It's been awhile since I've done any fic recs, so--
have some DPxDC and Danny Phantom fic recs!
DPxDC fics:

I just started reading this one and I'm only a couple of chapters in so far, but I already love it. Halfa is so good at writing angst, and I love the concept of Danny just finding Jason like this.

A DPxDC + Miraculous Ladybug crossover. This one's a chatfic that has a lot of fun details and plot in it!
We're Coming Home by AKelaNakamura
An incredibly sweet (sfw) omegaverse fic. I love how oblivious Jason is in this, and the hurt/comfort is so good.
I Chose to Close My Eyes by TheWritingOwl
This one was written for a recent writing game in the HH server and ooooh the angst. I love the progression of the story in this one.
Silence by Finemeal
Oof this oneshot's got some good, good angst. Very somber vibes.
Snow Superstitions by halfagone
Halfa writes such good Danny/Tim fics. This one's somber and sweet <3
Makin' My Way to You by DisillusionedDanny
Demon twins/siblings is still one of my favorite tropes in this crossover and I love the idea of them going to find each other when shit hits the fan.

The shenanigans. The identity shenanigans. The slow build, just-- and it's Tim/Danny too. Perfect.

This one was really neat, having Bruce get affected by the portal in a way that kind of mirror's Jasons situation.
Fingers on the Pulse of your (sometimes) beating Heart by Milaley
Milma has only just started this one and I'm already Feral over it. I might be biased, but STILL

Wrong number fics/accidental calls my BELOVED. Love the concept a lot.

This one is really neat. I love the idea of trail cams being used to investigate ghost stuff in Amity Park.
Late Night Hangout by Carelisswriting
Another really sweet savant par one. I love the exploration of their characters in this.
Danny Vs. A Boeing by Danesincry, Spookberry
This one is SO damn cute and fun; I love savant par, and I adore the art that goes along with this.
Blobs of Love by blobghost
I adore identity reveals, no one knows AU, and blob ghost shenanigans. Just-- yes.
Laundry Day by SummersSixEcho
Such a simple idea (ectoplasm staining clothes) that makes for such a neat oneshot. I love it.
A Familiar Taste of Poison by AKelaNakamura
Akela writes the Far Frozen yetis SO fucking sweet. I adore the transformation stuff in this as well <3
Alligator by DizzlyPuzzled
Good GIW agents is such a fun thing to read and explore. Such a sweet take
Phantom Phuckery by nanaarchy
I love a good chatfic. Finding a long one like this is such a treat.
The Apocalypse Club by dumbdpaus
This one has some really nice focus on side characters that don't usually get a chance to shine! And in such a neat way.

Spread the Love Fic Recs <3
There's been a bunch of negativity lately and I think that means we as a fandom need to spread some love around. If you get tagged please add some fics that you think deserve more love, only request is that they aren't insanely popular fics (think like fics with less than 50k hits) this way we can get some other fics out there for others to read and enjoy!!
1.) Premeditation by Chromatographic (Lia)
The problem is that so few people are even able to see what the problem really is.
The problem is that things that manage to find the balance on the knife’s edge of life are so, so hard to kill.
The problem, Jasmine Fenton realizes, two weeks after she moves into Gotham, is one that almost no one, in any dimension or realm, is able to solve.
The problem is simply put, though, even if it’s almost impossible.
The problem is this: The Joker is a Halfa.
this fic has the hardcover ship (Jazz/Jason) and everlasting trio (danny/sam/tucker) it's beautifully written and keeps you on the edge of your seat as you watch the story progress. Absolutely amazing. The writing is just amazing, Chroma sucks you in with beautiful storyline that just blows my mind. And the ending is just absolutely perfect!
2.) Halves by TourettesDog
Jason wasn't sure why Dick thought it was a good idea to drag him along with Tim to Amity Park. His brother seemed to think the strange case would offer a decent opportunity to bond-- without Gotham (and Bruce) close at hand, perhaps it wasn't the worst idea he'd ever had.
Unfortunately, Amity Park is far stranger than Dick anticipated, and Jason hasn't quite been himself since they arrived.
Going to FentonWorks for answers was their first big mistake.
honestly one of my favorite fics atm, I just love Gothamites going to Amity Park, i'm just such a sucker for the idea and we just don't see it enough so this fic is just my dream come true!
3.) Pitch-Dark Shades by SummersSixEcho
Danny Fenton is trying to build a new life in Gotham after closing up the connections to the Ghost Zone. Not that all connections are entirely broken, still being able to perceive shades and give them strength when he connects to one of their prized objects.
Tim Drake is trying to find his own place in the world, focusing on becoming a better detective by solving cold cases in his spare time.
When Tim and Danny meet, a new (begrudging) partnership starts to bloom to solve even the hardest of cases. Or it would if only they told each other the truth.
I truly just love Danny and Tim together in literally any kind of capacity. They just cause so much chaos together and it's amazing. This fic is just absolutely lovely and the prose is amazing. Summers fics are truly enrapturing and just pull you in so easily.
4.) Beneath A Different Light by AKelaNakamura, SummersSixEcho, TourettesDog
When a convergent event hits unexpectedly, Damian and Danny find themselves in the last place they’d expected: In the body of the twin they’d thought long dead. With the after effects still coursing through them and danger lurking in both cities, the brothers must figure out who they can trust—all while slowly learning about the life their twin has led without them.
Or, none of these bastards can catch a break.
Demon twins. Just--just Demon Twins my beloved. This fic is two chapters in and i'm just so utterly in love with it. Summers, Akela, and Dog are just a match made in heaven when it comes to cowriting a fic. The fic just yanks you in so easily and you find yourself thinking about it even after reading the fic. Just a wonderful fic!
5.) Come Little Children by Die_Erlkonigin6083
American Chestnuts were once one of the most important trees along the East Coast. The blight destroyed most of them, but not all of them. There was one chestnut tree, one that entranced a child, and then, what it wrought, enchanted an entire city or two
YALL when i tell you that the storytelling in this is absolutely breathtaking I'm serious. This fic has brought a tear to my eye because of just how beautifully it's written. It's got cool fantasy aspects to it, it's based off of an old fairy tale, it's just so amazing and it's one of my favorite fics to reread if i'm having a bad day. Just truly a lovely fic.
Now, I would like to see @halfagone @spite-sapphic-starlight @noir-renard and @midnightenigma recommend some of their favorite fics if they're willing <3333 let's spread some more love in this fandom!

