⚠️⚠️Call of duty MW III spoiler⚠️⚠️

I saw people complain about how Ghost reacted when Soap died. But personally, I love it so much that it hurts.

Do you see how tired Ghost is? Like his eyes after he scattered Soap’s ashes ???? That's a whole story there. Simon Riley is a lieutenant, right? During the time climbed into this rank; he already lost lots of people around him, and slowly he learned that sooner or later it would be him or anyone working along. He has a hard time learning and preparing for it, Simon is already broke to feel broken again. Just empty in those eyes.

Not to mention, I've read somewhere that Ghost and Soap knew each other before MW 2019. And that even fucked up. Simon would sometimes blame himself for getting attached (as friend) to Soap. It’s would take a long time. A long time for Ghost to actually shed tears about Soap’s death. Not because he is heartless but again, the breakdown gonna keep building up and till its unable to hide, it's going to be a mess. Simon breaks down into pieces, and later back to his feet with the same broken mind.

And about Soap? I think it would take me a day or two to actually accept that Soap- yea. Everything happened too fast, too quickly that I'm agape. I have love-hate with this twist. Why?

First, its showing that this is war. Everything comes faster than we thought. A perfect example of why we should despite war. Soap got shot right when everything was on fire while Gaz and Price were trying to defend, while Ghost was on the ground… The rush is a perfect way to give us a shiver feeling of how ruthless is it. Yet again, is Soap!!? The scene Price, Gaz, and Ghost around Soap’s disappointed me. They could make it longer, give us time to understand that Soap Mactavish is just death. A 141 member KIA. AND HOW THEY JUST SCATTERED HIS ASHES INTO NOWHERE ????!!? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS MEANS??? ITS FUCKING MEAN THAT SOAP DOESNT HAVE ANYONE. NO ONE ASIDE 141??!!??

I already knew Soap going to die, but this is so messed up-

Edit: I only saying that I like how they portrayed Ghost with pain, not about the campaign. Its feel too rush to cut Soap off and continue to the next chapter. Too rush that I feel like he still alive and his whole death is a cover

Cod MW3 (2023) spoilers below

Some of my thoughts on it.

All I really have to say about the new MW3 ending is this: Remember Price’s reaction to Soap’s death in the 09 games? Yeah :/

I’ll admit “Rest in peace, Johnny..” got me a tiny bit. It coming from Ghost specifically just hits different, but other than that? Eh.

If you really gotta kill the guy off at least make it more emotional? Price was more upset about Laswell potentially dying than actually seeing Soap die right in front of him lmao.

Not to mention Ghost was audibly distressed whenever he thought Soap might be dead in the last game. What happened to that? And don’t even get me started on Gaz. You’re telling me that wasn’t his best friend? Shut up.

Soap deserved better and they changed him so much that it was immediately clear he’s gonna be the one who bites the dust. He suddenly turned into a second Cpt.MacTavish (even in the flashback) when he did not talk and act like that before, no matter how hard shit hit the fan, so who is this stranger, why is he yellin all the damn time and most importantly: why should I care?

there was no goodbye there were no screams whispers of our name ceased no more "Simon" no more "Johnny" just an absence, sudden, abrupt, loud─── I always knew that time was ticking the inevitable was bound to happen One way or another and yet here I sit among the blanket of of your life seeping and coating what's left of me to savour and to embrace the last ounce of warmth from you I hear and feel the shards of glass broken, scattered and strewn inside me Pieces once made me whole Now only serve to break me more

You know...it just watching that scene broke me...because the way Ghost called out to Johnny.

I know a lot of folks complained that it was rush and there were no build-up and cinematic scenes (as per the leaks) but the panic from Ghost's voice was palpable.

It was weak, and almost like a plea.

When he went and turn Soap's head....and to press his hand on the neck to see if he was truly gone or not.

AND here's the thing, it all happened so fast.

there was no time to accept and to really take in what happened.

They had bombs to diffuse, people to kill, Makarov to kill.

and hence the theme, "out of time"

and also hence why Johnny’s body wasnt drawn clearly

there was no time to accept his death, not until his ashes were scattered away

Yes, I know that they're soldiers, special forces soldiers and they were meant to act appropriately bUT LISTEN- GhostSoap's relationship mean so much to me...they literally are the reason my blog was born in the first place so LET ME GO DELULU

I didn't really cry and break down until they spread his ashes....god fucking damn im in so much pain

to think that the world is unaware, that the brightest soul is now gone

a home now gone.

As much as I am focusing on Ghost....i think the team will suffer tremendously as well cause think about it

Soap is their glue, the one who makes the tension lighter, the one who cracks jokes and raise their spirit

I think Price will be the next to be greatly affected by this, because back then he held Soap back when Soap wanted to shoot Makarov in the airport

It will be a grave mistake that he will carry for the rest of his life, he'll probably blame it all on himself.

He'll end up alone again.
