Keefe Sencen. He's just. Hhhh. Anson Seabra mixed with Shawn Mendez mixed with like. That one guy who sings "I don't want the world to see me because i dont think that they'd understand how everythings made to be broken i just want you to know who i am". I wrote a whole fanfiction about this.

Wylie Endal. Damn. Damn damn damn damn this kid can SING.

Marella Redek. No thoughts, she has this talent and she's never going to sing for you, she's highkey so embarassed about it.

Biana Vacker. Belongs in a musical. Whichever you think fits her best. But she's got the voice for musical theatre.

Glimmer Alenefar. She can sing fairly well. Hers is a voice for stairwells and echoey hallways.

Tam Song. No one can sing MCR like this kid. He's got a voice for emo music, and he's fun to listen to.

Fitz Vacker. Fine voice but was never trained in it at all and never liked the way it sounded. So he's got a bit of insecurity about the way he sounds. But his voice is decent, if you'd ever get him to sing.

Stina Heks. Lana Del Rey vibes but she doesn't practice enough to make it count for anything. She is off-key 20% of the time.

Linh Song. She's average. Not super good, not super bad, can carry a tune. She's got a voice for singing happy birthday to her best friends and humming bars of tv intros.

Maruca Chebota. Eeeeeeh. She's not horrible but she would rather die than sing unless she's in a huge group of people. She'd sing at a concert when no one can tell its her. that's it.

Dex Dizznee. He has a singing voice for written lyrics.

Sophie Foster. Again, wrote a fanfic about this, she's deplorable at singing. She's got a voice for the most embarrassing karaoke performance this week, and therefore she will not touch a microphone with a 39.5 foot pole.

The notion of “fiction” and “real” is intertwined within the theatre. No matter how verisimilar the play may seem, the audience may not perceive it as real; vice versa, no matter how illusory and surreal a narrative gets to be, one can still exercise their imagination and be fully immersed in the narrative. Once stepped into the theatrical space, the audience gets to suspend their disbelief and be ready to participate in a collective “act” of fabrication – for one becomes an active spectator, the “comrade” to “conspire” an impossible reality.

Make & Believe harkens to the 2023 theatrical-installation performance We are for real, nonetheless, unfolding its narration in an exhibition space instead of a theatrical space. As the narrative context shifts, the previous distinction between “fictive” and “real” is eradicated, projecting alienated expectations and assumptions from the participating audience. In this regard, the collective experiment constructed in the theatre destructs into an individual experience with a deeper introspective focus. It liberates the audience’s unidirectional visual perspectives from the spectator seats into a scattered, all-around spectacle by allowing them to free roam within the exhibition hall. Are these transformations equipping the audience with an omniscient vision that was absent as a theatre spectator? Leaving the narrative-driven theatrical space, can the audience perceive implicit messages between and outside of the lines of the exhibits?

In Make & Believe, we invite you to join the conspiracy again – in an exhibition hall where the performers are absent. The audience is left to conceive and perceive by engaging their senses, rediscovering the idiosyncratic performative qualities of scenery, installations, lighting and soundscapes, collaging fragments of existence, non-existence, reality, “the truth” and imagination, in turn constructing their perceptual landscapes. Can the myriad of sensual stimulations, inspire one to rely on intuition to perceive and conceive, travelling inward to search for meaning and answers?

In collaboration with Tung Wing-hong (Mechanical Installation), Ng Tsz-kwan (Mechanical Installation), Ho Sin-tung (Text / Painting / Installation), Human Wu (Scenography), Lam Lai (Music / Soundscape) and Lau Ming-hang (Lighting), these multi-disciplinary artists excelling in different mediums collectively interweave a rhapsody of Gesamtkunstwerk (a total work of art) by echoing with one another while preserving each individual’s creative authenticity for the visitors to feast.

During the exhibition period, several curated performances will be presented. A brand-new composition crafted by Lam Lai, brought by three renowned musicians, Nazar Tabachyshyn (accordion), Wilson Chau (French Horn) and Tiffany Au Kai-see (Bassoon), will accompany the soundscape installations to render an illuminating music creation. Creative performers from We are for real, including KT Yau Ka-hei, Anson Chan, Pearlmi Tam and Tung Chung-can, will also be offering a new collaborative performance on-site. Stay tuned for the shows!