They had a problem. A big problem. A madman had bonded with an eldritch god from space, it went wrong, and now there was a possessed human rampaging, eating everything it crosses. Constantine and Zatanna had an idea - they found a book about a Ghost King, a being from another dimension so powerful and so dangerous that they only suggested this summoning as a last resort.

The team on the other hand is convinced that Phantom is deathly afraid of space.

The Fenton kids didn't really believe in ghosts all that much, magic even less, but considering John Constantine was a self-admitted conman and the most reasonable person at their parents conferences it was no surprise that over the years they'd formed an attachment. Especially when ghosts burst out of their basement and suddenly magic didn't look all that unreasonable.
John Constantine on the other hand, was just glad he had the authority to ground him after spotting Danny in the Watchtower.

Has anyone got any dpxdc fic recs where Danny and the Batfam (plus or minus Constantine) REALLY don't get on, or are fuelled by a lot of fear and mistrust (at least at first)?
Been reading the real dpxdc GOATS recently (if you give a bat a burger, vertical limit etc) and though there are themes of this it's not the driving force.
Would love to see some stuff that's like, "he's not a teenager he's an immortal interdiminesional king of the afterlife and minor deity and he's fucking terrifying" and he IS actually very scary, or "the lowkey crime family who dress as traffic lights and their pet sad Scouser are organising a ritual that might actually End me I gotta stop them."
Like I've read some REALLY good fic with this dynamic with Spiderman v the avengers and if anyone has any recs would love to hear them.
I want that angsty enemies-to-friends juice but I want them to go through the RINGER for it ygm?
The more horror-influenced, the better!

I need help finding a fic, I can’t find it anywhere else and I’m posting here for help.
It’s that one based off the post where the justice league are snooping around Constantine’s place while he runs inside for a hot second. In doing so they find the graves of Daniel Fenton and Ellie Fenton.
In the fic itself it goes differently, and the Justice league eventually get invited to the coronation of the newest Ghost king, who just so happens to be Johns middle child. I’m pretty sure somewhere in there, Dan threatens Batman or something? Maybe Superman tbh it’s been a while.
seriously any help finding this is greatly appreciated because I’m going to start tearing my hair out pretty soon here.
I’ve scoured my ao3 history, looked up the details I can remember on both here, ao3, and Google, and just started scrolling through maybe-adjacent tumblr tags and cannot find this one godforsaken fic. It’s been dayysss

