This makes my heart happy. Steve is such a big kid. Proud that he got Danny a present and wants to hang out with Charlie (why’s your dad such a poopyhead lol) and Danny telling Charlie bout his timeouts (I can so see Danny putting Steve in his office for timeout) I would love to see more of Steve and Danny with Charlie scenes more, they make such a cute family.

“And then she asked if the Illuminati had videoed us!”

There was a general laugh from the room, and Steve grinned at Jerry from the seat he’d taken at the back of the room just in time to hear his latest story. Jerry was taking full advantage of the opportunity to perform to his captive audience, and was regaling them with tales both Five-0 related and not. Chin walked up to him and slapped him on the shoulder, then said something quiet to him with a smile. He pouted slightly, but ceded his makeshift stage to Chin. 

“As you know, I met Jer at school way back in the day,” his calm voice rang out. “Even then, we all knew he had to be destined for, well, stranger things...”

Grover sat down next to Steve and nudged him. “Hey, how long you been sitting back here?”

Steve summoned up a smile, ignoring his head spinning, and replied, “Fifteen.”

“SEAL stealth mode on, huh?”

“Something like that.”

Grover frowned at him but refrained from saying anything. “I think Chin’s going to pull the rest of us up after he’s done lauding Jerry. Rightly, he deserves lauding. Laudation? Anyway, Williams’ is gonna need to be here too, where is he?”

Steve glanced around the room. “Hasn’t he come in? He must be in the kitchen.”

“You want me to go get him? You look crashed out after all the jumping-off-bridges shit.”

He waved a hand. “No, I’ll get him.” He placed his still-full beer down and stood up in small, careful movements. He could feel the suspicious eyes of an ex-Chicago cop on his back as he moved out the room but he assiduously ignored them. 

Danny was probably just staying out of the crowd trying to digest the information, and he didn’t know if seeing him would make it worse or better, but seeing someone else would definitely be worse. He sighted the grey-shirted back bent over his kitchen counter, hat lying next to his hands, and hovered in the doorway until he noticed that he seemed to be frozen and his ribcage was rapidly expanding and contracting. He moved at speed to place a hand gently on his back, heat soaking into his fingers. 

“Hey, Danny,” he started softly. “You okay?”

“What does it look like?” his taut voice snapped, head still bent to the counter. “Having a panic attack is not okay, Steven.”

“No,” he agreed, rubbing soothing circles on his back. “But it’s alright. Everything’s fine, Danno. We’re okay.”

His shoulders shook with tension and Steve took a step closer, anxiously waiting for the post-freeze collapse. 

“No, it’s not!” There was a pause as Danny struggled to produce words. “You have radiation poisoning, how is that alright? And unspecified ‘long-term effects’, which could be anything from occasional nausea to aggressive cancers. And you almost died today anyway! What if you’d had a spell, whatever that means, while you were jumping? Or while you were uncoupling the trailer? You would be dead, Steve! No maybes, you. Would. Be. Dead. What the fuck am I supposed to do if you die?” 

Steve vainly struggled for answers, but came up with nothing, too preoccupied with the thought of their situations being reversed. Danny let out a breath of air that was almost a sob and finally collapsed, arms falling beneath him. “Exactly.” Steve extended his other arm beneath him to take his weight as he fell, then moved them so that his back was to the counter, Danny’s head on his chest. He bent his own neck to rest his forehead on top of his head, closing his eyes. “I don’t have answers, ku’u Lei,” he said softly. “But I’m here now. I love you.”

Danny straightened slightly and circled his own arms around the taller man. “I need you, Steve,” he said on a long exhale.

“I need you too. We’ll figure it out.”

Steve’s leap of faith and him with Danny in his ear the whole time. Oh course no matter what Danny is there with him the whole time. And we find out that the gift that Steve got him was something for his restaurant (for Steve’s) which under no circumstances is going to be called Steve’s cos Steve is going to be there with him every step of the way. I am so glad that they both know that no matter what they both believe in each other and will always be there even if it is fucking insane.

7x25: Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka Aina I Ka Pono-Where Kono has one last happy moment (before the end)

Kono with her niece/cousin Sarah shopping for Jerry getting his Five-0 badge (FINALLY!!!) she is so happy and has a moment to herself where she...thinks she might be pregnant (which we later find out from Adam was not to be (I was so disgusted by what the writers did to Adam and Kono) they never got their happy ending after all the shit they went though to be together.

This was a nice scene thou. The last happy Kono scene we had and I will always treasure it.

Over the years we have watched Steve come up with some crazy stuff to come out on top and be victorious and save the day, but this one is without a doubt the most crazy 😜 (and the rest of the team know it) if by the looks on all of their faces.

I suppose it’s good in a way cos this is the final time we have the original (and the best) team with Chin and Kono here so they might as well go with over the top action and Steve giving Danny a heartattack.

I know Jerry getting his badge is supposed to be a good thing but it was masked by Kono doing something about the girls on the maninland who are not able to go home to their familes.
