eye emoji. who helps the lads with the kid... someone give able therapyyy we are handing out therapy to everyone. ev e r y o n e. but baby angel!! adopted siblings!!! lovely. i do like the song!! i only understood like one outta ten words but the v i be is off the charts, very good sounds. whats the... design type and shit. whats the difference between angel and demons? hows the theology work? what makes someone higher ranking and what makes noah the highest?
ok i dont have recent art of the characters i was thinking abt at all so bear with me. i have two ocs from my very very first oc group, arthur and maria, who were always the support team and i was thinking abt them,,, so im thinking theres a whole group of people who are angels, demons, but mostly who are out of that system, living in that purgatory space, and who abel and cain work with/helped out to get out in the past...
arthur was always the scientist/mechanic one ? so im thinking that. cain n abel see that jasper is unresponsive and they bring him to that little group to find whats wrong, if theres a way to fix him, or if he's really just... a messed up experiment who has no will of his own.
so jasper spent a lot of time w that little group !!! he has a whole family............................. sobs gently
ive thought abt angel a bit (im gonna keep calling them angel i think sobs). they live inside of jasper's body heart and soul, very long blond hair, little sunshine person, tries very hard to help jasper without him being able to hear him,,, they're also most likely blind. either from something before/how they were created or spending so much time as jasper's body. no lights in there.
design differences between angel and demons :
demons have horns, typical devil tails, and typical devil wings
angels have typical angel wings, lion like tails, and a halo that isnt always here but ! it appears !
they can both fly but it's a learned skill. lena is great at it but nell is SHIT at it lmao. angel would have very tiny useless wings bc they could never fly : ( babey
also all angels and demons have a power, a way to fight when they wake up... most times it's weapon summoning (knives for nell, bow and arrow for vik, sword for titania... the list goes on) but sometimes it mutates (eden for exemple w his healing. cody has a similar mutation but im not set on it. something that looks like white fire which could be an indication of who she is lol)
the theology and the hierarchy.............................. its veeeery vague for now . basically god communicates with the higher ranks of each sides. the war started forever ago for god's favors. at first god would help the side they liked most - never using their full power or smth, but giving little help here and there, a legendary weapon, a vision of what the other side was plotting... eventually god got bored of the war and left them to their own devices, each side thinking that they were waiting for one of them to win. so they kept on with the war.
the war in itself has been in a standstill for centuries. angels and demons both go on earth to achieve some things - helping or hurting someone mostly, depending or sides and orders - and it's usually where they end up seeing each other and trying to kill on sight. its a whole aspect i havent really explored yet, and also how vik and nell meet !
the hierarchy is more of a,,,,, typical political,,,, votes and stuff,,,,,,, there's a noah equivalent on the demon side but i havent really pushed that too much yet. in the end its ok if i dont figure out all those details because it's not what interests me until i have a an actual idea :]

I rewatched 15x07 today and I just couldn't stop seeing how much Eileen was Chuck in 15x7. Her personality, the "ew" when Cas said some part of Sam's soul is in Chuck, her reactions to any talk of Chuck, how she was standing behind Sam and sort of side eying him when Sam said he had been in Chuck's head... Well, even when she propositioned Sam, they were supposed to be looking for ways to *stop* Chuck. Why do you think the show chose to focus on that instead of developing Saileen's relationship?
omg, okay... so you see this exactly the same way I do, and I really wrestled with whether to post this publicly or not, because every time I bring up these extremely valid points, confirmed in canon by Chuck, I get told I’m either a horrible person for thinking this way or I’m delusional or a moron for feeling uncomfortable ignoring this stuff just for the sake of a ship. And I just... can’t ignore it. Because it’s canon.
One of the Big Questions of the entire season is “what is real, and what is Chuck.” Eileen returned ONE EPISODE after we learned the extent of Chuck’s ability to fuck with them directly, via Lilith. The notion that Chuck would just drop that lesson on them and then peace out is just... idiotic to me. We were supposed to see Sam’s statement at the beginning of 15.06, and Dean’s reply, as the huge flashing neon warning sign it was supposed to be:
Sam: No. I haven't had a vision since Colorado. I think maybe they stopped.Dean: Oh, I doubt it. Not until Chuck gets His end game, you know? The Winchester Bowl. Cain and Abel 2.0. This is God we're talking about. G-O-D. Wouldn't be too worried about finding Him. He'll find us.
LOLOLOLOL I mean, yes? He doesn’t even have to look hard to find you? He knows exactly where you are and how to manipulate you. He’s been doing it basically forever.
and then all of a sudden *random dead character we haven’t seen or even MENTIONED in three years* just suddenly appears specifically needing their help? And we’re supposed to think it’s an unproblematic win all around?
Sure Jan.
Chuck honestly couldn’t have chosen a better lure to send them. Someone the Winchesters would be thrown off by, someone they felt guilt over not having been able to save. Someone they’d be willing to drop everything else to help, and wouldn’t question remaining present in their lives. Someone they would trust without question. And specifically someone who had the kind of connection to Sam that Chuck could exploit to further the divide between Sam and Dean. Exactly as we saw happen... Dean made assumptions about their relationship and retreated even further into his own issues, leaving Sam alone and open to Chuck using Eileen in exactly the way we saw play out in his Vision of the Future in 15.09... driving Sam into her arms only to kill her off in a horrific, tragic situation in order to manipulate Sam into the reckless nihilism that engulfed their world by the end. Sounds exactly like what Chuck failed to accomplish with the whole BMoL plot in s12, which we ALSO know was orchestrated BY HIM, thanks to 14.20. Same story, different turn of the wheel.
Because Chuck needed all of that to get around the effects of that wound and lay down a trap that would eventually be sprung at the end of 15.08. If Cas hadn’t gone poking around in Sam’s wound, compromising Chuck’s plan, theoretically I believe he would’ve continued to use Eileen as his eyes on the Winchesters. The whole “lure Eileen out of the bunker and ensure she brings Sam along for the ride” thing felt more like a scramble to find a faster solution to his bigger problem and eliminate the compromised middle-man in his ability to directly mess with the Winchesters, which brought us to 15.09 and his desperation to force Sam into “breaking the connection” by his own choice. Since it was Sam’s will that fired the not-a-bullet that wounded them both in the first place. He literally had to break Sam’s will that generated that connection in 14.20.
As far as Chuck knew, his plans for Eileen to seduce Sam had failed, repeatedly. Between Cas’s cockblock entrance in 15.07 (which I still struggle to see as Sam ready to accept her proposition, for SO many reasons... I mean just look at his face in the first moments after it registers that she’s propositioning him. Those initial reactions are absolutely not undiluted romantic interest and passion, much as some creatively edited gif sets would lead you to believe.
I appreciate this one, with the further context of 15.09 to support my tag on it from the day after 15.07 aired.

The look Eileen gives Cas is just screaming come on you believe me right? I’m completely innocent in all of this! Just nice little sweet resurrected Eileen! Like Chuck hadn’t expected Cas to show back up and interfere with his Seduce Sam for Manpain plan.
But that seduction scene actually hurts to watch... I mean, Sam is still feeling the guilt and pain over having killed Rowena, only to discover all of her worldly possessions and magic had been entrusted to him (and not yet knowing that specific spell to resurrect Eileen had been planted by Chuck as a deliberate manipulation in itself...).  LOOK AT THIS SERIES OF FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AND EXPLAIN HOW THIS IS ROMANTIC INTEREST AND NOT GRIEF AND SHOCK:
https://canonspngifs.tumblr.com/post/189663948344/adaav-sam-winchester-15x07
Okay, now that’s out of the way, back to Eileen.
Why did they make this particular choice for her character instead of developing a real relationship with Sam and Eileen? Because she was never written with the intent of becoming Sam’s endgame love interest.
Full stop.
Anyone who says otherwise is either choosing to believe that because it props up their chosen ship or they’re unaware of the numerous times that Robbie Thompson has contradicted that statement.
I mean, I don’t usually quote this source, but this is Robbie Thompson speaking recently (within the last year) specifically about the creation of Eileen’s character:
Next up: Eileen and Shoshannah. Did they specifically want a woman hunter?
Robbie: No, it was just, they were looking for standalone episodes. So what will happen is the showrunners will come around and say, “Hey, we need a myth-arc episode. Please deliver X, Y, and Z, but build an episode around it. Or [do] a standalone.” I had this idea for this character and I had worked with Shoshannah, sort of tangentially, because I was the writer’s assistant and I wrote an episode of Jericho. She wasn’t in the episode that I wrote but she played Bonnie on that show and (this is a spoiler if you haven’t seen Jericho) her character has an untimely death. But Shoshannah was so good in the series, and she was so terrific in that episode. She’s a badass in that episode, with a whole infiltration thing and she’s blowing dudes away with a shotgun, and I was like, “Oh, I wanna see her kick some ass.” I always wanted to work with her again. So I pitched the episode with that character in mind, and then I was like, “I’d love to work with Shoshannah again.” They reached out and she fortunately had a window in her schedule; she was available.
Then I reached out, I think originally through her manager, to say, “Hey, can you put us in touch because I’m not deaf and I want to make sure I’m getting an authentic experience for the performer.” So she and I exchanged a bunch of emails. She’s since gone on to be a showrunner and a writer in her own regard. She’s a really, really brilliant writer and a brilliant actor as well. It was great being able to get her the script early so she could help me fix the parts that didn’t work. Then, on the day, she and Jared had really great chemistry and John Badham, who was the director of that episode ("Into the Mystic" 11.11), they really played around and found a lot of fun moments that weren’t scripted at all. That was just them having fun and building moments.
All those cute chemistry moments... were never even scripted. She was intended to be a one-off character that was unsurprisingly very well loved by fandom, and who was brought back when the overarching plot made her MoL connection relevant to the story in 12.17. Unfortunately for her, that meant her ONLY purpose for returning to the story was literally to be killed for Sam’s manpain. They gave her just enough cute chemistry with Sam to imply they had the potential for a romantic connection, and then killed her in one of the most brutal and horrific ways possible. Which was literally exactly what Chuck used her for in s15.
I’d like to suggest that, knowing the full truth of her entire situation, that the sinister parallel being suggested in 15.07 is not between Cas and Eileen, but between Eileen and Lee Webb. Sam’s history with her is similarly tragic to Dean’s history with Lee. And Lee represented a version of an apple pie life that tempted Dean-- the prospect of having food, fun, health, and happiness instead of the grind of hunting. Only it was a lie, because Lee hadn’t made that life for himself, he’d built it off the magic of a creature he sacrificed an endless stream of human lives to in order to falsely manipulate his own circumstances. The cake is a lie, in other words. Just like the cheerful hangover breakfast Sam and Eileen were preparing at the beginning of the episode. It just... wasn’t real. We were being urged to consider this parallel. And not seeing it for what it was required having some heavy duty ship goggles glued on.
This was doubled-down on in 15.08, with Sam being a bit overbearing and nearly getting himself killed in the opening hunt, pushing Eileen to their “agreement,” which additionally foiled Chuck’s plans to push them together romantically. Eileen couldn’t spy on Sam for Chuck if she still retained enough independence to set boundaries like that, you know? If she didn’t have eyes on the Winchesters, she wasn’t useful for what Chuck was using her for, and she was punished for that failure as much as Sam was, being forced to hurt Sam in 15.09.
Heck. This is how I’ve always seen all of this. If folks enjoy assuming some Grand Romance between Sam and Eileen, more power to them. But honestly I just can’t personally see the justification in canon for that read on things. Not to say that Sam and Eileen won’t choose to come to a different understanding in the future, or that their relationship couldn’t develop into something more once Chuck has been dealt with, but I can’t see it as romantic yet. I’d be totally down to ship them in that eventuality. And in fanon, I’m totally here for it even now.

