᓭ⋮↸𝙹ᓭ⋮↸↸ꖌ╎↸╎↸⋮↸⋮⎓╎↸⚍ᓵ╎ ꖎᒲᔑ𝙹
🖤Deathslinger: After trying to make more upgrades for his weapon, Caleb would very much be interested to test it on Rakoto. The main problem is that he doesn’t want her to escape so easily from the pallets, so he might need help from the blight with that one...
🖤Executioner: Pyramidhead just wants her dead. That’s it lmao.
🖤Blight and the twins: Personally Tallbot enjoys Rakoto, (only to test his much desired herbs on her), but the twins are a different case. Charlotte and Victor synthesize with Rakoto heavily. Due to the loss of their mother, of course it would effect them immensely, however they don’t enjoy sharing that too often. When they are able to talk to Élodie, they try to become close to her, but to no avail.
🖤Ghostface: A new victim! A new treat! Danny would absolutely love to have Élodie in one of his photographs, but he can’t figure out why. Maybe it’s due to her curly, Afro like hair, or maybe it’s because of her gorgeous skin. No wait! It’s her eyes! Those beautiful hazel eyes! No... that can’t be it. Whatever attracts him to want Élodie is still a mystery, however he does kind of enjoy her style. He would be immensely happy to have her as a nice little toy.
Edit: My dumbass forgot Danny, so I added him in. Sorry y’all
Welp. That’s pretty much it. Hope you enjoyed it! I’m also taking requests!

SCD 2020 - Week 3: Movie Week Thoughts
I should have a witty line prepared before the keep reading line but I’m not that well prepared so...
Nicola and Katya - UH EXCUSE ME 19 WTF WAS THAT all my votes went to them cos of that stupid score 😂. They’re joint favourite with Bill for me so I usually give 2 to Nicola and 1 to Bill but after that all 3 went to Nicola I’m sorry I did not see a lot wrong with that 😂. All I thought were performance aspects, she seemed to lack energy in some places compared to Katya and looked as if she was concentrating a couple of places, but she had some really nice sharp dynamics, great timing and that 50s air about her she was so cool 😍. Although was I denied her in a Danny Zuko leather jacket maybe...
Maisie and Gorka - Wow that wig was a lot anyway it was good!! Mostly in her upper body she had really nice extensions and used dynamics well to create that softer elegant fluidity. I don’t think it was perfect, some bits didn’t look as smooth as they could have been to me, but overall it was definitely really good 😂. Random but Tess saying she loved Frozen since she was a little girl we were 12 and I mean personally at 12 I was in my grown out of Disney for that few years before you find it cool again phase (although me and my friends did watch Frozen in the cinema on a sleepover we dropped popcorn all over the floor we were wild) probably not the case of Maisie but she can’t have been that little 😂.
Caroline and Johannes - Aww I felt kind of bad for her she embraced the theatre aspect so much but it is still too placed and gentle 😭. She has no power in her moves, so while she gets all the steps right she needs to put in some dynamics and energy to, for this dance, give a powerful dramatic theatre-like performance.
Jason and Luba - Oh honey no 😭. My mum was screaming saying how brilliant this was just because it was Star Wars sometimes I feel like such a dance snob next to her 😂. Similar to Caroline’s Paso last week there was just no power behind his moves, he said it in his face (most of the time) but not in his body. And to add on to that his limbs were super stuff, and he had some timing and balance issues. Idk if the music was just too slow to make the routine work? Maybe if he were moving faster he would end up with cleaner footwork on some moves. Anyway not his best idek if we’re gonna see more of him oof.
JJ and Amy - YAY BALLROOM JJ IS BACK sorry I love his ballroom and this was so sweet 😂. His footwork made the whole routine feel so elegant and sweet, and his overall frame is still pretty solid. I think for ballroom he needs to start playing around with what sort of dynamics he can do in his upper body, have a swizzle around of his neck and see how he can move it as atm some of his turns look a little stiff, so hopefully if he does another ballroom he’ll get a chance to test the waters and see what he can do cos idk what else to fault 😂.
HRVY and Janette - K idk the thing with basic triple cha moves but it didn’t bother me 😂. It was overall pretty good!! He had nice footwork, good dynamics and really felt the rhythm of the music. Carrying on from his jive though he still needs to improve his upper body, his arms could be extended more to create nicer lines, and when he opens he needs to push his chest out more so that doesn’t look as lazy. But that’s it I thought it was really good 😂.
