Angel's Best
(my favorite recipe posts I've made over the years, plus backstories that sound like your grandmother's reminiscing over the past.)
LATE WINTER BUTTER ROLLS
My first post I ever made. I was pretty new to the tumblr community at the time. I loved kitchen witchcraft, and I'm the type of person who will ramble on about how much I love cooking and baking. This blog gave me an outlet to express my love of cooking, baking, paganism, and witcraft. And these rolls are very tasty, I make them to this day!
WITCHY TOMATO BASIL SOUP
Tasty, simple, and a crowd-pleaser. It's perfect for a beginner kitchen witch! It was also the second recipe I ever posted.
SWEET CREAM BUNS
It was a recipe given to me by one of my good friends at the time. Every time I make it, it gets devoured in less than 10 minutes. It was also my first recipe to get over 50 notes. I was shocked but ecstatic that so many people would even give it the time of day lol.
WITCHY THUMBPRINT COOKIES
These ones were just fun to make and delicious lol.
A WITCH’S COZY BUTTERNUT WINTER SOUP
A quick soup that feeds a lot of people during the fall season. Fall is my favorite season, so of course I'm very biased lol.
SAMHAIN PUMPKIN BREAD
I love pumpkin bread and apple cider... So why not combine the two? This one was definitely one of my favorites of all time. Moist pumpkin bread and chocolate chips have to be one of my favorite things on this planet. It also makes for the perfect gift for friends and family. Yummy!
ANGEL’S AWARD-WINNING LEMON POPPY SEED BREAD
I love dessert loaves of any kind, so naturally, this would be on the list lol.
MAPLE BUTTER COOKIES
Super simple comfort food! I love any time of cookie with brown sugar.
BRING ME POSITIVITY PECAN FRENCH TOAST BAKE
I love French toast, and I love positivity~
SAMHAIN SOUL CAKES RECIPE
These are really good! And traditional. If you celebrate Samhain, I recommend you make some soul cakes and have friends and family help decorate. I give the littles a bag of orange frosting and let them go crazy lol.
FEEL BETTER CHICKEN SOUP
One of my most recent is my witchy twist on chicken noodle soup!

ok! i think tumblr ate my fucking apple cider recipe post. still, my autumn equinox tradition must carry on!
Apollo's Foolproof From-Scratch Apple Cider That Was So Good It Allegedly Landed Me A Boyfriend
you will need:
12 apples (the variety is up to you, i usually do half granny smith and half whatever's on sale plus a red delicious for garnishing)
10oz raisins
cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, star anise, nutmeg, allspice, cardamom pods, any other warming spices u like (whole > ground) (follow ur heart on the amounts, it's like garlic just throw so much in there. just go wild)
1 orange
brown sugar (i don't have measurements but be prepared to use a LOT lmao, i always buy at least one 32oz bag. you'll be sweetening to taste.)
large pot with lid
potato masher (optional)
two large bowls/pots/receptacles to strain the cider into
fine mesh strainer
cheesecloth or coffee filters (optional)
apple corer or knife
citrus zester
slotted spoon or ladle
the steps:
1. scrub apples gently under hot water to remove grocery store wax coating. core apples making sure all seeds & stems are removed. add apples, raisins, and mulling spices to pot with enough water to fully cover ingredients, and bring to boil. reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
2. scrub orange to remove wax. zest and juice, avoiding the pith & seeds. use a potato masher or other utensil to lightly mash boiled apple mixture so every apple slice is at least partially broken up, then add the zest & juice to the pot. bring back to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for another hour. then turn off the heat and allow mixture to cool.
3. place two mesh strainers over two bowls or pots (and cover each with a cheesecloth or coffee filters, if you have them). with a slotted spoon or ladle, remove as much of the solids from the pot as you can and place them in one strainer (the larger one, if they are different sizes) to drain, then press out as much liquid into the cheesecloth as possible.
4. pour the cider from the simmer pot into the second cheesecloth and press. combine the liquid from both bowls.
