On Sakura

I hated sakura so much when watching the show, yet when you list out her achievements it DOES LOOK LIKE SHE IS USEFUL, so why when actually watching the show does all of that disappear? Why is she so hated in the fandom?

(Ignoring the fact that this is a shounen based anime, where the main fanbase is a bunch of misogynistic men)

From a writing standpoint, kishimoto doesn't have the best outlook on women. In my personal opinion, I really dislike how women are portrayed in the series. A lot of it falls under the “nagging wife” archetype, which just reminds me a lot of those old boomer jokes abt hating women or hating their wife.

Also, when i talk about disliking sakura, I’m not talking about her in the OG. I mean, she was 12-13 then, and most 12yr olds are annoying. Comparatively to Naruto and Sasuke, she lived a pretty privileged life, so I think her attitude was justified. Both Naruto and Sasuke had their…moments…as well.

I think in a lot of the filler, they trump up her personality to the point where its annoying, similarly with naruto but bc hes male and also a mega idiot already, it isnt talked about. Filler isnt present in the manga, so manga readers tend to appreciate her more.

here is where i get a little biased..

Comparatively to naruto and sasuke’s connection (they are literally soulmates, platonically or romantically), her romance with sasuke is so flat and one dimensional. Shounen in general as a genre focuses so much on male characters development. It honestly feels like their romance was hastily thrown together at the end of the series. This makes her devotion to him seem shallow and vain.

(This next part is only really applicable to shippuden and somewhat in the OG series i dont really expect a 13yr old with no jutsu to be the best fighter)

I feel like the series intentionally makes her, and really every woman character weaker in terms of endurance (besides Tsunade). Like it feels like the writers say "thats enough fighting for a girl, make her get knocked out" 20secs into a fight. I remember watching her battle with Sasori and being so excited for her to be a badass in shippuden..only for a bunch of episodes to pass and not really getting that same feeling again. To be fair, I wonder if i would have felt the same if I skipped filler episodes. Regardless, I think she could have been more involved in combat, I would have loved to see that from her. “But she’s a healer!!” she can fight also, doesn’t she do that in Boruto? She can do both.

I also think the studio fucks her over a LOT. Theres a few other moments of her in the anime saying some pretty outrageous things, one of them being “I wish i had parents I could respect a bit more, I’d be better off without them….Why’d you have to be here now? If it was Sasuke, I know he would understand”, to an orphan, which is wild as fuck. I can’t remember if that episode was filler or not, but some of the lines they give her are just outright insane. I can’t think of a sane character that would say that.

In conclusion to this essay of a post..

Fuck The Writers.

i recognize this might be a bat to a hornets nest but curious about more in-depth ndvr3 opinions

hi anon im sorry this took one million years to answer properly (bc i never got an answer back about how long you wanted this to be) but im answering it now. spoilers for v3 and very concentrated dislike of dr as a series (and especially v3 lol) below the cut

as a whole, dr does a very poor job at making its characters feel fleshed out. this is, i know, kind of the point - they're all supposed to essentially be very exaggerated versions of some specific tropes common in jp media, i.e gundham being an extreme chuuni. after the first game though, which feels like more of a proof of concept than an actually well-designed game, the extreme flatness (ironically shown very well by the pop-up-book art style lol) just gets worse and worse and the characters in v3 in particular are even less fleshed out than before. i realize that for v3 this is somewhat a consequence of them trying to drive home the 'these are characters written by someone else' point, but like.......even if you're trying to make the point that someone wrote the characters to be like that, you can still write the characters well if you're trying to pull off genuinely emotional moments w them. e.g. every time they tried to make kaito's illness sad i could not give LESS of a shit about it because he just has the one-note personality.

dr has always had the problem where characters - outside of komaeda and hinata in sdr2, who are IMO the best developed characters in the whole series, especially komaeda - are only as well developed as the amount of time you spend doing their social links (or occasionally the particular trial that focuses on them, if that applies). of course, it's literally impossible to complete everyone's social events during the main mode of the game - unlike, for example, p4 or p5, where you can at least get close if you dont finish the whole social link. as such, it is extremely difficult to form an attachment to more than 1 or 2 characters before they kill/are killed. this is especially true when it's immediately obvious who has less of a personality than everyone else - or has more of a trope of a personality - and it's intensely predictable who is going to die early. for example, in v3, it was almost immediately obvious to me that tennis guy, maid girl, and angie and tenko were not going to make it to the end of the game, and were all early deaths, because of how paper-thin their personalities are. of course, this meant that i didn't bother doing their social events at all, so i had no attachment to them when they did inevitably die. this is a problem w every single dr game but its especially bad with this one.

