Alice and Mol for my Turnip28 regiment are finally done and I'm incredibly happy with how these two came out! This project was a ton of fun and I can't thank everyone enough for the support as they followed it along with me these past few weeks! Now I just need to work on the rest of my army!
While I much prefer to make brighter minis, I’ve always wanted a go at trying todo a Turnip28 mini. While it’s still brighter than most lol, I’m really happy with it’s style and basing.
Turnip28 is a grimdark setting where root-vegetable people fight each other in muddy lands, he’s a carrot man!
I still get a kick out of the rules in Turnip28 - a post apocalyptic Napoleonic game (yes, you read that right) - how different kinds of playable forces have special units.
One is a reference to the French Grognards, seasoned veterans that complained about everything. And their special thing is that they are elite, staunch, very hardy soldiers - but they can only arrive halfway through a battle and they're tired as hell.
Napoleonic-historians will get a giggle out of this.
Released a highly experimental, fully narrative battle-report type video, with a format that might be possible to use more in the future assuming folks enjoy it?
Whipped up some movement trays to tie them together, I'm pretty happy about how they came out. These have been sitting on my shelf for a while now, so I'm glad they're finally done with. Maybe someday I'll actually clear my backlo... nah who am I kidding
That one on the left will have a flag on that pole eventually, I just need to finish designing them first
This is the Toff for my Turnip28 army. General Stolka, leader of the 13th Garlic Grenadiers. If I ever get around to it I'd like to write a short story about him, but for now here is the finished model I converted out of a Reaper Miniatures Half-Ogre Fighter, and a lot of Warhammer Fantasy Bits. I'm very happy with how he came out, now I need to start painting his Toadies and Followers.
