'It was wonderful to get the Good Omens family back together'

There were plenty of miracles, mysteries and mayhem when Good Omens returned to the small screen for a second season.

The PrimeVideo series, which was originally based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's best-selling novel, is heading beyond the source material this season.

The six-part series highlights the ineffable friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare-book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley.

And while the duo put a stop to the apocalypse last time, there are the sparks of a new mystery that will take viewers from before The Beginning, to biblical times to grave robbing in Victorian Edinburgh; the Blitz of 1940s England to the modern day.

The cast includes David Tennant and Michael Sheen as Crowley and Aziraphale, Jon Hamm, Maggie Service, Nina Sosanya, Miranda Richardson, Shelley Conn, and Derek Jacobi also star in the series.

And Michael Sheen told how the Good Omens "world has grown" with season two - and opened up about his first day back at Aziraphale's bookshop.

In an interview conducted before the SAG strike, he said, "It was lovely to be back in the bookshop after having seen it burnt down the ground.

"Clearly I had managed to save a few books! Actually, it was extraordinary - your brain does a double take - my desk, the cash machine, the record player - everything is all so familiar even though it is a totally different location.

But we have expanded - there is much more of the world of Soho here including Aziraphale's favourite the magic shop and my favourite the pub - our world has grown."

The actor also praised Neil Gaiman's writing, noting how there's "something about the way Neil sees the mundane that is extraordinary."

He said, "His writing has such a breadth of reference and yet is so accessible and entertaining even when taking on big epic or philosophical issues.

There's something about the way Neil sees the mundane that is extraordinary. When things filter through his imagination they emerge in an entirely unique way and yet it feels like it's always been there.

Add in the sprinkling of the imagination of Terry Pratchett and cocktail has been created - utterly familiar."

Producer Sarah-Kate Fenelon told Chic how the second season of Good Omens is "building on the universe" - and how they had been "sowing the seeds of a second season without anybody knowing" last season. "

She said, "I work with Neil Gaiman and know in part that Gabriel, who is played by Jon Hamm, his character is not in the book of Good Omens - but it was included in the first season. We were sowing the seed of a second season without anybody knowing.

"That character was written by Neil and Terry as a potential second book. They never got to write it, but now we're able to tell Gabriel's story. It's kind of a lovely evolution, where we're just expanding the universe.

"A lot of locations on the set are locations from season one. We've also been able to explore new shops, like we've got the record shop and we've got The Dirty Donkey pub, which we go into - it was in season one, but we never got to go into it.

"Season two is just building on the universe."

The Wicklow native added that it was "wonderful to get the Good Omens family back together" for a second season.

She said, "We were lucky that a lot of our crew and creative talent were able to come back for a second season. But also, we had our cast return. Miranda Richardson plays a totally different character this season and we have a new Beelzebub.

"And then obviously, we've got Maggie and Nina playing themselves, Maggie and Nina, as written by Neil. It was wonderful to get the Good Omens family back together again."

Noel Corbally, who works as an associate producer on the series, recalled how they marked a special anniversary of the first season's release while prepping for season two.

The Irishman said, "We went for dinner that night to relive the celebration, happy to be back again.

"Even now, it's been more than a year since we wrapped and to be able to come back into the studio that's just been frozen in time with everything wrapped up — we had a week to turn it back to life, have it be a live street again.

"It's been a week. But it's been amazing. We had our original lighting team come back, our original art department — and they've just done a fantastic job."

And while there are plenty of easter eggs for fans to spot throughout the six episodes, the pair shared their favourites.

Noel shared, "I think that my favourite easter egg is actually in the record shop. It's a song that we play in the background. It's so subtle, but it's from the musical Happy As A Sandbag.

"Maggie's character Maggie runs the record shop, which was owned by her grandfather in the story. But the musical, Happy As A Sandbag, Maggie Service the actress - her mother and father met on the musical and fell in love. Having that was an homage to them for bringing us Maggie."

Sarah-Kate said, "I quite like the easter eggs in the title sequence. If you look really closely, there is a Gabriel or Jim in every shot, which people tend not to notice. It's like Where's Wally?"

Rob Wilkins, who manages Terry Pratchett's estate and serves as narrative EP, told how he was "elated" for the second season to be out — and about moving beyond the book's source material.

He explained, "There were lots of nerves, because there is no source material. There's no book. I went through the whole of season one with the mantra that we've got a beginning, a middle and an end.

"And at the end of season one, which was the only season at the time, I felt very relaxed - we're all grounded through Terry and Neil's words, and that's fine. We know where we're going, we've got the novel to refer to.

"And so with season two, of course there's going to be nerves — there's no source material.

"But Neil is 50% of the creative team that brought you Good Omens, so in him we trust. And we genuinely do, from the bottom of my heart - of course we do.

"There's excitement about what Neil is going to bring from the page and from the page to the screen, but trepidation as well — I'm a fan as much as anybody else, I want to know where the stories are going."

Rob added that some of his own favourite easter eggs within the second season include a nod to Terry in The Dirty Donkey pub - as well as a special sight in the bookshop.

He said, "I love the fact that in the bookshop, Teny's hat and scarf are just hanging there. Terry, as a huge patron of bookshops around the world, he just left his hat and scarf in there and moved on one day and left them behind.

"That's a lovely one for me, as well - it means more to me, I think, than anything else."

Rob opened up about the success of the first season - and why it was something that he didn't necessarily expect.

He continued, "There's the Terry Pratchett fandom, there's the Neil Gaiman fandom and push them together and there's a big crossover. But what we created with season one, we created Good Omens fandom from the show.

"People came to Neil's work and Terry's work through the show. It created something entirely individual of its own making, and that freaked me out because I didn't see that one coming.

"I didn't see that as a thing. I thought the fans would be rooted in Terry or Neil. I didn't realise that the ineffable husbands in all of that - I love David and Michael, but I didn't realise the love people would have for them as our demon and our angel.

"I shouldn't be surprised. It's just my admiration for them as actors and for what they do, and for people getting it I think that that's the thing that's meant a lot to me, that people have understood what we tried to do."

Costume designer Kate Carin told how having the opportunity to join Good Omens' second season was a "gift" - and opened up about why it was impossible to pick a favourite scene.

She explained, "When you see the whole show - you think, when you're watching episode one, you're like, 'oh my god, that's the best'. But then you watch something in episode two and it's like, 'that's awesome!'

"I would say that I'm a disciple of the show now. I didn't know the book when I was approached about the job. I'd obviously heard of it, and I'd seen season one — as a punter, I watched it.

"To get the opportunity to come and work on season two, it's a gift for a costume designer.