(don't even get me started on how ive been able to figure out the majority of the solution to each case before the trial even starts or gets farther than like 30 minutes in. or how the issues that the students raise are often incredibly stupid and take WAY too much time and energy to shoot down when its so obvious that they're completely wrong. it's just. filler for in so many of the trials and it is incredibly annoying. the amount of filler before seesaw effect made me insane.)

now for my main v3 specific complaint: the fucking ending.

i actually like meta endings, you must understand that about me before reading the rest of this. meta in video games in general is something i love as long as it's well executed. i adore how uchikoshi handles it in [GAME REDACTED TO AVOID SPOILERS], for example, even though a lot of people seemed to have missed the point with it entirely.

the key word there is "well-exectued." v3 is not.

first of all: if you're trying to make this a meta case where v3 is part of the ongoing DR series....why are you trying to say that the video game you're playing is part of a TV show???? it feels as natural to say that a TV show you're watching is secretly a book someone else is reading. it's not a natural jump between mediums in the slightest, and what makes it even more annoying is that dr as a series is a primarily-video-game series!!!!!!!!! what on EARTH are you doing trying to be meta about your video game secretly being a TV show. it makes no fucking sense. if they tried to say that it was a mixed-medium franchise, that I would accept, because DR IS a mixed-media franchise. but it feels incredibly stupid to retroactively say that 'these two video games we wrote in the past are actually tv shows.' what? no. that's not how mediums work.

secondly: the meta does not work effectively in a series like dr to begin with when it already is constantly breaking the 4th wall for comedy - which i don't actually have any significant problems with. i personally think it's a lazy way of trying to be funny when it's the primary way you try to make your game funny, but i can accept that it works with the general character trope adherence of the series as a whole. however, because of how meta is often used as a joke in the series, when they suddenly try to make the meta serious, while also still keeping elements of the meta comedy at the same exact time that you're revealing that the meta Is Dead Serious Stuff, the complete tonal dissonance really works against you.

lastly: it does not really feel like the writers wrote v3 as a whole to be meta, if that makes sense. [redacted uchi game] feels like it was always meant to be that way, and so it feels completely natural that it leans into fourth-wall breaking all the time. however, the way that the meta ending comes across in v3 is just that they didn't have any other better ideas on how to end the game/were running against a time deadline and just threw in the 'ehhhhhhhhh we're already meta all the time for comedy let's do that for the ending but serious this time' towel. as i said earlier, i like meta in games when it's well-exectued, but poorly executed/written metanarrative always sticks out, and in the case of v3 it is especially bad because it doesn't even seem like they wrote the first case AFTER the last case....which you need to do in order to successfully pull off the meta in a case like v3. and is also wild considering the very beginning of the game makes it clear that they did actually go back and try to drop foreshadowing earlier without editing much of the rest of the game to accommodate for that.

tldr the writing around the metanarrative ending is just so intensely bad that it's kind of unbelievable to me that people think it's a good ending.

sorry if you like dr but tldr its a mediocre series and its baffling to me how it got popular, but also people saying v3 is better at being meta than [redacted uchikoshi game] is an opinion ive seen more than once that just makes me fucking laugh.

titans fans think they own the dickkory tag but seem to forget that in no way did they invent it. Dickkory has been the ship name for decades for the two characters for the comics. It so happens that other versions of the ship (like titans) have tacked onto dickkory tag to make it easier to enjoy content. Robstar is used solely for the 03 cartoon. I don’t mean to hate, i like titans as well but it comes off as belittling other media forms to prop up others. Ie putting down the cartoon for the show even though they are completely different but still star our favourite dc characters and the reverse as well. I dont get why fans fee the need to be negative like cartoon fans hating on titans - they are completely different but they are both still valid. Just cos you don’t like one of the versions, doesn’t mean they need to be dicks about it. Sorry to vent, night but I see the bullshit on twitter and now here too. Its so stupid.

Sigh. In a way, I feel this, anon. I get what you mean with the end part of that - it is stupid. Titans, 03 show, ttg, dcau, comics… at the end of the day, i stay out of that bs drama with what is better or whatever cos that is childish af.

I very clearly have a favourite version which has always been the cartoon. Its what got me into DC and i grew up with it when fics and fanart were going strong and it was back in the early 2000’s, you know. The good ol’ days. 😂 But, despite that being my favourite, I also really enjoy Titans cos its a gritty version that is aimed at an older audience. I think that is what a lot of fans who prefer comics or the cartoon etc struggle with. I think they lean towards flat out disliking it bc it isn’t what they know and it’s different. There’s nothing wrong with not liking Titans. It isn’t everyone’s cup of tea; hell, i dropped it for s3 bc i was so uninterested in what they were doing by the end of s2. I also did not care for all the side characters taking spotlight over the main ones but I digress. But, keep it out of the fan’s faces, you know?

Its rude and really annoying when you have fans shitting on your good time. Titans has had a good time so far with dickkory and so fans are allowed to enjoy that. The fact that other dickkory fans who dont like Titans are being dicks about it is weird, in my opinion.

Same as, i think fans who try and shit on fans who love the cartoon are lame af. Like so what if its old? So what if it was aimed at younger audiences? So what if you dont like it? Point is, other people do so leave them to enjoy it. My biggest gripe with the cartoon is people saying it was childish considering it actually tackled some deeper topics, despite being a kids show.

Main point here is, people who gatekeep tags and shit are losers. Like, no one owns anything and anyone acting like that is sus, imo.

I get so sick of seeing people fight over different versions of a ship considering at the end of the day, its all the same?? Like dickkory for example. You may not like them in one format but you do in another. Personally, i am so fucking starved for dickkory content, i will take it from anything. Any version is allowed to be in the tag, old or new like jeez.

They are all valid formats if it means i get to see my two idiots in love.

A lot of people hate the DCAU but i really enjoyed those animated movies cos of, you guessed it, dickkory. They showed their relationship so nicely in that. It was wholesome as fuck but was also a little flirty so it was aimed at the adults more so. I think some people see animated stuff and immediately think its shit and childish which literally isn’t the case at all.

