Anti-Flag have broken up. After making a short announcement on their Patreon, fans went digging. They found a recent episode of the Enough podcast, and while the woman alleged an unnamed singer from an East Coast punk band raped her, the timing of the alleged sexual assault tied in with previous accusations towards Anti-Flag singer Justin Sane. The previous allegation appeared on Tumblr last year, with a user asking, “Justin Sane from Anti-Flag. Am I really the only person this has happened to?” A screenshot is circulating on Twitter, which saw at least two other people reply to the post.

As much as I've loved Anti-Flag throughout the years, the allegations against Justin Sane are just too damning. The other band mates seemed to know something already, because the speed at which they announced the breakup and the dismantling of their online accounts was frankly astonishing. It sucks because their music and message was so invigorating. It just goes to show, though, that a predator can and will be anywhere. I hope his victims find healing and happiness in their lives.
