Best case scenario she is a grifter (Velasco).
Regarding TH, the public image and the idealisation of the general public is just projection. He has never dated a woman darker than himself, all the women he has been with are light or white, up till today.
There are other victims of TH, the social pressure and the fear of being mocked or discredited are keeping them silent. Beyond the stealthing, other acts might not be illegal but are still immoral and sexist. That's the man you wish to support?
There are other activists and men/women of color against racism and colourism, support them in your heart and elevate their voices no?
Hello, thanks for putting together all these links. I started this blog post for Tenoch, and if you have seen my last few posts (including my pinned post), you will be able to see my stance is wait and watch. I'm conflicted and I don't have an opinion exactly. And I'll tell you why
I always believe in victims first ideology. So I respect María and her courage to speak about it in the open.
Her timing is questionable, but I still want to believe her. Now what erodes my trust in her is that her history of frauds, bullying and extortion is very serious. But again, I am not dismissing her.
Tenoch has been hated on a lot for being outspoken, and his "womanizer" demeanor has been taken out of context. Whether it was the court case of his elder daughter, or the Skype scandal or whatever else. All of those were won by him through proper legal means. So this has happened with him before, and we don't know what this case is. Fernanda Tosky also accused him of being a bad lover who ditched her, but then she deleted her tweet. Why?
And why I am skeptical of him? Because men who are "womanizers" often indulge in toxic and misogynistic behaviors, which although may or may not be criminally prosecutable, cannot absolve him of his issues.
If he's found guilty, I'll be the first one to leave. If he's not, know that his career would have ended before it even began. And no one will hold María accountable.
In respect of both the people, I am not posting any new Tenoch content, unless it relates to some investigation or evidence on this case. I am posting both sides, whatever to me looks like a logical take.
As for Velasco, I have seen an interview she took of him. She's a supporter to me, that's all. In the big picture, she doesn't matter to me. Nor do I care about her history. Unless it's influencing the case in some way, which I don't see happening.
As for dating dark-skinned women, that's a big statement you write. He's written in his book Orgullo Prieto that he has had a dark skinned girlfriend before. He prefers to keep that side of his life private so I never bothered digging into it. We don't know much about that part of him, and we might just learn in this case.
If there are more women who have suffered, my heart goes out to them. I hope they find the courage and justice.
TH is just one person. I have dedicated my whole personal and professional life to supporting women and working against systems that promote racism. Don't worry about that 👍

Hi, Hey there!
I've had this blog up for a few weeks so I figured I'd introduce myself. Not gonna reveal my actual name for security reasons but just call me Kosmic.
I currently live in the USA (Unfortunately). I'm genderfluid and really don't care what pronouns I am referred to with as long as they're not it/it's. I'm also an aspiring writer but for now I mostly just write fanfiction. Mostly Saint Seiya related obviously though I've been working on other stuff.
You can find my AO3 account here:
I've also been working on art but I'm still a beginner.
I try to be a nice person. (Though I'm not sure if I'm good at it because I can't stop swearing.) I don't accept racism, ableism, bullying, kin exclusionists or gatekeeping, misogyny, homophobia or anything anti-lgbt...
Yeah, Just don't be a dick. It's not hard.
Also don't be a sicko, no pedophila or zoophilia.
Some other stuff about me in case you care:
I'm a minor, don't be a creep.
I have ADHD, tend to hyperfixate on weird stuff. Then again a lot of people on this website do. Just saying I'm not one to judge people when I think about my interests.
I'm agnostic but I'm not going to crap on anyone for having a religion, as long as you're not a Jehovah's Witness. Screw those abusive idiots.