The comics are the og sources for these characters and I’ve seen a lot of ‘comic gatekeepers’ moan about other forms of the characters as well through the years. Now, i’ve got knowledge of the comics but im not some purist who has read every single one, more so bc fuck, I can’t keep up and comics contradict all the time cos of dumbass writers (looking at you T*m T*aylor 👀) but, i still appreciate the comics being the thing that started it all off. Without the comics, I wouldn’t have my baby Koriand’r 🥰 so anytime something remotely to do with dickkory comes out in comics, im rooting for it, purely cos i like seeing some form of life for my ship.

TTG is also valid; its silly and fun and that’s okay too. The titans are like a chiller version of the justice league and they are a team that notoriously is a bit less serious in all formats; they still have very serious storylines but they are the younger team ya know? Again, i think thats why a lot of people don’t like TTG either which is FINE but dont be going into ttg tags and mouthing off about how shit you think it is. Like its bad fandom decorum. Personally, I don’t care much for ttg; i did at first. I liked it and watched it regularly but now i just dont. But again, im not out here bitching about how it isnt the og cartoon so its crap or it isnt titans so its stupid.

I didn’t mean to rant like this but I just find it so fucking ridiculous that we’re still at this point in fandom where people can’t just let others enjoy shit. It is pathetic especially when shit like this comes from people who are literally adults like come on ffs. Get a grip.

I will continue to stay in my dickkory bubble, enjoying it in all forms which I advise fans to do lmao, it’s much less annoying and bitter when you just let yourself enjoy your ship In whatever formats there are.

Need I remind people that dickkory, despite being hella popular and loved, hasn’t had anything substantially canon in a long time so if shows like Titans are feeding fans, don’t be a dick and rain on parades. It’s not fair when people just wanna enjoy it and it just makes you an ass.

My opinions on Demon Slayer/ Kimetsu No Yaiba Dub voices.

Please read this section before giving any accusations, I am not hating on people or thier tastes. Also writing this on mobile else I'd make it prettier. But I am bad at summarizing so yeah.

Okay so I recently got Crunchyroll and I saw they offer multiple dub languages which peaked my curiousity. I wrote alot of notes down for my roommate as we both watched them all + the uppermoons for the english dub as we have seen alot of english dub clips on tiktok.

I am more neutral on the sub vs dub thing and think it comes to personal tastes or accessibility. My dyslexia isnt severe enough I can't read subtitles and use them often for my dysaudia. And as I said people have different tastes so in this case I dont really care. As long as we respect each other.

That in mind, we usually go with the ones that we like the voices for more unless the anime isn't dubbed yet. Usually we prefer the sub but often still like the dub and will watch both. Sometimes we hate the dub and a few times we like the dub better. Just really comes down to how we like the voices. There isnt always a reason for it, its just what feels right to us lol. I feel like I can be picky.

Okay so with this in mind the Japanese voices are our favorite and what we like, but I'm here to give my opinion on the English, Spanish & Porugese dubs. And go from favorite to least favorite.

I do NOT think these are bad VAs but more so bad casting.

Spanish Dub

TL;DR: Would legit watch if I had it had english subs or if I was MUCH better with spanish. 😅🥰

I feel like it mostly hits the mark pretty well, I don't like Kyojuro's voice and muichiro sounds a bit too old. But a few of them sound like the japanese vas speaking spanish, some changes in voice but voices do that when switching languages I find. But overall if not sounding very similar they go for something that fits the character in some aspect very well. Like Sanemi's unhinged rants when he has Nezuko.

⭐ SPANISH OBANAI GIVES ME LIFE. The guy they chose sounds a little hissy in his voice and it just fits so well and makes me laugh bc of that. (Fits well enough outside the hissy part too)

English Dub

TL;DR: Great VAs, BUT the casting person was high or drunk tho. Its so dissapointing and infuriating to me.

THE CASTING FEELS SO OFF. LIKE I KNOW VOICE ACTORS IN HERE AND THEYRE GREAT, BUT I FEEL LIKE THEY GAVE ALOT OF THEM THE WRONG ROLE SISODHIDJS. Some of these feel like the bad dub voices of early 2000s and 90s anime (not saying all are bad, just talking about the bad ones) very annoyingly so. Not my least favorite but infuriates me the most 😅 Inosuke, Gyomei and Sanemi are alright. The hashira overall bother me the most, though it sounds almost like they aimed for a deku-like voice for him which bugs me as like.... that worked for Deku because he's a dweeb.

⭐ The uppermoons sound great! I feel like its pretty spot on, zenitsu as well. Albeit that Zenitsu is more annoying.

Portugese

TL;DR: Overall least favorite, maybe its that I need to hear more Portugese voices overall? Regardless it just didn't scratch my brain the right way. Like trying to pet a cat like a dog.

so far one of my least favorite, the voices mostly sound so off. Sanemi is pretty decent, Gyomei's voice is SOOOO DEEP. The Sanemi is kind of similar to the spanish. But most dont feel like they fit at ALL. Misturi's sounds like a stereotypical spanish tv dramas (tele novellas??) Like in cartoons and such. Shinobu sounds almost like robotic, or a voice filter.