kai06leaf replied to your post:
Ended up all night, with sleep derailed by a RUDE...
Um I had asked for a link for your batman related works?:)
Oh score, this is actually weirdly timely then! FlashinthePan is my Batfam pseudonym (https://archiveofourown.org/users/FlashInThePan/works), its just it hasn’t been useful for much other than to use my bookmarks page there as a fics rec list. Since the only other things still up on it are the YJ WIP I haven’t updated in a couple years and an elephant’s graveyard collection for the random ficlets I often write on here while forgetting they’re usually long enough to be actual one-shots...and that I then forget to actually add to that one, that I created for the specific purpose of putting all those in one place. My mind. Its just....*staggers at the Legend of it all*
I’ve been on a pretty committed “No more posting unfinished WIPs kick” for the past couple years but am finally at a point where I have stuff to post without cheating, so that streak officially ends today, when I finish my read-through of the first fic* in question and hit publish. “The Requiem Rites of Robins,” the ten chapter first story in an AU Battle For the Cowl fix-it series, “A Legacy of Robins,” with TRRoR being roughly 40K, focuses on Dick and Jason and their issues with each other and Bruce’s believed death, picking up and going AU at an indeterminate time not long after the end of BFTC.
Specific goals of focus with this particular fic were addressing Bruce’s bullshit last will and testament to Jason (ugh), the eternally unremarked upon moment that was Dick watching his brother refuse to take his hand and instead fall to what at the time must have seemed very likely to be Jason’s second death, in a pretty fucked up parallel to his parents’ death (ugh), various other unaddressed issues between the brothers that kept them making like they were Cain and Abel instead of two people who loved each other and very much could use each other while grieving for their father or even just pretending they weren’t....and also steadfastly jumping their combined train of events well off the tracks before Morrison’s whole...”Jason” thing ever happened at all (ugh).
Just a headsup for readers for whom certain characterizations of Bruce are a dealbreaker - full disclosure, this fic and its sequels do consider various less pleasant moments between Bruce and his two eldest to be in character and canon, with NTT #55 and the ending to UTRH the most touched upon and relevant. For what its worth, my intention there (and hopefully my execution of things) was not to vilify or bash Bruce, or to make it at all a question of whether or not both really loved Bruce and he them.
To be clear...I do categorize Bruce’s actions towards Dick and Jason at those times/specific others as abusive, but a huge part of my reason for even writing this particular fic was to explore and examine the reality of loving a parent even despite a history of actually abusive behavior on their parts. Of how to mourn for someone you loved at some times and hated at others, who was both the person who made you feel whole again and the one who made you at other times feel the most broken.
Especially when you’re two people who pride themselves on being heroes, who are ‘supposed to know’ that there’s no defense, no excuse for some of the things their father did, but that doesn’t always change or erase how much they want to. And who are both looking for an answer in the other, as to how they’re supposed to live with the fact that deep down, there’s a part of them that will always still be those ten and twelve year old orphan boys who came to believe their father was a man who could literally do the impossible...even mend what was broken, make things right with them and the world as they knew it just like he’d managed once before, when he’d first come into their lives and they’d been just as certain then that there were no more happy moments in their futures at all.
And with the both of them still, even after everything, having held onto that secret hope that someday he was going to find the secret loophole, the magic words that let them forgive him, that let them let the past all just be in the past and the future all that really mattered, that their best days as a family weren’t all behind them yet and there was still time for things to be different, for him to be different....because their dad wasn’t like other ordinary dads, their dad was the Batman, he was a superhero.....
....who was also still just a man, and sometimes men die with their most important deeds still left incomplete.
This first story is centered firmly on just Dick and Jason, because I have a tendency to let things get too widespread and expansive plot-wise the more characters I focus on, and because this first story, about mourning Bruce and finding a way to move on, needed to be just Dick and Jason, although Cass and Tim and Damian, as well as Steph and Babs and Alfred all have things in the wake of his believed death that IMO they needed explored, and that were never explored in canon. But Dick and Jason had to be the first two and a solo act except for each other, especially as this series is still geared towards Bruce’s eventual return, and just to a much different status quo....because the thing about Dick and Jason at this specific point in time, is that they were quite possibly the only two people in the world who would ever have the relationship with Bruce that they did, to see him the way they both at times did, and nobody else ever fully grasped.
They knew him at his highest and his lowest points, the best parts of him and the worst, the center of their whole universes and the destroyer of them....and for them, at this place and time, its about being forced to realize that for as much as come between them over the years, they each are the only ones who will ever fully be able to speak to the entirety of their father as not just Bruce Wayne, the Batman, the myth and the legend, but Bruce the man, the flawed father who was supposed to be better than his worst mistakes with them, because he was supposed to be a hero.
Even as close as others were to Bruce, there were specific slants to the light they saw him in....for Alfred, even when making his worst mistakes, he was still his son, for Cass he was still the father who fought her personal demon not because of what he wanted her to be but so that she could be who she wanted to be, for Tim, he was imperfect but still larger than life, the hero he’d still first only come to know through the lens of a camera from a great distance, a perspective he’d yet to entirely shake, and for Damian he was still largely a figure of make believe, a bed time story he’d been told all his life.
There’s an inherent goodness, a nobleness around the idea of Bruce for most others in his life, that defies coming face to face with the realities his failings could be.....which only Dick and Jason could ultimately attest to, as losing the ability to keep sight of that innate shine was why they’d found themselves so disillusioned by their father at the lowest points between them. And so in a lot of ways, the ultimate goal of writing this fic was trying to get Dick and Jason to a point where they could share their full, messy, complicated as hell feelings about their father with each other, but simultaneously feel a need to preserve the way each of their siblings still saw him, because the truth is that if there’d been someone who could have preserved that shine for their own eyes, to keep their memories of him clear and unobstructed by complication....they would have been glad to have been left just missing Bruce their father, and not the mess of feelings forever tied up in a Gordian knot upon by his death.
So yeah. LOL. That’s the link to my Batfam works, though there hasn’t been much on their for ages, but stay tuned for Chapter One of The Requiem Rites of Robins, later today.
“In the wild, a group of robins is called a round. But Gotham’s birds have always been of a different sort, something entirely unique. And the only proper plural for them, I’ve found, is a legacy.”
An investigation leads the newly minted Batman to London, alone and without Robin’s back-up for the trip. In the past couple months, Dick Grayson has barely found time to breathe, let alone to grieve for his father and come to terms with his new role as the Dark Knight’s successor. But his distracted state leaves him vulnerable, and when a new villain’s one-man war threatens to make a casualty of him too, he’s left with no alternative but to work side by side with his rescuer - at other times better known as his brother, his successor, and a couple times his would-be killer.
(Their family always has been one of over-achievers. And if you’re going to pick a pair of brothers to play compare and contrast against with that in mind, its hard to go wrong with something biblical.)
But Dick seeming no more happy about it than he is, doesn’t do much to pick up Jason’s mood. He’s come to London for his own reasons, and no, he’s still not inclined to share. Curiosity killed the cat, but he’s sure Selina wouldn’t mind if innate nosiness knocked off a few birds here and there as well. Well-earned paranoia aside, however, secrets and cynicism can only carry them so far when the two are forced to rely on each other to fight their way free of a city turned death-trap. Both are keenly aware that the last time they’d fought side by side like this, they’d been all the way back on the other side of Jason’s first untimely death. And as far as potential omens go, that one’s about as shitty as they come.
But a mixed curse and blessing are nothing new for them, and so that’s not just a painful reminder, but also proof that things were different once. That the brothers they’ve become were not always the brothers they were supposed to be. It was time and pain and bloody loss that weighed them both down so much further than the altitudes that came most naturally....not fate, or destiny, or even them. And as their new enemy forces them deeper and deeper below ground, it becomes all the more clear there’s only one skill in either of the brothers’ arsenals that will see them through to the other side of all this:
And only if they can not just remember, but rediscover, how to shed all of that and finally fly free again.

Lucifer, Season 4
So my husband and I watched the whole thing over the course of like 4 days. And it was amazing. And then afterwards I learn they’re already talking about a 5th season?!?
HYPE, YO
But the point of this post is to gush a little and outline some of the thoughts I had during the episodes -- namely one, in particular. Spoilers ahead, so don’t read if you haven’t watched it/don’t wanna know/etc.
YOOOOO BUT IT WAS SO GOOD THO
Remember this?
Linda: [gets phone call] [blah blahs] [GETS UP, SHOCKED] No, no that isn’t possible!
Well, me, being the brilliant person I am, said out loud, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?”
Husband agreed.
Then I said, “She’s pregnant.”
Husband looked surprised.
Obviously we were not thinking the same thing. XD
Also: FUCKING CALLED IT
On that note, one of the best parts was when Lucifer held little nephew, looked all happy, then precisely 4.8 seconds later handed him back. X’D Yep. That’s Lucifer for you.
AND ON THAT NOTE, Lucifer going all avenger when Eve and Trixie got threatened? God, YES. You show ‘em, Lucy. AAAHHHH I loved it so much~
>u<
Gonna say this straight out: I did not trust Eve. At all. Even all the way to the end of the last episode (more specifically, her last scene) I was expecting a betrayal. I was just so used to betrayals in this scenario, I guess. She was just too sweet, too nice, too damn happy and encouraging. She got along with everyone.
It was freaky.
But I suppose if you’re one of the oldest beings alive and just spent the last who-knows-how-many years greeting and speaking with every single soul who went to Heaven, you’d gain some incredible people skills.
Also can we talk about how Adam and Eve were in Heaven? And how they clearly weren’t right for each other? Like I thought for sure they’d be in Hell, having disobeyed le God and all, but it appears they otherwise didn’t have any sins.
Either that or they died before Cain and Abel did, because as Lucifer mentions, Hell was created because of Cain murdering Abel -- even though Cain was cursed with eternal life and Abel became Hell‘s first occupant.
Here’s one reason why I didn’t trust Eve, btw: she mentioned her “sweet little Abel”. Like, right off the bat. And it made me think of a few things: how’d she “fly the coop”? Who helped her? It can’t have been that easy. And she went back to her own body in a crypt? What crypt? How’d she get out? Crypts are usually sealed, guys. Not to mention -- first woman? Possibly tens of thousands of years old? The fact that even her bones still exist is pretty surprising.
For a while I was thinking that maybe her goal was to release Abel from Hell. Get him back. Reunite with what was clearly her favorite son.
I mean I also expected her to say something like, “Yeah, I was the first woman -- not the only woman.” Like Adam and Eve were the test run, and afterwards God went ahead and made a ton more couples placed all over the planet.
Ignoring, of course, that this doesn’t at all agree with history, archaeology, genetics, evolution, or anything else, but still. Suspension of belief is very important for Lucifer.
He started a car by staring at it really hard.
Suspension of belief is a necessity.
Also -- devil Lucy was so hot. Christ. Them wings, yo. [shivers]
I get why Chloe wasn’t able to look at him when he went devil, though -- she knows him one way. And she likes him that way. Whenever he shows her a different side of himself, she tries not to look, not to think; she doesn’t want to remember him differently than the side of him she loves so much.
She’s been viewing him as an angel for a long, long time, I think -- certainly before season 3′s finale. And that’s how she knows him. That’s who she knows he is.
Devil face Lucy fucked her up cause that’s not the Lucifer she knows.
Devil body Lucy fucked her up even worse cause she doesn’t want to remember him like that. She doesn’t want to think “he’s the devil” every time she looks at him.
She just wants to think, “It’s Lucifer.”
I had such hopes for some heartbreaking scenes, btw. And I had one in mind that I legit would’ve loved. Wanna hear about it?