My hobbies are reading, writing, drawing, playing retro games, creating OCs, watching documentaries, and staying up at three AM regretting all of my life's choices
My favorite shows are: Saint Seiya (1986), Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Ronin Warriors, Ranma 1/2, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, Astro Boy, Jetter Mars, Sonic Prime, Sonic X, Beastars, Thundercats (both 1986 and 2011), Futurama, Kimba the White Lion, Cowboy Bebop, To Kai Watch, Captain Scarlet, Black Jack, Samurai Jack, Ampanman, The Amazing World of Gumball, Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Danger Mouse, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai (AKA Power Rangers)
My favorite movies: the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, AKIRA, the Barbie movie (don't judge), Godzilla, Plague Dogs, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Saint Seiya: Legend of the Crimson Youth, Chirin's Bell, The amazing Spider-Man, Toy Story 3, The Iron Giant, Into the Spiderverse, also as of now gotta add the FNAF movie
Favorite video games: Sonic the Hedgehog series, Phantasy Star 4, Columns, Panel De Pon, Mega Man, PulseMan, Mario Kart 8, Pokemon: Legends Arceus, Animal Crossing, Earthbound, Poyo Poyo/Mean Bean Machine, Sin and Punishment, Harvest Moon, Star Fox
Favorite Bands/Musical Artists: Jack Stauber, Daft Punk, Lemon Demon, Caravan Palace, Tally Hall, Miura Ayme, Rammstein, The Living Tombstone, Rare Americans, Nirvana, Rammstein, Witchfinder General, Gorillaz
Favorite books: The Golden Compass, The Most Dangerous Game, Magnus Chase, Heros of Olympus (or basically anything by Rick Riordan), Death Note, Beastars (manga), Inuyasha, The Lovely Bones (I fucking cried so hard), MAUS (Made me cry harder), City of Ember, Journey to the West, Most classic creepypastas mainly "Abandoned by Disney" (YES. I know they're not books), Cells at Work, AKIRA (Manga)
So... Um... Yeah.
I like to talk with people about my interests so don't be afraid to give me a message. (As long as it doesn't promise "hot singles" in my area, I'm not that stupid.)
Updates:
I have a discord under the name robotic carnival and a side blog Tezuka Brainrot.
I am fictokin of: Cobalt from Astro Boy mainly.
Partially:
Mars from Jetter Mars.
Jibanyan from Yo Kai Watch
Rika from Phantasy Star.
Akane Tendo and Ryoga Hibbikki from Ranma 1/2
Cygnus Hyoga, Pegasus Seiya, and Aquarius Camus from Saint Seiya.
And the flag on my profile picture is ADHD flag.
Cringe and proud. ♥️
My husbandos are Doctor Yamanoue and Doctor Kawashimo from Jetter Mars, Phoenix Ikki from Saint Seiya, James/Kojiro from Pokemon, and Rune from Phantasy Star.
I can't beat Zio PLZ someone tell me how.
I am pro Palestine and I will accept no support of genocide.
I am neutral on the Joe Hawley situation as he has done terrible things yet does not deserve to be hacked or harassed.
Also ship discourse and fanfiction censorship discourse is dumb I don't care anymore. And regret my past actions. Don't harass over stuff you don't like but also tag your shit. You can't complain about people judging you if you are irresponsible about keeping it where it belongs.

the only thing that was holding my interest and that tiktok would Actually put on my fyp (since the very start i've wanted cottagecore, not the aesthetic shots, just 17-20 something year olds baking snail cookies and getting excited about finding mushrooms and making paper crafts. tiktok gives me Anything But That) is witchtok and it's even started showing me less of that. most of what i'm getting every now and then is someone being an ass or a literal serial abuser or those "when ppl culturally appropriate ew🙄" posts which are SO Fucking Annoying because it's about the equivalent of "racism? that's for dorks. bullying?? don't do that dweeb" like it's not gonna do anything. all that's happening is a bunch of (usually white ppl) going "i'm so cool bc i don't steal from cultures. i'm literally the best. unlike those guys" over and over again. and generally the ppl loud and proud about how they Don't do something are either doing that same thing or something worse behind the scenes. also it's boring and repetitive.
like pls pls pls. make some fun content. is there a funky way you like to read tarot. do you have a niche herb you really enjoy. any funny stories of times you fucked up. cool rocks you found. strange upgs that are just for fun but you kinda believe them. something. anything.