⭐ So far Second favorite voice for Kyojuro I feel, despite me disliking most of the voices??? Very odd 😅😂

9. worst part of canon mm.. im gonna be honest boss. i like all of rain world. maybe the lack of some context, but on another hand, i Love that that so many things are up to interpretation!! like, what even IS the cycle!! i dont know!! btu ive got my theories and i lvoe theories:) like its all told through the pov of a SLUG so like its expected that the slug wont learn that much!! n i lvoe that.. i love sulluges... n i cant even say that the worst part is the horror of it all because i LOVE the horror of it all... i love it all dude sorry i love it all. rain world (n buddy sim) is a perfect game to me. n like, sure, theres propably some bad parts i could think of if i tried hard enough, but none are bad enough that id call them 'worst'.. tho im ceirtan it does have bad ascepts lore wise. i cant think of any rn. i love htem all. everything i think about that could be bad i realize i actually love

7: character i hate not bc of canon but bc of how the fandom treats them ..... UP AND ADAM . i actually really liked adam i thought his aesthetic was really fun and i was excited for him but the way he overshadows other characters who are way more promiinent despite having no speaking lines and no personality yet and not having had literally anything to go off annoyed me . give me salem content!!!!!!!! no more of him!!!!!!!!!! ive seen enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no hate to my adam loving mutuals i dont shut up abt jedidiah and he takes up a lot of space too its just a certain kind of adam fans that grate on me)

8: common fandom opinion everyone is wrong about . taptap . usually how people kind of take away elijahs agency in his own actions? people tend to favor a portrayal of elijah that suggests that while his Actions were bad, his Intent was not bad . that he didnt know what he was doing somehow and was trying to do the right thing . which i think is pretty blatantly disproven by the fact that he was still weird towards sydney before the ritual ever happened and by how malicious his manipulation of sydneys disabilities is but eh . i also find people dont tend to understand what jedidiahs arc as a privileged individual .... Means? (this isnt gonna be femidiah discourse i swear pls pls) which is on two sides of the spectrum theres the spectrum that just decides hes a completely bad person without any rigorous analysis of his character that treat privilege as an unnuanced thing . OR people who refuse to analyze that many Many interactions jedidiah and sydney have automatically have an underlying of ableism to them and that most plot poitns in their arc you can look at and say this is about disability bc they like jedidiah and again, cant see privilege as nuanced, and feel like they hvae to avoid the everpresent fact of his ableism and privilege to be able to like him . both of which come from a lack of understanding of how privilege like . works . ppl struggle to be nuanced about jedidiah i find . and as a whole like to take the characters and decide if theyre good or bad based on how much they like them

LET ME CLARIFY THAT I DONT MEAN THAT ITS BAD . i can think something is overrated and still like it . but VERY easily rowaniper..... i love rowaniper i think theyre very cute and all but people seem to forget that they interact in like ..... one episode ......... and its a cute episode!! but people act like theyr The Main Romance or something and its like can we calm down . and i wouldnt even mind so much but people tend to ignore like ...... everything interesting about their relationship? bc to ME . the sweetest thing about rowaniper is how juniper Tries for rowan how he acknowledges his own flaws and how he harms rowan and tries his best to improve tings . but people like to pretend that junipers done nothing wrong ever so you dont even get that most interesting part of their relationsihp </3

hmmm i dont think i have any super unpopular opinions abt video games? i'll give u a three part ramble response tho on three different fronts:

most of my dislikes is just personal (like i dont get how ppl are really into stardew it just seems like smthn thatd get boring to me super quickly i hate games that really need a routine and if ur looking at it from the bachelor/bachelorette side also it seems. lackluster theyre all boring basic milquetoast white ppl except for like 2 characters) (or me not liking shooters or team games in general mainly bc im bad at aiming but i feel like ppl playig those games tend to be too high strung and a lil annoying which makes me more anxious/a worse aim)

idk if this one is unpopular either but i dont get the whole clover/alice ship for vlr. like are they close? yeah anyone could see that but i dont think theres any romance to it. i think alice is in a position where shes got too much heart for her job though. having clover do such high stakes missions where shes in danger a lot probably takes agood toll on her but i think thats from the position of her not wanting anyone else and their families to have to go through the struggle she had to with her father and she knows clover has been through the game before and that she has her brother to think about. i also think clover just does admire alice and see her as a companion but more like a mentor than a romantic partner yknow? i mean also ppl can just ship what they want it doesnt have to have a long drawn out reason but to me its just like w/e.

one i KNOW i get teased at a bit for is liking visual novels over other types of game and like. sure w/e im playing a power point we get it. but having the visual with you when engaging with a story makes it hit a lot harder! its not like a show or a movie where you just watch it unfold and cant take it at your own pace vis novels put you in the drivers seat and allow you to experience the story while it unfolds! it lets you make choices and see where you end up! ill even include dating sims in this bc trust me i know theres a ton of lackluster bottom-of-the-barrel sims but i think u have to play a few of those to really appreciate how hard a good one can hit you

ok thank you bc despite my best efforts to be open minded i just cannot get behind k1raodo… like i think for the whole “i am interpreting this straight couple from a piece of media as lgbt” thing to work i have to first care about their relationship as its presented. which i dont. bc like… what does kira get out of this relationship? i can maybe buy odo admiring her but i cant see kira having romantic interest in him. i love odo but kira can do better. also i think their dynamic just… works better as friends yknow? the way its written just feels very forced (and at least to me felt like part of the general trend in ds9 of kira getting more feminine as the show went on which annoyed me personally lol but i just like it when women are butch)