But lets just show a little more love for the fics that don't fit those tropes.
also disclaimer: this is not any hate to those tropes, i love them dearly and have written quite a few of them myself. but apparently that's all DPxDC seems to be known for so we should take some time to highlight some truly amazing fics.
Born to Make History by Halfagone and Nightshiftshenanigans
It's a Jason Todd/ Danny Fenton Figure Skating AU with a no powers AU and it's absolutely beautiful.
I’m Falling for you (Now we’re both Falling) by Milaley, ziazippy5379
Danny is a paramedic who moves to Gotham because he wants to help people and the pay for paramedics is good. He meets former police officer Dick Grayson who spoiler happens to be his soulmate. Danny's parents struggle with the fact that they are the reason he's a halfa but they don't reject him.
A Second Life by Die_Erlkonigin6083
Danny is reincarnated and wakes up to find himself a little boy who is the clone of Dick Grayson who decides to raise his clone as his son. This isn't really an adoption AU since Danny was created as a clone and he didn't run away from the Fentons, I can't really share more without spoiling the entire premise :3 but it's very good and is a good play on the Danny is a Wayne trope.
Fall Before You Fly by DisillusionedDanny, GuardianofDawn
Danny decides to go on vacation and explore the different universes, he goes to the DC universe and joins a circus and becomes an escapologist and meets Dick who wants to learn how he's so good at what he does.
Schrodinger's Danny by Die_Erlkonigin6083
The Fentons were never Danny's parents in this AU and he became a halfa in a completely different way. Danny is the twin brother of Damian and flees into the ghost zone letting everyone think he's dead. He's younger in this AU and honestly it's such a cool take on the DemonTwin trope.
Forget the Christmas Spirit (Run Away With Me) by halfagone (milkywxy)
Danny and Damian meet in Paris right before Christmas. They fall in love on the trip and Danny decides to spend Christmas with the Waynes instead of going back to his own family where his parents make Christmas an entire thing each year.
We Lit a Match by GuardianofDawn
Danny has a gift that lets him see if people around him are going to die. He learns that he's the reason his family dies and runs away before that happens. He finds himself getting adopted by one Lex Luthor.
No bad parents Fentons, Danny runs away to keep them safe
Not adopted by a Wayne, it's Lex Luthor
it's a fun flip on both of those tropes.
Shovel Talk by SummersSixEcho
Danny and Tim go on a roadtrip for Tim to meet Danny's parents. Established relationship Tim/Danny
It's a very wonderful take on Good Parents Jack and Maddie Fenton and it's just a lovely story altogether.
Eat the Acid by DisillusionedDanny
Danny meets Conner Kent and falls head over heels in love with him. They discover that Vlad and Lex have teamed up to make the ultimate clone warrior. With the help of the Fentons and some unlikely friends they bring the clone back to Fentonworks so that they can raise their baby together away from Lex and Vlad.
These are just a few examples of fics that don't fall into those two tropes, they are all absolutely amazing and wonderful and the writers put a lot of work into these pieces of art. There are so many other fics that fall into these categories, I just don't have the time or space to add every single one but please don't act like all of DPxDC falls under the idea that Danny runs away to gotham to escape his evil scientist parents and gets adopted by the Waynes, that's a very small part of what this fandom does. It's a lovely part but it's not all that the DPxDC fandom is.

break in the park leads to some interesting life changes for Jazz, but for once, it may be for the better.
@halfagone is just in general, an amazing author but she has some really lovely femslash too that I highly recommend!

Jazz is on the run. She needs to find her dead brother's clone and figure out how to navigate her knew life. Why was everybody in her family in a freaky ghost accident that turned them into undead? Danny was lucky, he could turn it off and on. And she? She could suck somebody's blood and hide from the sun at best
@bum-bum-bakudan has some absolutely amazing cass/jazz fics that are some of the best I've ever read! You all should def check out their other amazing works!!

Jazz finds herself taking care of her girlfriend after Spoiler gets shot on patrols. It's a shame her girlfriend doesn't know how to be a good patient and stay in bed like she's supposed to.

Summary: Danny... isn't doing so hot. The GIW shredded his human half to bits, and now he needed to grow all of it back. The main problem is that things like "thinking" and "understanding what's going on around him" is very difficult without a brain.
The Justice League found an unknown entity and have no idea what it is or where it's from. One thing they had figured out was that it didn't seem hostile and it had a voracious appetite.

I’m seeing a lovely trend of recommending DPxDC fics going around so here I am throwing my hat into the ring lol

Beauty lays behind the hills by Library_of_Chronos
Danny loses everything. He runs fast and he runs far, somehow ending up in a back alley known as Park Row, where a strange man with flowers in his hands changes his life.
While Danny does end up staying with Bruce and a much younger Dick, the story focuses more on giving Danny a good support system both within Wayne Manor and with the Justice League, as they all come together to help Danny fight against Vlad. Status: Incomplete

Danny watched as Red Hood reeled. Now that he thought about it, that was probably a creepy thing to say. Danny hadn’t talked to living people in years though, so Jason really should cut him some slack. He was trying his best. It wasn’t his fault living people had such weird hang ups about things.

He wonders though, how he's going to find him when he's unmarked. There's a thousand ways to find a Soulmate, he knows, but Damian has nothing physical to guide him.
Tucker Foley has always worried that Amity Park will be too much for his Soulmate, whoever they are. Soulmates are supposed to match each other, to walk with each other, but there's not many places that are as wild as Amity Park. The only mark he carries though, is the one that links him to Sam and Danny, so he's left to wonder how they might meet.
Damian turns sixteen and everything changes.
A really sweet Tucker/Damian soulmate au with wonderful lore and mechanics and just overall oozing with tender softness. 100% adore this one. Status: Complete

Superman is a little hesitant, but they’ve just agreed to a peace treaty between the lands of the living and the dead, and apparently someone on the king’s council has something they’ve been waiting to say.
Not just a message for Superman. A message for Clark Kent.