Does Hong Kong still enjoy a “high degree of autonomy”? That question has come into the spotlight again as the result of recent actions by both the Central Government Liaison Office and the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office. On Friday 17th April, the Liaison Office in Hong Kong declared that as it and the State Council’s Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office in Beijing are authorized to represent the central government in handling Hong Kong affairs, they have the power to supervise matters that affect the overall interests of the SAR. This apparently means that neither of these bodies are subject to the restrictions on activities in Hong Kong that apply to other Central Government departments. With me to talk about this issue, and the Hong Kong government’s response to it, are former Chief Secretary Anson Chan, Honorary Chair of the Liberal Party James Tien, and commentator Chip Tsao. I should add that we also invited several pro-government figures, including Maria Tam, Rita Fan, Ronny Tong and Albert Chen to take part. They decided not to join us.

Tiểu Bộ – Tập I – Tiểu Tụng (Khuddakapàtha) – Giới Thiệu, Tam Quy & Các Bài Kinh

Ðây là quyển kinh thứ nhất của Tiểu Bộ Kinh (Khuddhaka Nikaya), có lẽ đã được tổng hợp thành một quyển cẩm nang cho các Sa-di và Sa-di-ni. Quyển nầy gồm 9 bài kinh, bao gồm các đề tài cơ bản cho những vị xuất gia bắt đầu đời sống tu hành tại các tu viện. Tuy nhiên, nhiều đoạn kinh cũng được dùng để giới thiệu các căn bản Phật Pháp cho các cư sĩ.

Bài kinh thứ nhất và thứ hai dùng trong các buổi lễ xuất gia của Sa-di và Sa-di-ni. Bài kinh thứ ba là các hướng dẫn tiên khởi để quán thân thể, một bài tập để vượt thắng lòng tham dục. Bài kinh thứ tư giới thiệu các phân loại cơ bản để phân tích, phát triển tuệ tri, bắt đầu là nguyên lý duyên sinh, trọng tâm của đạo Phật.

Bài kinh thứ năm đưa ra một tổng quan về sự tu tập – bắt đầu từ nhu cầu gần gũi các bậc thiện tri thức, và chấm dứt khi đắc Niết-bàn. Bài kinh đề cập đến các phước hạnh như là một sự phòng hộ thiện lành, không phải từ các nghi lễ rườm rà mà từ các hành động bố thí, giới đức và trí tuệ. Bài kinh thứ sáu khai triển từ bài kinh thứ nhất và thứ năm, đề cập chi tiết về Tam Bảo Phật-Pháp-Tăng, và đồng thời trình bày cách thức tu thiền để đắc quả Dự lưu, quả đầu tiên đưa đến Niết-bàn.

Bài kinh thứ bảy có chủ đề về lòng bố thí quảng đại, công đức từ sự cúng dường chư Tăng được hồi hướng đến các thân nhân đã qua đời. Bài kinh thứ tám giảng về các hành động từ thiện, bố thí sẽ đưa đến lợi lạc lâu bền, tốt hơn là các đầu tư về vật chất. Cuối cùng, bài kinh thứ chín trở về đề tài hành thiền, chú trọng đến việc phát triển lòng từ mẫn, thiện ý, yêu thương mọi người, mọi loài.

Tất cả 9 bài kinh này, trong những ý nghĩa khác nhau, thường được tụng đọc và suy niệm trong các cộng đồng Phật giáo Nguyên thủy từ xưa cho đến hiện nay. Hằng ngày, cư sĩ lẫn tu sĩ đều tụng đọc bài kinh đầu tiên về quy y Tam Bảo để tự nhắc nhở. Các tu sĩ thường tụng các đoạn kinh trích trong các bài kinh thứ năm cho đến thứ chín khi nhận lãnh sự cúng dường của cư sĩ, và thường dùng bài kinh thứ năm (Kinh Phước Ðức) làm đề tài trong các buổi thuyết pháp.