yeah i feel the same way :( kira gets very manic pixie dream girl-ed when she's put in the romance with odo and it sucks. and the show just doesn't do a good enough job of showing us why she's into him as more than a friend. and then there's the whole thing of odo having worked with the cardassians during their occupation of bajor and kira never really facing head-on the truth that he was a collaborator, which is frustrating enough when they're just friends but totally maddening if we're supposed to buy that they're a couple. like it just seems like something that should totally tear them apart if they don't talk about it but the show never really examines it too closely. theres a million other reasons i dislike them as a couple also but if i listed them all we would be here all day

shed be pretty affectionate! more physically than emotionally, but theres definitely both. i feel like her friendships would be important to her especially bc shes been pretty lonely for a lot of her life (especially in unreality - after her first death shes almost entirely isolated from people, other than the occasional unreality traveler or anon). but shed probably refrain from being so affectionate incase shes annoying or something - she wouldnt want to ruin something so important to her or make anybody mad.

librariessss. i think shed always go reading books as a kid out of curiosity. shed play coolmathgames on the computers. libraries are generally just a nice, safe place to be. especially since she spent a lot of time there as a kid, she remembers it fondly :)

unreality is a 50/50 'safe but on guard'/'GET ME OUT OF HERE'. she knows shes safe but is it where literally 99% of her trauma takes place lol. unreality is also hostile to people/life, but give it enough of yourself and it wont hurt you.

she has a lot of negative memories of it, with lots of deaths in many different places. shed be wary of like anywhere she goes, knowing anything could hurt her. she is very aware that shes weak, so she tries to compensate with vigilance, knowing when to run

shes generally positive, trying to see the best in things, but as an arbiter she starts seeing things more negatively. she likes to make people happy and be a sort of light in the world.... but doesnt really care as an arbiter, kind of resigning herself, saying shes only a tiny part of the world and that shed make no true difference (also being an arbiter and fucking with people is fun). kind of edgy but like. after unreality hell itd make sense okay lmao

however like i said shed never hurt an animal. completely reverts into a positive mindset around a kitty cat

its easy to shock her. easily spooked no matter what lol. shes not very easily confused, though, and likes to think things through. lying to and manipulating her are harder, especially in the future/as an arbiter, bc she has like no trust for anyone. she trusts people to do their jobs and such but worries when it comes to relationships/personal things. shed like to think shes trustworthy! she can be trusted, but as time goes on she gets less and less trustworthy.

🍐 What is your OC’s mentality? Are they overall positive? Negative? A bit of both? Describe their thought patterns and reasoning behind their choice making!

like i said, overall positive. she tries to see the best in things and make good out of a situation, empowering herself to get through it.

she just doesnt trust the sephirah much at all so she takes what they say negatively, and tends to not really argue with people who talk badly about her, like "they have a point tbh". she doesnt want to be egocentric or only see herself positively. she tries to make choices that help everyone (and sometimes to gain peoples trust/prove shes a good person).

idk what her earliest memory would be tbh.. but she has a good memory. she took her first steps at her own house (technically her parents but still lol). and her parents were SO proud and they recorded it and everything. she couldnt keep anything since she got put into a whole new dimension while at work so. kinda hard to keep anything

she was born in the nest, living a pretty good life there! youll never guess why she doesnt live there anymore. she hasnt moved much, but she did actually move a bit away to work at l corp. the nest is still her favorite place, its just normal place for once.

sun was such a happy baby. full of childlike wonder (amplified by being a child). she was a nice kid, but was also super curious and unafraid to be a menace. she only loses this partially as a teen. she had good parents so she basically learned to be a good person and stuff (pretend i know this part thanks). she kinda just misses her youth generally, especially just being innocent/not knowing things. she regrets not spending more time with her parents.

day, sun, winter. the day is just pretty tbh, sun > rain, and winter is super chill. you can make snowmen and snow angels and have hot chocolate. its awesome

her hairband is from her parents! it reminds her of them and makes her happy :)

she has a pretty good fashion sense, and likes wearing popular stuff, but sorta puts it off as a manager. she wouldnt care much about what to wear is she just wants to be comfy. for a party, shell put effort into dressing nicely though and wear a dress.

These are only my personal observations and not facts.

People with asteroid Ceres(1) conjunct Ascendant have animals flock to them when they are in a room with animals

Its common to have neptune synastry with your parents since you see them as a super hero when young and then when you get older you start to see all their flaws.

People talk about Plutonians being toxic and Neptunians being deceptive but forget how people with a lot of Saturn hard aspects can have extremely sensitive egos and become toxic bc of that. Saturnians can be very obsessed with status and being above others so much so that they even become discriminating towards those they see as ”less”

Aries Rising have the habit of sounding like they are picking a fight when talking. They might call people out a lot like ”Are you sure that really happened because that sounds impossible?” Ive noticed this with some Scorpio Risings and Chiron 1st housers too. Scorpio and Chiron 1st house usually do this to show how strong and unafraid they are of fighting.

People with mars conjunct pluto are usually either drawn to very controling, aggressive and dominant men or they will be the controlling dominant ones in the relationship. The same with Venus/Pluto but with women. Pluto makes you scared of what it touches so you will either be controlled or take control there.

