Random Headcanon I ♣️

For some mysterious reasons, Acier Silva always had soft spots for names starting with N. One of the reasons why three of her children got names with that letter. Solid is the exception, because his birth had been difficult and Acier was exhausted, so Papa Silva got a shot, calling the baby Solid. Not Aciers first choice of course, but of course it never stopped her to love Solid as much as her other children. Sometimes, she said that his name was a hint about how her love for her children was.

Back to the N names, Acier had a whole list about names with that letter. Nozel, Nebra, Solid and Noelle found it one day, which lead them in the future to choose one N name for at least one of their future children. In their mind, giving one of their future respective children a name starting with N was another way to honor their mother. So, within the next Silva generation, for of them have a name starting with N (Nymphea, Nozels oldest daughter - Nebel, one of Nebras quadruplets, a boy - Nanthilde, Solids daughter - Nemo, Noelles youngest son).

“ Nozel? What are you doing down here?” Acier asked curiously as she looked underneath her desk.

Sitting there, with papers and books around him, was her young son Nozel. He looked up from the papers and smiled at his mom.

“ I’m helping you!” Acier tilted her head.

“ You’re helping me?” She repeated with a small smile, kneeling down on the ground beside him.

“ Mhm! You’re always really busy with work, so I thought maybe I could help you so we can play more,” He told her sheepishly as he looked back down at all the paper, Acier smiled sadly before reaching out to pat her son's head.

Hearing him say that he wanted to help her so they could play more broke Acier’s heart. She thought she had been balancing her work and family life really well; but it seems that she was very mistaken. The last thing she had ever wanted to do was make her children feel like they were ‘second’ to her job as Captain…

“ But all of this work is so hard~,” Nozel whined as he looked back up at his mother. “ I don’t understand what any of this is saying, and there’s so many papers and books I need to read. It’s all just really hard!”

“ You must be really, really smart to be able to do all of this, mom!” He exclaimed with a smile, his face beaming with pride. She blinked in surprise.

“ I…wouldn’t go that far-,” She began sheepishly, but he quickly shook his head.

“ But you are! I don’t think there’s anyone else in the world that could do this,” Nozel began, his tone still excited but holding a serious edge to them. “ I hope I’m half as smart as you when I become Captain someday!”

Acier, once again, was taken aback by her sons words.

“ You want to become Captain of the Silver Eagles?” She asked, her voice full of surprise.

Nozel nodded firmly.

“ I do! When I grow up, I want to be a Magic Knight Captain, just like you!” He announced proudly.

For a moment, she just stared at him in bewilderment. His eyes were full of emotion; pride, excitement, passion, love, and determination. All the same emotions she remembered herself having when she had finally decided on becoming a Magic Knight.

She immediately pulled Nozel into her arms and hugged him tightly.

“ M-Mom?” Nozel stammered in confusion, it wasn’t unusual for his mother to hug him without warning, but this time felt…different somehow.

What Nozel didn’t know was that he was one of the only people in Acier’s life to have ever been proud of her. Her family fully expected her to reach the heights she did, and her husbands family only saw her achievements as a way to boost their own family’s interests. But none of them had ever once said, or even shown, how proud they were of her.

And Nozel telling her how much he admired her and showing her how proud he was of her…just warmed her heart and made it light up in joy.

After Acier pulled away she softly apologized to her son, saying that she had just gotten carried away due to how proud of him she was. She then proposed an idea: the two of them would work on the paperwork together as part of his ‘Magic Knight Training’, and once they were done they would take the day off and go play.

Nozel quickly agreed, and Acier made him a steel desk, gave him a few pieces of paper, and the two did “paperwork” together.

Noelle is grieving Asta but relents to protect the kingdom because he may still be alive and she has to protect the kingdom for him. Translation may be a bit wobbly from twitter but that is. A very mid way of development.

Like Noelle was so good as a character in the beginning but with the pacing and packed sardine developments it feels like a LOT of her character development is entirely around Asta and Acier and it's not!!! It ain't slaying tabata!!!

THE ONLY GOOD THING IN THIS CHAPTER, KAHONO BACK FROM THE FRIDGE

Apparently tensions at the Sea Temple is at an all time high because SOMEONE decided to bring the apocalypse and the Sea God (Kaijin) apparently has lore around him that when he awakens, the end of the world comes. Problem is Kaijin and the rest of the Temple don't want him to go berserk but undo that they need to find an excellent water mage to help reel him in

The heart shattering realization that Acier died but she at least got to be there for Noelle's first birthday.