5. add brown sugar to taste
cooking tips:
the times listed above are bare minimums. once all the ingredients are in the pot (minus sugar!) you can simmer as long as you want, so long as someone's nearby to supervise.
always add any sweeteners after the cooking process. otherwise, they'll burn and make the whole thing bitter.
if it's too acidic, add baking soda or more spices. if it's not acidic enough, add lemon juice, additional orange juice, or apple cider vinegar.
variations:
add 12oz fresh cranberries to the first step
sub oranges for lemons or apple cider vinegar
sub brown sugar for straight molasses, maple syrup, or alternative sweetener of your choice (I'd imagine fig or other fruit-based sweeteners would work best)
report back to me if you try something new!! i want to hear how it turned out!
serving suggestions:
add three or four cinnamon imperials (red hots) to your mug, along with a dash of fireball whiskey if you're so inclined. i cannot stress enough how fucking amazing this tastes.
garnish with apple slices, orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and/or star anise
if you have dairy-free ice cream on hand, pour some cider over a scoop. you can use dairy ice cream, but it's more likely to curdle.
freeze some in an ice cube tray, then blend with some non-frozen cider for a slushie
ok I've never tried this, but i bet blending with pumpkin puree would slap. PLEASE tell me if you try it
this makes a metric fuckload of cider, which is very rich and can be watered down considerably (seriously). share with your friends and/or freeze some to last the season (or halve it, i guess, but that's no fun :P)

Something’s Wrong With Sunny Day Jack Random Assorted Headcanons
This is just a fun little collection of random headcanons I got! Mostly showing these since I have been wanting to write for a while but either haven’t had the energy or any idea of what to write. Enjoy!
❤️💛💙☀️Sunny Day Jack☀️❤️💛💙
I have a lot of headcanons for Jack but one of them is that he LOVES it when people run their fingers through his hair. He will practically melt into their touch like he was starved of attention and hold your arms so they don’t stop. His hair is VERY soft too so it’s heavenly to touch! A win win scenario!
Jack is very much a physical guy. If anyone gives him permission, he will absolutely take the opportunity. It also has to do with his need to be seen since you can’t really forget someone who practically clings onto you! But seriously please let him hold onto you, he needs physical contact.
HE. LOVES. KISSES. Doesn’t matter where, when, or why just give them to him. He does prefer giving passionate and soft kisses though because to him they show how much he loves whoever he’s kissing.
Very much prefers honey on his pancakes over syrup. He’ll still use syrup but will use honey when it’s available. The natural taste honey has fits better on pancakes than maple or pancake syrup does. He does love a good blueberry syrup though!
🖤💀Shaun💀🖤
Shaun is very easily excitable in my eyes. You’re hyped about something? He is immediately hyped too! You could be explaining the history behind the creation of dishwashers or something and as long as you are happy, he is fully listening and engaging as much as he can all while hyping you up!
Attends furry conventions whenever he can. Is he a furry? No one knows anymore but he does know a few too many inside jokes though.
Canonically, I am pretty sure he is a monsterfucker but in my opinion I feel he likes “weird” monsters the most. Like yeah werewolves and demons are cool but he’d be lying if he said he didn’t have at least one erotic dream about Seth from The Fly.
His favorite fall drink is apple cider! Hot cocoa is nice but a warm mug of spiced apple cider just hits different especially with a squirt of whipped cream!
🧡🌿Ian🌿🧡
To me, I always read Ian as a very emotional guy. Wears his heart on his sleeve type. It’s kind of a side effect of his home life and the way people treated him as he got older.
His favorite flavors are cinnamon, brown sugar, matcha, and pistachio. Flavors for what? Anything really. But mostly in either baked goods or drinks. Speaking of, his favorite milk flavor is a tie between strawberry milk and banana milk.
I get the vibe that on social media, he follows mostly cute animal accounts, food blogs, and aesthetic pages of many varieties. His favorites are the ones that post outfits or accessories for outfit ideas.
One of his biggest fears is spiders and most insects! Something about them just makes him freak out, especially if they got lots of legs like a centipede. Even caterpillars freak him out sometimes, but he rarely ever kills them. Most of the time they get put under a cup and released.
