Laws of God or Laws of Man?
Laws of God or Laws of Man?
Frequently, one of the lessons in Sunday School classes would pose the question, “If the law of the land was contrary to the law or will of God, which would you obey; the laws of God or the laws of man?” Looking back at the Supreme Court reversal on baby killings (June 24, 2022), it occurred to me that throughout the years, some local churches faced that decision. Though many fervently prayed and…

The Wonders of God's Word: Part V The Blood of Jesus Cries Out
The Wonders of God’s Word: Part V The Blood of Jesus Cries Out
For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away {Isaiah 64:6 NASB} I am unclean. It doesn’t matter how many good works I perform; how many times I go to church in a given week; how big my offering is. I am unclean. The only way that God can look at me and…

When We Truly Love
“No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains in communion with and in obedience to Him—deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen or known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him].” 1John 3:6AMPC
This scripture rankles denominations claiming ‘go ahead and sin, grace covers all sin.’ I will take it a step further.
When Lou and I married 54 years ago, if I displeased him, ‘he’ll get over it’ was my mentality. Marriage was about me. Over those first years, I learned to try and be pleasing— to keep peace within the confines of our home. Along the way, I fell totally head-over-heels in love with Lou. It became my desire to be part of him, an extension of his ideals, hopes and dreams. Today I have no desire to hurt or displease him in anyway.
Lou currently has bronchitis along with his other issues. I was trying to help him stand up and walk. He looked at me totally lucid saying, ‘I don’t want to hurt you. Please don’t, lifting will hurt your back. Get help.’ Then he slipped back into the fog of fever and illness. Those years of becoming a part of him reaped a harvest of his continued protection and concern for me, no matter how he feels.
My point: When we truly love— truly love God— we won’t want to sin—hurt Him. Those pet sins aren’t worth keeping around to stimulate us in the wrong manner. That addiction, desire, whatever isn’t as important as intimacy and fellowship with Yahweh Adonai. He becomes our consuming passion.
1John 1:8-9NIV “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” This appears to be the total opposite of our text. It isn’t.
In the text it’s talking about pet sins— refusing to let go of things which God has been dealing with us about. This covers sins against your own body, etc.— “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.” Example——: “…For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.” Romas 1:26-27ESV. ——: “…nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,…nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers…” 1Corinthians 6:9-10ESV. ——: “…impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry…” Colossians 3:5ESV. ——: “liars, perjurers” 1Timothy 1:10ESV ——: “A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 22:5ESV Cross-dressing, or transgenderism?
Sin are listed also throughout the first five books of the Bible. They cover everything besides praising God and breathing. God is HOLY. He can’t tolerate sin close to HIm. His glory burns sins up. To daily not sin— breaking God’s Laws — is impossible. Jesus died for the payment of ALL THOSE SINS to bring us close to God. Still, we can choose our pet sins above our Savior by constantly claiming ‘grace covers.’ I remember the night Yahweh said to me— ‘Let go of that sin. I won’t tolerate it in you any longer. I can’t live with your sin.’ Not once have I regretted letting go of what was wrong for relationship with God.
Are you hanging onto something which is holding you back from God’s best? Sins are forgiven. Relationships are chosen and built. Which do you want? It’s your choice. You choose.
LET’S PRAY: LORD God forgive us for choosing sin over You. Cleanse our desires, in the name of Jesus Christ.