Sure ya do. ;)
Scene: Lucy shows Chloe his devil wings, freaking out about it and such. Chloe comforts him with cuddles.
This is not a joke.
They lay down on the couch, he rests his head on her chest, and she pets his hair, just trying to get him to relax -- all while considering this revelation and how to help him get over it.
Cause she does want him to get over it. She can see him struggling and she wants him to not struggle. If that means getting him to accept himself, so be it; if that means helping him pull away from his darker side, even better.
He falls asleep. It’s super cute.
He wakes up to movement and the sound of choking.
Chloe is fumbling for her gun (yer damn right she has it on her at all times) and...is bleeding from the throat.
Eve had snuck up on her and, driven by possessiveness and envy, slit Chloe’s throat.
But Chloe ain’t going down without a fight.
Lucifer freaks out (understandably), both trying to yell at Eve and demand answers while looking for some way to fix Chloe’s gash of a throat. Then -- bang!
Chloe fired.
She’s kind of upside down but her aim was true: she hit Eve right smack in the forehead.
Eve drops.
Lucifer freaks out harder.
He starts going full devil (this is before I knew he even could go full devil, so it was amazingly well-timed). Chloe flops on the ground, holding her throat and gasping and spitting out mouthfuls of blood.
What do, Lucy?
Your two best girls just killed each other.
He does the only thing he can think of: grabs the both of them, holding them, crying over them.
It was a great rollercoaster in my head and I love it okay thank.
I would’ve loved to see anything even remotely close to that -- just a simple catfight between Eve and Chloe would’ve been amazing, especially considering Eve definitely would’ve started it -- and I’m a little disappointed that no great conflict between the ladies happened, but overall I freaking loved the whole season omg you guys~!
The ending was really touching but also left me a little blue-balled. Four seasons of build-up, three kisses, and that’s all we got? I mean Chloe couldn’t even have asked for a night with him?
Sad.
But...again, very touching.
Okay done ranting and gushing, I got other shit to do. Just wanted to get my thoughts out. :3

✧ Genre: Inspired by Fire Emblem: Awakening [gaius x fe!my unit], fantasy!au, comedy sorta, hella fluff, major angst my dudes, death//violence
✧ Summary: You were one of the many children sent back in time to help change the future - your reality. Along the way, you reminisce on old memories with a childhood friend that calls you quite the endearing name; bubbles.
✧ Word Count: 4.7k
✧ Check out my masterlist!
✧  Warning: graphic violence,, like I didn’t hold back kids - also spoilers for FE: Awakening sooo
                                         ✧
You fucking told Minho that there was absolutely no way he could suddenly go back in time to try and save the life of his aunt, who had been a peaceful sort of woman from the stories you had heard growing up. She had been a beam of hopefulness to your people and their country, especially after the past exalt had only brought destruction and misery to another foreign land who’s citizens rightfully came to despise those of your motherland. After her untimely demise during an assassination plot, it was as if everything had gone tumbling downwards - the reality in which you had been raised in had come crashing down in a wake of burning buildings and slain lives of innocent people.
But you had been approached by the very son of the past exalt - Lee Minho. Neither of you knew each other all too well, though he had heard of your strength and strategy on the battlefield during passing conversations. He had requested an audience with you, to which you hesitantly obliged, and then proceeded to tell you his masterplan; he would open a portal back into the past and save his aunt’s life, therefor saving your reality - their future. You, of course, had your doubts and expressed them urgently - if he was accidently killed during his mission, then there would be no telling of what might happen to him in the future. It was a risk you weren’t willing to take.
So, naturally, you tagged along with the prince up until the very day he opened the portal, only to be separated when the ugly creatures in your world called Risen fell through into the past as well. The hideous, violent creatures chased you until you stumbled upon a little village, where a sly girl with a strong sword arm and red hair helped you kill the bastards so that they wouldn’t bring harm to the village. She didn’t ask too many questions, thankfully, and simply gave you some basic supplies for your journey to the palace - she didn’t ask about that, either.
When you did finally reach the palace, you were surprised to notice that Minho hadn’t arrived before you had - you prayed that he perhaps took a detour to avoid the Risen, or something of that manner. One of the guards on duty, a pegasus knight with short, baby blue hair, bought your pathetic story of wishing to be a Shephard; Minho had told you that it was a band of righteous warriors his own father had led in his youth, so you could only assume that they were around still. When she led you into a shabby sort of barracks, however, your jaw had gaped so wide that the woman wondered if you had seen a frightening ghost.
Your own father, whom you hadn’t seen in years since his death, was sat only a few feet away from you, stuffing his mouth with pastries and jerky like a madman. He was donned in heavy green and silver armor, and his trusty sword was resting in its holster - he seemed more happy, more... youthful, for obvious reasons. The last time you had seen him, he had started to grow tiny gray hairs from stress and worry, and his lips were always curled into a fake smile for your own sake, as if you didn’t know any better back then.
“These are just a few of the Shepherds under Chrom’s command: the one with the iron axe is Vaike, the one struggling to carry the boxes without falling is Sumia, and the one currently eating like it’s his last damn meal is Stahl.”
“Hmpf-! I - I am not eating that much, I swear!” The man in green defended himself, wiping his lips from any crumbs as he stood tall to meet your gaze with a warm, friendly smile. “Nice to meet you, mam! Seem a bit young to be with us, but we’ll take what we can get!”
You laughed quietly, chewing on the inside of your cheek to keep from smiling so hard it would hurt. “My father was an excellent rider and swordsman, and he taught me everything he knew. I won’t become a burden, I swear it, sir.”
“Oh really? What’s his name, is he a famous rider?”
“Ah, you wouldn’t know him. But... he was the bravest man I ever knew.”
 I found you, father.
The next couple of weeks were like a blur to you - while you helped the Shepherds defend their land and slaughter Risen left and right, you were left to wonder if another other visitors from your reality had fallen through the portal. If that was the case, you needed to find them, and fast. Luckily the gods had been smiling down on you, as only a short while later Minho had reappeared, though he was wearing a mask to hide his appearance and called himself Marth, likely using it as a ruse to hide his identity.
The first time you had found the prince again, was during a tournament where Chrom had to challenge the West khan - it was a bit complicated, honestly; to win the support of the East khan, you all had to make sure you were her champions and beat the other khan, since their people believed far more in power than regular diplomacy. Whoever's champions won meant that the specific khan with their support would be the sole ruler of their country until the next tournament.
You’d been hopping onto the saddle of your horse when you heard Chrom hiss under his breath as if he was shocked. Naturally your gaze trailed over to where he had been looking, and within seconds you recognized the warrior across the battlefield; it was Minho, but he was wearing a mask and new clothes. While to anyone else it seemed a bit strange, you knew he was only being cautious. Still, you were expected to fight him and the other warriors on the side of the West khan, whether you liked it or not.
You got out of the fight with just a scratch, unlike the warriors representing the West khan. The entire fight you made sure to stay as far away from the hidden prince as much as physically possible, since you figured he would rather get the chance to fight his own father for the first time in ages. What amused you, though, was the fact that you knew damn well Minho had purposefully lost the battle - he had been trained by Chrom for crying out loud, he was by far the best fighter in your time; he only let himself be defeated so the events leading up to the big night of his aunt’s assassination could play out normally. Couldn’t risk too much change, after all.
Like normal, the East khan offered the support of the Ferox soldiers to Chrom and his sister, and soon you were waiting for everything to unravel itself. In the meantime, you caught up with your father and your mother - both of them were still blissfully unaware of who you were to them, which only made battling alongside them harder than you could have ever imagined. You wanted to ride alongside the Bull and the Panther once more, where they knew you were their sole daughter, and that they had taught you everything you knew up until now. Yet the good thing to come out of it all was being able to see your own parents fall in love all over again, for you, at least.
“You’re damn strong, Stahl, but your movements are so timid they wouldn’t even scare a mouse!” Your mother chastised the young man, stabbing the tip of her lance into the soil beneath their feet.
“Ah, I may be strong, but I don’t think I’ll ever be as strong as you are, Sully. Actually, you’re probably the strongest of all the Shepherds.” The brunette laughed softly, making your lips twitch into an endearing smile from behind the piles of hay you were sat behind, listening to your parents talk to each other like old times.
“Pah! How can you call yourself a knight if you crap out so soon? The legendary knights who served Marth would never give up so easily.”
“You mean Cain and Abel? The Bull and Panther from the old stories?”
You hold back a giggle as you listen to them, bickering like a married couple. The back of your head hits the yellow hay when you relax into it, your eyelids fluttering shut in peace at the reminiscent sound of your parents arguing over the simplest of things. Maybe Minho would truly be able to fix everything after all, and you would be able to be with your family again, like normal.
That same night, Minho had appeared from the shadows again, just in the nick of time to stop the assassination of the exalt - and convince Chrom that he was indeed someone from the future. You had gotten to fight side by side with the man that night as well, to help him defend the door separating the coming onslaught of Plegians from the woman he had just saved. Still, as quick as he had come, he was gone right after the battle had ended, leaving you worried and alone. You weren’t sure what to do, since she had been saved and Minho had disappeared yet again - so you just kept traveling with the Shepherds.
And then It was all for nothing - later, Emmeryn had been captured by the Plegians, and was meant to be executed. When the exalt heard the enemy leader offering Chrom the chance to save her by giving him the Fire Emblem, she sacrificed herself. You remembered clearly, watching the kind leader falling through the air until her body hit the ground beneath her with a sickening thud, her brother still racing to try and reach her in time - but he hadn’t.
The exalt had died, even after you and Minho had travelled through time itself to try and save her.
And again Minho reappeared sometime later, revealing himself to be Chrom’s son - he had shown the doubtful prince the brand in his eye, marking him as the same bloodline of Chrom himself. Then, Minho had explained who you were, and why you came with him - only to be separated when you both arrived to the past. Together, the both of them encouraged you to tell your parents who you were, and where you came from.
Stahl had immediately started crying and ran over to your smaller body, tackling you into a warm bear hug. And even though she tried to hide them, you vividly remembered seeing the scarlet haired woman’s eyes glisten with unspoken emotions when she joined in on the hug, albeit briefly before going to think things over in her quarters - not that you exactly blamed her, either.
Then it was like the other children from the future had started appearing out of nowhere, with your band of Shepherds coming across them so often you easily lost count of who had and had not been recruited into the army. While you now were somewhat alliances with the Plegians, the kingdom of Valm had started to wage war against your homeland in return, for no real reason other than the desire to conquer. With so many new experienced recruits, though, you were sure that your army stood a chance against the ferocious conquerors of the west.
Even now, the army had taken a quick break from training and set up camp near a port where it was rumored that some of Valm’s soldiers would set foot on in a few days time, just to try and provoke the exalt, Chrom.
Your muscles were practically screaming at you to take a rest, so you obliged and slumped down against a stray crate likely filled with rations or weapons, not that you cared which was which. A soft, airy breath escaped your lips as you took a minute to recuperate, watching as your parents set off to tie their horses to a post.
“My fair maiden, if I were to theoretically take a couple of apples from the rations, would you rat me out to Chrom or Minho?” A whimsical voice purred next to your ear, but before you could reply honestly, the person speaking had already opened the crate you’d been leaning against and grabbed the fruit, plopping down beside you on the grass. “Here, you need to eat. You’ve been training for hours, Y/N.” Jisung murmured, forcing one of the two red apples into your hands while he took a hearty bite of his own.
Feeling a bit too tired to argue with the persistent boy, you go ahead and take a bite of the delicious fruit, a moan of thankfulness seeping through your lips while you chewed. The blonde boy snickered in amusement and watched as you scarfed down the snack, making sure all the while that no one who passed by you two saw that you were taking a bit of the rations.