🩶🩵👾Nick👾🩵🩶
Due to us not knowing much about him, most of this is based off nothing but vibes. He is 100% a collector though. He has a whole binder of Pokémon cards, multiple blind bag toys of his favorite games and expensive figurines sit on his shelf, posters are all over his room walls, and his collection is constantly growing.
Very superstitious. If he learns about an urban legend from another country, it becomes part of his beliefs like hiding your thumbs in your pockets while passing cemeteries to keep your parents safe or throwing salt over your shoulder after spilling a salt shaker.
Sometimes when he is alone with his dogs, Pico and Cheese, he’ll have full on conversations with them like they’re people who know what he’s talking about. Usually it’s a rant about someone annoying he had to deal with or explaining what happened at work that day.
Naps often. If you give him an opportunity to nap, he will take it. Even if he gets the best night of sleep in the whole universe, he’ll always be ready to take a nap. Bonus points if it’s with someone he likes or if his dogs are there.

Desserts
The Lord's Favourite (Gogosi)
A Romanian sweet pastry similar to filled doughnuts! Fried in oil and lightly dusted with icing sugar! They have a fluffy airy consistency and are often filled! Pick a filling between chocolate, apricot jam, strawberry jam, cream cheese, or feta cheese! Best enjoyed warm!
Sickle Cookies
Traditional gingerbread cookies in the shape of the sickles, Lord Billy's children carry! Frosted with royal icing and what is hopefully cherry syrup and not...blood...
Wolf Claws
A different take on a bear claw pastry! Shaped into Lycan claws, inspired by Lord Billy's beloved son Lucas! Maple and cinnamon flavoured and hopefully...they don't claw your face off!
The Lord's Cupcake
Extra large cupcake fit for someone of Lord Billy's size! A moist, rich dark chocolate cake base topped with a champagne buttercream frosting. Decorated with sugar pearls and delicate sugar flowers, dusted black for the four black roses pinned at Lord Billy's chest.
Moulded Cookie
A dark chocolate cookie base with white chocolate chips. Perfect treat for the moulded in your life.
Especially if they single handedly defeated a power hungry cult leader, isn't that right, Dearest?
- Lord Billy
Drinks
Mulled Sanguis Virginis
Made with one of Lord Billy's most prized and sophisticated wine vintage! Spiced with cinnamon, cloves and citrus. It has an intense flavour and quite a thick bouquet. Lord Billy wouldn't say what the vintage is made of, only that it literally translates to "Maiden's Blood"....
Mocha Mint Cocktail
Chocolate liquer-spiked coffee. Topped with fresh mint leaves or crushed candy canes with a dash of homemade whipped cream.
Orange Brandy Hot Chocolate
(Daddy's Favourite)
Harrington's favourite holiday drink! It uses a brand of his favourite brandy to add to the cocoa. Add orange juice and top with orange zest! Served with a stick of cinnamon.
Mulled Apple Cider
A classic holiday treat! (And the only one that Dustin is allowed to have). Spiced with ginger, nutmeg and cloves.
Eggnog
Another classic holiday treat! Lord Billy and Billy Hargrove are not allowed to drink this. Topped with cinnamon and nutmeg.
Gingerbread Latte
It's sweetly spiced and full of flavour! With bold notes of ginger, cinnamon and allspice from the gingerbread syrup, specially made by Harrington!

Candles in the darkness. The smell of cinnamon rolls. Soft, warm blankets. The way the golden wheat fields undulate in the wind. Rain clouds sweeping across the countryside. Crimson leaves dancing in the breeze. Bluejay calls in the forest. Sunlight through golden leaves. Tightly knit cardigans on your skin. The taste of meat, carrots, and potatoes. Warm cider, the spices tingling your tongue. Distant roll of thunder on a Sunday afternoon, petrichor on the air suddenly. Crunching of leaves underfoot. Sticky caramel enveloping juicy apples. The warmth of a bonfire on a chilly evening. The sliminess of pumpkin innards. Crisp autumn morning air. The cascade of colors in the forests, the valleys, the fields. Leaf piles. S'mores. Hot chocolate. Soup. Whipped cream on pumpkin pie. Warm baked apples and golden crust. Soft flannel. Sturdy boots. Brown leather and suede. Maple syrup on fluffy waffles. The numbness if your fingers as you sit outside, enjoying a chilly autumn day...almost too much to bear, but it's so gorgeous outside you'll endure anything to take in its beauty. Watching Halloween movies. Eating warm comfort foods with loved ones. The smell of woodsmoke on a crisp afternoon. Leaves floating down a crystal clear stream. Butter on sweet potatoes and squash.