to be fair i know exactly why ppl don't wanna post that bc witchtok is an echo chamber and anything that isn't ew racism or burning incense will get you bullied to hell and back in there. i'm careful with my own posts too (kinda stopped filtering so much tho bc i was getting annoyed) bc i've seen ppl get harassed and cyber stalked or mass reported over tedious shit. either that or they get discussed by less aggressive accounts. which. is it's own situation
these discussions can be semi or fully respectful (always calm tho) but i just think it's really weird. to post. a short video and have a group of people you don't know publicly breaking down every detail of your video saying things like " i don't know this persons situation but it COULD be a sign of psychosis" in a calm polite voice. i think it's so so weird. especially if in said video you're in distress. its like having a panic attack and some random person turns to the rest of the people in the room like "let's discuss the ethics of this situation" and starts a socratic seminar. it's treating a human like a hypothetical example. either help them if you know them well enough or leave them alone.
anyways tiktok is just making me angry. i have a few creators i think are super cool and i appreciate the disabled ppl on there bc they usually make me realize "oh feeling like my arm slips a little out it's socket or go limp often probably isn't normal) but other than my following list it's just so unfun

Why not, we'll be in the future afterall... they can call us names, they can hate,, we just wait, we know what we want, what's needed... they can try to force us into communism or materialism or authoritarianism which is all basically the same thing, derives from the same system... but millenials are the complete opposite want neither of those things... everyone hates millenials that propaganda is strong against... cuz we are kinda minimalist, because we don't want to rely on money, or work as a slave for somebody,, we like to grow things, we think war is idiocrazy, we would prefer to be more self reliant, we value empathy, racism stems from fear and we are fearless in many ways, if need be stoic, they can say millenials got the shit end of the stick but I would wager it was done on purpose, drugs and depression is sold to us for a reason, because eventually they'll all be dead, that age gap is a nice barrier keeping them in a distance, and say what u will millenials are the smartest generation, and u can take that futher and say resilient.. they can't really push millenials around anymore, they can't really say shit to millenials anymore, we will argue, we will give about as much shits as they did,, millenials absolutely do not give af about there retirements.. we just wait lol eventually there will be plenty of empty houses, most of capitalism is to take care of them, maintained for them, and millenials are disconnecting and growing gardens, we don't really care about nice cars or big houses, peace of mind, once u get a taste that's all u want, get as far away from the rat race,, and it's better for the planet in every way,, say what they will, focus on a few,, but most millenials service infrastructure, alot are artisans of trades,, and srry to say what annoys us the most is serving narcissist fucking bully baby boomers, who get a rise off being terrible to people, who literally cause all the problems, especially the rich ones lol obviously I'm also only focusing on the few.. but as John Wayne one said,, baby boomers are the pussy generation... they had it good, they are softer and weaker than they would have us all believe, they put there parents into retirement homes, they are selfish, they are conformists, they are petty, they kicked cans down roads, as if not there problem, they stole the future from our children, they are Godless...
Effin millenial, why not,, prove me wrong,, all I do is watch and process what's going on, idgaf, sins of our fathers, I may find humor and laugh out loud, with concerned eyes i smile,, because I'm hopefull, it is what it is, but I do not partake in it, we learn from our mistakes, that is how God teaches us lessons.. if u are not learning something right now in the times we live in, u are blind and have no ears.. in my head we can be found innocent on judgement day, a covenant goes both ways... the few do no not dictate everyone's fate

“I hate white people” yeah im not helping groups that think that my imaginary ancestors chased them through a jungle to enslave them. Like the amount of times ive had to explain my ancestry- which is part native American- is kinda racist. Ive had black people make fun of me for crying, blushing, being sunburned- none of these people care about white people except what they can take from them or make them apologize for. White people are the only ones not allowed to like our skin color or culture period. Like i CANNOT say i like my light skin. How does that not seem weird back to you?? I dont owe black people anything because of their ancestors, which had nothing to do with me or mine. So without the whole “white people owe them” part literally why should i help black people when i see jokes and black people saying we should murder white people every day?? A girls does something an it’s “oh ye plus shes white :P” like??? How is that not racist?? How is it not racist to bring up a person skin color just to talk about them negatively- just to prove theyre a bad person?? God the jokes are so fucking tiring it’s actually making me racist i cant stand being around black people anymore they always got some shit to say about me being white- it’s fucking weird and racist and in a few years all this woke shit is gonna wear off and everyones gonna see how racist and weird they got. Like literally what has changed since everyone got “woke”?? it’s created a greater divide.
Do you know what you do when you come across someone who is just a nasty, bullying individual? You recognise them as a bully, you avoid them and you move on.