GOD CAN USE YOU!! Part 1.
God has specific reasons for creating everything and nothing is too large or small for Him to use. Even ants have a function. Consider this...one colony of Allegheny Ants can move 5 tons of subsoil and turn it into topsoil in just one year! If that wasn't incredible enough, during the process of "creating" the topsoil, the saliva, digestive juices and other secretions from the ants enrich the soil by increasing the nutrients found therein. In order to move that much soil in such a relatively short period of time, the colony needs to work steadily and tirelessly. In Proverbs 6:6 we read: "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:" If God can use a tiny ant to move and enrich the soil, how much more can He do through and with us?! Let's examine some of the ways we can be of use to Him.
God can use us when we see others compassionately.
In Matthew 9:36 we are told: "But when He (Jesus) saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted and were scattered abroad as sheep having no shepherd..."
How many of us see others with the compassion of Christ? Do we take into account the circumstances surrounding and affecting them? Do we know their personal stories...their truths? DO WE REALLY WANT TO? Some people wear their "hearts on their sleeves," while others are as silent and staid as a statue. Many of those around us are easy to read and understand, however, the majority tend to be complex and almost inscrutable due to years of surviving in a duplicitous and ungodly society.
And yet, we are to exemplify Christ...not just in our thoughts, but also in our words and actions...in our emotions and beliefs...every day, not just when we feel like it...in every way, not just when convenient. This is not an option...it is the reality of the true believer in Christ.
The compassion of Christ is also made manifest through love...not through sexual or physical expressions but through Agape as described in 1 Corinthians 13:7 which states: love "...Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. " In Christ, compassion and love are inseparable...and because of this, it is natural to reach out in compassionate tenderness to those in need.
It is necessary to remember that God is love (1John 4:16).
Jesus, in John 10:30, stated that He and His Father are One, therefore, Christ Jesus is also love. To understand Him more fully, read 1 Corinthians 13:7 thusly: Christ beareth all things, Christ believeth all things, Christ hopeth all things, Christ endureth all things. Christ loves all of His creation...even those we perceive to be different or unlovable...and since He loves them, so should we. People need the Lord...and they need to see and meet Him through us.
How often do we react to the desperate needs of mankind in fear...in contempt...or with rejection instead of being moved to compassion as Jesus was in Matthew 9:36b? Without Christ, we are all like blind men who are searching in a dark room for a black cat that doesn't actually exist! However, according to
1 Peter 2:9, God uses His children to reach people who are trapped in that desperate condition...He uses us to bring His light and His sight to that dark room.
Almighty and Everliving God, please open my eyes so that I see people in the way you want me to...open my heart so that Your love and compassion shines forth ...and use me however You want to so that Your Kingdom increases. To You belongs all the praise, honour and the glory now and forever. Amen

Scripture of the Day February 27, 2024 'HE IS' and 'IN HIM' Scriptures from the Bible’s KJV
HE IS: Deuteronomy 32:4 HE IS THE ROCK, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
2Samuel 22:51 HE IS THE TOWER OF SALVATION for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.
Job 9:4 HE IS WISE IN HEART, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?
Psalm 91:2 I will say of the LORD, "HE IS MY REFUGE and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust."
Isaiah 50:8 HE IS NEAR that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
Isaiah 53:3 HE IS DESPISED AND REJECTED OF MEN; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Psalm 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: HE IS A BUCKLER TO ALL THOSE THAT TRUST IN HIM.
IN HIM: Psalm 72:17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and MEN SHALL BE BLESSED IN HIM: all nations shall call him blessed.
John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and NO UNRIGHTEOUSNESS IS IN HIM. John 13:32 If GOD BE GLORIFIED IN HIM, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, "What is truth?" And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, “I find IN HIM NO FAULT at all.”
Acts 7:28 For IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
2Corinthians 1:20 For all the PROMISES OF GOD IN HIM ARE YEA! and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Colossians 2:9 For IN HIM DWELLETH all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
1John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that "God is light, and IN HIM IS NO DARKNESS at all."
1John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and IN HIM IS NO SIN.

Love God And Keep His Commandments
1John 5:1-21
1. Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3. For this is love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6. This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8. And there are three that bear witness in the earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11. And this is the record, that life, and this life is in his Son.
12. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, the heareth us:
15. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
16. If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
18. We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19. And we know that we all are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

NEW WINE IN AN OLD BOTTLE
Tumblr media
Matt.12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit
corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit."1 Peter l:14.
KEY VERSE: James 3:11-12 *Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water
and fresh.
"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every
good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring
forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good
fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire."Matt.7:16-19
Anyone who has given his or her life to Christ is born-again and does not go back to live a sinful life.
A child of God is somebody that has been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ and has become a clean
vessel, therefore does not continue to practice the old life of sin.
The new birth comes with a new life; you
cannot be living the old life in the new birth, and say you are born again.
Anyone who claims to be born
again and continues to live in his old Iife style is yet to be born again, because the new birth always comes
with transformation of heart and change of life style and this change is both inside and outside.
Once you
are born again the first evidence is that you will stop living in your old sinful life, cease from living a life
style that conforms to the world and start living the life of Christ.
The Bible says "Whosoever is born of
God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1John 3:9.
The Bible also says “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let It not be once
named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not
convenient: but rather giving of thanks."
Ephesians 5:3-4
The truth is, when your heart is regenerated and transformed even your dressing will also  change,
you will stop wearing the sexy and seductive clothing you used to wear when you were not born
again, and you will start dressing as a Christian to please God instead of conforming to the world.
You will be much disciplined in your dressing and always stay clear from every form of clothing that can make
others stumble or fall.
It is gross indecency for a born again to wear slitted or short skirt or clothing
exposing the legs, laps, hips or underwear. All skirts and gowns should be free and quite below the knees at sitting position.
Bible says "And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD'S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the King's children, and all such that are clothed with strange apparel.
Zephenia.1:8.
The change in your life as a Christian should be therefore both in your inside and the outside life
style and not only either of them.
We therefore cannot deceive
ourselves by still carrying on with our old
life style in the new birth and still say we are born again.
The Bible : says "Nevertheless the foundation of
God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His and let everyone that nameth
the name of Christ depart from iniquity." 2 Tim. 2:19