Ranvir and Giovanni - OH YES GO ON RANVIR YOU OWN THAT LEADERBOARD this was amazing I’m sorry 😂. Actually no I’m not sorry THAT WAS AMAZING 😂. Everything was perfect to me, she had excellent frame, beautiful extensions, great fluidity, bang on timing, smooth transitions, THIS WAS AMAZING I know I keep saying that but holy shit that was iconic I said it.
Jamie and Karen - Wow that was... okay 😂. He’s definitely improved but I don’t think I’d go as far as the praise he was getting from the judges. It still all feels a bit stiff to me, and while he was definitely getting the whole greek god motif correct sometimes there could have been a bit more flow to me? I think his posture and arms could have looked nicer, but that is pretty much it. He had nice swivel, some nice dynamics (not all the time) and he definitely had the energy for it 😂. Definitely his best dance but idk about ALL the praise 😂.
Clara and Aljaz - Complaining about a disco tango Shirley what do you expect from Lady fucking Marmalade 😂. I thought it was really good!! Her shoulders have come down from last week thank fuck her frame was great! Her tango hand could have been a bit cleaner but I’ll take what I can get 😂. Her timing and footwork was good, she had such a sharpness to her moves and really nice fluidity, it was great 😂.
Max and Dianne - OH HERE WE GO OKAY who green lighted this idea anyway it was okay 😂. I think maybe the hype of what the dance actually was may have overshadowed his actual dancing... IT WAS GOOD he put a lot into it and definitely got into the character and vibe of the dance but it still all looked a bit messy to me. He still needs more energy and dynamics to make all his movements look cleaner, but everything else was pretty good. And he did the floppy fish so... gotta give him that 😂.
Bill and Oti - OKAY WHAT DID I SAY COMEDIANS ARE AMAZING AT PASOS AND AM I WRONG AM I WRONG 😂. Okay, the good: amazing stance and posture, brilliant dynamics, timing all correct and kept up with the energy and vibe of the dance. Oh and guitar solo. The bad: Hands still need work, and a couple of timing and balance issues. The ugly... idk that eyeliner was a bit funny 😂.
GOOD WEEK I think everyone has made improvements in some way and they’re all up to a really good standard 😂.

Fenton Is That Broken Character
If we’re honest, Danny is insanely OP
“What you up to dad?”, Jack looks up as his son walks in the front door. He still can’t help but marvel at how he’s turned out. Sure education and lifestyle wise he was definitely lacking, but he had a presence. Taller than Jack now and muscular, but still clearly a kind soul. Even if he seemed determined to never have a job or leave home at this point. But there could always be hunting in his future, pretty lucrative thing nowadays. Plus, Jack enjoyed still having him around and he did seem happy. Even if he was aloof and paranoid, but Jack knew that was partly because Amity warranted being cautious and his son was extremely unusual.
Tapping on some papers, “finishing up that ghost ordering system. Think I’ve finally got all the appropriate classes down pat. Care to give your old man a unique view?”. Danny chuckles as he nods. Jack’s glad his son has opened up more to theories, still clearly hates pretty much every invention for some reason though.
“The one through six classing is still pretty well the same but I’ve settled on the different related power levels. Though honestly, I hope no level thirties actually exist”, tapping on the paper.
Classes:
1: non-threat - ignorable (1-3)
2: pseudo-threat - should be captured but no hurry. (4, 5)
3: mild threat - capture immediately, potential danger. (6)
4: threat - break out the anti-ghost gear, deal with quickly. Engage with extreme caution. (7-15)
5: major threat - bring out specialty weapons and only engage if absolutely necessary. (16-19)
6: WARNING: apocalyptic threat - do not engage, run. (20+)
“Now I know the GIW rated Phantom at seven, six years ago, but I doubt he’s still a seven now. Blob ghosts are always three or less and I’ll be disappointed if the Box Ghost is higher than a 5”, Jack and Danny both snicker, clearly agreeing. Danny taps on class 6, “and I’d say Mr. Floaty face was 6 for sure”.
The two spend around an hour throwing out random ghosts and placing most of them. Jack chuckles, “honestly, not even going to really try to place Phantom for sure. We know for sure he was at least a four near when he first popped up. Clearly stronger than he used to be so I really wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a five now”. Danny nods and Jack’s quite pleased with himself over that. His son always seems to just know things when it comes to ghosts. Fenton genius he’s sure.
