I think we call all agree 2024 is going to be a year like no other.
My New Year's resolution is whenever things get to be too much I promise stop for 30 seconds to replay Patrick Stewart dancing in front of a 1970s Marlboro commercial singing:
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, cut 'em out
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in

Wait, what.
This giant brick of a revolver fires .22 caliber??
Look at it. Look at how tiny that bullet is compared to the gun itself and his hands. That's not an animation mistake, that's pretty realistically sized.
Fox and I had to pause here and back up to make sure we read it right - .22 caliber (5.6 mm) is generally used for light target shooting or pest control. It's a varmint gun. Most personal protection sidearms use at least a 9mm round, and Vash's revolver in the 1998 anime and manga used the even-larger 45 long colt.
A .22 caliber pistol isn't going to do a lot of damage against a human opponent. Yeah it'll hurt, but you'd have to try pretty hard to actually kill someone with - ohhhhhhhhhhh never mind I get it now.
This is a great new little detail that fits Vash's character super well.

"Limited color palette test with hard shading test and semi-redesigns of the sonic 1-3 cast."
This whole thing is kinda supposed to be a classic re-imagining and not modern. That's why I use a lot of OVA and CD inspiration
More Sonic poses
More Tails poses

Coastal Broadwing
Known amongst breeders for their swooping forms, distinctive crest, and exceptionally noble heads, Coastal Broadwings are one of the few who live exclusively along the oceans. They favor warm climates, and like longwings, are almost always grey in color with white hair. Foals are always born totally black and then shed out to white... but occasionally one keeps its black coat. Having “black sand” in your herd is considered good luck.
Another curious feature is their natural affinity for leaping in and out of shallow water. They seem to do this purely for the sport of it and many pilots find it pretty fun if they can master the Coastal’s finicky movement style.