Warm foods. Cozy blankets and sweaters. Breezy golden mornings, drizzly afternoons, and crisp clear evenings. That's what autumn means to me.

Stony and something with apple cider/pumpkin spice?
Love spices <3
--
Steve was hit with cinnamon as soon as he walked into the apartment. He took a moment to just stand there, eyes fluttering closed, letting the warmth of the spices just sink in. Cinnamon, of course, on top--but there were also cloves, and ginger, and nutmeg. Something else, too, a little sweeter? He couldn't quite put a name to the scent.
Under it all was apples. He wondered if Tony had baked an apple pie. He liked to tease him with them, sometimes--an American icon for The American Icon, he'd always chortle. It was charming, enough that Steve had never had the heart to tell him that his favorite pie was actually strawberry rhubarb. He inhaled deeply one last time, but he couldn't catch a whiff of baked pastry.
Cider, he realized, eyes flying open, and charged into the kitchen.
"Hey!" Tony exclaimed, slapping his hand away from the crock pot. He hid it with his body as Steve backed off. "That's for tonight."
"Aw," Steve complained, then frowned, brows furrowing together. "What's tonight?"
Tony raised an eyebrow at him, unimpressed, and crossed his arms over his chest as he slowly reminded him, "We're having that Autumn-themed movie night to celebrate the first crisp day of Fall? You said you'd make old-fashioned popcorn balls."
Steve blinked, then quickly turned to look at the clock. Popcorn balls didn't take a long time, but they could be a little tedious. "Fuck, I forgot that was today. I need to shower after that mission."
"I already popped the popcorn," Tony offered, glancing at the clock as well. "I put it in the oven on low because the recipe I found said it needed to stay warm. If you tell me how to make them into balls, I can do that while you take your shower."
Steve immediately started rolling up his sleeves. Popping the popcorn was the most tedious part. He could make the syrup and get the balls started to show Tony how big they needed to be. "Did you get the candy thermometer?"
"Yeah," Tony answered, pulling it from the utensil drawer for him.
"Great. I don't need the syrup to get that hot, so this'll be quick, if you don't mind finishing for me once I show you what to do."
"Always," Tony answered, going up on his toes to press a kiss to his cheek. "Just for that, I'll get you a cup of cider."
Steve turned, catching Tony's chin in his hands. "No need," he said, leaning down to press a kiss to his lips before Tony could question him. He ran his tongue over Tony's bottom lip, urging him a little closer, and Tony obediently let his mouth fall open with a moan.
He tasted like apples, and cinnamon, and a little bit of caramel. He liked to line the rim of his cups with it like a margarita, dip it into a cinnamon-sugar mix. When the hot cider ran over it, it added an extra depth of flavor and sweetness to it. It added an extra depth of flavor and sweetness to Tony's mouth, too.
Tony carefully grabbed his shoulders and eased him away, eyes fluttering at his own reluctance to stop. "We should get the popcorn balls finished," he said, frowning at the pot still in Steve's other hand.
"If we work together, we can finish quickly, and then we can shower together to save time," Steve offered.
"You're cute," Tony teased, leaning up for one last, quick kiss. "Natasha threatened to rip the seams on one of my suits and I'd only know which one when it fell off me if she found us getting handsy again."
"It's our fucking home," Steve complained, but Tony laughed, walking over to ladle out a cup of cider as consolation.

I am baking another god damn pie!! Doing my best to tweak my pie crust recipe. Someone remind me at an indeterminate point in the near future to write down my cozy cake recipe. That one is pretty well tuned at this point. That and highly adaptable, as I can turn it into any flavor cake with ease.
We had a load of oranges, so I turned my cozy cake into an orange juice cake. I went overboard on getting as much of the orange into the cake, from the cake to the frosting, and even to the glaze and the candied orange peel garnish, and orange marmalade between the layers.