If you take the actions of an individual and then decide "Well, fuck that entire group, I don't care about any of them," then that just makes you a bigot.
If you're complaining about individual black people who bullied you and now suddenly "can't stand being around black people," then you're just racist. That's it.
Literally none of the rest of it matters. All that says is that you had racist beliefs before and you were waiting for some "bad examples" to extrapolate and then use them as excuses to hate all black individuals as well as suddenly not care about anti-black racism in general at all.
How can you honestly sit there, think all of that, realise what you're doing and then somehow still believe that you're the good person here?

Growing up, like most of us, I only saw neurotypical cishet people on TV, most of them white. I rarely saw gay characters who weren't stereotyped side characters used for the "gay best friend" or the "butch lesbian" to poke fun at or the "bisexual who only likes the same sex for attention". I never saw genderqueer people who weren't used for some kind of humor or sad backstory and they were rarely respected when they even existed. Neurodivergent folks were always for humor such as the "ADHD kid bouncing off the walls and OOH SQUIRREL" or for angst such as the "autistic person who exists solely for angst and to be bullied by others." I never got to see someone like me in the media.
And now we're in a point in history where we get to watch this show.
The main character is bisexual, neurodivergent, and afro latina.
Tumblr media
The love interest is a lesbian with a rough past and abusive parents.
Tumblr media
The best friends are a burnt out gifted kid raised by a single dad and a girl with two dads and self esteem issues. Both of which are people of color.
Tumblr media
The love interest has a brother who's dating someone who uses they/them pronouns.
Tumblr media
The mother figure is bisexual with a chronic illness.
Tumblr media
The mother figure's love interest is a nonbinary performer with stage fright and a person of color.
Tumblr media
The mother figure's mom used to be an anti-vaxxer before she learned to understand and respect her daughter and her chronic illness.
Tumblr media
The principal has a disability and genuinely cares for his students.
Tumblr media
Several of the 'mean' characters have gotten realistic character growth in which they acknowledge that they did wrong, address it, and grow.
Tumblr media
Several side characters are seen with same-sex partners, various skin colors, and disabilities.
They/them pronouns are used regularly used both for folks who use them and folks whose pronouns are unknown.
Tumblr media
And none of these facts cloud any of the characters or are used for humor or anything like that. In this world, homophobia, racism, transphobia, and ableism flat out don't exist.
I have cried happy tears several times to my mom and my friends about how amazing it is that such an inclusive show exists. Not only is the plot incredible and the animation beautiful but it raises a more inclusive generation.
Young children are turning on Disney Channel and seeing that it's okay and normal to be disabled, neurodivergent, queer, transgender, a person of color, chronically ill, or from a "different" family dynamic. That it's never to late to grow and change as a person.
I would give anything to have had a show like this growing up. To turn on my favorite tv station to see that it was okay to be myself. That there's not just one way to be myself. To be able to see myself in the characters on my screen.
Dana Terrace and the team have made such massive contributions to the history of progress and inclusivity and I cannot express my appreciation enough.
EDIT: 1. True, Boscha has made no changes as of yet, I used that picture because I personally thought that scene seemed to hint that she has the possibility of change and I couldn't find a screencap of Matt that effectively showed his change. 2. True, there is some ableism as far as the magic abilities go (I.E. Eda's curse) but I meant as far as ableism that related to disabilities in reality, sorry for the confusion. 3. Thank you for everyone giving me suggestions and reminders as to things to add! I put what I could remember when I wrote it and didn't expect this post to blow up so much so thank you to everyone giving me suggestions to show how amazing this show is!
Also this show is called The Owl House and you can watch season 1 and the first few episodes of season 2 on Disney+! ♡

Recent news has me fuming. I'm very tempted to vent my anger through art, but I've been feeling like shit lately for more reasons than I can count. Dunno if I have the energy to draw that. I already plan to draw something later for an art event that's due soon.
Anyway, I'm gonna TRY to keep this short.
I really wish people would care more about racism against Asians. I know we might not have it as bad as some other minorities, but it's not a fucking competition. Racism is racism. And now more than never, we need support. Covid didn't start anti-Asian racism, it just made everything skyrocket. That doesn't just include the States either, I'm talking worldwide, even here in Canada (we really aren't the perfect angel country like some may think).