The curse made her too weak to hold her baby daughter or even sit up, so Acier had to lay on her bed with Noelle curled up next to her. She stroked little Noelle's cheek and smiled, knowing that Noelle was healthy and strong. She sang a gentle lullaby when Noelle woke and cried in a fuss. She gave her baby girl as many kisses as she possibly could give. Let Noelle curl her too small hand around one of Acier's fingers in a search for comfort. Acier loved Noelle with what little strength she had left in her.

Because Acier knew her time was short. She knew that she wouldn't be able to see Noelle grow up.

After soothing Noelle to sleep that night, Acier looked upon her infant daughter. A sad smile on her face.

"Happy birthday, my little Noelle. Mama wants you to know that you're loved, so very much. I hope every birthday you have after this is even happier than the last."

Acier gave Noelle one last kiss goodnight.

Her one wish for Noelle was for her to have all the happiness in the world.

Solid x Rosette

I am so happy you sent in this ask and told me about Solid x Rosette because this ship is absolutely my cup of tea (and not just because they're not super gooey and romantic. [A/N: Me neither Sosette] though I do have an affinity for more pragmatic couples who are very devoted to each other even if they're not super traditionally romantic and/or are more private about their affections). The big appeal here for me is that I've always had this intense fascination with arranged marriage to lovers. I have no explanation for this, but it's an absolutely fascinating dynamic to me and something I really enjoy exploring. I'll admit that maybe I'm biased because I also chose the arranged marriage to lovers dynamic for my own Black Clover OC x CC ship, but I think it just fits the nobility and strict social order of the Clover Kingdom so perfectly in my opinion and works so incredibly well for the story you've created for Sosette.

I love the idea of Solid entering this arranged marriage because "it's what you do," but then finding himself engaged to someone kind and perceptive enough to see beyond his haughtiness to realize he isn't just a shallow snob. He is moved by the fact she trusts him, and she brings out the best in him by believing it's there. Then he has his little panic moment of "Oh no! I fell in love with my fiancee!" This is the good stuff! Also, Rosette is super cool in her own right, and I adore her (and her friendship with my girl Charmy! YES!!). I love that she's so calm, collected, and perceptive. Also she's a detective? That's so awesome (and the Poirot reference had me squealing). Also, her glass magic sounds super interesting! I'll admit I never really thought of Solid Silva as a romantic being before, but Rosette's profile and your little one shot about them sold me. They're canon now. I don't make the rules.

Lital x Fuegoleon

Lital sounds lovely as well, and her backstory is really compelling (especially the story of her adoption which was so moving and so wholesome). I love the slow burn nature of her relationship with Fuegoleon, their long history with each other, and how they bonded over being on the same magic knights' squad. I'll admit I'm not as feral about it as Sosette (seriously, I just adore that ship now), but it seems like a very sweet pairing and I'd definitely be on board for it too!

Some Platonic Bond Thoughts Too? I'm So Spoiled! 😁 Thank you so much for this! Platonic relationships are truly my real passion, so it means a lot to me to be indulged to ramble about them as well.

Mother and Son: Acier and Nozel Silva

The bond between Nozel and Acier is so incredibly compelling to me. It's nice to see such a healthy and wholesome mother and son relationship, and the series does such an incredible job of showing just how much Nozel's love for his mom and his desire to make her proud and live up to her legacy has motivated and affected him. I adore them.

Finral and Gauche Friendship

I don't think I've ever really thought about this one before, but as soon as I read your ask, I had this very vivid thought of them bonding over gushing about how much love their younger siblings (I'm sure Langris would hate that...but luckily he's not there 😂😅). That said, it's a little hard for me personally to imagine that Finral wouldn't get on Gauche's nerves, so I'm not sure I can see them as besties in the same way as Gauche and Gordon for instance, but I do like the concept of an unlikely friendship between them and them bonding over their roles as big brothers. 😊

Hi sweetheart, I thought a lot about this request when I read it. I love it, but it's so sad. But i never thought about about Mereoleona in relations to Acier's death, so it was really intriguing to think about.