No Wishy-Washy Begging
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1John 5:14-15NKJV
When I KNOW what the will of God is, my prayers become bold. No wishy-washy begging tone, but ‘Father You said.’ Such is the case in praying for Israel. CNN, MSNBC, or BBC don’t have a word to say, in sympathy for those who attacked Israel, which can change my prayer— no, I know God’s will and that settles it.
In the last devotional, I showed everyone— God gave the land to Israel. Yes, He took it away from the inhabitants living there. Bottom line is this— “The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for He founded it on the seas and established it on the waters” Psalm 24:1-2NIV. He alone has the absolute right to do with the earth as He sees fit, not as pleases others. Ever since He gave the land to Israel as their possession in Joshua, satan, and every ousted nation has raged against God, trying to repossess what didn’t belong to them anymore.
Let’s look at God’s will is: —“I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD your God” Amos 9:15NIV. —“But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, My friend; you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are My servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off” fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Behold, all who are incensed against you
shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Fear not, you worm Jacob,
you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the LORD; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel. Behold, I make of you a threshing sledge, new, sharp, and having teeth; you shall thresh the mountains and crush them, and you shall make the hills like chaff; you shall winnow them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the tempest shall scatter them. And you shall rejoice in the LORD; in the Holy One of Israel you shall glory.” Isaiah 41:8-16ESV This scripture is an excellent one to pray over this war against Israel. Declare what God has to say over them. Also pray Psalm 83.
Another part of God’s will is 2Peter 3:9ABIPE “…He is patient for your sakes, and because He is not willing that any person would perish, but that every person would come to conversion.” Yah wants even Muslims to be saved. Therefore we have to add a call—‘Lord save those Muslims who You are to be saved out of the Islamic people and be a revival to end all wars, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Will you begin praying God’s written will over Israel? Can you declare God’s Word? For victory we must align ourselves to the Lord God. It’s your choice. You choose.
LET’S PRAY: LORD God Ruler of heaven and earth shine forth Conqueror and win this war for Israel, for Your people, and bring in a massive revival, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Jesus As God And Man
Three Positions of Jesus
Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into Heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in His fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if thou canst tell?
The truth of Jesus being both God and Man simultaneously has proven difficult for many to grasp. One thing that may help is considering three positions which Jesus holds. They are not the only ones; however, these three bring much clarity: Son of Man, Son of God and God the Son. Let’s see what Scripture says, and specifically, what Jesus says. Only a handful of scriptures will be used for the sake of brevity. It would be well worth studying in far greater detail than what is presented here. Go deep!
Son Of Man
Philippians 2:5-11 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation (NASB says emptied Himself), and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a Name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The Son of man represents man to God, and it’s from this position, Jesus identifies with us, took on our sins, and was crucified for us (Matthew 17:22-23; 26:1-3; Mark 8:31; Luke 9:21; John 3:14; 2 Corinthians 5:21, etc.). Also, Jesus said it’s from this position He judges mankind.
John 5:26-27 For as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself; And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man (see also Matthew 13:36-43; 24:1-50; 25:1-46; 26:64; Mark 2:1-12, etc.).
Son of God
Romans 1:3-6 Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By Whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ.
As the Son of God, Jesus represents God to man. From this position He gives us life and raises us up to be the children of God, and as such, we live by His faith (Galatians 2:20).
John 5:25-26 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself.
Galatians 4:4-7 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law, To redeem them that were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ (see John 1:12-13; Romans 8:1-17; 1John 5:9-13, etc.).
God The Son
John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the Light of men.
Jesus was there at the beginning, because He is also God the Son. Even Genesis reveals this in the opening chapters.
Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (Read the entire chapter).
Father, Son and Holy Spirit are revealed in the first three verses. “And God said” points to the Word of God, Who is Jesus. To some this may sound like a stretch, but there is more.
Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His Own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
Notice God said, “Let Us make man in Our image.” That’s plural; He did not say let Me make man in My image. Let’s go further.
Colossians 3:12-18 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son: In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the Head of the Body, the Church: Who is the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence (see also Ephesians 3:8-9; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 19:13, etc.).
All things were created by and for Jesus, which also reveals Him as our Creator as well as our Redeemer. God being God, He can reveal Himself to us anyway He pleases. What has been presented here only scratches the surface. There are numerous other verses in the Bible that reveal more on this topic, which is the reason “etc.” was added at the end of some the lists of Scripture given. Search the Scriptures to see if it be so.