People with Venus/Uranus might feel a strong dislike towards everything thats ”in”. They will be like ”No I cant buy that because everyone has it”

Ive noticed that Leo Moons are super loyal and they usually stand up for others even if they dont have too.

Neptune 1st house people were most likely extremely photographed as children. There might be thousands of pictures of them, they might even have been childmodels. Marilyn Monroe has this placements and she is one of the most photographed people. Also Kim Kardashian has this.

Mars Square Jupiter people can have an extremely high libido

Its easier to notice when someone has Moon Square Pluto than moon conjunct Pluto because the conjunction makes the person more comfortable with their own intensity. I sometimes get chocked when i see that someone has the conjunction because they are so calm and kind but I always notice when a person has the square, especially women.

People with Venus Square Ascendant are not only hateful towards their own appearance, they notice everything on other people too. They are usually extremely analyzing towards other people, i usually notice instantly when someone has this placement by the way they look at people. Very very criticizing and they usually comment too

People with venus in the 8th, 9th or 7th house might be VERY spoiled on their birthday becasue they will often have transit Venus in the 8th house on their birthday indicating money from others. Everyone wants to give me stuff when venus transits my 8th.

Virgos and Capricorn suns usually dont like PDA.

A lot of people with chiron in the 1st house have the habit of trying to make other people jealous because they are so tired of feeling jealous of others and they want to be the envied ones for once.

My friend have Pluto 6th house and its actually annoying how much she talks about her job

Lilith conjunct Sun people have a lot of issues with society. They might have a hard time getting a job and being a part of society in general and this makes them rebel a lot as a form o revenge. This also makes them have a hard time following rules because why be good when everyone will see them as bad anyways.

A lot of Aries Risings are easily irritated and people usually walk on eggshells around them. You dont want to ask them the same question too many times because they wont just answer they will tell you something rude like ”What did I tell you last time you asked that?” Or ”Here is where the forks and knives are LIKE I TOLD YOU BEFORE!”

Ive noticed that where you have your natal pluto might be what your reactions to others are based on and also where you feel intense envy towards others. Like people with pluto in the 1st house can be extremely envious of peoples looks and ive seen this in real life. People with pluto 10th house on peoples position and status. My friend with pluto 6th house have VERY strong reactions to people she feel doesnt work hard enough.

So on my other tumblr I posted about my favourite haikyuu characters a while back. These were Nishinoya, Kenma, Kuroo , Bokuto and Tendou. I also mentioned Akaashi being sarcastic. And I do still stand by this. Let me explain

Nishinoya bursts onto the scene he's hyped out and when he first appears he seems really cool. He's very supportive of hinatas drams and encouraging, willing to help, and very loyal to Asahi, not wanting to rejoin if Asahi doesn't. Is he chaotic? Yes definitely but he's also serious when he needs to be, supportive, very serious and cool and talented and the court. Yet he still seems really humble and like someone who constantly wants to improve.

Kenma is honestly someone I just adore. I kinda relat to him with the whole being introverted and not liking people that much but still caring about what they think. He can be adorable. But he's also really smart. What he doesn't have in strength and speed he makes up for in intelligence and technique. He's constantly observing people and is proof that you don't need to be the most athletically gifted person on the court. Kenma is playing a position of intelligence and it makes sense. I dont really know how to describe it because other setters in haikyuu are also shown to be very athletically gifted and passionate, but Kenma isn't. Kenma is playing volleyball because his friend asked him to. He doesn't care about being the best for himself but he still wants his team to win. Its easy to overlook kenma sometimes when comparing him to kageyama, atsumu or oikawa. But for someone who doesn't particularly like or dislike volleyball he is very talented, he's not flashy but he is effective. In the end it doesn't matter how flashy you are, what matters is if you can help your team reach victory and kenma does this. Also, as someone who isn't particularly sporty or athletic myself, having someone like kenma is a bit of a breath of fresh air.

Kuroo and Bokuto are going in the same paragraph bc they're not only 2 of my favourite characters, they're also probably one of my favourite duos and also part of the reason I love them is my friendship with each other. First of all, who decided Kuroo was this cool, suave flirt? I've seen this a few times and honestly? I don't hate it but I respectfully disagree. This man may seem cool at first but you very quickly learn that he's a need and a dork and I mean that in the best way possible. Sure he looks cool and mysterious but honestly that's just a cover for how much of a nerd he is. Also he clearly is passionate about volleyball but he is also willing to help others learn even if they're on another team, and so is bokuto, which I honestly love . He likes teasing his friends and taunting people but is able to be serious when necessary and he's talented with various ways if tricking his opponents but still plays fair. Now Bokuto is a slightly different case. He's talented, we know this, he has his emo mode, and he can get over excited. His emotions are very prone to mood swings and I feel like in any other show I'd be annoyed by him but it's bokuto. And bokuto also encouraged tsukishima, also helped teach hinata, also was supportive and encouraging and, as for his emo mode, that's really just him feeling demotivated and annoyed at constantly getting blocked as anyone surely would feel. Its just bokuto doesn't hide his emotions he wears his heart on his sleeve and shows his emotions freely. Real men show their emotions and Bokuto is proof of that. And together, him and kuroo are 2 people who ate actually friends, despite being on different teams, genuinely enjoy hanging out and practising together, they bicker like friends and honestly it feels like one of the more realistic friendships on haikyuu.

