Anyone else make the switch from GoodReads to StoryGraph?

I never used GR for the social component - strictly used it for (lazily) tracking my reading. Now that I’m getting more into reading, I decided to make the switch to StoryGraph and already I like it so much more. More options for tracking — I like that you can categorize books as “did not finish” — and it’s a much, much cleaner app experience.

Cheers to a new year!

A lot of things happened on the first week of 2024.

Well, at least in the EXO Planet. There’s I&B100 that was established last June 23, 2023 by Baekhyun. The news of Kyungsoo’s next album which will be released this May (!!!) and Sculpture City. A new merchandise which I failed to stop myself from buying (I ordered that expensive we are one hoodie by the way— it costs Php 3450!)

Nothing grand happened to me yet, except I returned to work last January 02. It was a slow week at work and I have a ton of stuff to do before my boss starts asking me some progress on things he asked me to do. I also got a haircut on the first day of the year! Kinda don’t like the cut and it’s expensive af but oh well. It’ll grow out anyways.

Like a tradition, I sent my future self a letter today. I wouldn’t spoil myself on what I wrote to myself but it’s a happy letter.

2023 was indeed a joy. I got to see my ultimate bias twice! I can afford to buy sealed EXO albums, photocards, and merchandises. I even bought myself an Eribong! I can afford myself a cup of coffee and treat myself some good food.

This year, I’ll be more cautious of where and how I spend my money. I will put money on my savings account and grow it. I will spend my weekend in a productive way, making sure I up skill. I will establish a small business to help in paying the bills. This time, I’ll make sure to make it happen. No matter what!

Here’s to another year. This time, let’s stop with survival mode and start living with good intentions every single day.

the gym workers received Hershey kisses

top left = new manual door lock at my Mom's house. my Mom has been wandering outside during the night. my niece is staying with my Mom and has been finding the back door unlocked in the morning, so today i installed one of these manual locks on the front and back door to see if that will help keep my Mom inside at night.

middle = the gym had a polar bear challenge for adults today. i didn't see the notice that it would be today so i missed out. the participants went swimming in the outdoor pool for about 15 minutes and then 45 minutes of warm up activities in the indoor pool. hopefully i can participate next time

bottom = paint squad working in the gym stairway

i converted an old laptop from microsoft windows to linux mint.

ang daming bagay na gusto kong mangyari pero ang daming hadlang. gusto ko lang naman sumaya, pero bakit parang hindi pwede?

gusto ko magbakasyon ng payapa pero hindi pwede kasi may research kami na kailangan ulitin - hindi naging sapat yung unang gawa namin , na kesyo mali ganito ganyan. yung isang sem ko andoon, pero nabalewala lang. pagod na ako.

gusto ko lang makita yung seventeen, inayos ko yung schedule ko na hindi matatamaan yung concert dates [ saturday sunday ] pero tangina nabago rin yung exam schedule kasi may holiday, gusto ko lang kayo makita ng payapa, bakit parang hindi pwede?

parang awa naman Universe, pagbigyan mo na ako. kahit sa ganitong pagkakataon lang pagbigyan mo ako, kahit makita lang yung seventeen at mapirmahan yung papel namin.

ito lang, parang awa mo na. kinuha mo na yung pangarap ko, baka pwedeng ito naman pagbigyan mo.