When the news came to her, she was on a mission, she was still a magic knight back then, and she was celebrating her victorious mission. And then it came. The news. And the cup she was holding fell on the ground, the alcohol contents spilling on the ground.

She rushed home. She didn't really remember how fast she went, how long she took, how did she even got there. But she remembered looking at the funeral.

Acier's photo, she was smiling beautifully like the goddess she is and a coffin underneath it.

Everyone around was weeping, crying, grieving. And Nozel sat beside her coffin, his body slumped, his face pale and his eyes: soulless.

Mereo slowly walked towards the coffin, muttering under her breath, "it can't be."

And she saw it. Acier laying there. Seemingly peaceful but she was different. It wasn't the Acier she knew. The Acier she knew had a wide smile, and her eyes were bright and cheery. And she always, ALWAYS greeted Mereo in her chirpy yet gentle voice.

But today was different. her eyes were closed, her lips weren't smiling and for the first time ever, she didn't greet Mereo.

There was no "mereo-chan~" today.

Mereo always grumbled that calling her "mereo-chan" was so girly and that she was not a young girl anymore whenever Acier did that. But today she was begging to hear it. What would she give to hear Acier call her "mereo-chan" again.

She sat at Acier's funeral till the end. Not uttering a word, but she sat there and stared into space.

She thought all her fond memories of Acier. How Acier-nee san always took care of her, listened to her troubles, stood up for her whenever she got into trouble and their missions together. They had never ending memories together.

Growing up with 2 younger brothers, Acier was the sister she never had. Being the eldest in the prestigious Vermillion family, there was a lot of stress on Mereo. Stress to be a better example to her siblings, stress to bring pride to the family name. And Acier was her only best friend, who was always by her side.

Over the next few days, Mereo thought about how she has never won Acier in a fight. And Mereo was always training hard in order to win her someday. Acier was her ultimate rival and now, she's gone.

Mereo has never felt so empty for very long. Her sister, best friend and rival was gone to some ridiculous demon curse. She wanted revenge, but if Acier couldn't even beat them, how could she? She had to be stronger.

And Mereo got up, she packed her bags, dropped a letter at the wizard king's office, and she left.

The wizard king came into his office that morning and found a letter on his desk: Letter of resignation.

Mereo vowed to be stronger and she promised revenge for Acier Silva.

It is a bit a strange question, but what do you think could have been the flaws of Acier Silva? Even the best characters in Black Clover have flaws (even fan favs like Yami or Mereo for example) and I don't think she is different on that matter. We just haven't seen much of her to know all of that and it's just headcanons/theories, but what could be the flaws she had?

I don't think it's necessarily a strange question tbh

And I think it's an actually interesting topic to think about, in which my mind goes to her marriage. Marriage specifically because about her motherhood she's been shown as a gentle, caring mother who protected her kids at all cost, so I can't really say that there is a flaw in her motherhood aspect (if I had to say a flaw in there, then it'd probably be loving too much, but that's not really a flaw imo).

Why marriage, you might ask? Because the little bits we've seen of Papa Silva is that he is Not A Nice Man, and yet someone as strong as Acier married him. As in, sure, we could go into a discussion about how much your placement in the society dictates who you're supposed to marry, but I can't imagine that for royalty who are knights it would be... set in absolute stone? (My reasoning is that if it was, then all the royals of suitable marrying age *cough* Nozel and Fue *cough* would have been married already. It's flimsy but...) My point is: it seems that Acier did have a choice.

At least the choice was to not marry at the age that she did. But she did and had four kids.

So... maybe her flaws were being too kind, too loving, maybe even thinking that she could change a man who was unkind. Too understanding.

Somehow my train of thought goes to Noelle's comment about how "the Steel Princess wasn't dancing on the battlefield, she was struggling". This was during the moment where Noelle has her valkyrie armour and the rest of the Silva siblings see Noelle's strength for one of the (if not The) first time. And Noelle says it because she sees her mother in herself. So, maybe Acier, too, was struggling with things. But she tried to love life, herself, her kids, and I assume her husband.

Maybe she would also have been a little brash? For the noble circles at least? I just have this image in my head of someone who wants to go into knighthood (while they could live comfortably without doing so) to be a little bold, maybe a little brash, or just someone who wants to make a change.

If only we saw more of her, and not just how characters remember her.