“I’d say at least five, likely close to six or a six. He’s stronger than he’s given credit for, I think. Basically a walking broken enigma”
“Part of me hopes you’re wrong but if I’d want any ghost to be so powerful, it’d be Phantom”, Jack really is glad for coming to a truce with the spook years ago. Smiling as he catches Danny’s soft smile and what almost seems like a blush? This is his favourite aspect of the Phantom truce, that it clearly makes his son very happy, which makes Jack happy. Even if he doesn’t get why his son can be so ghost friendly, even his opinion of flat out dangerous ghosts are somewhat fond, oddly.
Jack’s sitting at the table when he can’t help but ponder about how his son seems to set off ghost stuff all the time. Wondering if maybe, Danny might just have a self-sustaining ectoplasmic field, like a ghost, as a result of his accident; rather than just oddly prolonged ectoplasmic contamination. Because no way should he still be contaminated from the accident after six years. After all, he was pretty much shocked by the entirety of the zone, even if he clearly downplays it.
But Jack’s not really worried about this because if it caused Danny issues he would have said something, right? Plus, Jack is pretty much sure his son can sense ghosts, which he’s actually a little glad for and he’ll admit to feeling a little guilty over once or twice using him to tell if there was a ghost nearby, because of his sons' reaction. Yes, he noticed the fogging breath and how Danny would instantly start looking around for the ghost/becoming more aware. Kind of hard to not notice. So really his son is like a walking ghost senor, and how cool is that? Jack will never have to worry about some foul ecto-scum sneaking up on his son, and imagine how useful that’ll be when he becomes a hunter! He is a Fenton after all, ghost hunting is just what Fentons’ do.
So as Jack watched his son eat cereal, Jack covertly turns on the device he’s been fiddling with. He’s honestly surprised it’s taken him so long to sit down and build something to rank and class a particular ghosts power and threat levels. Not surprised in the slightest that it senses Danny as an ectoplasmic entity. So Jack selects his son on screen, fully expecting a reading of 1 or 2, and after a few seconds, the thing starts smoking and explodes.
Jack blinks only slightly shocked as Danny jumps a bit, from the explosion. Danny barely misses a beat before chuckling, “another prototype bites the dust huh?”. Jack’s not quite sure why his son blinks a bit and pulls a face before speaking again, “uh, so what’s this one supposed to do? Gots a weird vibe to it”.
Jack’s face lights up a bit, always eager to talk ghosts or explain some new invention, “Well son! It’s supposed to read ghosts power levels and how to best handle them! If we’ve finally settled on rankings, only makes sense to find a more definitive way to do the rankings”. Danny rubs his neck a bit sheepishly, but smiles playfully, “and let me guess, like usual, I set it off or something”. Jack taps on one of the burnt pieces that aren’t on the floor, “which is very strange son but yes. I wouldn’t worry though! Even though it definitely read you as having an ecto-field, looks like it was attempting to put out a reading too! I’m guessing that caused an error, malfunctioned. Seeing as you’re not actually a ghost”.
Jack watches his son chuckle heartily as he puts away his dishes, “well sorry about the tech dad, and yeah nothing to worry about. I may be weird, but I’m perfectly fine”. Jack can tell he means it as he watches his son head out the door.
Groaning a little and staring sadly at the burnt pieces as he starts cleaning up the mess. “Oh?”, Jack feels almost giddy when he finds the heavily smashed screen, as he sees that it actually did manage to get a reading on his son. Wiping it off, Jack’s face squints in confusion as he reads the results:
“PL: subdued: overload”
“Class: error”
“Title: ghost king”
“Okay? The subdued section is perfectly expected. After all Danny-boy isn’t a ghost so he wouldn’t have access to his ectoplasmic field. Even if he really shouldn’t have one at all”, shaking his head at the screen, “but overload? That makes no sense? He’d have to be over 15 and even for an actual ghost that is incredibly high”. Jack claps his hands together as an idea hits him, “maybe it’s because he’s not a ghost, so this little guy really can’t get a proper reading at all! Maybe Danny’s field doesn’t even follow normal rules at all! That explains the error class too! Only way to know is to rule out the other option!”.
Jack smiles knowing full well he’s going to spend the day building a better version, or at least one that can sense higher levels. Shaking his head at the screen again, “and I’m just dismissing this whole “ghost king” title, only ghosts actually have titles so that’s obviously a malfunction”.
As Jack tinkers away, he can’t help but feel more worried than curious at this point, “if the strange readings were really because of a malfunction than “subdued” should have appeared messed up as well. Heck! All of it should have showed error or overload”.