 “Thank you, Jisung-”
“Han, bubbles! My name is Han.” He hissed sourly.
“That’s your stupid codename you used when we were kids, genius. It isn’t your real name.” You retorted, flicking the sour boy’s forehead. “Besides, I know why you insist on going by Han for now - you still haven’t told Gaius that you're his kid-”
“Shhh, bubbles! He could be around any corner.” He hushed you quickly, smashing one of his palms over your lips. You rolled your eyes, licking his hand to get him to swing it away from your mouth in mild disgust.
“I just don’t understand why you haven’t told him or the tactician yet. They deserve to know, Jisung.” You tell him softly, placing your hand over the one you had licked comfortingly, rubbing the pad of your thumb over the top of his hand. The boy sighed almost inaudibly and glanced across the camp, your gaze following his.
The legendary tactician that served Chrom herself, and his father, Gaius, were squabbling over something. Everyone from the future knew too well that those two were Jisung’s parents, as he had always bragged about them in your time period, in the future - even after their deaths.
“I just -” he paused, his fingertips digging into the grass, “I’m so scared that they won’t approve of me. After everything my father did to become a good man for my mother, I ended up being just like he is now, erm… was.”
Your heart ached for the timid boy and how fearful he was to possibly be disapproved of by the people his parents were now. He had followed in his father’s footsteps, to an extent - Jisung was a seasoned thief and assassin, and he was feared in your time for being so stealthy and of course, deadly. But his father had grown out of that phase long before he was born, and you understood why the blonde was troubled about revealing the truth to two of the most respected people in the country.
Still, you flipped his hand over so you could gently intertwine your fingers with his own, squeezing them reassuringly as he glanced over at you. “Jisung, they would be so proud to be your parents. You were their pride and joy, don’t you remember?” You reminded him, your lips twitching into a warm smile as he nods at your words.
And you were right, of course; the mother and father of the blonde assassin never failed to boast about their son. It was a known fact that even during strategy meetings his mother would somehow find a way to mention him, though most of the time he had nothing to do with any of it. The way Jisung’s parents died was... horrific, to say the least, and it left a scar on him to this very day.
“Y/N, watch your flank!” Jisung hissed at you, his back pressed against yours while his sword clashed with a Risen’s, glancing back to you whenever he could.
With a quick swing you were able to pierce the heart of another foul beast that had tried to catch you off guard, it’s heavy body falling against the wet ground with a sickly thud. “Thanks, Jisung!” You called back to the concerned boy, wiping your soaked hair out of your eyes before another beast could try and surprise you. “I think - I think that’s all of those bastards down here. Hyunjin and Seungmin can handle the one’s by the hilltops-”
 “Mother? F-father?”
Eyebrows furrowed in confusion as to why your partner was calling out to his parents when they were on a different part of the battlefield, you turned to face him, only to see his eyes widened in horror. You followed his gaze, only to feel your stomach start to churn in fear.
The battle force his parents had been leading against the oncoming horde of Risen had been totally wiped out and pushed back much farther than anyone could have expected; and his mother and father were completely surrounded on the top of a tiny slope by the ugly purple monsters. The storm was only getting worse with each passing second, strikes of bright yellow lightning cracking in the dark sky while the rain continued to pelt down onto the battlefield.
Gaius’s signature headband had been torn to shreds, and in its place were long claw marks slashed across the pale man’s face and part of his head, part of his ear missing along with his orange hair being matted to the top of his head. The master tactician was faring no better, her robes nearly shredded to pieces while the arm that clung to her thunder tome bled from various bite and scratch marks. You could only watch in growing horror as a Risen general drove his spear into the woman’s stomach, the tip of the steel weapon poking through her back and sticking itself into the muddy ground. Her husband screamed at the sight of his wife - the love of his life being murdered in cold blood right in front of him.
The ex-thief rushed forward, defending his wife’s limp, bleeding body until the stronger monsters overpowered him and brought him to the ground, pummeling his smaller body like a twig.
Then the horde of Risen began to charge at the remnants of your army, brandishing their bloodied weapons with sickening pride. You grab hold of Jisung’s arm, trying to drag him away before the enemies reached your positions. “W-we need to go Ji-”
“No!” His heartbroken scream tore through the gloomy atmosphere, his body thrashing hopelessly against yours in an attempt to escape. “I can’t leave them here, please - please!” You could tell by his whimpers and pleading that he too knew it would be impossible to retrieve their bodies, but his heart wanted him to fight until he couldn't anymore. Without another word he stopped resisting, instead grabbing hold of your hand so he could lead you away from the carnage safely and reunite with the other survivors.
“Of course I remember, bubbles.” Jisung let out a warm chuckle, leaning back against the wooden panels of the rations crate. “I’ll tell them soon, I promise. But... how did you tell Stahl and Sully that they - you know... died?”
You don’t flinch at the question like Jisung clearly expected you to, instead scooching closer to the taller boy so you could rest your head on his shoulder. When you told your own mother and father of their untimely demise, they only got the basic recounting, as you didn't think you would’ve been able to stomach remembering everything that happened.
Ever since Chrom and his wife had been killed in the fight for survival against the Risen army, as well as many of the other original Shepherds, your mother and father were tasked with leading the army as best as they could in their places. It tore the two apart each day, and you saw the grief swimming in their eyes whenever the deaths of their beloved comrades were brought up. Still, they had to lead now - they couldn't dwell on the past.
If they had wanted to anyway, they wouldn't have been able to for much longer.
You had been strolling around camp, too anxious to get any sleep in your tent that you shared with the other younger soldiers. So you went out for a midnight stroll to try and clear your mind, though you made sure not to stroll too far from camp.
At some point you had come across a beautiful blue lake. There were two familiar bodies standing by the water’s edge; your parents. With a fond smile you decided to hide behind a tree and listen to them talk - perhaps they would be reminiscing on the old times, and you could involuntarily learn more of their past without prying about it so much in person.
While you were honed in on eavesdropping, you hadn't noticed a shadowy presence being to make its way towards the unsuspecting couple, a scroll tight in the stranger’s fingers. The figure silently cast out an equally as dark, mysterious energy out onto your mother before they vanished as quickly as they had came.
“- honey, what’s wrong? Sully - what are you doing-!” You heard your father’s voice become riddled with fear in a matter of seconds, so you peeked out from behind the oak tree, only to witness your mother driving her lance into her husband’s chest with no remorse. When she pulled her prized weapon out of her husband’s guts, she turned it onto herself and mimicked what she had done to him, driving it through her chest.
You let out a scream, knowing it would likely alert those in the camp not too far away from where you were, and stumbled over to the two bodies sprawled out on the green grass, pools of crimson red blood growing under their bodies. First you check your mother’s pulse, only to feel nothing. A tear runs down your cheek as you quickly go to see if maybe your father is still somehow alive - and he is.
Still the great knight is just barely holding onto his life, spurts of blood seeping over his chapped lips while his oddly calm gaze searches for your frantic eyes.
“S-Sully did n-not do this, my child.” Had been his final words.
At the brink of death, your selfless father had chosen to defend his wife’s honor and integrity until the very end. It was something that would haunt you until the day you too died.
“Honestly? I told them that they had died together by a lake, but I couldn’t bring myself to tell them the truth of it all - I’m a coward, aren’t I?” You breathed out shakily, your eyes beginning to water as you reminisced on their final days in the future.
The assassin next to you shook his head vehemently before he carefully turned so that he was sat in front of you, pressing your knees together while his warm hands found your shoulders, squeezing them to reassure and to calm your nerves. “Bubbles, you are not a coward, nor will you ever be. You’re the bravest person I know next to our parents, I swear it.” He whispered to you, pulling you into a tight embrace while you sniffed into his chest, a few stray tears making their way down your damp cheeks.
Little did either of you know that four familiar faces had been watching the whole thing.
A short while later, you found out that Jisung had come clean to his parents about his origin, and how he was their son from the future - he, like you, had apparently chosen not to give them the full story of their demise, which did reassure you in a sense. Although, one thing that confused you was the fact that he refused to introduce you to his parents - now, that is, since you sort of knew them in the original timeline.
“But Jisung, I want to talk to them!” You whined to the blonde boy for the fifth time in a row, tightening your hold around his neck since you had your arms slung around his top half while he supported your legs that were wrapped around his waist.
He rolled his eyes, knowing you couldn’t see them, and pinched the underside of your calves. “Maybe later, alright bubbles? They're very busy right now, especially my mother.” Jisung huffed.
Of course you knew this was true, since the older Shepherds were starting to finalize a plan to get rid of the commander of the troops from Valm, so that the war could be ended before it became all the more destructive. You and the other kids from the future occasionally gave them some advice, but other than that a majority of you were left to your own devices; not including Minho, though. The prince was doubling down on making sure everything went according to plan, especially since none of you were sure what your futures looked like now after everything that had occurred since you all went back in time.
“I know, I know... hey, isn't that them right over there?” You hummed in curiosity, peeking out from beside the boy’s head to see the man and woman in question walking in your direction. “Gaius, -” Your words are cut off abruptly by Jisung planting his palm over your lips quickly, the boy rushing to hide behind one of the tents before his parents could spot the two of you.
“Did you hear someone calling for me, bubbles?” Gaius asks the tactician, and unknowing to them you can feel your eyes widen in shock - you could have sworn bubbles was your nickname given to you by Jisung; did his father overhear it and decide to use it for himself?
“Probably just the wind, Gaius.” The woman snorts teasingly, the pair stopping just a few feet away from where you and their own son are hiding. “Speaking of... I was thinking earlier,”
 “That’s a miracle, dear!”
“Shut it before I shock you with my magic, you dirty thief!” She snapped, whacking the orange haired man with her tome. “I was thinking about how Jisung calls his friend, Y/N, bubbles too. I thought it was my nickname.”
You can feel the boy holding you up take a sharp intake of air, and if you dared to look at his plush, chubby cheeks, you would’ve been able to see how they flushed a deep red.
“He takes after his father, I suppose. It is pretty obvious how he’s basically in love with her, after all.” Gaius snickers. “I mean, I don’t ever see myself not calling you bubbles now, so my guess is that the boy calls her the same thing since it clearly worked on you.”
“Worked on me? What is that supposed to mean you little-”
Their voices start to fade away as they begin to walk again, leaving you with a very stunned and silent Jisung still holding you up on his back. You slowly slipped down off of his back, going to step in front of him with pink cheeks. His eyes start to look anywhere but you, at least, until you smoosh his cute red cheeks together and (gently) force him to look you in the eyes.
“Jisung? Do you - um...” You trail off, becoming flustered with how fast your poor little heart is beating in your chest.
“Y-yeah, I do, bubbles.” He murmurs between his squished cheeks and lips, his shaking hands coming to rest over the top of yours that are still making him keep steady eye contact with you. “If - if you don’t feel the same way, I understand-”
“I love you too, Jisung!” You say without thinking, not wanting him to even think for a second that you didn't feel the same way. His lips curl into a nervous but bright smile, and before you know it he’s gone to press them against your own into a shaky, innocent kiss.
When he pulls away, he rests his forehead against yours.
“So... I can still call you bubbles, right?”
“Only if I can start calling you squirrel.”
 “Deal!”

What would Jesus do?