"You do fantasy, you do period, you do contemporary and all of the wavy lines in- between - you're given a lot of rope to play with."

The character of Shax, played by Miranda Richardson, was a "really fun character to design for" - as Kate told how plenty of ideas jumped to mind after reading the description.

She said, "When Neil writes on the page that you have a 50s inspired female demon, that gives you a lot of scope to play with. "

And when I started drawing her, I actually had to stop myself because I kept coming up with ideas."

And with the series jampacked with magical moments and settings, set decorator Bronwyn Franklin told how there was one particular shop that has a "certain magic'!

She said, "I actually think the magic shop is my favourite shop. The bookshop used to be, but now that l've done it twice - it's still beautiful. It is Aziraphale's home. It feels more magical because Aziraphale lives there, and there's the whole angelic side.

"But this one, it really has a certain magic. From a set decorator's point of view, it's a joy. Will Godstone, he gets to sit there and he's got his little cash register and if he's got no customers, he can sit there and have a little cup of tea.

"You just have to feel that person, live that person and think that it's yours. I always come into a space like this and think, 'how would I like to be?' Because if it makes me happy, it'll make the cast member happy, it'll make the viewers happy."

Michael Ralph, who is the series' production designer, told how while it's impossible to pick a favourite set, the bookshop is "one that will resonate most'.'

Aziraphale's bookshop contains more than 7,000 real books and Michael noted that it was important for the setting to feel real, not just for the audiences at home but for the cast and crew.

He said, "There's not a fake book in here. Couldn't do that. In a way, if you look at any bookshelf - I spent almost a day just moving books around, to make the bookshelves look like they're real. They could be flat dressed, and then they're not real. But this is real, when they're just moved around a little bit; or people have pulled them out and put them in incorrectly.. .that's what's real about a bookshop."

My Chemical Romance (commonly abbreviated to MCR or My Chem) is an American rock band from Newark, New Jersey. The band's current lineup consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way. They are considered one of the most influential rock groups of the 2000s and a major act in the pop-punk and emo genres, despite the band rejecting the latter label.

Founded in September 2001 by Gerard, Mikey, Toro, and drummer Matt Pelissier (and later joined by Iero), the band signed with Eyeball Records and released their debut album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, in 2002. They signed with Reprise Records the next year and released their major-label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004. Shortly after the album's release, Pelissier was replaced by Bob Bryar. The album was a commercial success, attaining platinum status over a year later.

The success of the band's previous albums was eclipsed by that of their 2006 rock opera concept album, The Black Parade. A major commercial success, its lead single "Welcome to the Black Parade" topped the UK singles chart. The album solidified the band's following, despite negative coverage in the Daily Mail generating controversy. The band's fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, was released in 2010. Bryar departed the band prior to the release of the album, and in 2012, they added touring keyboardist James Dewees. In 2012 and 2013, the band released a series of singles they had recorded in 2009 under the collective title Conventional Weapons. My Chemical Romance announced its breakup on March 22, 2013. In 2014, a greatest hits album titled May Death Never Stop You was released and a tenth-anniversary reissue of The Black Parade was released in 2016.

On October 31, 2019, the band announced a reunion show, which took place in Los Angeles on December 20, 2019. In January 2020, they announced additional shows and a Reunion Tour, which commenced in 2022 after a two-year postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic and concluded in early 2023.

Good Omens: Lockdown and Crowley not mentioning his living situation in S2*

*till S2E6 when he asks if he can have his apartment back bc he's bored of living in his car but Aziraphale doesn’t hear bc mentally he’s in Alpha Centauri.

Having read the 'Crowley doesn't tell him' Neil Gaiman ask close to when I first listened to Lockdown (I lived under a rock until recently), my initial thought was HAS HE BEEN LIVING IN HIS CAR FOR YEARS?! but I think he was still in his apartment in 2020:

as far as Hell knows, Crowley just had a pool party in holy water (the holiest) so the higher-ups are probably willing to give him some space (plus Beelzebub is busy going on pub dates w Gabriel)

while there should be ~8 months between the end of Season 1 events (The Very First Day of the Rest of Their Lives on Sunday, Aug 25, 2019) and the Lockdown phonecall (on or near the 30 year anniversary on May 1, 2020), I can't imagine that's a very long time for Hell, especially if you're understaffed and busy dealing with fallout from Almostgeddon / going on pub dates

Shax dropping off mail and asking about the boiler seems like something one does in the first few months of living somewhere, not ~3 years in (if S2 is in 2023)

That said, I think the phone call underlines why Crowley never directly tells Aziraphale that he is living in the Bentley in S2, and it's just a great conversation (all hail Gaiman) sooo I wrote about it:

***Note: This post analyzes the Lockdown phonecall from Crowley's perspective only. Our heroine is feeling quite emotionally vulnerable at this point in time so things are going to hit him harder than they normally would.

I do not think Aziraphale meant to cause him pain (!!) but Crowley can't see that yet and I've written this post in a way that reflects that missing insight. (I explain in more detail in this reblog if you are interested) I am working on a companion post for Aziraphale's side of this conversation and how I think it affects his behavior in S2 because if we know anything about these two, it's that their exactlys are different exactlys.***

Crowley’s habit of sleeping to skip time like an RPG character by a campfire amuses me to no end, but in this context it feels heavy. Crowley already worries about losing time with what he loves and he probably hoped things would be different between him and Aziraphale after the events of S1. But things don’t change much. Then lockdowns start, and Crowley is trapped in his apartment alone, transcendentally bored, and unable to make his brain shut up. Sleeping a month away starts to sound less awful.

But Crowley hasn’t given up yet; he’s still awake when Aziraphale calls, and he’s even giving it two more days. Was he waiting for Aziraphale to call? Is it even possible not to at least kind of wait for someone’s call when you are cut off from everything and the caller has been your only friend and crush for millennia?

Aziraphale asks why Crowley isn't "out and about" tempting people or setting a bad example and he responds:

C: Everyone's so miserable and cooped up right now anyway, and I just… well… don't have the heart for it. A: *glowing audibly* I'm not miserable~ C: Really?

