is it just me or does anyone feel that Gus was just straight up the token black guy of hexside squad?
he barely gets any development, and any development he does get is overshadowed by the non-black characters (lumity cheek kiss, Hunter, Willow, Amity), out of everyone in the hexside squad he seems to be used the most for comedy, and if you wrote him out of the series completely, you’d lose nothing and probably just have a few plot holes on your hands, which could be easily written around.

It was a calm autumn morning in Jinzhou, the greenery started to change to warmer colors, the air started to slowly cool down, and leaves started to pepper the ground.
In a calm teahouse, many people enjoyed warm tea in this time, the sun shining on the ground, making the view all the more pretty.
"Hello. I'd like some basic red tea. Make it a little sweet, if you will. Maybe some milk should be added as well, please."
A slightly rotund man gives the order politely, his black jacket draped over the chair. He gives the lady a small smile.
"Take your time too."
*Jianxin twirls around tables, a loaded silver tray balancing on her head and teacups stacked in her hands as she dexterously pours tea to the customers of the teahouse.*
*Many of the regulars are happy to see her, letting her know she can slow down to avoid hurting herself. She brushes them off with an eased smile as always-- her training is enough to protect her, and her qi peaceful enough to hold balance.*
*After the round is done, she sets the tray down with a gentle hand, awaiting a notice for refills. Jianxin fixes a strand of hair with her fingers, letting out a soft sigh as she looks around.*
*She spots a man waving her over and bounds to the table with a grin.*
"I'll get on it posthaste, sir! A few more visits, and I'll have it memorized..."
*Jianxin disappears into the kitchen, and reappears a few minutes later carrying a tray with a steaming pot, a milk pitcher, and a cup of sugar.*
*She sets the items down in front of the young man with precision, pouring a portion of red tea into a medium-sized cup with a steady hand.*
"How many cubes, good sir? One or two?" *Jianxin has produced a set of chopsticks out of seemingly nowhere, grip poised above the sugar bowl as she awaits his reply.*

Hi, this might be a weird question and I do apologize if so.
Is there non-DID/OSDD systems? I have pretty bad trauma that I believe to be the cause of whatever my condition is, but my symptoms don't seem to match either of these diagnoses. I feel confused and scared, and I was hoping someone like you, with more experience, might have some knowledge?
I am not an expert on this, however I do know there are variations of OSDD that present differently. I have also heard of a variant of DID called “partial DID” which you may want to look into. There are also a wide variety of dissociative disorders, as there are different types of dissociation. There are also different combinations of dissociative disorders that cause systems with variations on alter count, switching, etc. Also not all dissociative disorders cause trauma. I don’t want to use the word “severe” to describe different trauma responses. Maybe like intense? Like DID is really “intense” dissociation and not all brains do that, so there’s variations that are less “intense.”
Again, I’m no expert, I just have DID. Hope this helps you get on the path to answers. Maybe someone who knows more about this will reblog with info? Good luck.