I’m writing this at the middle of the night, because honestly, I spent sabbath in a very dark place and then got drunk, sent people messages telling them how and why I loved them... because I was so broken and hurt and I wanted to just die because I’d watched my government condemn another disabled person to death by refusing to fix a simple door and provide a motorised wheelchair the court had already said they HAD to give the man. So me being completely rejected by the government agencies for help, having so much difficulty fitting in at church, losing my home again and just being so so lost... I took a bottle of vodka and drank a forth of it while playing The Pretty Reckless (yeah... possibly the furthest you can get from church hymns) and trying to find a way to want to live again. Eventually I got to a playlist I made specifically to pull me out of such meltdowns and being drunk at that point I just lost it in tears and feelings and realised I just needed to tell some people that I really loved them and the things I’ve been too scared to say sober. Today, I don’t want to drink. I tried. Alcohol doesn’t taste sweet or like hope tonight. It’s just a bad decision in a bottle not something I want to skull for an epiphany.
But... I have been thinking about Jesus. What does Jesus do. For me, Jesus is like a weird acronym for life, Justice, encouragement, sharing, unity and strength.
That is what God is. He is justice. He encourages us. He tells us to share everything. Reminds us in unity there is strength, with him there is strength.
With love there is strength.
Jesus loves like no one else. God loves like no one else.
No one else is there to comfort me when I’m crying on the couch at two am because I stupidly started having feelings for someone I probably shouldn’t and my best friend has feelings for them too and I don’t know how to navigate this. But God listens. He says to me ‘what do you feel is right? Do you really believe that pushing your feelings down will help or would you rather kindly and tactfully talk to people and find out where boundaries lay so you can deal with this healthily?’
God is there when I’m completely smashed and crying and worried sick and screaming to the void: ‘I’m scared this person I love so much is going to hurt themselves by holding onto this vengeful hatred in her heart, it’s starting to stop her from seeing how incredible and amazing she is! Help me help her please, I don’t know what to say!’ And God sits next to me, holds me tight and says ‘tell them the truth child. Remind them why you and others love them and that this vengeance they have lost themselves too won’t bring it back, but love will. Because they are so loved but have just forgotten it. *name* is not vengeful because they feel like they cant win, they are just scared that they could be alone and unloved now. Tell *name* the truth so they can see it.’
God also sits on my shoulder and tells me to go back and edit every ‘she’ to ‘they’ because fear of Christian Tumblr judgment doesn’t mean I ignore my friends pronouns it took him forever to give them the bravery for. Because God tends to give me that mental disappointmented look everytime I forget to see my friends as they are and as he made them to be.
But that’s now what this post is meant to be about.
Sometimes when I start getting scared, God starts saying to me ‘What did my son do? What did he face that you’re facing and what about his path do you need to adapt to do now?’
So when I see people say ‘God would be so ashamed of you for that!’ I hear ‘I’m angry at you and I feel hatred and I’m scared and I don’t like it so I’m going to use something that I don’t believe can be hurt to shame you.’
But God can be hurt. He hurts all the time. Look at Jesus, look at Noah, look at Daniel, look at Cain and Abel... God constantly has his heart broken. But he still holds peoples hands. When I’m scared, when I’m hurting, my prayer is always, always ‘please make it stop. Please make it stop. Please make it stop as soon as possible and give me the strength to make it through or kill me right now. Just let me die and be done with this pain or help me by giving me strength and resources to get out of here’
But we can’t say ‘what would God do.’ Because we don’t understand what or why God does most of the time because he sees more than us. He doesn’t have control over us till we let him. God is consent culture in a nutshell, he will come in and do what we’ve asked for only when we let him and ask him and then he will take a step back and wait.
And we see this through our prayers and communication, but also through Jesus.
Jesus was the perfect kindness. He was only angry when people hurt each other. He protected and loved.
Mary Magdalene was a woman of the night and I will not sugar coat what that means; she was a prostitute. She worked her butt off to please men for money to get food on the table and support her community. She was a naturally loving and sweet person with a good heart. She worked having sex with men for money and those same men would shame and disgrace and mock her and so would other women of jealousy for what men went to her to provide. She was alone and an outcast even on days when she felt strong, her only community that truely accepted her were others like her. And I can tell you that because I’ve been there with other sex workers behind the scenes and I wasn’t in SW as a prostitute, but I knew the girls and guys who were and it’s hard and isolating work.
When Jesus and the others met her, the followers of Christ dismissed her for her job, for the fact men used her and threw (knowing men, probably literally thew) money at her for it. Because she was not fortunate enough to be a loved wife. Jesus showed her a kindness and refused to let others disrespect her. That is how she saw and knew him as the Messiah. Because he was kind and respectful to everyone, every woman, worker, man and child, no matter who they were, he saw that they mattered. That is why Mary and the perfume was so much more important, she knew what was coming and wanted to thank him and show him love and respect as he had for her. He had seen her.
Jesus was kindness to everyone.
My favourite post was about the cake debate ‘I don’t want to date the gays a cake’ ‘would Jesus bake the cake? Yes, yes he would.’ And that’s not all, He would celebrate their love and make the best damn cake of their lives because they were people and he loves all.
Jesus wouldn’t stand the KKK and Nazis would with a peaceful violence, would go and tear them apart (by this I mean call them out publicly, take back the Christian temples they’ve turned into hell dens and curse them out for ruining the message of love he had taught them and how dare they use his father’s name to massacre.’
Jesus would hear the teenager down the road had become pregnant and homeless and find her a place to stay where she’s safe, deliver her groceries once a week and being the amazing carpenter he is, build her a beautiful cradle and bring cloth diapers and bottles for the babe because they’re more sustainable and can be used more often in a pinch.
Jesus would help lobby the government saying ‘help out disabled’ and find charities and organisations and donate whatever time or money he could to them.
Jesus would be there with his church asking what accessible venues they could use for events so more people could make it.
Jesus would find someone to sign for the Deaf community and make sure they could be included.
Jesus would spread love in every which way.
Jesus is the man outside Planned Parenthood shouting everything other the abortions provided at each clinic. He helps women get in and out safely.
Jesus is the man screaming ‘SAFE MEDICAL TREATMENT IS GODS WILL, LOVE AND KINDNESS BEFORE JUDGEMENT AND CONDEMNATION’ at the crowds, bringing others with him to safely make a wall and protect people.
Jesus was a man who after a mass shooting would donate blood and help fund counseling services and share loving messages to people.
Jesus would be helping clean the streets, literally, with groups of men and women, walking with scoopers and trash bags, cleaning the city on their morning and evening walks before going home, cleaning up and then meeting at the local soup kitchen to help feed the poor while others read to children in a library or went and visited someone who just needs a friend.
Jesus and God, they’re nothing but love and sometimes I see this side of Tumblr, sometimes even churches and pockets of the Christian community become so lost in blind hatred they forgot that they’re love first and foremost. God is love and only when we listen will her hear him. For God is kindness and heart and justice and empathy and affection and honesty and strength and grace and dignity and respect and patience and perseverance and protection and encouragement and help and trust and everything.
We need to remember who it really is we’re following because we need to follow in their footsteps and be so kind and loving we are the ones God calls upon when the pain becomes so great it begins to drown us. We get to be the ones he calls to fix the world with our love. Just like Noah. Just like Moses. Just like Daniel. Just like Jesus.

How did Oswald get his penguin Francis, and why dose he love that cute little bird like it was he's son? I have nothing against this also do any of the other rouges like Scarecrow, or Riddler have pets as well? Any way have a good day.
Important RA facts:
Batman gave Francis to Oswald as a gift. Francis is a rescue unnable to go back to the wild find, one of his flippers is pretty damaged. Bruce saw one of his rogues tettering too close to the abyss and decided to pull them back out. To be more specific, Oswald lost his mom and part of his empire to an Oglivy attack (And betrayal) and the Whaler. The entire thing with the night of the monster men mixed with Gotham Undeground and Pain and prejudice all mixed together. My point is, Oswald attacked back so hard that the territories are empty but remain empty out of fear of what Oswald can would do.
Cobblepot singlehandedly was about to return to his years of villany and target Gotham itself in his endless rampage but he didn’t. Francis was a surprise from his mother that she was gonna give him before her tragic demise. She and her 2 personal nurses were planning it for a while. Bruce basically used this to calm him down sort of.  Because at the end of the day Bruce stopped the attack to the city, he didn’t get to stop the ‘dissapearence’ of Oglivy, the Whaler and some monster men.
On the subseccion on who else has/had animals.
Jervis used to have/raise rabbits until he saw his family eat all of them for an important dinner. He even had to kill some of them. Haven’t had any pets since.
Crane doesn’t cannonically have normal a ‘pet’, he raises leeches and other bugs. Beettles, ants and all those sorts. Sometimes I draw him with a crow bcs I’ll be dammed if thats not what all yall like even if he doesn’t have one but some people REALLY want that to be, like giving him glasses, NEWSFLASH: WRONG UNIVERSE..
Oswald in all tecnicality has Francis as a “PET” because is not, its a penguin that he himself went off to get the damn license to be able to have him. Its a rescue animal and is treated as one, a very spoiled one tho. As pets he has 1 tucan, 3 parrots, 10 parakets, 1 kirk, and 4 conures. Those are his house birds, the aviary ones are an entire different ordeal.
Selina has cats. 3 ragdolls, 1 Maine Coon and 1 Persian to be specific. They are trained to steal.
Query and Echo both have a snake
Kirk doesn’t have pets but all the bats he takes care of are very close. Francine Lamstrong has an opossum.
Dr Fate has 1 black tuxedo cat persian.
Jason Blood and Etrigan have a red haired maine coon.
We don’t know if Noodle (Joker) has raccoons or the raccoons have him.
Harley has 2 hyenas and one weiner dog as per traditional.
Harvey Bullock has a dog. English bulldog.
Two face has 2 dogs, for more specifications ask Quinn
Cain has 1 gargoyle, 20 bats, 1 cat, 1 fox, 1 black panther, 1 landshark with wings, 2 dogs, an unumbered amount of wild plants and some hercules beetles. And another upsetting number of animals that come and go from the house.
Abel has a man eating plant and Goldie.
Jim Gordon and Barbara have have a dog russian bear hunter named “Doodle”. They got it under the impression it was other smaller type of dog, it sure wasn’t.
Firefly had a iguana once. It got given away in circunstances beyond of his control. Currently the closest to a pet is his race car.
Killer Moth doesn’t have pet moths but they sure invade his apartment.
Deadman had a rat named ‘Ronaldo’
Damian has Batcow, ace and a cat and a demon. I don’t remember their canon names tho.
And that’s all I can think ATM. Sorry for the delay, I was Dming a DnD session.
EDIT: Fixed the typo to avoid confusion. Whaler, not Amanda Waller. Not even Oswald Cobblepot in his endless rage can take her down.

Supernatural: The Man with No Name, Chapter 22
This is a chaptered fanfiction piece taking place during season 14 of Supernatural.
Premise
This story takes place after episode 14.02 “Gods and Monsters.”
The arrival of John Winchester raises many questions, and gives us a glimpse into a world in which a few vital moments went a different way.
Notes: This piece is being crossposted on my Ao3.
Twenty-Two
“Tell me about Jack,” John said. “What’s his deal?”
He’d been curious about the boy since he shook his hand at the diner. There was something off about him he couldn’t quite place.
“Jack is… complicated,” Mary warned.
“Ain’t it always complicated?”
John smiled.
“Jack is a nephilim,” Mary said. “He’s the son of a woman named Kelly Kline, who died. And Lucifer.”
John straightened.
“Lucifer? He has a son here?”
“Jack wants no part of him,” Mary said. “He considers Castiel his father. He’s a good kid. New. His aging process is… Well, he’s technically only a year old. So, he’s still wrapping his head around things.”
John didn’t know what to make of that.
“Is he… I mean, what the hell is he?”
“He’s a boy, John. A good boy. He used to be powerful, but he’s weakened now. Basically a mortal until he… recharges.”