Crowley sounds genuinely surprised at Aziraphale's happiness and quickly assumes it's because the angel has been around people. He's so lonely/depressed/in his own head that he hadn't even considered someone enjoying being 'cooped up'. *sob*

Aziraphale goes No actually I put the closed sign up in the window and I'm having the Time of My Life, never had so few customers, not in 200 years!, etc. Although, he says:

A: …There were a few young lads a couple of nights ago who broke in through the back and tried to steal the cashbox! But they soon saw the error of their ways~ C: *clearly amused* Did you smite them with your wroth? A: Well I certainly gave them a good talking to, and I sent each of them home with cake~ C: *annoyed, swooning* Cake? A: Quite a lot of cake, actually. C: *physically ill from having such a giant crush on this dumbass baker/security guard* eeeekkkgghhh I'm gonna regret asking but.. ...rrgh.. *30 seconds of Aziraphale joyfully describing his baking while Crowley probably tries very hard not to imagine the angel eating each item in sensual slow motion* I stg you can hear him struggling in the background once or twice

A: …And once I've baked them, I have to eat them all myself, which was why I was so delighted— C: To send your burglars home laden with baked goods, yes, nnyeaayeah I follow…

Crowley interrupts, finishing Aziraphale's sentence in his nervous hurry to say the next bit:

C: *loud inhale* You know, I could.. hunker down at your place. … Slither over and watch you eat cake. I could bring a bottle--a case of… something… drinkable…?

He's trying to sound so casual about it but this is someone who was rejected/abandoned by actual literal God after asking what he thought were welcome, uncontroversial questions. Asking makes him vulnerable. He's supposed to be the rescuer, not a demon in distress. He does not feel casual about asking.

Crowley knows it's unlikely but he's so miserable and desperate for company that he can't help but ask, just in case. Even the smallest chance of spending time trapped indoors with Aziraphale—with nothing to do but drink, watch him eat, and talk about things they'd normally avoid—is too tempting.

A: *panicking* Oh I— I— I— I— I'm afraid that would be Breaking All The Rules! *nervous breathing* Out of the question! I'll see you… when this is over. C: Right. gnnehh. I'm setting the alarm clock for July. Good night, angel. *dial tone*

And just like that, Crowley doesn't need two days to decide. The depression nap doubles in length. He doesn't hear how badly Aziraphale wants to say yes behind the fear, or maybe he does and it hurts worse because why isn't Crowley enough for him? You can almost hear the spiralling:

SHOCKING, asking made it worse. It always does doesn’t it? Why even bother? you just embarrass yourself.. SLITHER over? why did I say that *grumble grumble* of COURSE His Holy Holiness, your only friend in the universe, would rather eat cake by himself while everything goes to shit than ~deign~ to have you in his presence. "AsK aND yE sHaLl ReCeIvE" bugger this for a lark im going to bed

(a bit dramatic but we've all been there)

I imagine sleep doesn't come right away. Maybe his thoughts drift to when he sat beside the angel at a dark Tadfield bus stop after a rather eventful Saturday. Crowley must've felt a tiny bit hopeful when he invited Aziraphale to stay with him: Heaven had withdrawn its favor and the bookshop was gone; Aziraphale was like him now. Didn't that mean things would change?

"I don't think my side would like that." Apparently not.

In the end, Aziraphale did ride the bus back to Crowley's apartment and stayed till the next morning when he caught a cab, but only to sell the illusion. Crowley understood that as far as sides went, the angel was still on Heaven's, even if Heaven wasn't on his.

And now this: the entire world is shut down; there is nothing for Aziraphale to do but stay in and read and bake in his magically reconstituted bookshop and he still won't invite Crowley in. Burglars and un-fallen angels only—nobody who asks questions.

So... of course Crowley doesn't tell Aziraphale when he loses his apartment. He already knows what answer he would get; the angel has told him so many times. Aziraphale is a company man first, a companion to one very sad owl when convenient.

If Crowley works up the courage to say 'please take me in, I have nowhere else to go' and Aziraphale goes 'sorry, no, far too political, but I WILL risk being erased from the Book of Life to protect this nude amnesiac former coworker who always hated me,' it's going to be too much. You can't sleep long enough for that type of hurt to go away. Better not to say anything.

"Then nothing has to change, does it?"

"Angel do I look good?" Harry asks you as he props his phone on the stand Jackson setup before he went to the studio.

"You always do Baby" You chuckled from the loveseat watching your husband fix his graying hair for millionth time.

It's been a long time since Harry and band stopped performing. The last album they released was almost five years ago and today was band's 25th birthday. So, Harry's management asked him to do a live stream.

He obviously didn't how amything worked considering the old man he was which you always told he wasn't seeing as people your age were still having kids while yours were about to go to college.

He felt old.

He noticed the whole time he was live as multiple comments rolled in. He thought tiktok was fun, Sophie even got him to make some with him which he thought was silly but again very fun.

"Hi I'm Harry" He introduced himself as if everyone already didn't know who he was. You shook your head amused.

"Oh there are so many people. How do I talk to them? Is it like face time?" He asked you but you were just as confused.

"I think you read the comments and reply to them babe" You guessed as you saw multiple people asking different questions and some sending weird emojis.

"Oh" He read the comments and laughed, "They want to see you Angel" He said and pulled you from the loveseat to beside him and wrapped his arms around your frame.

"Hi" You said laughing.

"As you all know it's my band's 25th anniversary so I decided to this live thingy my kids taught me the other day. I can't perform anymore any of us can't especially Mitch and his old man bones" he said teasingly knowing his best friend will see this.

"My kids are so smart cause if it was upto me I would've never been able to do this" He said as he read people finding it funny and sweet that he didn't know how to use tiktok.

As if on queue Sophie walked into the living room typing away on her phone.

"Sweety come here and say hi. I'm live on tiktok" Harry said eagerly. Sophie laughed and slid beside her dad putting her head on his shoulder.

"Do you guys know she got into Harvard? All by herself." Harry said proudly, "I don't even know where she got it from none of us are smart"

"Hey, I'm smarter than you" You said slapping his chest.

"I'm dumb as fuck Angel, Evie is smarter than me" He said laughing which turned into a cackle when Evie meowed from her bed half asleep across the room.

Harry decided to read some more comments and you decided to get onto preparing lunch. Sophie sat on the sofa letting her dad do her thing but also be there if he needed something.

"Hey, sweetie what does b and 4 means?" Harry asked quizzical to his daughter.

"It means before dad, like b and four" She explained, Harry's face morphed into a 'ohh' expression.

"That's smart" He said nodding his head. He read some more comments when someone put sunglasses on his face.

"Someone put sunglasses on me" He laughed and posed as if he was wearing real sunglasses, "This is fun"

He saw someone say 'brb gotta cry' and he felt bad, "I don't know who brb is but please don't cry" He said his lips turning into a soft frown.

Sophie laughed from her seat and explained to her dad that it didn't mean someone was literally crying which made him feel embarrassed flushing his face a bit.

Harry was having fun with this new technology nonetheless and Sophie was having fun watching her dad experience new things. She knew this will be added to the plathora of Harry Styles compilations there are on YouTube (which he very much enjoys watching).

She was lost in thought of maybe teching him how to use instagram and maybe doing a live there also when he spoke up again.

