Nine 8 One - The show that never happened@Metal For Mercy, Witten, 17.02.2024

Selten habe ich mich so geschämt wie diesen Tag, als eine ziemlich gut gefüllte Werkstadt in Witten auf mich wartete. Und das bereits um 19 Uhr, wo wir eigentlich hätten spielen sollen. Gitarrist Robert hat uns um 12:30 Uhr abgesagt, da er unpässlich sei. Somit haben wir das Konzert kurzfristig absagen müssen. Ich begab mich mit Band-Mutti Claudia und unserer Gitarrenbox auf den Weg, um die befreundeten Bands nicht hängen zu lassen, die sich sehr darüber freuten, dass ich und später auch Mirko und Mendi noch aufgetaucht sind. Wir brachten auch ein wenig Merchandise, u.a. eine Neuauflage mit Bonussong unserer "Pay The Price"-CD in Gedenken an unseren verstorbenen Gitarristen Jörn, mit. Wir bedanken uns sehr bei dem Team von Metal For Mercy und vor allem sehr vielen Fans und Freunden, die sich an diesem Abend auf den Weg gemacht haben. Ich hoffe, das wir bald wieder für auf der Bühne stehen!!! Vielen Dank! Und zumindest haben Escart, Orage und Lyra's Legacy den Abend hervorragend ohne uns gemeistert.

Drank too much Prune juice today under estimating its effectiveness and spent most of the evening with bowel spasms and running up and down the stairs to the bathroom. Think the worst is over now though. It should be illegal for anything to be that effective... I had a really hard time getting to sleep last night and then had disturbing dreams. Watched Blonde 2022 tonight without realising it had so many troubling scenes in it and was mildly triggered by the violence and depictions of mental illness. I'm scared again to go to sleep. And my body has betrayed me slightly this evening... I want to read but my current book is Catcher In The Rye so it isn't exactly chill either... I need more low stakes books.

Dream: take a call from my sister in my home office, supposed to be going somewhere with H. He walks away furious and shouting about me making him late and he's sick of all the parent drama. Sister sounds stricken and is rambling. I am asking both of them to slow down and listen and neither of them will. I'm asking H for some time and he's leaving without me.

Then home like the family home exterior shot during winter. Dark glass, some light. Family inside, their mother is very mentally ill. Walk inside and the mentally ill mother is splayed out on a bed wearing lingerie with her breasts out. A feeling of needing to get her covered up and in to bed.
