While I much prefer to make brighter minis, I’ve always wanted a go at trying todo a Turnip28 mini. While it’s still brighter than most lol, I’m really happy with it’s style and basing.

Turnip28 is a grimdark setting where root-vegetable people fight each other in muddy lands, he’s a carrot man!

Le monde actuel dispose d’un réseau très complexe de moyens de communications : radio, télévision, téléphone, internet, le tout relayé par câbles sous-marins et satellites. Les événements et les nouvelles se transmettent instantanément d’un bout de la planète à l’autre. C’est ainsi que les hommes et ceux qui les dirigent diffusent leurs pensées et leurs opinions, proposent leur philosophie de vie et imposent leurs choix, qu’ils soient bons ou désastreux.

Nos contemporains s’expriment, en fonction de ce qu’ils ont entendu et vu, par le moyen de ces médias, et souvent dans les mêmes termes.

Qu’en est-il de nous, chrétiens ? Nos modes de pensée sont-ils basés sur telle ou telle source d’informations ? Ces sources sont si souvent contradictoires, et parfois même, mensongères !

Soyons plutôt à l’écoute d’une autre voix, celle qui mérite d’être écoutée et crue : la Bible. Elle nous fait entendre la voix divine, et le Saint Esprit qui habite en nous, nous aide à la comprendre. Il nous montre que Dieu conserve le contrôle de tous les événements qui bouleversent le monde. Sa Parole permet au chrétien de situer l’actualité vis-à-vis de l’éternité. Les hommes pensent faire leur volonté et parvenir à leurs fins, mais Dieu tient tout dans sa main. Soyons certains qu’il aura le dernier mot, à la fois pour sa gloire et pour le bonheur de ceux qui auront écouté sa Parole.

we know what has happened in the past. We have had a previous massive change with the onset of industrial technologies. That change required us to rework a social contract that had been based on the Great Chain of Being, in which aristocracy had a responsibility to assure the safety and well being of the commoners in their domain to one involving the relationship between labor and capital. We attempted two broadly different solutions to this: state control of both capital and labor (Communism) and markets with meaningful labor bargaining power (through unions, social safety nets). We know that the market based approach won out but it did so because of a new social contract –started in no small part by Bismarck – not in spite of it. And at the time what many people fought for and wanted was to have the benefits of industrialization to accrue to both labor and capital.

This posse is a kind of wild-west meets classic fantasy necromancy. From left to right; a big boned farmer, a vampiric mayor, the priest who found the old gods’ bones to revive them, a Frankensteined Undertaker, and an animated set of armour possessed by the town’s blacksmith.

I wanted a proper grimdark set of minis for Forbidden Psalm, a game that’s compatible with Mork Borg that I’ve been getting really into.

One of the darkest sets of miniatures I’ve ever painted, here’s an example of the colour balance;