"Why are so many people here calling me dilf? what's a dilf?" He asked confused and Sophie decided that she is not letting him do live again.

Neuvillette is a truly beautiful man, he is the pinnacle of elegance and grace without being fragile. But no matter how many times you tell him that, he will always insist you are the beautiful one between you both. Especially right now; with your head resting on his chest as you drifted between a peaceful nap and savouring the way Neuvillette held you as you lay curled up in his lap. One of his arms wrapped snugly around your waist, the other busy scratching away at paperwork with his favourite quill. (A simple white feather quill with a blue tip and smooth silver body, you got it for him as an anniversary present and he will not use any other quill if he can manage it.)

The weight of your body pressed against his is always a welcome presence. It’s grounding in a way, when the stress and exhaustion that come with his work start to weigh on him he can simply focus on you. He can set down his quill and hold you to his chest, loosing himself in your ever comforting scent for just a moment.

The countdown has begun!

In just six months, we'll be celebrating another run of the I Will Remember You Marathon, an annual fanfiction marathon devoted to the relationship between Buffy and Angel.

And this year is extra special — it’s the marathon’s 20th anniversary!

Throughout November, we publish a new story every day in honor of the Angel episode “I Will Remember You,” which originally aired on November 23, 1999.

The marathon got its start in 2004 when it was created by Leni. The tradition has been kept alive since then by dedicated Buffy/Angel fans, including Chrislee, Dark Star, and Angelus2Hot. In 2023, the event was revamped by a group of authors and fandom artists and achieved its biggest turnout in more than a decade!

In addition to fics, the revamped marathon also welcomes artworks including fanart, fanvids, edits, and GIFs.

What kind of stories are accepted?

Summary: During times like these; it’s hard for you to think about how much your life has changed in the past year… But when someone from one of your precious relationships makes an unexpected appearance, it leads to an important conversation that you and Joe had been avoiding for far too long.

It’s crazy how in just one year, your life can changed in ways that is hard to explain without sounding like you’re going insane… It’s hard to recognize yourself because you’ve changed so much, but changing your live and yourself for the better is never a bad thing.

One year ago on Super Bowl Sunday you and Harrison Bryant ,your boyfriend at the time, were attending a small party along with some of the football players on the Cleveland Browns team and their partners to watch the biggest football game of the year between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals… Despite the Bengals football team and Browns football team representing the same state in the NFL, majority of the Browns football players were rooting for the Rams football team to win the Super Bowl 56.

After a year of experiencing betrayal and heartbreak because of your ex-boyfriend and learning how to love yourself again with the help of your family, best friends, and your therapist… Here you are in the Kimpton Hotel Suite in Phoenix, Arizona getting ready alongside Joe Burrow, your boyfriend, for Michael Rubin's 2023 Fanatics Super Bowl Party hours before Super Bowl 57.

It’s crazy when you think about how last year you were watching your future boyfriend play in the most important football game of his life while sitting next to your future ex-boyfriend and his teammates.

Today at the Super Bowl Party, you and Joe will be making a public appearance for the first time as a couple since the two of you started dating about 5 months ago… For the past few months the two of you have kept your relationship a secret from football fans; but now since it’s the end of the football season, Joe and you felt it is the best time now to publicly reveal your relationship before it got exposed by football fans.

As you were getting ready for the Super Bowl Party in the hotel suite’s bathroom, there was a bubble of anxiety forming in your chest that you were trying very hard to ignore… Because as much as you were excited to go to the party with Joe, you were very nervous about making the first public appearance as a couple.

While your previous relationship was with a football player, that relationship was very private to the point where Cleveland Browns fans didn’t know about the relationship and some Cleveland Browns football players didn’t know that you were Harrison’s girlfriend when the two of you would go to an event together… Harrison always claimed that he wanted to keep your relationship private or else the public media would care about his relationship more than his football career; while your friends said that was an excuse, you believed his reasons to keep the relationship private.

Now in your current relationship with Joe, it’s easy for you to understand what being in a private relationship means because while Joe wants to keep his life outside of football private, he wants you to be involved in his public life as much as you can by inviting you to sit with his parents and friends at football games and now going to public events together.

Once you were finished getting ready, you examined your outfit in the full length mirror in the bathroom. The simple short white dress that Joe had bought you as a 1 month anniversary looked stunning on you and matched the white laced-up sandals as the knitted cardigan that was gifted to you by your grandmother gave your outfit some color and to give you comfort due to the unpredictable weather of Phoenix, Arizona.

Suddenly the bathroom door is opening which causes you to turn around. “Hey Angel are you-“ Joe pauses his sentence as he looks up and down at you, examining your outfit choice. The look on his face is a face you’ve never before which makes you confused.

“Is this dress good to wear at the event?!” you ask. “I know the dress-code is casual attire and I think this outfit is casual, I have other outfits if this is bad.”

“No! This isn’t a bad outfit at all… You look gorgeous!” Joe exclaims as he walks into the bathroom towards you. “I just love this dress on you so much… and what makes the dress even better is that I bought it for you.”

You felt your cheeks get hot as you hid you face in your hands with causes Joe to softly sighed as he moves your hands away from your face and placed his hands on your cheeks, guiding your face to look up at him as he gives you smiles that causes you to blush more.

“You know I love to see you blush because of me Angel.” Joe whispers, as he rubs your cheeks with his thumbs. “There’s no reason to be so nervous.”

“I know.” you whisper.

Joe raises an eyebrow, “You know I’m not just talking about the compliments I gave your outfit right?” he asks, “There’s no reason for you to be so nervous about the Super Bowl party.”

“I know.” you whisper again. “I just can’t help feeling so nervous because this is the first time we’re going to a public event together as a couple.”

“I know and I understand that.” Joe says. “But don’t let your anxiety ruin today for you. You’ll be by my side the entire time and we’ll be around people that you know. We won’t be at the event for long and then we can come back to our hotel suite and relax before the football game. This will be a fun day for us.”

It make you smile to see how much Joe cared about you and how much he wants to take care of you… It’s still very early in your relationship so you haven’t told him about your past relationship and the reasons for your anxiety, but Joe has never pressured you to talk about it and he makes it clear that he’ll be ready to listen when you are ready to talk about your past.

There was a part of you that has been anxious since the beginning of your relationship with Joe that once he found out that you previous relationship was with a football players, he would think differently of you and would shame you for going from one football player to another football player within a few months.

But there was the other part of you that knew once you would open up to Joe about your previous relationship with Harrison, he wouldn’t think differently of you or shame you for moving on from a relationship that was becoming toxic and for allowing your mutual friends to set the two of you up together because the friends knew you and Joe would be so good for each other.