Tóm lại, quyển Tiểu Tụng này được dùng như một quyển kinh dẫn nhập hữu ích trong bước đầu của đời sống tu sĩ và trong đời sống của mọi Phật tử hiện thời.

If I speak the truth in an obviously disguised field, will you believe me?  If I fake it in a ‘fake it till you make it’ space, will you also believe me?

You believe/ you don’t believe/ you sort of believe, and you doubt/ you beg yourself to believe/ you refuse to believe/ you cheat yourself into believing it… Can you really fake it till you make it?

When performers present their own self in a performance, are they role-playing? When a performer perfects an audience-preset/ expected ‘self’, can you distinguish the genuine from the acted? It is said that every illusion on the stage is a copy of reality. Are you sure that the so-called authenticity of existence exists? 

Welcome to the creators’ labyrinth of truth and illusion! Light dims, curtain rises, audience and creators entered into an indescribable and unspecified contract to construct an impossible reality together.

As we depart from the theatre, will the reality become more concrete? Does ‘truth’ only exist as a belief?

Multi-art-discipline mastermind Orlean Lai makes her directorial debut and collaborates with media/ visual artists Ng Tsz-kwan and Tung Wing-hong, composer/ sound artist Lam Lai, lighting designer Lau Ming-hang and costume designer Trista Ma. With stories and paintings created by visual artist Ho Sin-tung, the team appropriates kaleidoscopic and boundless theatre elements, and altogether constructs an inconceivable, magical landscape. Multi-talented and highly unique performers KT Yau Ka-hei, Anson Chan, Pearlmi Tam, Tung Chung-can and Pollux Kwok perform themselves with every means of solution, unleashing spectacle and imagination from viewing and performing!

KRALİYETİN KINA GECELERİ Çok keyiflidir evlilik öncesi hazırlıklar, mutluluğun sinerjisi, dileklerin umudu, paylaşım dolu özgün zamanlar. Geleneklerimizle, adetlerimizle, yeni detayların harmanlanması ile güzel hazırlıklar. Yöresine ve tercihe göre değişen, gelin hamamı, çeyiz hazırlığı, kına gecesi, maniler, müzikler, keşkekler, zerdeler… Kraliyet ailelerinde her ne kadar belli prosedürler geçerli olsa da yine her Kraliyet Ailesinin kendine özgü törenleri ve hazırlıkları vardır. Kraliyet düğünü öncesinde 2 ailenin ve özel davetlilerinin katıldığı “pre wedding” olarak isimlendirilen aktiviteler ve resepsiyonlar düzenlenir. Evlenen kişi veliaht ise bu resepsiyonlar 2 ya da 3 gün sürebilir. Davetler sade ama çok özel detaylarla hazırlanır. Kraliyet ailesindeki bayanlar ve davetliler şıklık olarak gelinin önüne geçmemeye özen gösterirler. Davet öncesinde basın ile fotoğraf paylaşımı yapılır. Birkaç gün süren davetlerde konser etkinliği yapılmışsa halk da davet edilir. Damadın sağdıcı ve gelinin baş nedimesi bu resepsiyonlarda çift için birçok detayı kontrol eder.