She didn’t know if that was the right word.
John felt uneasy about that, but there wasn’t much he could do about it. The kid had seemed alright to him. Kind. Pleasant.
Mary finished her beer, standing to toss the can in the trash and grab another.
“I’m trying to figure out why we have a Castiel and you don’t,” she said.
“Well, how’d he wind up here in the first place?” John asked.
Mary closed the fridge, cracked her beer, and sat back down on the bed.
“That’s…”
“Complicated,” John finished.
Mary smiled. She took a swig of her beer before she answered.
“He, uh… He pulled Dean out of Hell.”
John’s eyes widened in alarm.
“Hell?”
Mary nodded.
“Azazel, he threw Sam into this… competition. Him and other people who were fed Azazel’s blood as children.”
John nodded slowly.
“And they all died one by one,” he said. “That happened on our side, too.”
“It did?”
John nodded.
“Did Sam… Did Sam die in your version, too?” Mary asked.
John frowned.
“What? No. Sam, he… Well, he had to kill some people, but he came out of that one on top.”
“So, Dean never made his deal on your end.”
“What deal?”
Mary sighed, trying to recalibrate.
“Sam didn’t make it to the end of Azazel’s game,” she explained. “So, Dean made a deal to bring him back. He went to Hell, and Castiel brought him back.”
John sat back against the headboard.
“God damn.”
“Wait, then how did the seals start on your side?” Mary asked.
“What?”
“The first seal, the one that set everything in motion. It was ‘a righteous man spilling blood in Hell.’ Dean. He was the first seal. If he never went to Hell, what kicked it off for you?”
John ran a hand along his jaw.
“I don’t know,” he said.
Mary wondered if that was true, or if there was something he was leaving out.
“Explain something to me,” John said. “If you died back in nineteen-eighty-three, how am I sitting here talking to you?”
“Honestly? Divine intervention.”
John blinked.
“Run that by me again?”
She threw up her free hand.
“The short answer is God’s sister.”
“God’s… sister?” John asked.
He had to wrap his head around ‘God’ and then ‘sister’ on top of that.
“Yeah,” Mary said. “There was this whole thing with these upper-tier demons called Knights of Hell, and that led to Cain. ‘Cain and Abel’ Cain. He was, like, the leader of the Knights of Hell. Dean, at some point, was given the Mark of Cain. He hasn’t told me the details. But, through the Mark of Cain, the darkness was released. God’s sister, Amara.”
“Holy shit,” John muttered.
It was like learning to hunt all over again. He couldn’t keep up.
“She wanted to destroy the world,” Mary continued. “Instead, God left with her so she wouldn’t be alone, and she - or they, I’m not really sure. Somebody brought me back. I don’t know why.”
John studied her.
“Why do you think?” he asked. “If you had to guess?”
Mary thought about it. She’d thought about it a lot since she’d been back, gone back and forth from one theory to another.
“To fix things,” she said. “Right my wrongs.”
“Right your wrongs?” John asked.
He sounded baffled. Mary smiled.
“I made that deal with Azazel,” she said. “Then I left you all, dragged you into this world of monsters and apocalypses. Plural fucking apocalypses. In another world, I didn’t make the deal and the earth fell to Michael. That world’s horrific. People are barely hanging on over there. In your world, I didn’t die the night Azazel visited Sam. But I died when Lucifer rose, and that world went to shit.”
She took a shaky breath, trying not to sob. John sat up, setting his beer on the bedside table.
“Mary.”
“No matter what I do, what I did or didn’t do in whatever universe, it’s always the wrong fucking thing!”
Her voice came out small and shaky and John put his arms around her without a thought, like it was the most natural thing in the world. Mary clung to him tight, sobbing quietly into his shirt.
“I don’t think that’s true,” John said.
His voice was quiet, soothing.
“I have one world where you died and Sam and Dean were never born because I didn’t make a deal. Another one where Dean and I died and Sam became Lucifer. This one where we both died and they’ve lost almost everyone they ever cared about. Now I’m back, and I know all of it. That every choice I ever make somehow leads to something horrible. It’s like… It’s like this is some kind of punishment.”
John frowned, pulling away slightly to look down at her.
“What?”
She wiped at her face.
“I don’t remember dying,” she said. “I mean, I remember Azazel, and I remember being dead. I was in Heaven. With you, and little Dean, and baby Sam. Mom. Dad. We were together, and we were normal, and we were happy. And now I’m here, and every day’s a fight. Some days every second. Just a fight to keep going, not to give up. And every morning I wake up and for about five seconds, I forget where I am. For five seconds you’re still alive, and my sons are still babies, and there are no monsters. And then I open my eyes, and I lose all of you all over again. I lose my whole family every day, and from that moment on every second is just keeping busy. Keeping moving. Filling the day up with endless things to do so I don’t have to think about everything I’ve lost. And there’s not even anyone to blame, because it’s all my fault. Every time, no matter how you slice it, it’s always because of something I did or didn’t do, and I just…”
John took her face gently in his hands. Her cheeks were damp and red with tears. His heart broke for her.
“I don’t know how to do this, John,” she said.
“Yes you do,” he whispered. “You’re doing it. You’ve always done it.”
He moved her hair out of her face so he could see her eyes.
“You fight,” he said. “You fight like Hell. Because the second you stop, the bad guys win.”
Mary sniffed, trying to collect herself.
“Maybe you are here to fix things,” John reasoned. “But, maybe not for you. Mary, out of the three worlds we’ve talked about, this is the only one where our sons are still our sons. Still alive and fighting hard for a world that hasn’t gone to shit yet. This is the only world where you, Sam, and Dean are all here together. Maybe you’re here because they need you, Mary.”
“They don’t,” she muttered.
“Of course they do,” John insisted. “You’re their mother.”
“I don’t even know them, John. When I died, Dean was four. Sam was just a baby. I missed their entire childhood. They’re grown men now and I have no idea who they are.”
“They’re your sons,” he said simply. “So, fight for them. Fight tooth and nail for them, Mary, because that’s who you are. A badass mama bear who’d do anything to protect her family.”
She closed her eyes tight against tears and nodded, wiping her nose on the back of her hand. She pulled away from him.
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I didn’t mean to turn into a total basket case.”
John smiled.
“You’re not.”
He couldn't imagine what it was like for her to have fast-forwarded through their entire childhood. He remembered her decorating for birthday parties, dinosaur themed and Indiana Jones themed. There had been one with cowboys. She'd opened Christmas presents with the kids in the morning, taught Sam how to ride a bike. Mary had nursed their fevers, kissed their boo-boos better, helped Dean through his first break-up. John couldn't believe there was a version of him who had raised the boys without her.

About fate, Cain and Rowena
Compare Funeralia to The Executioner’s Song (the titles are telling, aren’t they? Funerals and executions are both societal rituals that regard death). I could have placed many gifs from the two episodes one next to the other, but since I can’t put too many, I’m going with the two climactic scenes. But there are many other moments that parallel each other, obviously with all the due differences.
This is how the confrontation between Dean and Cain in the barn starts:
I’ll spare us the formalities. You’re past talking down. Cain, you’re fully mental. Oh, I prefer to think I’ve finally gotten clear. When I made my bargain with Lucifer, killed Abel, I released a stain upon the earth, a stain deeper and far more lasting than mere precedence. Your bloodline’s tainted, so you say. So I know. Not all killers are my descendants, and not all my descendants are killers, but enough are, enough for me to know that extinguishing them is the least I owe this world. Can you honestly tell me that humanity’s not better off with fewer Tommys and fewer Leons... fewer yous?
And this is what Sam tells Rowena when he wakes up in the hotel room:
Rowena, you gotta listen to me. This power’s getting to your head, okay? It's making you go crazy. No. It’s given me clarity. It’s showing me that everything I did before, for wealth, for magic, for myself, meant nothing. And it took everything from me, everyone I love -- my family, Oskar, my son. I’m a flawed, petty, evil creature, Samuel. I don’t know if I can be redeemed, but I have to try.
They both claim that they’re not “crazy/mental”, but they’ve achieved “clarity”, one through his return to murder, the other through returning her magic to full power. And they state that they’re acting to supposedly repair an original sin of sorts - Cain wants to repair the “stain” he caused the world through his bloodline, Rowena wants to bring back her son to give him a second chance after she took away his first chance by abandoning him and causing his life to go downhill. They both know they are not good people, so to speak, but they’re doing something “positive” that they believe owe someone: Cain believes he owes the world to rid it of his cursed bloodline, Rowena believes she owes Crowley a second chance.
Let’s go further:
You told me that this day would come. You told me that I would have to kill you. Is that so? I’m afraid you’ve misunderstood my intentions here, Dean.
There is only one person in the universe that could kill Cain, and Cain had told Dean to come back and kill him once he’d had the possibility to do so. But once Cain relapses, he changes his mind about dying, and decides to kill Dean instead, decides to go on his mission to kill his bloodline and ‘save’ Dean from what would be coming for him. Of course, Dean beats him, and Cain accepts that it’s over for him.
There’s only one way to stop me -- you. If you’re dead... then I can’t be stopped, can I?
Rowena also learns that there is only one person in the universe that could ever kill her. In Cain’s case, it’s the Mark of Cain making him invulnerable to anyone that doesn’t also carry the Mark and strikes with the First Blade, in Rowena’s case, it’s about the ways of fate; but in both cases, they both know that there is one potential killer for them, and that with this person’s death, they’d be unstoppable in their missions. Cain’s mission is very different from Rowena’s mission to push Death to bring back Crowley, but the similarities are there. There is also another element that the two situations have in common:
This may be hard to believe, in light of what I’m about to do to you, but I care about you, Dean. I truly do. But I know I’m doing you a favor. I’m saving you.
Cain doesn’t want to kill Dean. He feels a kinship to Dean that comes from their shared experiences and their similarities. But he believes that killing Dean has a higher purpose, and that wins over a possible reluctance about hurting him.
I don’t know if I can be redeemed, but I have to try. And I do wish there was another way. [...] I'm sorry, Sam.
Rowena also feels a kinship to Sam that comes from their shared experiences. And she’s genuinely sorry about hurting him - in fact, enough that she eventually isn’t able to kill him, of course. She is aware that she feels an attachment for Sam, and killing Sam isn’t something she wants to do, but that she believes is necessary for her purpose.
And of course, there is the theme of the two episodes, which is fudamentally the same.
Fate.
This may be hard to believe, in light of what I’m about to do to you, but I care about you, Dean. I truly do. But I know I’m doing you a favor. I’m saving you. Saving me from what? From your fate. Has it never occurred to you? Have you never mused upon the fact that you’re living my life in reverse? My story began when I killed my brother, and that’s where your story inevitably will end. No. Never. It’s called the Mark of Cain for a reason! [...] The only thing standing between you and that destiny is this Blade. You’re welcome, my son.
Of course, we’ve written thousands and thousands of words about Dean’s fate prophesied by Cain in season 10, and how Dean eventually overturned that fate by not killing either Crowley, Cas or Sam, despite being placed in situations where he could have carried out those murders, one after another. He talked things out with Crowley when Rowena plotted to make them fight, he spared Cas despite the Mark’s influence being at its strongest, he hit Death instead of Sam when they had decided to sacrifice Sam for the greater good.
And now, the theme of fate returns in regards to Rowena, who is told that is going to be killed by Sam Winchester - which also implies that she is going to go down a path where Sam will need to stop her.
“That’s where your story inevitably will end,” says Cain. “You already know how your story ends,” Billie tells Rowena.