Frowning a little as he hears the front door open, no doubt that’s his son. With Jazz away and Maddie at home all day, there really isn’t another person it could be. Rubbing at the smooth metal of the device as he puts on some finishing touches. Smacking it lightly in triumph as it turns on, “now this baby will certainly at least go up to level 30! Too bad it actually has to be touching a ghost field to work though”. Glancing at the stairs and shrugging, “well I’ll just have to ask Danny-boy, I’m sure he’d be curious”.
Jack heads up slowly after he hears Maddie leave, he knows how skittish his son can be and he doesn’t want him to feel ganged up on. Sticking his head out the lab door just in time to catch Danny heading to his room, “afternoon! Could you come to the living room with me?”. Noticing Danny looking a bit on edge near instantly, “you’re not in trouble son. Just some worries and theories I want to bounce off you”. Jack’s glad that seems to ease his son up a fair bit, but as he sits down Jack notices him tense a bit at the device. That’s a thing about his son that worries him, it’s almost like he’s cautious or mistrustful of all inventions.
“It’s an improved version of the one from this morning”, Jack wiggles it a bit only barely catching that Danny looks more, not less, uncomfortable. Sighing and facing his son, “I found the readout screen from the one this morning after you left. Definitely malfunctioned, weird readings, error messages, the works. But you clearly have an ecto-field, son. And you really really shouldn’t, so I’d like to test you again”. Jack can’t help but lower his voice more and more while speaking, as he noticed Danny looking more and more uncomfortable.
“Er, Whatever happened to that ecto-contamination theory? Field seems more unlikely”, Jack can tell by how his son is curled up a bit and moving his eyes around a lot, that he’s looking for a way out of this. Jack really doesn’t get why his son wouldn’t want whatever information they could get, maybe even figure out what exactly the problem is.
“Ecto-contamination can’t last for six years, so that theory went out the window. That leaves either a field or something undiscovered... Are you really so put off by our stuff that you’d rather not know?”, Jack can’t help but wince as Danny looks legitimately hurt and guilty over that last statement. He hadn’t meant to guilt trip him, he’s just worried and curious; but mostly worried now, “son, I don’t mean to push. It’s just, I’m worried. This is more than weird, I know it’s clear you’re not actively being harmed by whatever this is. But how can I be sure it’s not doing something long term, if no one even has a clue what’s going on?”. Now Danny just looks more worried and that was not the goal, so Jack just keeps talking, “I’m not very good at this “worried parent so please confide in me or test something” thing, I know. I’m not worried because this is strange, i just want to know you’re ok and just how much this has affected you. I know it’s not just setting off our stuff”. Jack blinks, a bit thrown off at how his son stiffens and stares at him, eyes clearly filled with paranoia. So Jack aims for soothing or at least compliments or something, “honestly the ghost sensor thing is downright neat. No clue how you can tell but it’s still cool. And so long as it doesn’t hurt you, then it is for sure cool”.
Jack mentally cheers as Danny does indeed seem slightly more relaxed as he responds, “how long? How long have you known about that? And um, thanks?”. Jack chuckles softly, “few years now, your breath would fog up for no obvious reason and you’d start looking around or leave the area. Then a ghost would show, hard to ignore pattern there, Danny-boy”. Jack watches, a little amused as Danny rubs his neck sheepishly. Poking Danny’s other hand as he speaks up again, “the other thing I’ve noticed is your skin is always cold. Way colder than anyone’s really should be, but you never seem cold so I assume it’s fine. Plus I imagine it makes dealing with hot weather a breeze!”.
“Er, opposite really. Hot weather sucks, cold weathers nice. But I’m fine, honest”. Jack can tell he means it but, “well I’m glad you feel fine, son. But how can we really be sure? Any bit of information really would help”. Jack taps on the device, hoping to get a yes this time.
Jack watches Danny’s eyes flick from him, to the device, and back to him, “so me being... a bit ghost-like is...cool?”. Jack really hadn’t thought of it as ghost-like but he guesses his son has a point there. Ecto-field, ghost detection, being cold; yeah those could all be seen as ghostie things. Jack nods at his son, “so long as this strangeness isn’t harming you, I don’t see how it wouldn’t be cool”.
Jack is almost startled at how Danny seems to near instantly and completely relax, even grinning rather wide as he sits up straight, “well I guess I can’t deny cool discoveries then”. Jack can’t help but be giddy even as Danny shuffles awkwardly, “how exactly does it work though?”.
“This one needs to actually be touching an ecto-field to work, sadly. But! Just touching it should work the same for you!”