Kraliyet “pre wedding” resepsiyonlarından detaylar

Pierre Casiraghi & Beatrice Borromeo Monako Prensesi Caroline’in oğlu Pierre ve İtalya’nın ünlü aristokrat ailesi Borromeo’ların kızı Beatrice’in resmi nikahlarını Monako Sarayında 25 Ağustos 2015 de yapıldı. Davetliler kraliyet resmi nikahı sonrası Monako Sarayı bahçesinde Monako tarzı piknikle ve gece resepsiyonla ağırlandı. Beatrice resmi nikahında Valentino imzalı pembe elbisesi ve saçlarında çiçekleri ile beğenildi. Düğün için Beatrice’in ailesinin sahip olduğu Maggiore Gölündeki Borromean Adası tercih edildi. Düğün öncesi 31 Temmuz 2015’de pre wedding resepsiyonu verildi. İtalyan kız tarafı Borromean Adasında çok özel bir parti ile misafirlerini ağırladılar. Davetliler düğüne akdenize özgü şık, ergonomik kıyafetlerle ve sandaletlerle katıldılar. Damat Pierre adaya sürat teknesi ile geldi. Pierre spor şıklığı ve yakışıklılığı ile dikkat çekti. Kraliyet gelini Beatrice, Valentino fildişi elbisesi ve gladyatör sandaletleri ile yine çok zarifti. Saçındaki çiçekler yine çok beğenildi. Davetliler adaya teknelerle ulaştılar. Özel davetin mönüsü de özel İtalyan mutfağı özel lezzetleri ve Borromeo ailesinin üzüm bağlarının ürünlerinden ürettikleri içeceklerle bütünleştirildi. Monako Kraliyet Ailesi, Borromeo Ailesi, Norveç Veliahtı Hakoon ve eşi Prenses Mette-Marit, Lüxemburg Prensi Felix ve eşi Claire, Eva Herzigova, Lana Del Rey davetin özel isimlerindendi. Gelinin büyükannesi İtalyan Kontes Marta Marzotto sinerjisi ile herkese enerji saçtı. Borromean Adası, Kale ve gölün bir bölümü pre wedding ve düğün töreni süresince turistlere kapatıldı.

İsveç Prensi Carl Philip & Sofia Hellqvist İsveç Kralı Carl Gustaf ve Kraliçe Silvia, oğulları Prens Carl Philip ve Sofia onuruna Kraliyet davetlilerini düğünden 1 gün önce 12 Haziran 2015’de Stokholm Limanından misafirlerini alan Kraliyet yatında özel bir davetle ağırladılar. Kraliyet yatının Skeppsholmen Adası etrafındaki turu daveti harika görsellikle bütünledi. Müstakbel Prenses Sofia resepsiyonda Zuhair Murad 2015 imzalı uçuk mavi bir elbise giydi, Marre Hitti tarafından taranan saçları doğal dalgalı olarak açıktı. Sofia tarzı ile eleştirmenlerden tam not aldı. Damat özel davetine siyah simokin ile katıldı. Damadın sağdıcı 1990’dan beri tanıdığı yatılı okul arkadaşı Jan-Ake Hansson davette ve düğünde Prensin hep yanındaydı. Pre wedding resepsiyon mönüsü, İsveç özel lezzetleri ile Lübnan seçkin yemeklerinin birleşimi ile hazırlanmıştı. Vejeteryan olan ve sadece balık yiyen gelin Sofia için özel bir tercih yapılmıştı. Avrupa Kraliyet Ailelerinin ve özel misafirlerin ağırlandığı davet yine özel bir İsveç misafirperverliği sundu.

Prens William & Kate Middleton Prens William ve Kate onuruna, dünyanın 4 bir yanından gelen Kraliyet Ailelerinin taçlı başları ve özel misafirler Kraliçe Elizabeth tarafından verilen davette, Londra Mandarin Oriental Hotel’de ağırlandılar. Mandarin Hotel aynı zamanda Kraliçe Elizabeth’in ilk özel dans performansını sergilediği yer. Kraliçe Elizabet’in torunu William’ın Kate ile evlenmesinden duyduğu memnuniyet tüm törenlerde yüzünden okunuyordu. Kraliçe Elizabeth davete leylak rengi parlak damask desenli elbisesi ile katıldı. Resepsiyonun davetlileri, özellikle Kraliyet ailelerinden gelen misafirlerin şıklıkları birbiri ile yarıştı. Düğün öncesi daveti Kraliçe Elizabeth’in kuzeni aynı zamanda Kraliyetin geleneksel resepsiyonlarını yöneten Party Planners şirketinin sahibi Leydi Elizabeth Anson bizzat titizlikle organize etti. Leydi Anson aynı zamanda Prenses Diana ve Charles’in düğün öncesi törenlerini de organize eden kişi. İngiliz Kraliyet geleneklerine göre düğünden 1 gün önceki davette gelin ve damat yer almaz ve geceyi aileleri ile özel paylaşımla geçirirler. Prens Charles, Camilla ve Prens Harry kokyeyl sonrası davetten ayrılarak Clarence House’da Prens William ile geleneklere uygun olarak özel bir kutlama yaptılar. Prens William düğün öncesi gecesini Annesinin gelin çıktığı Clarence House’da babası ve kardeşi ile birlikte geçirdi. Kraliyet gençleri ve arkadaşları düğünden birkaç gün önce Mahiki Night Club’da parti yaptılar. Kate düğün öncesi son gecesini ailesiyle birlikte Londra Goring Otel’de suitte geçirdi.

