Airplane! is one of the most enduring film comedies of all time, as its style of parody still inspires movies and TV shows, and it still manages to find new fans more than 40 years after its release. What some fans may know is that the movie's plot -- and even some of its character names and dialogue -- was lifted straight from an old drama film called Zero Hour. Jerry Zucker, part of the Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker team that wrote, produced, and directed Airplane!, spoke about how they evolved the dead-serious Zero Hour into the uproariously funny Airplane!.
Airplane! is available on DVD, Blu-Ray, and most digital platforms.

So I had never seen either the British or the American versions of The Office and I’m still not decided which I prefer after binge watching them. Both are hilarious though! 🗂 🤣#comedyclassics #bingewatching #theoffice (at Portishead, North Somerset) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ9HiWujuG57Y7gOqvzovP9NbFzxhMPtuqrZoM0/?igshid=oxodfwd8yjwj

The 30 Day Smothers Brothers Challenge
The 30 Day Smothers Brothers Challenge
I know this is more niche than my Charlie Chaplin one. And even more niche than the Doctor Who challenge. For example, some of you might be thinking to yourself: “Who the heck are the Smothers Brothers?” In a nutshell: Tom and Dick Smothers are real life brothers and from 1959 to 2010 they performed as a musical comedy team, with Tom on acoustic guitar and Dick playing double bass. Both of them…

🎬ARMED AND DANGEROUS 🎬 Frank Dooley (John Candy) is a beat cop who loses his job after he is framed for theft by two fellow officers. Norman Kane (Eugene Levy) is an attorney who is asked to step down from practicing law, when he cowardly tries to plea bargain for his client after threats of murder. When the duo is paired together in their new profession as arm security guards, they haphazardly stumble across their local union leaders plot to embezzle eleven million dollars. Now the bumbling pair must enlist the help of their bosses daughter, (Meg Ryan) to assist in foiling the plot to knock over the armored truck carrying The unions funds. I want to call this a guilty pleasure film, but I don’t feel even remotely guilty for loving this. The teaming up of John Candy and Eugene Levy is absolutely brilliant. And even after several watching‘s it is still one of my favorite John Candy films. Eugene Levy, as the mostly spineless former attorney Norman Kane, plays perfectly off of Candy’s bravado. Frank Loggia was a fantastic choice for the mob like union boss, and Meg Ryan plays her naïve but rebellious role superbly. Rounding out the rest of the cast: Tommy Lister Jr as Bruno Byron James as Anthony Lazarus, Jonathan Banks as Clyde Kepler James Tolkan as Lou Brackman Kenneth McMillan as Captain Clarence O’Connell Steve Railsback as the cowboy Larry Hankin as Kokolovitch Don Stroud as Lieutenant Rizzo Tony Burton as Cappy 7.5/10 #eugenelevy #johncandy #megryan #frankloggia #tommylisterjr #tinylister #armedanddangerous #comedyclassic #buddymovie https://www.instagram.com/p/CRWeMavMjcj/?utm_medium=tumblr

How Do You Feel (Relationship & Emotion)
How you feel is important in the scene when it comes to the relationship you have with your scene partner and dynamic of that relationship. In this exercise two players will get up and  face each other from the sidelines and then both say how they feel. It can be as simple as an emotion (happy, scared, excited, etc) or maybe they feel like they want to play a certain character (dancer, builder, cop, etc) or do a certain thing or activity in the scene, but specifically for working on relationship an emotional feeling tends to work best. Once players have stated how they feel they will then get a suggestion and start the scene. Lot of times scenes can get stuck where we are talking about a thing rather than the relationship, or the why, or how we feel. Even as just a side not for scene work, scenes can sometimes be put back on track if a freeze is called and the two players both say how they feel or think their scene partner feels within the scene. Even if someone in the scene is totally lost it is better to know that they feel lost than continue to be lost and still dig deeper on 2 separate pages. If in a scene I allow my scene partner to know I’m lost (while still in character) we can slow down and get back on the same page. When we are lost the audience is usually lost, and simply addressing it can get us back on track. How do you feel? I feel like….