“Sounds kind of like you could only check the willing then. Which kind of sounds like you made it with me in mind”, Jack can feel the suspicion in his sons' voice. Jack grins goofily though, “well of course, after that other one gave such a weird reading. I needed to know, more out of worry son. If you have an ecto-field, it should be really small and should have been easy for the previous one to read. But since that one only went halfway up the scale, the only way to really rule out the field theory is to use one that could get a reading on even the strongest of fields”. Jack feels quite satisfied with his explanation, even if Danny seems, of all things, bashful. Danny rubs his neck as he responds, “so what if I just have, like a strong one, what then?”.
“Then I guess you just do. Just more information to have and every bit helps! And who knows! Maybe a strong field might be keeping some ghosties away! Though it really should be impossible”, Jack’s not sure what about that was funny but he’s not going to complain as Danny nods and holds out his hand.
It only takes the machine a few seconds to work, though Jack has a feeling that his son can actually feel it checking him or something. Based on the odd facial expressions anyway, more worried that it might actually be hurting his son than reading the results, “it’s not hurting you is it?”.
“No, no I’m fine. Weird not painful or anything. Kind of like something is sucking on my skin, if that makes any sense”, Jack chuckles a bit, glad to know he’s not inadvertently harming Danny. He really does wonder if some of their stuff does. Shaking his head, he checks out the results:
PL: subdued: 23
⚠️Class: 6
Title: ghost king
Jack’s a bit too confused to notice Danny having a mild freak out and staring at the title section, “wow son, freaky strong it is. Again that should be impossible but I guess not”. Jack laughs a little, “that could probably actually scare a lot of ghosts! Fearing a Fenton as it should be!”. Tapping at the screen, “the rest makes zero sense though, again. Error made more sense than class six, especially with being subdued? And again with the title?”.
“Well couldn’t, couldn’t that just because of the power level thing?”, Jack shakes his head. Looking at his clearly a bit startled son, “that’s the main factor yes but to get the highest class you’d have to have more than just a strong field. Apocalypse level is just for those with insanely destructive powers, are near impossible for any human or ghost to defeat and more than likely can’t be caught or destroyed”.
Danny glances back at the screen as he responds, “so ridiculously overpowered, like a broken video game character”. Jack can’t help but laugh at that, “yes son, that’s a pretty fair comparison”. Shaking his head, “you must have some insane untapped potential or you have an ability that is very dangerous. Both are a bit concerning. The only other option is that you’re already extremely powerful and have a dangerous power. Which is just confusing”. Shaking his head more, “then there’s this title. You’re not even a ghost, how could you possibly be their king?”.
“Could you imagine though?”, Danny’s tone is a bit cautious sounding but that’s pretty common for him. Jack prefers when he’s joking around or even slacking off honestly, “well, I would prefer for their king to be someone like you. You’re a good man, son. And that would be kind of cool, utterly impossible but cool”. Jack taps his chin a bit, “maybe, because of the accident you're guaranteed to become a ghost and for some reason the king? That still sounds ridiculous”. Jack shakes his head while Danny talks a bit quietly, “if that happened, me becoming a ghost. What would you guys do?”.
Jack blinks at his son slowly, getting what he’s asking and yeah no way he could ever, “we’d support you, see what you remember. We could never hunt you son. Families family. I can’t say I’d even know how to react if you hurt someone, especially with how kind and gentle you are now. So, don’t worry about that”. Jack pats him on on the back affectionately to prove a point and judging by Danny’s loose smile, the point was indeed made.
Danny’s looking down at the living room table, “good. I’m glad to hear it”. Jack’s a little confused but glad his son is glad. Danny shifts a bit, “but yeah I do...have a dangerous power. Pretty well just destroys; buildings, vehicles, ghosts, people. I guess you could say I’m that character that gets banned from tournaments and winds up on Watch Mojo lists for most broken characters and most broken character powers”.
“That is dangerous for sure, I guess that explains that and while I’m curious, I’m not asking for a demonstration. But that means you’ve got a sure fire way to defend yourself, so long as that’s why you’d use it then it’s cool too”, Jack chuckles weakly at Danny’s shock. Smiling a bit at him, “you’re way too nice to be using something like that irresponsibly. Though I find it hard to believe that you can have such a strong ability without it hurting you”.
Danny runs a hand through his hair, “well it does leave me feeling weak and tired but otherwise fine. And it has kind of like a strength dail, never really used it close to full strength and I’d prefer to keep it that way”. Jack’s honestly impressed at this level of honesty and really, pretty much all of this is cleared up. Very weird and still no clue if this is really safe for his son but much less impossible, “sounds like you know yourself pretty well. I’m not going to push to know all you can do but I do want to know. This sure is one way to whip out a surprise trump card on some ghost!”. Jack can tell by Danny snickering that he’s surprised more than one or two ghosts before, which only makes him pleased. Pushing Danny lightly on the shoulder, “still worried about you though”.