İsveç Veliaht Prensesi Victoria & Daniel Westling Müstakbel İsveç Kraliçesi Victoria’nın Daniel’e aşık olması ve ailesini özellikle de Kral babası Carl Gustaf’ı ikna etmesi masalsı bir hikaye ve mutlu sona ulaşmak pek kolay olmadı. Daniel zorlu sınavlar sonrası Victoria’sına kavuştu. İsveç halkının sonsuz destek verdiği bu aşk için pre wedding kutlamaları ‘Love Stockholm 2010′ teması ilan edilerek başlandı. İsveç Kral ve Kraliçesi kızları ve damatları onuruna çok özel davetler verdi. Veliaht Prenses uçuk pembe üzeri taşlarla işli elbisesiyle ışıldıyordu. Daniel müstakbel eşinin şıklığına siyah smokin ile eşlik etti. Evlenen veliaht olunca resepsiyonlarda sindirella masalını aratmadı. Götheborg gemisinde resmi bir resepsiyon düzenlendi – 16 Haziran Drottningholm Sarayında Kral ve Kraliçe tarafından Victoria ve Daniel onuruna özel akşam yemeği verildi – 17 Haziran Sturehof Kalesinde özel bir öğle yemeği daveti verildi Eric Ericson Salonu’nda akşam yemeği daveti ve ardından Stockholm City Hall’da resepsiyon düzenlendi. Riksdag (İsveç parlamentosu) ev sahipliğinde Stockholm Konser Salonu’nda bir gala konseri gerçekleştirildi.

Danimarka Veliahtı Frederik & Mary Donaldson Pre Wedding kutlamalarının en görkemlilerinden biri Danimarka Veliaht Prensi Frederik ve müstakbel eşi Mary Donaldson onuruna verilen davetlerdi. Hani derler ya 40 gün 40 gece. Evlenen geleceğin Kralı olunca Avrupa Ailelerinden ve özel misafirlerden katılım da en üst seviyedeydi. Mary’nin davetler için seçtiği uçuk mavi kendinden desenli elbisesi ve kırmızı elbisesi çok beğenildi. Mary’nin katıldığı davetlerde taktığı mücevherlerin ve tacın görkemi geleceğin Danimarka Kraliçesini ilan ediyordu. İlk davet Mary’nin Avustralya’lı olması nedeniyle 20 Nisan’da Avustralya Büyükelçiliğinde verildi. Langelinie Askeri Geçit töreni Kraliyet düğün törenlerinin başladığını ilan etti – 05 Mayıs Parken in Rock’n’Royal : Parken stadyumunda halka açık konser düzenlendi –  07 Mayıs Avustralya’lı Vali tarafından Kraliyet çifti onuruna davet verildi – 08 Mayıs Kopenhag Limanı’nda halka açık yelken yarışları düzenlendi – 09 Mayıs Christiansborg Sarayı’nda Kraliçe Margrethe tarafından oğlu ve gelini onuruna gala yemeği verildi Kopenhag Town Hall’da Resmi Resepsiyon düzenlendi – 12 Mayıs Kraliçe Margrethe tarafından Amalienborg Sarayı’nda özel bir akşam yemeği daveti verildi – 12 Mayıs Genç misafirler için Kopenhag’da bir gece kulübünde geç saatlerde Private Party etkinliği – 12 Mayıs Folketinget (Danimarka Parlamentosunda) Kraliyet törenine ait Resmi Resepsiyon düzenlendi – 13 Mayıs Kraliyet Tiyatrosu Kraliyet misafirleri için gala performans sergiledi – 13 Mayıs