Finally Tendou. Oh tendou. Ngl I'm a bit of a suckered for even mildly angst backstories and Tendou, with the being bullied for being or looking different, stole my heart and made me want to protect him. Because despite being bullied he's still kind, still patient, treats his friends well and teases them but you can just tell he cares. He's just precious. Sure, he can be a menace, especially on the court, but he's kind of adorable and he just says what hes thinking. Also his friendship with wakatoshi, yes. He honestly is just adorable and I don't understand how anyone could bully him, even if they were kids. He deserves love and protection and only good things from life.

Idk if you have ever watched Katekyo hitman Reborn, but I was part of the fandom even before the anime boomed (it’s like… 2010-11-ish, I think?I was a little younger than MCs, so around 11-12 yo and now I am 20+) and I remember out of all characters liking Tsuna (mc) the best, even tho he was a loser and wasn’t really all that cool… and I still remember how anime boomed bc the artstyle changed significantly in the later arcs and suddenly all characters started to look really hot.

And god how much I’ve hated it! Bc suddenly there was shit ton of people who were actively thirsting for all of those characters but also there were A LOT of people who were hating on Tsuna, and I really, REALLY disliked it :)))) Idk maybe I’ve really related to the fact that he was a normal guy just thrown into the world of mafia and crazy people out of nowhere, in a way that I also experienced a lot of bullshit I didn’t want to be a part of back then(but no one asked my opinion obv).

For that reason I really disliked the fact that so many people have joined KHR bc characters were hot… it rubbed me the wrong way and I think I also didn’t really like majority of the cast all that much? Characters like Hibari seemed to be just hot and crazy without any personality outside of it. I wouldn’t say that my years in the fandom were miserable, but it sucked to constantly hear that your fav character is annoying and dumb…

…And then I’ve decided to rewatch the show a lot of years later :’))))) AND GOD FUCKING DAMMIT I AM SO FUCKING PISSED.

I don’t even know how to say it… but after I’ve rewatched KHR I’ve realized that majority of the characters I’ve disliked are actually pretty cool and I love their personalities and little quirks, and as for Tsuna… holy fucking shit he takes the medal for literally not changing AT ALL. Like, at first everything was fine, but then I’ve realized that he legitimately practically didn’t change from the very first episode. Then again, I don’t know if you’ve watched it but anime have ended on the arc where Tsuna and his friends literally have saved SEVERAL WORLDS (it makes sense in the context I swear) and then in next arc (two last arc weren’t animated) he was beaten up by fucking SCHOOL BULLIES… bruh wtf… I mean, sure, he was beaten up while trying to help another person to get out of troubles (which he probably would have never done in the beginning of the story) but I still can’t get over the fact that so many chapters/arcs later he is unable to defend himself…

What I am trying to say is that is an extremely shitty feeling to return to the franchise you love just to find out that your fave sucks ass practically didn’t change from start to finish, while a lot of other characters get a lot of growth and actually CHANGE. I’m so salty about it you have no idea :))))))

Reborn was THE fandom for me back when it was pretty popular!

I dont remember Tsuna being hated all that much but as always I mostly stay on the fringe of fandom because I know how people can be. But yeah... I do know the KHR fandom was one that you just wanted to avoid due to its size which is usually true for most fandoms.

Hibari (who I actually liked), the guy who looked like he was from Black Butler, and Gokudera... as is typical of fandoms of kind of douchey characters... a lot of the fans were also douchey and probably insist that the characters who were nice were too boring because they werent assholes.

I disagree with you that Tsuna sucked, he did largely stay the same but he was fun and funny. I enjoyed his rapport with the most of the cast and even though he had his typical Shonen protag vibe... like I just didnt expect him to NOT be that. He filled the roll he was made for. Gokudera was the loud jag that bitched about everything, Yamamoto was the clueless powerhouse that just was cool with all the crazy shit happening around him, Hibari... had a deranged love for his school for some reason, Tsuna was the power of friendship good boy who did his best even though he was a fucking idiot...

You were not wrong or dumb for liking Tsuna he was a sweet, idiot boy with the power of frienship! Dont feel influenced by the shittiest parts of fandom just because Tsuna wasnt MEGA deep. He doesnt need to be, he was a fine protag in a shonen series that was largely there just for fun. There was mafia babies, there was a bitch who kept poisoning her brother, a guy who couldnt function unless he saw his boys, an infant who shot himself with a bazooka when he was upset, a little baby that didnt have ears and you think its just a stylistic choice until theres a story involving her bad eyesight in which they get her glasses but she cant wear them because she doesnt have ears! ...

It was never that deep.

Tsuna didnt have to be anything more than he was to carry the series. People need everything to be like top tier and mega nuanced and shit... and its so boring... Just have fun with a series...

Like you dont expect Hocus Pocus to be that deep... the characters have a pretty predictable not that EXTREME change throughout but no one cares because its a fun movie. Do I wanna watch Citizen Kane? Or do I wanna watch Hocus Pocus for the millionth time?

FUCKIN HOCUS POCUS. Citizen Kane is fucking boring.. I wanna have fun.

Thats all Im saying sometimes a series is Hocus Pocus... you know what I mean?

ok you're probably done with lore takes, but I really hate like the romantic ship between c!charlie and cquackity

my biggest problem with the ship how annoying it is that as soon as a close and personal relationship with clear benefits becomes a big deal it always gets shipped, even if there's no actual romantic tension between the characters. Is it not enough for characters to just be close and important to each other without being in "love"? Please???