Joe smiles back at you as he leans down to give you a quick kiss on the lips before he takes his hands off your cheeks to pull you into a hug… For the first time since you woke up this morning, you felt that anxious bubble in your chest deflate because of the comforting words and actions from Joe that make you feel safe.

There’s a reason why Michael Rubin's Super Bowl parties are the most popular Super Bowl parties for people to attend every year. You don’t think you’ve ever seen a big crowd of people like this before in your life… It didn’t take long for the anxious bubble to form again in your chest as you held a tight grip on Joe’s hands as he’s leading the two of you through the crowd to try reach where he knew some close friends would be at.

It was difficult at times to make your way through the crowd, but once you and Joe started to see people that you recognized in an area that wasn’t too crowded… When the two of you arrived in the area and saw all of Joe’s good friends in the NFL, you were able to feel more comfortable within your surroundings of not being around strangers.

While Joe and the other football players started making small conversations amongst each other that you couldn’t barely hear because of the loud music from the DJ booth. You start to look around the area to see if you could recognize anyone, but you realized that was a mistake when you made eye contact with someone you never thought you’ll see again.

There he was your Harrison Bryant with his arm wrapped around the waist of a girl that you recognized to be who you caught him cheating on you with… He just smiled as waved at you before turning his attention back to the conversation with his girl and a Cleveland Browns football player that you recognized.

You immediately felt sick in your stomach; for many months you’ve tried to avoid any sight of him whether it was on social media or at football games but here he was at a Super Bowl Party… All you could do was stand next to your boyfriend while trying not to have a panic breakdown in front of everyone around you.

This was the first time you had seen Harrison since the night you caught him cheating on you in your own apartment… All the memories of the things he had said about you and your relationship from the night made you feel like you were going to vomit.

“Are you okay?!” Joe loudly whispered, as his voice pulled you out of your thoughts. Joe had noticed you staring off into the distance for a few minutes, at first he thought that you recognized someone but when your face started going pale and your grip on his hand got tighter. Joe knew that something was wrong.

When you turned you head towards Joe and noticed the concern on his face, all you could do was nod your head and pretend that everything was fine… Even thought the two of you have only been dating for a few months Joe knew that you weren’t telling the truth but, he didn’t want to pressure you to talk about it now.

For the rest of the time while the two of you were at Michael Rubin's 2023 Fanatics Super Bowl Party, you didn’t feel like yourself at all… There was a huge anxious bubble in your chest, you felt so sick to your stomach to the point where you wanted to run off to a private area just to vomit, and you just wanted to go back to the hotel room to cry of how your ex-boyfriend still had so much control over your emotions even if he didn’t say any words to you.

Thankfully, Joe kept his eye on you because he could tell that something must’ve triggered your anxiety and he was slowly wrapping up the loose ends of the conversations with the other football players so that the two of you can leave the party and go back to the privacy of the hotel suit. But just as the conversations were ending, you heard a voice you thought that you would never have to heard again.

“Joe Burrow! It’s good to see you!” your ex-boyfriend yells as he’s walking forward towards the both of you.

“Oh Hey…” Joe slowly says, as he’s not able to recognize the man that is walking his way and you finally noticed that the girl was no longer by his side.

“I’m Harrison Bryant!, Tight End for the Cleveland Browns.” he says proudly. “Me and you have played each other on the football field a few times and I thought now would be the best time to say hello.”

Joe nods his head, not knowing what to say. You just decided to keep quiet. You knew Joe doesn’t know about the history between you and Harrison but you didn’t know if Harrison knew that Joe doesn’t know.

“And look who you have right beside you…” Harrison says, looking directly at you which has Joe confused. “Hello Y/N! It’s good to see you again!”

All you could do was give a fake soft smile as you looked at Harrison who had a smirk on his face before you turned to look and see the confusion on Joe’s face as the grip Joe had on your waist got tighter.

“Hi Harrison.” you bitterly replied.

“How do the two of you know each other?!” Joe asked, looking back and forth between you and Harrison.

Since the three of you have lived in Ohio the past few years, Joe thought you knew Harrison because of friends… but from the tension that could be seen between Harrison and you, Joe knew that the reason the two of you knew each other was complicated.

You didn’t want to lie to Joe, especially in front of Harrison knowing that he would expose the truth… but you didn’t want to give your ex-boyfriend the power of exposing a secret that you’ve been keeping from Joe.

“Harrison is my ex-boyfriend.” you confess. You watch the smirk of Harrison’s face grow bigger as Joe looked more confused than ever before. In that moment, you just wanted to kick Harrison in the crotch and runaway with Joe to a private area to tell the whole truth.

“I’m very surprised to see that you’re dating another football player. You should’ve seen the look on my face when people were telling me that my ex-girlfriend is here with the Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback.” Harrison says. “It’s crazy how things can change in a year. One year ago you were sitting next to me watching your future boyfriend lose in the Super Bowl.”

The grip that Joe had on your waist got tighter to the point where you knew that there would be bruise marks on the skin… You knew that Joe was getting angrier the more Harrison talked. While Joe could be a master of hiding his emotions, if people were paying attention to the conversation they would see his anger.

“Well… I’m sure one day the Cleveland Browns will make it to the Super Bowl.“ Joe states in an angry tone. “But I guess that past 52 years just weren’t the day.”

“Next year will definitely be the year for the Cleveland Browns, you can trust me on that.” Harrison says. “Anyways, I knew I wasn’t going crazy when I saw thought I saw you at the football game between Cleveland and Cincinnati a few weeks ago… I thought that you were at the game to support me but turns out you were at the game to support your new boy-toy.”

“After everything that happened between us… Why would you think that I would ever want to go to a football game and support you again?!” you asked.

“Because girls like you never forget their first love. No matter how the relationship ended.” Harrison answered. “You know I’ll always love you.”

You almost gasped because you couldn’t believe your ex-boyfriend has the nerve to say that he loves you despite the fact that one of the reasons your relationship ended was because you never felt loved by him throughout your entire relationship.

There was silence between the three of you. The only important thing that you knew that you needed to do was leave the party with Joe before a fight could start between him and Harrison… You force Joe to let go of the tight grip that he had on your waist and before he react, you grip his hand tight and started walking as you force Joe to follow behind you.

“Goodbye Harrison. It’s time for Joe and I to leave.” you exclaimed, as the two of you walk past him. You bump into Harrison’s shoulder and don’t look back as Harrison yells for you to say “Excuse Me”.

You knew that you could’ve and should’ve handled the situation better but, you weren’t expecting to see your ex-boyfriend at the party and you weren’t expecting Harrison to walk up and try to have a conversation.