Hollanda Kralı Willem-Alexander & Maxima Zorreguieta Şimdiki Hollanda Kralının, evlendiği zaman Hollanda Veliaht Prensi ünvanı taşıyan Willem-Alexander’ın düğünü çok önemliydi, Hollanda tarihe not düşülecek geleceğin Hollanda Kralının düğün hazırlıkları görkemli şekilde planlamıştı. Avrupa ve dünya Kraliyet Ailelerinden önemli isimler Hollanda’ya Kraliyet nikahına şahitlik etmeye gelmişlerdi. Gelin Maxima pre wedding resepsiyonunda gelinliğinde olduğu gibi Valentino tasarımı orange rengi elbisesi ile katıldı. Willem-Alexander siyah smokini ile nişanlısına eşlik ediyordu. 25 Ocak 2002’de Başbakan Wim Kok ve eşi Bayan Rita Kok-Roukema Máxima Zorreguieta ve Prens onuruna Lahey’de Ridderzaal (Knights ‘Hall) bir akşam yemeği daveti verdi. Resepsiyonda özel bir müzik ziyafeti ve Lahey Kraliyet Konservatuarı Henry Purcell tarafından bestelenen bir düet sunuldu. 26 Ocak’ta Kraliyet misafirleri ile Madurodam gezisi yapıldı. Akşam Noordeinde Sarayında bir davet verildi. Maxima davetinde kırmızı ipek bir elbise seçmişti. Davete Küba dans orkestrası müzikleri ile renk kattı. 27 Ocak’ta Scheveningen Kurhaus’ta misafirler bruch ile ağırlandılar. 31 Ocak aynı zamanda kayınvalide Kraliçe Beatrix’in doğum günü, Amsterdam Dam meydanındaki Kraliyet Sarayında bir resepsiyon düzenlendi. 01 Şubat öğlende Amsterdam Concertgebouw Kraliyet Concertgebouworkest tarafından konser etkinliği düzenlendi. Akşam Amsterdam Arena stadyumunda Amsterdam belediyesi tarafından 50.000 kişi için halka açık bir etkinlik yapıldı müzik, tiyatro ve dans içeren festivalde Kraliyet çifti için düğün dansı müziği çalındı. Bu etkinliği Maxima ve Willem-Alexander ulusal düğün hediyesi olarak nitelediler.

Norveç Veliaht Prensi Hakoon & Mette-Marit Tjessem Hoiby Olaylı ve tepkili başlayan aşkın mutlu sonu ulaşması ile düğün hazırlıkları başladı. Prens Hakoon’un sağdıcı Danimarka Veliaht Prensi Frederik ve Mette-Marit’in başnedimesi arkadaşı Linda Tanevik, Mette-Marit ve Prense düğün hazırlıklarında detaylarda yardımcı oldular. 2 gün süren Kraliyet düğünü etkinliklerinden biri Kral Harald ve Kraliçe Sonja tarafından Veliaht oğullarına düğün hediyesi olarak verilen Skaugum Malikanesinde yapıldı. 22 Ağustos 2001’de geleceğin Norveç Kralı ve eşi basının karşısına çıkarak bir basın toplantısı yaptı, sorulara samimiyetle verdikleri cevaplar halkın desteğini artırdı. 23 Ağustos’da Skaugum’da Kral ve Kraliçe tarafından özel misafirler Kraliyet resepsiyonunda ağırlandılar. Mette-Marit beyaz sade bir elbiseyi tercih etmişti. 24 Ağustos’ta Prens Hakoon ve Mette-Marit onuruna Norveç Kraliyet yatında öğleden sonra bir davet verildi. Akşam Akershus Kalesi’nde Norveç Hükümeti Kraliyet çifti ve misafirlerini ağırladı. Mette-Marit uçuk mavi elbisesiyle beğeni topladı. Kraliyet düğün günü sabahı Henie Onstad Kunstsenter’de misafirler Kraliçe Sonja’nın özel sergisini gezdiler ve öğlen yemeğinde Bolgen & Moi’de ağırlandılar.