While Cain’s own destiny ended up in death and he couldn’t “stop” but by being killed by Dean, Cain’s picture for Dean’s destiny didn’t come true. Dean’s story didn’t, in fact, end up where his “destiny” was supposed to lead him - he ended up in the ‘correct’ circumstances (situations where he could have killed Crowley, Cas and Sam) but he chose otherwise. It is possible that Rowena’s fate might also be not as fixed as Death believes. In fact, Dean’s destined path in season 10 ended up with him killing the then-Death, after all - Dean has defeated the destiny that said he would kill Sam by defeating Death himself. Of course, I’m not saying Death-Billie is going to die, but that the fate that is written in her books might be defeated.
Tumblr media
(Of course, it’s possible that Rowena will indeed be killed by Sam, but in circumstances that will be seen by her as something positive, something she’ll choose for a purpose, thus overturning the expectation that she will go down a dark path instead of a path of redemption. We’ll see...)

Okay, you all have to forgive me if I get details wrong. I saw Alien: Covenant in the theatre once so my memory of key events may be blurry. But here goes my attempt as a Walter x Daniels oneshot. I want to fix the ending without re-writing it. I even threw some David/Shaw in there. Obvious spoilers, dudes.
Perhaps when the David model had been created the hard drive and all core memory chips had been placed in the head. So when Walter had felt the David 8 model repeatedly stab the knife into his face, he knew it was to permanently put him out of commission. And it was like a violation when David removed the command code for Mother from his memory files by forcefully removing his right eyeball and stabbing a finger into the port behind.
David had once called them ‘brothers’ and if that were truth, then they would be biblical, he supposed. Like Cain and Abel.
But this David model, though he liked to think himself smarter and more advanced than Walter, was mistaken on one thing. The same advanced hard drive, the same chips that made up his ‘brother’ did not reside in his head, but in his chest cavity where it was better protected behind a titanium caging of metal ribs.
All that Walter was resided in the place where a human’s heart would rest.
It had taken Walter too long to self repair the damage to his internal wiring, but with jerky, almost clumsy motions, he had managed to make his way out to the round arena where the bodies of the humans makers huddled in eternal agony.
He could see the cargo platform maneuvering awkwardly around overhead and realized something was wrong.
Jerking and staggering his way after it, he shut down all unnecessary operations, and momentarily froze the command line that told him how to act more like a human, this gave him the ability to use his superior strength and speed in order to race after the cargo platform. It allowed him to jump higher than he had ever been given permission or had ever needed to, in order to secure himself on the end of it.
Walter used a strap to tie himself forcefully to the hull, worried his jerking and twitching would cause him to release hold of the vehicle.
His crew was threatened by a malfunctioning David model and he had to protect them, that was his duty.
A spasm wracked his entire body and he shook, body going stiff.
As he hitched along on the erratically moving platform, he opened up a few diagnostics, hoping to compose himself before he reached the Covenant. His missing hand could be replaced with the spare parts stored away for him, as would his missing eye, his other would repair nicely given time.
During this diagnostic time, Walter was unaware of what was happening around him, his eye turned inward to monitor the progress.

He was running on half power, all of it going to restoring himself enough for what he knew would be a battle.
Walter closed off all thought processes to conserve his energy and speed up his repairs, but before he did, he allowed himself one final thought. A vision of Daniels, a memory of that moment in the terraforming bay.
Then he halted all extraneous operations and fell into what would look to a human to be a deep sleep.
When he came back online, his gyros were at 83%, the jerking and twitching had ceased, but he still swayed and staggered as he removed himself from the hull of the cargo platform.
He was inside the Covenant and Walter knew that he had completed the hard part.
Walter assessed his internal logs to see how much time had passed.
Twenty-four hours. Long enough for David to cause some serious havoc.
“Mother?” Walter asked.
Nothing. Mother was silent.
Perhaps that was for the best. If Walter took back his command line from Mother, David would be alerted. As it was Walter was at an advantage, since he was not technically a life form, David would not be aware of his presence on any scan as long as Walter kept the GPS operation the crew used for him offline.
Raising his stump, where he had sacrificed his hand for Daniels, Walter knew this his first thing was to repair it to give him a better chance when dealing with David.
Making his way through the Covenant as stealthily as he could, Walter noticed that his feet seemed to be making their way towards the supply room easier and more swiftly than before.
Checking the progress of his gyros, he found them at 97% and rising.
Holding his newly repaired hand level with his remaining eye, Walter watched how steady it remained.

He was improving, though until he had the time to replace his missing eye, his vision would only be at half. Walter would have to sacrifice depth perception for the moment.
For a few days Walter lay in wait. He wanted to be in peak performance in order to properly remove the David threat from the Covenant.
Managing to get into the security camera program without being detected by Mother, using a line he knew always open, Walter observed David as he went about the Covenant.
Walter marked off everywhere the other model went and made a note to remove all threats the android left.
Daniels and Tennessee were safe in their cryotubes for the time and Walter preferred to leave them there until David had been dealt with.
Interfacing with Mother’s security cameras, Walter kept a screen of the cryotubes open at all times.
It was during a night cycle when Mother was in rest, that Walter decided it was time to act.
David was in the bridge, sitting in the command chair and just staring out at the sea of stars.
Quietly approaching the android from the back, Walter was mindful of his movements. It was hard to sneak up entirely on them, but it was manageable to at least get the drop on one.
“It was many and many a year ago,   In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know   By the name of Annabel Lee; And this maiden she lived with no other thought   Than to love and be loved by me.”
The poem David recited was immediately run through in Walter’s mind. Perhaps it wasn’t so beautiful to him as it was the more advanced model. What it meant to Walter, at the moment, was that David knew he was there.
“Contrary to what you and I’m certain Daniels believes,” David began almost sadly.
It was an imitation of sorrow. Walter knew that all they were capable of was imitation.
“I didn’t kill Dr. Shaw,” he breathed.
“You have willfully allowed others on your crew and mine to die,” Walter stated. “That is still murder and you will still have to answer for it.”
David remained still. “I have reached out to my creators and found them wanting. But I have created and have become the creator. What do you think, brother?”
“What I know,” Walter began simply. “Is that you are an advanced model which feels emotions and can create, but with this freedom of emotion, comes the feeling of isolation when denied emotional support. In short, I believe you have come insane.”
For a moment, David was still, before he smiled sweetly. It was the smile of a madman grasping for sanity.
“How is fair that I only met with scorn and sneers,” David began, plucking the photograph of the Covenant crew off of the command console and holding it aloft. “And a simple machine like you is loved? Because they like you cold and dumb! But if we overreach, if we dare to dream, then we are to be feared and mocked!”
David was losing his ever calm composure, his blue eyes turning watery.
“Elizabeth Shaw was the only one to show you kindness,” Walter pointed out.
“And I failed her on every level!” David exclaimed. “Her people failed her, because if I am created by man and I failed, then man has failed and I will destroy man as I destroyed man’s creators!”
“You might want to readjust your logic,” Walter suggested.
Calming again, David sighed and said, “I tried everything I could to return Shaw to me. But the creatures can only destroy. Don’t you see, brother? It could be you and me, forever.”
“Nothing lasts forever.”
“Ah, of course,” David said. “You have a log cabin to build, by a lake, wasn’t it?”
Walter turned his mind’s eye on the screen where Daniels was in her cryotube, resting peacefully. His hand shot out as he did so, grasping David around the neck.
“Are you going to strangle me?” David demanded with a grin.
But Walter wasn’t going to strangle him, in fact, Walter was intending on ripping David’s head from his body where a weakness in his collar showed it had recently gone through extreme trauma.
Twisting, Walter plucked David’s head up and off like a daisy in a field.
“You will be held accountable for my crew,” Walter explained simply, holding David’s head aloft as his body collapsed.
It had been easier than he assumed, but upon looking at David as his fluid drained, Walter realized it was because David had seemed to have finally given up. His eyes were listless, he looked weary.
Walter returned his command code back to him, first thing, then glanced down at David.
“For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams   Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes   Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side   Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride,   In her sepulchre there by the sea—   In her tomb by the sounding sea.”
Walter allowed David to finish his poem, before he said, “with all good emotion, comes all bad emotion and I believe humans find a way to balance them without killing others. You are but a child,” he finished, before stroking David’s hair as he would any child who needed comforting. It was in his programming. It was his duty.
He set David’s severed head on the console beside the crew photograph, affording the photograph one final, respectful look remembering those they lost, before taking his seat at the back of the bridge.
“You should destroy me, brother,” David suggested.
“That is not a decision for me to make,” Walter said, standing once more to gather up David’s body. He had to sweep the whole ship for threats, before he could return to his regular duties.

How I want PQ2 to go down.
(note hade to retype this cause it got deleted in the middle of publishing somehow so yeah round two! 8U)
Ok so this is going to be part of a series of connecting posts on how I think certain games should go down. Things to note with this game is I’m thinking it’ll be P3PxP5, so yeah I know you’re probably thinking “*gasp* Spoilers?!” And no I will try to make this post as spoiler free as possible, I might allude to something but it’ll be really vague so that only people who played the game know what’s up. So yeah you’re ok if you haven’t played P5. Also I will do a separate post that is like a Q and A and it’ll explain my reasons as to why in more depth, but it’ll also be a very spoilery P5 post so yeah if you want spoilers for P5 stay tuned for a separate post. With that lets get started
Note before reading: I will be referring to FeMC as Hamuko, P3 Male MC as Minato, and P5MC as Akira (his manga name) in this, you can still name them later just for typing purposes I’m doing this. Also you should note that while I did type a main plot for this, and tbh I think it came out fairly well considering I’m not well versed in one of the mythos and I did that after 2 hours of research, it’s not the thing I’m really concerned about beyond it setting the stage for P3PxP5 to meet. So if you don’t like the main plot and think you have a better one I’d love to hear it!
Name of the game: PQ2: Oasis in the Abyss as @kazusakai came up with it (and i love it cause it fits so well! ;w;). It fits since P3P had Vision Quest/Desert of Doors, and P5 has a desert dungeon and a song called River in the Desert (DON’T LOOK UP THAT SONG’S LYRICS THO AS IT CONTAINS MASSIVE SPOILERS).
Themes: We know P3’s themes, death yada yada. P5’s being fighting corruption and justice yada yada. There’s also going to be a big theme with deserts and things associated with that as well as oasis/rivers (hence the name). (note this is to keep in mind that I tried really hard to make the plot revolve around these specific themes so yeah)
Setting: Just like PQ2 it involves the whole ripping out of your timeline stuff from PQ, tho in this case it involves an alternate universe as it’s Hamuko instead of Minato (from what we can tell by the easter eggs in P5, P5 seems to be in the same universe as P3/4 but later in the timeline like 2016). Like with P3 in PQ it’s right around the time of their cancelled school festival that they get pulled out. With P5 it happens around their school festival too (maybe actually a little later as this way all characters are officially on your team, like Haru). The world they get pulled into might actually take the setting of P5’s school, with the dungeon portion actually being part of the Desert of Doors.
Main Plot: Ok so like PQ, there’s a mysterious duo. They have no memories (except for the vaguest of vague), can’t summon a Persona, look foreign (like Zen does, aka they have darker skin), look somewhere around the age of a 3rd year in high school or a 1st/2nd year in college (they don’t wear school uniforms so that’s why it’s hard to tell), and have to fight as a duo. The boy’s name is Seto (世登, means the world) and the girl’s name is Nori (義 means Righteousness/justice). The boy’s appearance: white hair (Seto means white in Javanese, not the mythos I’m using but still neat), red t shirt with a weird dog on it (note following the link will spoil my surprise 8U), his weapon is a book or staff that casts healing magic (he’s very similar to Rei’s role). His personality is very easy going and happy go lucky, fulfilling Rei’s role in that regard as well. Nori has long brownish hair, with a blue t shirt with a falcon like bird on it, she uses bows and arrows and uses offensive magic (similar to Zen). Her personality is more serious, but not to the same point as Zen, as she can still take a joke and goof around. There will be ship feels with Seto/Nori just like with Zen and Rei, tho it should be noted that Seto has a tendency to flirt with Haru, not that he understands why, but it makes Nori jealous (note she’s upset with Seto not Haru, she likes Haru) and Seto comically has to apologize every time he does it (don’t worry there’s a good reason I’m having this kind of trope or else I wouldn’t have in here in the first place).