All that you could hope and pray for now is that when you and Joe get back to the hotel suite, he is willing to listen to the reasons why you decided to keep your precious relationship a secret from him.

From the walk to the Uber, to the ride in the car back to the hotel, and to the elevator ride up to the hotel suite. Joe had not said a word to you, he just kept a tight grip on your hand as he kept his attention occupied on something other than you… It was until he let go of your hand as the two of you walked into the hotel suite when he spoke up.

“I’m going take a shower and then we need to talk.” he said, not looking at you as he walked towards the bathroom and then shut the door very loudly.

When Joe was in the bathroom, he felt like he could breathe again as he let go of the breathe he was holding in for so long… There were so many thoughts going through his head and it was overwhelming him to the point where he needed some alone time in the shower to think about everything that happened.

The feeling in Joe’s gut when Harrison walked up towards him should’ve been a warning sign that the conversation between the three of you wasn’t going to be pleasant… Joe wishes he would’ve trusted his gut and walked away with you to not give Harrison any attention because now the two of you have to deal with the consequences of what Harrison has said.

When Joe got into the hot shower, immediately the tension in his body was relieved and he could feel himself relaxing as he let the sound of water take over his mind from the overwhelming thoughts.

Joe has always been a very observing person especially when it came to you… From the moment the two of you met because of mutual friends, he knew that you had just gotten out of a relationship that your friends described to be unhealthy for you.

But, that didn’t stop Joe from catching feeling for you and confessing those feelings only a few months later and he promised you that he would never hurt you the way your ex-boyfriend hurt you (even though he didn’t know any details about your previous relationship).

Joe knew that one day the two of you would have to talk about your previous relationship due to your relationship anxiety because it’s slowly started to affect your relationship with Joe… He doesn’t know what happened between you and Harrison, but he knows that something happened that causes you to have so much anxiety when it comes to relationships.

As Joe is replaying the events of the day in his mind, he realizes that the reason you were so nervous before the two of you left to go to the Super Bowl party was because you were nervous that Harrison would see you with Joe… Joe couldn’t blame you for not wanting to see your ex-boyfriend at a public event, especially since the relationship didn’t end on good terms.

Joe decided to stop focusing on overthinking because he needed to calm himself down in the shower before the two of you had the long awaited discussion… Meanwhile you were walking around the hotel suite, trying not to have a panic attack as your mind is all over the place with overwhelming thoughts.

You knew that you should’ve told the truth to Joe about your previous relationship and your relationship anxiety before the two of you got into a relationship… It was something that your therapist suggested you to do but you never thought there was a right time to talk.

The two of you were still in the early stages of your relationship so it wasn’t like you had kept this a secret from Joe for years… but you knew that because of the things that happened your previous relationship, things in your future relationships would be affected. Your perspective of love and how you wanted to be treated in a romantic relationship had changed.

After pacing around the hotel suite for some time, you finally decided to lay down on the hotel bed to try and stop overthinking… but as you laid down on the bed, you hear the shower being turned off and then a few minutes later, you hear the bathroom door opened and footsteps walking into the hallway into the bedroom.

You watched as Joe walked to the dresser where the clothes were in and changes from just having a bathroom towel wrapped around his waist into a pair of black Nike sweatpants and a big t-shirt.

When Joe turns around he sees you laying on the bed in the simple white short dress that he loved and no sandals on watching every move he made… All he could do was give you a soft smile as he walked toward the bed to lay right next to you.

There was a moment of silent between the two of you as you’re facing each other while laying in the hotel bed together… Neither of you knew where to start the conversation. Your felt your heart beating fast against your chest, as you sat up from your spot on the bed.

“I think the best place to start the conversation is to tell you about my previous relationship with Harrison.” you said, as your attention is focus on Joe as he nods is head in agreement.

“So Harrison and I met because of mutual friends in Ohio and we started dating right before the 2021-2022 football season… Things were good in the beginning of our relationship but, as time went on I realized that the way Harrison loved me wasn’t the way I wanted to be loved. At times I felt like he was embarrassed to be in a relationship with me because he never wanted me to sit with the Cleveland Browns football players’ family and friends at football games and acted like I didn’t exist at events we would go too in front of other football players.” you said before taking a breathe.

Joe reached for your hand to give a comfort squeeze with a smile as he knew that this was hard for you to talk about. “Take all the time you need Angel.” he said.

“I just never felt loved by him and when I would bring this topic up to him, Harrison would say that I was being overdramatic and expecting too much from a guy who is private about his life.” you say.

“Someone being private about their life is different from someone being secretive about their life.” Joe stated. “I’m private about my life but I don’t act like you don’t exist in front of my family and friends.”

“Harrison claimed I was just trying to create issues over things that don’t matter… When I tried to break-up with him the first time, he told me that my reasons for wanting to break-up with him were not good enough and convinced me to stay in the relationship.” you confessed. “He did promise he would do better to love me the way that I wanted him to love me but, that was just an empty promise and I caught him in my old apartment, cheating on me just a few months later.”

Joe didn’t know what to say, he felt like nothing that he could say would comfort you in the right way… All he could do was squeeze your hand to let you know that he was listening to every word that you said.

“When I caught him cheating on me, I immediately confronted him about it and at first he tried to manipulate me that what I saw wasn’t what happened… But when he realized I wouldn’t falling for the excuses, he tried to make it seem like it was my fault that he cheated on me. He said that I set too high of an expectation for him on how I wanted him to love me. I wanted him to love me the way he promised.” you said. “So our relationship ended just a few weeks before we met, and when you confessed your feelings for me… I didn’t think that I was ready to be in a new relationship, but I took a chance because there is something different about you.”

“I’m glad that you took a chance on me.” Joe says. “And I hope that since the day we started dating, I proved to you that I will never be anything like Harrison and I’ll never make you feel unloved the way he did.”

You lean forward to wrap your arms around Joe’s neck as he wrapped his arms around your waist to pull you close to him in a hug… You couldn’t help but let a few tears roll down your face as you felt relieved for letting Joe know the truth about your previous relationship.

“I hope you understand that I want to keep our relationship private, but not in the way that Harrison kept your relationship a secret. There is a different between a private relationship and a secret relationship.” Joe stated. “I’m private about my personal life because I am protective of the people that I love and that includes you. I love you too much to allow you to get hurt my football fans.”

Your eyes are wide open as you sit back up on the bed and stare at him with a blank expression on your face, which causes him to have a confused look on his face as he tried to think about what he said ... Joe didn’t have the chance to ask questions before you spoke up.

“Say that last part again.” you demanded.

“I love you-“

“You love me?!” you asked as you interrupted Joe.