Jack can practically feel the mischief in his son, as he talks while walking up to bed, “maybe you could see what sort of reading Phantom gives. He’s a friendly enough fellow, and I think the entire town knows he’s a completely broken video game character. You guys get along now and something tells me he won’t say no”.
End.

Most anticipated albums for 2020
New year - new me, right? Honestly I don't believe in all of that, as New Years is literally just a night like any other, but if there's people out there who really do believe that a change of year can motivate them, all the power to them! The great thing about a new year though is new music, lots of new music. Ahead of us are 12 straight months of new releases, with some artists who release on a 2 or 3 year cycle being "it". Last year was an amazing year for good records - lots of the top musicians didn't actually release, but we got a lot of amazing projects from some new names and some old dogs proving why they're legends (looking at you Freddie and Danny). With that said, there's a lot of artists that should be releasing projects this year and I really can't wait for them to drop the new guwap.
Tumblr media
Starting off with the main man, Kendrick should be dropping a new album this year, as it's going to be 3 years since DAMN.'s release in April. I'm quite interested to see what Lamar will be releasing, as there was a mixed reception by fans for DAMN. and it was definitely quite a step down from To Pimp a Buttefly and good kid, m.A.A.d city. Staying on the topic of TDE, it has been over 3 years since Ab-Soul dropped Do As Thou Wilt and I really want to hear what's been going on with one of the kings of witty rhymes and punchlines in contemporary hip-hop, especially as ScHoolboy recently said that Soul doesn't care about him no mo'.
Another person I've been quite patient with, waiting for his next release, has been my favourite rapper Isaiah Rashad, who's been playin' for the whole of 2019. Originally leaking snippets in late 2017 and early 2018, he skipped the rumoured release date of 2018 and claimed he'd release by summer 2019. In 2019 we did find out the album will be called "The House is Burning" and he claimed he'll release it in December. It's now January 2020 and we're still yet to hear from Zaywop. It's been quite annoying waiting for an album from him as it really does seem that as a typical Taurus, the dude won't drop it until he satisfies his perfectionism.
Tumblr media
Next up in my most anticipated is A$AP Rocky. I didn't really like Testing, there were a few good tracks, but in general it felt like Rocky wasn't putting in the effort he had put in his previous work. I'm hoping the recent experience he had in Sweden to have affected him and for him to release another emotionally charged album, such as ALLA and LLA.
Noname has confirmed she'll be releasing an album in 2020, which is something I'd love to hear, as I quite liked Room 25. The record had a very different style of rapping, more akin to reciting poetry on a jazzy beat, Noname has a very personal, rambly style, which is adorable in its own way and she gives a very introspective window to being a sensitive woman in the rap game.
I'm also quite excited about a new Joey Bada$$ solo album, as his Beast Coast record was quite disappointing for me personally. I quite liked All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ and 1999 is one of my favourite mixtapes of all time, additionally to that Joey seems to have really grown in his spiritual journey the past couple of years, so we might get a very emotional and personal project.
Except Joey, I'm also quite excited about Vince Staples's project, which will likely be released sooner, rather than later, as we've already had 3 singles. Judging by the tracks it seems this might be a more commercially focused release for Vince and although I didn't enjoy the latest one he released, the first two were bangers. Vince has a knack for experimental and eccentric beats and I honestly would love it for him to jump on more commercial production and show what he's about.
Tumblr media
J.Cole has confirmed he'll be releasing an album in 2020, which will be called "The Fall Off". Cole has had a very mixed discography for me, with his albums ranging from average to very good, with the songs in the albums themselves ranging from corny to bangers. I enjoyed 2014 Forest Hills Drive and KOD quite a bit and I'm quite interested to see what Cole's next album will hold, as he's been working very closely with quite a few young talented rappers and singers in Dreamville, who have pushed him to improve and change up his views. Additionally to that, Cole was one of the feature assassins in both 2018 and 2019, so I believe this might be the first project we get from him with features in it, even if only from the Dreamville cast.
In the trap focused community, Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti have been grinding our gears all through 2019, as they've both been hinting at albums, but we've been left empty handed, whilst waiting for Whole Lotta Red and Eternal Atake. I'm also expecting a surprise project from Freddie Gibbs or Denzel Curry, as they've both proven to release a mixtape or album basically every year, although Zel did just drop 13OOD 1N + 13OOD OUT.
