i don’t know how to articulate it but the doctor asking rose, “how long are you gonna stay with me?” makes me want to break every bone in my body and crush them into dust . here you have the doctor, a near-immortal, asking a question he knows the answer to. he knows any response of rose’s will ring hollow in his reality. two months, ten years, four decades—the numerical value doesn’t matter. the problem with the answer is always going to be that it’s not enough. he knows it, but he asks her anyway because he loves her. he loves her enough to ask.

and rose! beautiful, human rose tells him, “forever” and the doctor smiles so widely that it’s electric. he knows her forever will never be as long as his, but the easy way it fell from her lips…she loves him. she knows she won’t be able to have his forever with him, but she promises her own forever. she gives herself wholly to him. he loves her enough to ask and she loves him enough to answer!!!! isn’t that crazy isn’t it batshit insane to love like this these were literally VOWS!!!!!!

The Beast : Okay so his giant demon body is chained up at the center of a planet magically suspended next to a black hole while his mind is able to POSSESS people. The beast claims to be the actual Devil, or rather "the truth behind the myth", having woven his image as the Horned Beast into every culture. He's like, the original devil in a world where all other devils are the shadows from Plato's allegory.

Lucifer : I mean he's the literal devil? It's not a nickname or a funny name for your devil cat he's literally Samael, the Morning Star, God's favorite fallen from grace angel! Ok theatrics aside, this show as phenomenal and the acting was absolutely top notch. The story itself was heartfelt and the growth the character/s went through was realistic and heart wrenching. The only reason I can see him loosing overall is the show not being popular enough

thinking about doomsday again . the way the doctor grieves rose is so heartbreaking because you can see it in his eyes that he’s always knew this was gonna happen. he was always going to have to grieve her. he’s just…empty. rose, in pete’s world, is banging on the wall, crying, screaming with this childlike anger. it’s so visceral because she’s so young. she’s experienced loss before but not to this level, not this personally, not this tragically. the contrast with the doctor being quiet…..god for someone who is so unable to shut up, his grief silences him and it’s BRUTAL