“Yes of course I love you.” Joe answered which causes you to smile and get emotional. All Joe could do was smile, because this was the first time either of you have said those three special words to each other.

“I love you too Joe.” you say as you lena forward to give Joe a kiss. You can feel him smile against your lips as he pull you on top of him to sit on his lap.

When the two of you pulled away from the short kiss, there are matching smiles on your faces... It didn’t take you long to realize that there was something else that was on your mind that you needed to talk about.

“Also, I just want to let you know that I did plan on telling you about my previous relationship with another football player.” you confess. “I wanted to tell you before someone else got the chance but Harrison ruined the plan. I was just scared to tell you because I didn’t want to get judged by you for previously being in a relationship with a football player.”

“I would never judge you and no one has a right to judge you.” Joe answers. “It doesn’t matter if you’ve dated two football players… there’s are a lot of differences between me and Harrison.”

You chuckled at what Joe said because he’s not wrong. There are many differences between Joe and Harrison; there are differences on the football field, but also there are differences off the football field.

“I know that it’ll take time for the anxiety you have about relationships to go away because how you were treated in your previous relationship and I’m letting you know now that I will be right by your side every step of the way to help you overcome your anxiety when it comes to relationships.” Joe says.

Once again, you felt emotional over the words Joe said because you believed your expectations of love were too much for someone to handle… For so long, you thought you weren’t worthy of experiencing a romantic relationship that is built on the foundation of trust.

“I love you so much.” you say as you lay down on top of Joe’s chest with his arms wrapped around your waist.

“I love you too Angel.” Joe says.

It’s crazy how in just one year, your life can changed in ways that is easy for you to explain… One year ago, you were in a relationship with someone that you never felt loved you to the full potential. Now, you are wrapped in the arms of a man who will prove to you every day that he loves you and will be right by your side until the end.

it feels like it’s been way too long since my last written fanfiction was published so i hope you all enjoyed reading this written fanfiction… i promise that the next written fanfiction won’t take a month to be published.

Update for November from the upcoming Good Omens Graphic Novel! :) ❤

Apparently I’m a demon and I lied: we won’t be doing more frequent updates, split between information and reveals. We had heard feedback that the updates were too long; then last month, we heard even more feedback that people liked the comprehensive updates after our last one, so instead of promising a particular amount, we will mostly stick to monthly, but play it by ear if anything special comes along…

We did say we’d be back with some exciting things: we’ve already shared with you Rachael Stott’s beautiful alt cover featuring Crowley and Aziraphale, but here is Bookshop Blaze, the print included in Loot Box #1 (Serpent Tier+). Isn’t she a beauty?

What we’re also hearing, every time Aziraphale is illustrated alongside ducks is, “More ducks”, so meet the duckling enamel pin (Demon Tier+). Any angelic duck names welcomed.

As for the mystery packs, we promised more pins and more pins you shall have. These mystery packs are add ons, and these five are just a sampling of what is to come. To keep track of the enamel pins, you can visit goodomenshq.com.

We’ve had sample pins showing up and while most that we have in person we’re yet to reveal, here is the fearsome hellhound Dog in all his glory:

Some eagle-eyed fans spotted another pin cameo: Sir Terry Pratchett pins appeared at Neil Gaiman and Rob Wilkins’ event at the British Library, which celebrated the Worlds of Terry Pratchett, just in time for the 40th anniversary of Discworld. You can watch that event here.

PledgeManager

Onto more logistical updates, while PledgeManager is closer to being ready, we will now be launching this in March. We’re working on some additional versions of items based on your suggestions, ensuring everything is locked in for shipping everywhere, dotting the is, crossing the ts. This is a busy time of year for everyone, and so it seems best for all, rather than to rush the process, we instead give everyone a decent bit of notice with a much firmer date, and hit 2024 with some gusto.

On that note, as a reminder, PledgeManager is where we will process shipping addresses and payment, so don’t worry about not supplying addresses yet, or indeed moving in between now and the graphic novel's release. There’s still plenty of time before this is needed.

I'd like to address a few words on Lisa Marie Presley today, on [sadly] the 1st anniversary of her passing.

BRAVERY. That's the biggest virtue I see in Lisa.

At 5 years old she saw her life drastically changing for the first time, and it was the first moment she had no other choice but to be brave, even not knowing about it, consciously. Her parents, Elvis and Priscilla, divorced in 1973. Imagine how this feels to a child. Imagine now how this feels to a famous child, since gossip is all around and there's nothing anyone could do to prevent her from being exposed to it (even if Priscilla and Elvis tried the hardest to protect young Lisa, the best they could).

Although she couldn't possibly understand what was going on, a child is still very perceptive and sensitive to the world around. At 5 years old is the age we all begin to keep the first memories of being alive, so Lisa must have kept to her adult years, vivid, possibly painful, memories way back from 1973, even if just a few blurred images and soft whispers echoing through her mind.

Then, at 9 years old she was forced to be brave for the second time, but it was harder. Unfortunately, Lisa lost her loving father in 1977 and grief stroke her for the first time, ravaging her fairy tale castle at once, without any warning, and, on top of that, she spent her whole life from then on, having those painful memories being brought up to mind when people, naturally, asked about her phenomenal father, all the time they addressed to her. She could never, and she did never, managed to escape this, to keep herself from thinking about her father's death and avoid suffering.

But the worst about having to heal and "get over" her father's loss, certainly was witnessing people, many, many people, badmouthing him. The man this young girl knew, the one she looked up to, the loving parent that took good care of her, that spoiled her to a fault, the first man that protected her and the first man she ever loved, the one man that treated her as a little princess and made her feel the most special little angel on earth, was gone forever... and the people, instead of being compassionate and protective about her, were all around spewing venom over her father's grave, shouting how bad of a man Elvis Presley supposedly was. And it all started since the day Elvis passed away, from the gossip in the book "Elvis: What Happened".

To little "Yisa" Marie, Elvis was a hero, just a hero... nothing more, nothing less.

But she didn't have him around anymore, to hug her and tell everything would be alright, or to put her at ease and say those things they said about him, those things that were hurting her so much, were all lies — even tho much wasn't, she didn't understand and it would've been good having her father there to make her feel safe.

All she had available now, to help her feeling closer to her daddy, to get to know him a little better for herself and maybe getting a good and sound advice from him, were books. Books with the family and friends own personal accounts on who Elvis was and what he did throughout his life. But those books... the same books that contained the good side of Elvis, contained many things a daughter doesn't want and doesn't need to know about her parent.