I just wanted to see how much of the orange I could use and how many different ways I could put orange in the cake. Took three full days to make. I replaced the liquid with orange juice, took the meat of the orange and made a marmalade to go between cake layers, then I had to blanche and candy the orange peels.
I however didn’t like how the orange oil I made tasted, so I didn’t use that in the cake.
Then I mixed the orange syrup I made into the frosting for the cake. (DONT DO CREAM CHEESE FOR THIS CAKE) (It was nice yes, but a butter cream or icing would work orange flavored. But with the cream cheese it was just a touch odd in a way that I found unharmonious in flavor profiles.)
But yeah, I am gonna make a tray of mango jam hand pies, and then figure out what to do with the apples… spiced apple cider donuts maybe? I mean I end up making apple cider as a byproduct of making apple butter… So I would have apple butter as well…
I have some thinking to do while I bake my pies…

CockTails in the Skyy! - Drink Recap
Tumblr media
I made it through eight rounds of drinking, so I could get through Our Skyy 2 with minimal damage. Below are the basic ingredients for each drink, links to the connected post rambling about each episode, and the drinking GIFs I used for each installment. Feel free to take the GIFs and the drink recipes to use as you'd like.
Tumblr media
Bottoms Up!
Rum-Antics - Never Let Me Go (7.5/10)
Tumblr media
spiced rum since I couldn't get Mekhong
smashed blueberries for that purple color that Nueng and Palm always had during their lovey-dovey scenes
ginger ale because I think Nueng was studying abroad in England, but if not . . . it is what it is
brown sugar and lime juice on the rim for class differences
Tumblr media
Sun & Stars - Star in My Mind (7/10)
Tumblr media
gin & tonic to balance the bitter and sweet of Daonuea and Khabkluen's dynamic
pineapple juice for that beach vibe
elder flower syrup and vanilla bean sugar on the rim to add to the sickly sugariness they expell
Tumblr media
Jack Nasty - The Eclipse (8/10)
Tumblr media
Jack Daniel's Honey Whiskey for Akk and Ayan's sweet yet intense dynamic
unfiltered apple cider for the A+ prefect jerk, Akk
lemon juice for the wrench in the system and Sour Patch kid, Ayan
honey and cinnamon on the rim for Kan and Thua
Tumblr media
Purple Pair - Vice Versa (6/10, could've been 9/10)
Tumblr media
Absolut vodka because vodka is my least favorite liquor (just like this show), but Absolut since much like this company, I'm gonna support my fellow queers no matter what
cranberry juice for Puen's pink(ish)
curaçao for Talay's blue
lavender syrup and rock candy on the rim for the wild switcheroo between calm and chaos
Tumblr media
For Goodness' Sake - My School President (9/10)
Tumblr media
sake for Chinzhilla's hot pot adventure
more white wine for all the whining and pining the Gun and Tinn did
lemons, limes, oranges, grapes, and apple slices for the sweetness overload (I was going to comment about the variation of fruits, but I don't know the crowd's feelings on the word, so . . . *takes a big sip directly from the bottle*)
Tumblr media
Deja Brew - A Boss & A Babe (8/10)
Tumblr media
dark coffee for our "tough" boss, Gun
vanilla brandy for the boss's babe, Cher
soy milk and ice for the men holding it together Tubtab and Jack
whipped cream and chocolate shavings for the disgustingly sweet Three and Zo
Tumblr media
Sleigh What? - Bad Buddy (9.5/10 crossover with ATOTS)
Tumblr media
champagne because all I hear is Jessie Ware's "Champagne Kisses" when I see these too
coconut water for episode 11's cake by the ocean (sex on the beach)
mint for that refreshing Pran smell that Pat loves
Christmas glass because it felt like Christmas getting that crossover and never forget Pat was shot on Christmas Eve!
Tumblr media
Par-tea-ing Ways - A Tale of Thousand Stars (9.5/10 crossover with Bad Buddy)
Tumblr media
tequila because I was saving my favorite liquor for my favorite series in this lineup
mango tea for those sachets that saved the village

Tumblr media
As usual,
Cheers, Queers!