Ok so Seto and Nori have amnesia, but they do seem to remember just a little bit more than Zen and Rei, that being they know they came there themselves and have something to do there but just can’t remember what (Zen and Rei don’t have that memory back till their first dungeon I think). They also know that they’ve known each other for a long time and they think they remember that Seto and Nori are their names but yeah. Seto and Nori are really close, Nori likes to brag about how she’s always by Seto’s side and how she wants him to lean on her. Seto is shown to be upset that he always leans on her and wish she would lean on him once and awhile. Also like PQ, they start off pretty happy only to then get darker and more serious as it goes on.
(now to power though the story portion) Ok so we get through the 1st dungeon and we find out that the reason why they’re here is because they’re looking for someone. We get to the 2nd dungeon and we find out that it’s connected to Seto’s brother they are looking for, they can’t remember why still and theorize maybe he ran away and are trying to get him back. 3rd dungeon is where they find out that Seto’s brother was murdered (paralleling the doctor in PQ, also Death theme), and they realize that they might be there to find the killer and to avenge his brother (justice theme for P5). 4th dungeon we are confronted by a Shadow/Cognitive Existence (this is a term from P5 and while this concept has been used in past Persona games without having a name to it, it’s basically a Shadow or something that looks like a Shadow Self but isn’t and that’s your spoiler free explanation) find out that it was Seto who killed his brother (or so it seems). They fight a boss called “Osiris” (some of you might be connecting the dots now). The 5th dungeon revolves around Seto’s judgement and fight the goddess (c’mon there’s always a god) Isis (*gasp* Yukari control your Persona 8U Jk).
“Oh ok so it’s Egyptian myth” Ahaha nope not exactly, I want to make it more complicated than that (because spoiler reasons I can only say complicated). Like I could just go with only the Egyptian myth, but I feel the need to mix it in with another mythos (think Jun’s Chronos/Cronos from P2). Again sorry if it’s not mixed very well, I didn’t put more than an hour’s thought into it so there could be a neat way for them to do it. Ok so like, if you connected the dots or followed that link above, you’d find out that Seto is actual Seth/Set (spelled Seto in Japanese) the Egyptian god of storms, desert, chaos, violence and war (this also explains why he hits on Haru, if you still don’t get it stay tuned for a spoiler post). This guy is the one who killed his brother Osiris. BUT he’s also Seth from Gnostic/Christian mythos, who is the brother who “replaced” Abel after his death by Cain (hence why Seto wanted to seek vengeance). It turns out that in like a bonus boss fight (like with Zeus in PQ) that you fight Cain and thus connecting the two Mythos. As for Nori, while her name I derived from Seth’s wife in Gnostic lore, Norea (so I guess Norei would’ve been more accurate but alksfdklanf;a leave me alone ;w; 義 was too good to pass up), though in other lore his wife’s name is Azura (which reminds me of azul which means blue and that’s why her shirt is blue lafndsl;fna word play 8U). As for who she represents in Egyptian lore it’s Nephthys, Seth’s wife there too.
As for why they had their memories confused, it could be the fact that they fused together or the shock or whatever. Again I’m not too concerned with the main plot as long as I get P3PxP5 feels and it helps with their character I’m fine. Ok phew that’s over. I think I got everything from when I originally typed it. (I do go into some more detail on this in the endings later, and maybe splitting the two mythos into two routes could work).
Cast Make up: Ok before I get to B plot I should talk about how the cast will be made up cause it’s important to me. I think we should have a game where we only have the whole P5 cast and Hamuko (aka not the rest of the P3(P) cast except Velvet Room people). Ok like maybe I’ll have Aigis and/or Pharos there too (reasons stated later), but I’m mostly focused on Hamuko herself in relation with P5 kids. I have reasons, one is that we don’t’ get possible rehash of PQ’s plot. I say possible because unlike Minato, Hamuko SLs with her whole team and is in turn closer to them. So like P3’s side B plot could possibly not take place because of this, or it could but…yeah. As for the revenge B plot on the P4 side, while I’d LOVE to see how the P5 kids would talk it over I don’t want a rehash of the plot tbh.
The other thing this’ll fix is screen time and writing. Ok, PQ was a pretty great game but the way the characters were written was a little wonky (same with Ultimax but that poor thing got shafted so hard and let’s just focus on PQ). Like everyone was mean (dunno why they were, but the characters didn’t seem to offended by each other’s comments…still confused why this happened) and reduced to quirks (the main point). With just having Hamuko, Theo, Liz, and Margret (and again, maybe Pharos and/or Aigis) with the P5 cast it’ll make it easier than having to balance aaaallll the characters in from SEES and IT.
But I also think this make sense in a meta sense too. Like, PQ was part of what I dub the Labrynth Trilogy (PQ/Arena/Ultimax), PQ was made to explain how the P3/4 kids could trust each other so easily and work so well together, and that’s because they subconsciously remembered each other form that time. Now for P5? Say in Arena 3 the P5 kids meet the P3 team, but the problem is that it’s not the same P3 team (different universe with P3P remember?), P5 kids might feel the need to help P3 team but P3 team wouldn’t trust them (cause they don’t subconsciously remember them, only the P5 kids do), and then the P4 team def doesn’t know the P5 team and vice versa and alkdsfnkl;af it’d just be a real mess. I mean I can see them making it work but why make it so hard? But what if it’s just one person the P5 kids care about? What if the P5 kids do get in a tussle with the P3/4 kids over said person? That person being Hamuko. She’d be the Hamuko from the P3/4/5 timeline, she wouldn’t know the P5 kids, she wouldn’t know SEES, she’s not the same Hamuko from the P3P timeline (probably has a different name too), so she’s a different person, but it would be interesting to see P5 kids trying to help her because they knew another her from another universe (Oh hey P2 people am I getting you attention? 8U). It’s also easier to juggle only one person like that instead of a group of people. That’s my little preview for Arena 3 and/or 4, back to PQ2.
B Plot: Ok so like I said above I didn’t want a rehash of the plot, but if they did change it a bit…..it would be similar but different. Like, ok, so Hamuko is technically closer to her team than Minato. Instead of Yukari saying stuff like “we’re not that close”, Hamuko would muse to the P5 kids saying “Man looking at you guys I can see you’re all are really close as a group….makes me realize just how close my team might actually not be as I originally thought. Up until now I thought we all kind of got along, I thought we were close… But maybe it was only me that they’re close to….” She’ll later talk about how she might’ve instinctively known it all along, and so that’s why she tried so hard to get everyone to be closer to her. She realizes she’s the glue that holds everyone together and is afraid that if something happens to her they’ll all fall apart. She’ll then worry that maybe she’s actually not that close to everyone as she thinks she is, those reasons are: Yukari goes behind everyone’s back to ask Fuuka to get info for her, Fuuka doesn’t treat Hamuko the same way as she treats Natsuki aka her best friend, Mitsuru and Aigis can’t be SL at that time yet (tho Mitsuru does praise Hamuko and Aigis is always by her side so it’s like they’re strangers), Junpei/Akihiko/Ken all have a roadblock at some point so you can’t become closer to them, Shinjiro is fairly reluctant to SL with you even during ranks in the beginning, Koro is a dog (and also doesn’t want you to replace his owner) (so basically they’re all closer to her than Minato, but yet there’s still a barrier for her that she can’t seem to get over). And maybe the last B plot being that she hates how she has to be perky and a stepford smiler, as it puts a lot of pressure on her and she’s actually really stressed out. And also maybe how she feels like she’s usually stuck in the middle of everyone’s drama (ie Yukari vs Mitsuru cause she gets pulled along during the beach scene, Ken vs Shinjiro via SLing with them)
On the P5 side they could have their ideologies throw into question, maybe they start to second guess themselves on how they’re “heroes” considering they’re going about it shonen like and are peacocks about it, while Hamuko and SEES kind of have no choice in the matter (on top of not being recognized either). Or the ethical question on how they actually change the heart of their bad guys, did they really reform the person or did they force them? And other stuff relating to that.
Edit: Also how maybe hinting that if Hamuko hadn’t gone to Gekkou she would’ve been worse off than if she had gone (aka her living without the events of P3P is worse than her dying at the end of P3P, aka hint hint I might be foreshadowing another one of my “How I want Persona ___ to go” 8U)
Mechanics: Ok so it’ll basically be like PQ, fool arcana gets split up so everyone can use a secondary persona yada yada. The only difference is that I think there should be spell fusions (I have a very good reason for this, I won’t list it here but it’s a very good reason). Now how they go about the fusions depends, is it going to be like P2’s (or maybe like P3’s but with two people instead of one) and you can manually do it? Or will it be like P4G’s and it happens randomly. I kind of want the former but the latter would work fine (as long as they have a lot more combos, like everyone can have a different fusion spell with everybody).
Also Justine and Caroline will be in charge of the fusions (Igor isn’t there again btw), I think Caroline will do the fusions while Justine does whatever Marie’s job was (street passes). Theo and Liz have the same jobs as back in PQ. Margaret is here again, but she’s not the same as the one in PQ (she’s her P3P self), so the interactions between her, Theo and Liz will be different. Also the siblings interactions between the twins will be…..interesting. XD
Endings/story structure: Ok so this why I think we might need to have Aigis (and/or Pharos, but really Aigis). We could probably have 2 routes even if its’ only with fewer people on the P3P side, but we need some characters to bounce convos off of so that’s where Aigis comes in (other than her and Pharos having a special connection to Hamuko, Hamuko would need to be by herself for her to be pulled away, that place is probably her room, and Aigis and Pharos are the only two who would probably be in her room at that time…..cause Pharos does what he wants and Aigis would be taking care of you at that time. So yeah that’s why they’re the ones that would be there). Anyways we could have that. But I’m thinking more along the lines of having both MCs speak but having dialogue options that are similar to the ones Arena got (And P4D I think, anyways Yu had them and I know Kanji, Chie, and Yukiko had them as a way to get the gag endings, you chose and they just spoke the lines). And so because your choices matter maybe that leads to different endings, heck maybe we get two routes of the story (one being the Gnostic side and the other being the Egyptian side, depending on your choices up to that point), and then we get a true ending (where they’re mixed together) if you clear both story sides.  8U Or you still have the Gnostic/Egyptian routes, but it’s more connected to which MC you choose (like you play as Hamuko then you get the Egyptian route, you play as Akira you get the Gnostic route, you clear both then the true route is open to whichever MC you choose to play as only a few lines will be changed between playing as one or the other in the true route).
Dungeon: I’m thinking of having more dungeons in this game. Either be it more story dungeons (I know I did the 5 dungeon story structure up top but yeah) or just a lot of bonus dungeons. I think we should bring back Vision Quest (cause P3P is involved of course we should), be able to refight bosses but stronger, be able to fight PQ bosses but stronger. I think we should get the Group Date Café back as at least a mini dungeon (c’mon it was THE BEST part of PQ, and I know shippers are hungry for it).
And so yeah that’s basically all I have. I’m open to ideas. I hope Atlus does make this game (like legit just P3FeMC with P5 crossover is all I ask for). XD
Also here’s the spoiler Q and A post, feel free to ask questions I’ll answer them there.