To who Lisa could run to, when needing a little support, a little help soothing her sorrow, her grief? Her mother. Now, the worst must have been having her own mother writing a memoir book where she accused Elvis of many shameful, monstrous even, actions and behavior (one of the vital books that tainted Elvis' image forever). Now, Lisa didn't have her father anymore, and her mother kinda looked like an enemy at times. She felt lost, alone, and didn't know why those people kept on talking so badly about someone she utterly loved so much and that gave her nothing but the deepest love she ever felt.

Reading gossip all the time, being asked about things written in book she couldn't possibly tell rather they were truthful or not; things written in books she probably didn't ever read to keep herself from getting even more hurt. Still, Lisa had to sit and hear all those hurtful things about her own father and she couldn't do much to defend him. She just sat there and probably feeling the words cutting her guts like knives being twisted nonstop. This little girl was deeply hurt many times in her life, and nothing could mend this part of her broken heart.

It made her angry the way she was forced to hear some people mocking her father. It maddened her how the press kept questioning her about rather Elvis was or wasn't a bad man. But she had to live with this and keep a straight face. She had to grow up faster than most children/teenagers do while the press - and a good part of the society - kept on trying to make Lisa hate a part of herself, her origin, her own family name. She saw her castle being crushed many times during her life, with only a few quick breaks, here and there, so she could take a deep breath and get herself together again, only so she could prepare herself to the next dark moment she sorely felt would come to find her, sooner or later.

On top of Elvis, Lisa had to deal with many more damaging situations throughout her life, AND I AM ONLY TALKING ABOUT HER FORMATIVE YEARS UNTIL NOW.

Because of her status in society, her name, her fame, her wealthy, she never knew if the ones around her were genuinely loving and caring for her or not (something her father also experienced as an adult, something that Elvis confessed to friends it made him hopeless since he would never know for sure if he had true love in his life or if the people around him were there to get something only he could offer, and something that wasn't his pure love at all. Imagine living a life where you never know if you are loved because of who you are or for what you have to offer. It must make one feels like they worth nothing, like they didn't deserve being loved.

Yes, Lisa was poured with Elvis' fans adoration and love, but its a different love, it's distant. It's a love not even Elvis himself could feel in his soul, even tho he loved his fans so much. He said to friends our, his fans love, was an impersonal kind of love because we didn't know him as a person, just as an image. He was right, back in his time people only knew Elvis' image. As much we adore them, Elvis and little Lisa couldn't possibly feel loved only from the fans adoration.

Not knowing if her friends really cared for her must have been lonely. Like she had nobody she could trust. We know Elvis felt like this.

Living this kind of life isn't easy, it would quickly take its toll on any of us. Lisa must have felt browsing in the ocean, all alone. She needed to escape from those uneasy feelings. So, she had some drug issues during her growing up period in life. I don't blame her, neither should you. Like Elvis sang, "Walk a mile in my shoes". You and I have no idea how it must be unbearable listening to people mocking at your family publicly; saying the meanest things about your father, some mean gossip about her mother too, here and there, and even mean rumors about herself, when people begun judging her body, her relationships, and so on.

Yet, Lisa continued being brave. She lived her life, her own way. Never caring what outsides may think of her. She got married some times, she had children and for a moment things seemed to be doing okay. But the worst thing could ever had happened to sweet Lisa, happened. Suddenly she was losing her only son, her loving beautiful boy, her Ben. All of those things that happened in that little girl's life until now, and then this, the most horrendous nightmare strikes her, breaking not only her heart but her soul, in a way she would never recover from.

Still, Lisa Marie continued being the bravest she could, for herself but mostly for the 3 beautiful daughters she had to be there for, but from now on things were never the same.

I still don't know about Lisa Marie's life in a deep. There's many more things, I'm sure, she had endure, she had to face in her lifetime [the broken relationships, not to mention the inner monsters she had to fight against every single day], but those things everybody knows are enough to make me feel empathetic towards her.

Of course, there's poverty in the world, there's people literally dying from starvation or from guns/knives and bombs - and we all feel deeply for them too, but that doesn't mean the famous and rich people don't suffer as well. Everybody has their own mountains to climb. And yes, I feel very empathetic for the emotional issues Lisa Marie Presley had to face after losing her father as a child, all the press abuse she experienced since a young age and then the tragic lost of her only son.

I'm not trying to make Lisa a saint, much less someone you should pity. Not in a million years. I know, we know, Lisa Marie was happy too. Not everything was darkness in her life. ✨ She managed to find happiness and bliss in the little things. She wrote beautiful, meaningful and deep songs; she performed live onstage graciously, even if it must have felt terrifying singing in front of an audience when people had unreal expectations on her because of her father. Lisa lived life her way. She gave her father's fans her love and affection the best way she could, all her life. She grew a loving family. She had 4 beautiful children. CONTINUOUSLY, SHE LIVED BOLDLY, DOING HER OWN THING, TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS, SEARCHING FOR HAPPINESS WHILE BEING THE STRONG, BRAVE WOMAN SHE WAS BORN BEING.

Lisa Marie Presley is an inspiring woman. She was humble, she was fearless, she was a rock star. ⚡

Unfortunately, Lisa was taken away from her family, from us, fans, too soon, exactly one year ago. But we will never forget her, not because of her father but because of her own soul, the life she created by herself.

Now, something to celebrate is that we, gladly, will read Lisa's own words about her life. About her father, certainly, but most importantly about herself and this is something to celebrate indeed. Elvis didn't had the same good fortune of having the time to collect his memories and writing a book that could speak up for him when he was no longer here. Thanks to Riley Keough, Lisa's beautiful daughter, Elvis' grandchild, Lisa will have this triumph, this final time to set the record straight.

I'm SO, SO, SO happy Lisa's memoir book will be released! She deserves having her story told by herself. Once again, Riley is being the real Presley she is. God bless her.

I love that GIF so much! It's clear to see how Lisa is emotional seeing her father's history being told in such a fair, not full of bullshit way. If we think about other Elvis biopics released previously, where in some Elvis is shown ridiculously talking to his shadow, even tho Baz Luhrmann's 2022 "Elvis" movie isn't 100% accurate, it was the closest we ever got to his real, full lifestory being portrayed. I feel happy the last her father's history portrayed onscreen she got to see was one that made her feel happy, proud and honored. That's all Lisa wanted all her life in what concerns to her daddy memory and legacy. I'm in peace knowing that, even tho she died so young, she was honored and witnessed at last her beloved father being honored and praised for the good, unique Rock and Roll hero, the pioneer, the legend he was.

I'm happy it made her happy. ♥

We miss you so much, EP and dear Lisa. Hope you're both happy reunited. Look down for us, sweet angels. We'll keep your memories alive. May God keep Lisa's angel soul in Heaven, peaceful and together with her beloved father and son.

We love you, Yisa. Thank you for living your life in such inspirational way.