Going in the softer genres, 6lack tweeted "New year, new album" a couple of days back, all but confirming he's dropping this year. I'm very interested to hear from him and his love life disappointments, as he and PARTYNEXTDOOR offer a very emotional take on male experiences. Speaking of PND, I'm also expecting him to release this year, as he himself confirmed earlier on in 2019. I loved his first and third projects, so I'm hopeful he'll bring that vibe in the new album.
Tumblr media
Frank Ocean - it's been 4 years since Blond. Can we get a new album, please? Frank did drop quite a few singles towards the end of 2019, which have pointed to him potentially releasing a new album soon, although the singles were mostly with him rapping, so we might be getting a completely new Frank Ocean. Regardless of that, I just want something from the contemporary king of R&B and break-up music.
R&B sweetheart SZA has also been quiet for nearly 3 years now, as Ctrl was released in 2017. She recently did drop a single with DJ Khaled, which I'd rather not talk about, but realistically she does work on a 3-year cycle, as Z was released in 2014 and she has claimed that she's dropping a new album "Soon as fuck". I'd also love to hear from the sexy Kali Uchis, as it's been a year and a half since Isolation, which was a fantastic pop/neo-soul/spanish album, full of raw emotion and energy.
Tumblr media
Going into jazzier production, Thundercat hasn't released anything since 2017's Drunk, which was an amazing contemporary jazz record, which left me hungry for more. I'm quite hopeful the saxophone virtuoso decides to bless us with another modern take on jazz during this year.
Last but not least, Tame Impala will be releasing an album on Valentine's day - Kevin Parker's been quiet for quite a long while, as Currents was released nearly 5 years ago. It's quite intriguing to see what kind of direction Parker will take this album, as the two released singles were quite good so far.

I’m sorry you were feeling so shitty today, but I’m glad it eventually started to get better, and happy for you that you managed to surpass your writing goal for the day.
Omg, Chris as a cheerleader.  He would be so awkward, yet so determined.  Luckily for him I don’t remember the guys doing quite as much “dance-like” moves, at least at my school, they were more back-up and support.  We usually only had a couple of guys on the team, though.  Did Melissa ever do it, or consider it?  She likely had a similar gymnastics background.  (Did she ever lend Chris her uniform if she did?  Or if not did Peter or Noah just “borrow” an extra one?  Because I could equally believe it of either.  Do they ever gift him with one post-OUAT, just for the *cough*nostalgia*cough*?)  Did BH have a person in a mascot outfit?  Because if they did/do, I totally nominate Finstock to be the one running around like a maniac dressed as a cyclone.  And Jesus, they’d be bad enough with Chris as a cheerleader, but on the swim team?  Good grief.  How did none of them end up kicked out for inappropriate behavior?
I can totally see Peter on Student Council, too.  And I think Secretary (did someone mention roleplay again?) or Treasurer would be an excellent fit.  I can see him considering President, but deciding that it would take up too much time he could be spending with his mates, and working a power behind the throne angle instead.  Also, I think Student Council and/or cheerleading would offer an excellent lead-in for Natalie if you decide to add her, because I can easily see her participating in either or both.
I am never not here for more subtle MK nods, just saying.  And I love the idea of ROTC, especially because I’m pretty sure Boyd might have been in the ROTC, as well, and I’m always here for bonding potential between the parentals and teens.  (Also, I want to hug you just for remembering that he was in the military, because I swear 90% of fic authors seem to forget [even though it’s mentioned more than once].  It drove me nuts even years ago when I was just around for the Sterek, and only got worse when I came back and my preferences expanded.)  I also kinda like the idea of him doing track as a nod to Stiles doing that in the show (at least I’m pretty sure Finstock had them doing that in lacrosse’s off-season to stay in shape).  Poor Peter.  Between dealing with Chris mostly naked and soaking wet, and watching Noah in little shorts (it was the 90s after all) perpetually running away from him (and probably smirking at him every time he passed, lbr), he probably had to constantly carry a notebook or messenger bag to be sure he could cover up any “situations” that might “arise”.
I’m cool with whatever number you pick, if it even gets referenced.  I was mostly curious if I was just forgetting.  With the letterman jackets, I like to think that Malia has totally stolen Noah’s and wears it in the winter, because it’s warm and comfortable, and smells like him  (later on, she also enjoys wrapping Kira up in it if they’re out somewhere and it’s chilly).  If Peter’s has survived anywhere (the vault, perhaps?) I could see it going to either Jackson (as his mini me), or Allison (so she and her sister can match.)