I miss when the fandom was so hesitant to ship any characters that even Canon relationships were tip toed around. it was so nice existing in a fandom where platonic and family dynamics were more important than romantic ones.

also, I don't particularly care for the father/son one either, mainly because their dynamic just doesn't really fit that either. it's okay for characters to have a mutually beneficial relationship without it being part of an established troupe dynamic!

OK SO. lemme like. first explain the age range bc well. no one is sure of his age but the official kof 2001 site says 16-18. he um. this guy has been thru a TON. im like gonna try n keep it kinda vague w his past and stuff bc his story line. wahh. very sad v emotional etc and i dont wanna overspoil. BUT. i will begin w nice little trivia things that are not upsetting <3 his fave food is beef jerky and he dislikes sweets! he rly doesnt like fighting in the kof tournaments (for good reason </3) hes got epic fire powers and hates sports!

THE ESSENTIAL K' (quick rundown on personality!)- hes a man of VERY few words and is very like solemn. he is the embodiment of 😐 and when u see him smile its like rare. he like rly struggles w social situations and a lot of his friends seem to have latched onto him instead of the other way around. hes like just. not super polite but he does care about his friends he just like?? isnt great at showing it. he is VERY jotaro kujo part 3 adjacent. fave fun fact about him is the end of i believe?? kof 99??? or maybe kof 2000. unsure. but maxima calls him dash-man. i think its fun <3 maxima is like his bestie because of circumstances (k' is like. very lore full and i dont wanna get TOO heavily into it for spoilers n stuff <3) and i just! i think its very swagtacular how theyre friends and found family. he like does have a kinda big found family w Whip and Kula Diamond (his sister figures) as well as Maxima! SPEAKING OF. quick blorbo image break before i kinda go a TINY bit into his past.

OK. now i like. wanna um. sure share info w u. so K' is the protagonist of the NESTS saga (which takes place over king of fighters 99-2001 in terms of game plot!) hes (kinda, youll see later) made to be a clone of Kyo (who was the previous protagonist) and like this causes a lot of problems bc he HATES being compared to him or fighting w him or even being involved in this tournament in general. but like his past is summed up kinda quickly as he was a normal kid and him and his sister Whip got kidnapped by this like. SUPER bad crime organization named NESTS and he got injected w Kyo's DNA and kinda had the killua hxh treatment of raised to be a weapon since he was a child. i say hes KIND OF a clone bc thats what he believes due to brainwashing. hes basically (along w Maxima) forced to join the KOF tournaments bc NESTS has control of him in a way. hes um. been thru a lot. hes my little bestie but like oh my god. he suffers constantly, but like, thru out the games he kinda like gets closer w both Maxima and Whip, and goes from finding Kula to be an annoying kid to someone he does genuinely care about and consider his best friend.

hey why does everybody dislike that little blonde boy from season two of bb (i did not watch season two <3) what did he do he's a baby :(...

that’s alois ! its not so much disliking him as it is disliking how he was handeled its 7am so im gonna be brief bc his um story is triggering for me bc of how yana did it

seasons two plot follows ciel after losing his memories (where have we heard that before cough tokyo ghoul re) anyways sebastian meets up with claude and alois, the newest butler human duo, and i should also say season two is not canon and was made for money as these characters donot exist in the manga and this seasons end also dramatically differs from the still ongoing story of bb (ciel becomes a demon in this ending and sebastian has to be his butler for eternity) anyways the season revolves around ciel and alois trying to ine up each other using their butlers yadda yadda but alois and claude dont function properly, sebastian and ciel have a understanding and a decent friendship but claude does not like nor respect alois at all, and this makes alois act out for attention, including harming people, putting himself in danger on purpose, and generally being annoying to people

but this is also connected to his trauma, as he was a trafficking victim and as a result is hyper sexual, but yana toboso obviously didn’t read into what hyper sexuality is and just wanted an excuse to make a sexual kid and it sucks bc this type of trauma response is rarely talked about and even less talked about in a good way. alois acts flirtatious, dresses more scantily and try’s to act older than he is as a means of coping and trying to regain control of his sexuality (despite being traumatized) but the way he’s written is done terribly and doesn’t show that his actions are hurting himself, as claude recognizes this and either feeds into it, or ignores him and this causes him to act out more, in one scene alois gets harmed and is begging for help and says “don’t leave me alone, don’t discard me” and actually starts crying but claude ignores him and it just harshly shows how different claude and alois are compared to sebastian and ciel, alois, underneath his trauma response just wants to be cared for, and doesn’t know how to get that without sexualizing himself / hurting himself to make others look his way bc of how badly he was treated when he was younger

nobody with a brain really likes talking about season two bc of its ending but mostly bc of how alois is handled which can be extremely triggering to csa victims and its :/ bc he couldve been good commentary on that kind of trauma response but unfortunately he was created by a freak that doesn’t actually care about csa victims and sees them as a fetish, i personally like alois but only in the remade way in my head that treats him as a actual person that eventually gets help and recovers from what happens to him but otherwise i completely skip season two and tell others to do the same

unlike the main story with ciel and sebastian it’s nearly impossible to just skip gross parts for the plot in season two bc a majority of the scenes are or atleast hint to alois past / have alois acting out for attention