Yeah, the yearbook thing happened because I was thinking about how some of my friends didn’t have a picture in the class listings, but did turn up in some of the filler pics.  I can see Chris skipping a regular photo (instinct to not be tracked), but ending up in team shots, etc.  And further bonus thought to that image - what if one of them knows someone on the yearbook committee (Lydia or Danny maybe?), and the kids all decide to do a similar pose to sneak into their own yearbook?  And surprise their parents when they’re going through the book with them later?  They could do Allison, Jackson, Malia, Stiles, Scott instead of Chris, Peter, Noah, Claudia, Melissa.
Looking forward to dance shenanigans for both generations.  And more fashion guru Peter.  I can see it now, Peter being like “I didn’t let your dads make these kinds of terrible choices for our dances, I’ll be damned if I let my kids do it"  "Scott if you even attempt to step out of your house looking like that I will show up as a chaperone and spend the entire night getting all up into not only your business, but that of all of my offspring, do not test me."  Him and Jackson basically acting out that "I have done nothing wrong ever.” “I know this and I love you.” meme.
And yeah, I mean, like most popular 80s teen flicks, Breakfast Club does have some great moments (there’s a reason it’s a classic), but it also DEFINITELY has some parts that have NOT AGED WELL.  I didn’t see it until probably at least late high school, and I don’t think I noticed as much then, but then saw it a few years later and was like “ooh, yeah, that’s super problematic in places."  For some visual assistance, here are a couple of group shots.  The line-up in the first one goes Bender (Noah [ironically the character’s first name is actually John, but I don’t remember if anyone calls him that, it’s been too long since I watched]), Andrew (Chris), Allison (Claudia, or Mel), Claire (Peter [I forgot how dark her skirt was.  Also putting him in pants would help with one of the more problematic parts of the movie]), Brian (Finstock).  Also, I’m including this image because I’ve seen it a few times, and it is both hilarious and startlingly accurate.
One thing I keep forgetting to ask about is a rough timeline.  If I remember correctly (I’ve also been re-reading some, and have realized some of my questions were answered, just several chapters previously), Chris moved to BH in 1992?  At the beginning of the actual year, or the school year (which would be August-ish)?  The kids were all born in early 1994, so they would have graduated in 1993?  Am I mathing right?  (If so that makes me sad because they would have been a little too early for "All For Love” from the 90s Disney Three Muskateers movie to have come out.  Such a great song for them, such a fun but inaccurate film.  [God, I loved it so much as a pre-teen.  Chris O'Donnell, Kiefer Sutherland, pre-crazy Charlie Sheen, Tim Curry, just so many things to enjoy.])  This is mostly just me trying to keep it straight in my head.
Also, unconnected to TW, but that post of Avengers memes that was 90% Carol and Bucky shenanigans gave me life.
As always, loving the preview, and the fact that I think any conversation between any two or more of the group could start out “Listen here you little shit” and still be completely accurate and in character.  I love how she apparently just shoves Noah down next to him (I’m surprised she didn’t just shove him in his lap.)  Speaking of, to flashback to the Christmas rant I’m pretty sure I went on at some point, may I also suggest inappropriate (would it really be, tho?) usage of the song “Santa Baby”, and perhaps a slight switch up to “I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus”?  Because why not?
And, uh, thanks *blushes in social awkwardness*.  You are also awesome for coming up with all this in the first place, and being brave/generous enough to write it down and share it.  I’m pretty much always happy to talk fandom stuff and love finding other people as into my fandoms as I am, and this story is just so much fun and I love hearing all your expansions of my wild ideas and conversational segues.  I’m not really used to my weird interests being helpful, so I’m really glad to know this time they are.
I hope that you’re feeling better today (mentally and physically), and that work is overall easy (it’s almost the weekend, right? as a retail worker that doesn’t mean much to me, but seems to cheer others?) and allows you to make your writing goal.  Hugs and positive vibes!
I think I’ve been smiling at this for the better part of several days <3
And yeah honestly, I never really understood either how no one seems to mention Noah’s military background. Like the dude canonically served on the force before becoming a deputy. But you don’t really see it in the fics.
I for one would think Peter and Chris would absolutely try and find Noah’s military uniform (even just the ROTC one) and try and get him to wear it again.
Peter is def the secretary, I think Natalie (who’s one year ahead of them) would make a good Student body president though.
I think I answered the timeline one somewhere? Don’t have the energy to find it right now, but I know I probably tagged it with the usual.