There's some gross shit going around about how BLM shouldn't support Asians because apparently we're "anti-black in general". If you think that, please take some time to reflect, because it's nasty thoughts like this that just divide communities further.
Yeah I won't lie, a lot of Asians are super racist towards others with dark skin. But that's mainly an issue with the older generation. To group all of us together under one belief and use that as justification to deny support is disgusting.
I've had to deal with a shit ton of racist bullies growing up. Some were white, some were black. That doesn't make me want to take a knife to everyone of either race. That doesn't mean I won't support BLM. You either oppose racism or you don't.
There shouldn't be any cherrypicking here just because not everyone of a certain race is a damn saint.
Race. Does not. Determine. Morality.
And it's downright pathetic that this has to be said.
TLDR; I'm a weird mix of frustrated and pissed off right now because on one hand I'm like "Disappointed but not surprised" but on the other, it's just "Oh for fucks sake not again".
It's not a competition between BLM and StopAsianHate, BUT:
It is REALLY irritating to see that people talked about supporting the Asian community for like a day, then seemingly forgot about it. I don't expect people to post about it 10 times a day, but if Tumblr can secure BLM at number 1 for the past few months, it would be REALLY nice if we could get this pinned somewhere in trending for more than a week.

(Chantry Asker) I don't defend the Chantry because I think is "has to be good", but part of what Dragon Age encourages us to do is consider the difficulty faced by well-intentioned factions. The Inquisition, for example, has problems, becoming vulnerable to infiltration, and depending on how you played the game, may have done worse. It's not easy to help people, but the Chantry TRIES. Many Thedosian groups don't even do that. If not the Chantry, then to whom do the downtrodden and hopeless turn?
But Anonymous person: this is exactly what I mean. Whence comes this desire to treat the Chantry like some kind of beleaguered, underfunded kindergarten teacher?
“She’s trying, okay? She’s trying.”
Do you feel the need to defend Mass Effect’s Cerberus, too? Sometimes an evil organisation is just an evil organisation.
Why on earth do you think the Chantry is ‘trying’? Again: absolutely no one is saying that a particular revered mother (or Chantry brother or sister) may not be a good person who attempts to help people. That’s not in question. But ‘the Chantry’ is a continent-wide political organisation with massive resources and influence. It is led by a divine and by grand clerics, and on the other side by lord and lady Seekers and by knight-commanders of the templars. It has shaped the world. That’s the scale we are working on here.
No one group in history has impacted life in Thedas more than the Chantry. The influence of this church of the Maker prevails across most of the continent’s kingdoms, and the bulk of humanity pays at least lip service to its tenets. Belief in the Maker has started wars and forced those outside the Chantry to the fringes of society.
– The World of Thedas Volume I
So that’s a good start.
"The Keepers, Shaperate, Qun, Augers, Seers, and Shamen don't help. Only the Chantry.”
That’s one of the first things you said to me. And it’s so confusing because ... it reads like you really don’t grasp that these people are not in Lothering because, largely, they have been driven to the margins by Orlais and its Chantry. They can’t be there. They would die.
Just as an example – can you imagine what would happen to an augur who set up in some Chantry-dominated village? Started summoning his gods, offering guidance and assistance, suggesting spirit possession to help training young mages? The poor bastard wouldn’t live out the day. But that wouldn’t be his fault. His people aren’t the ones practising religious persecution.
How – how – does that demonstrate the virtue of the Chantry? You can’t give someone points for being the only game in town when they’ve killed all the other players.
The Chantry began and has continued to be a predominantly human organisation. Other races are seen to be further from the Maker. The elves have their false pantheon of idols. The dwarves worship themselves. The Qunari are the worst of all, actively crushing worship of the Maker and desecrating Chantry values in the name of the Qun.
–  The World of Thedas Volume I
They have built the racism right into their doctrine, so that’s nice. And the religious persecution. And just ... zero self-awareness in that they hate the Qunari for converting by force when they do the same thing.
But let’s think about your "downtrodden and hopeless”, shall we?
Why is it that most of the elves in Thedas live in abject poverty, and regardless of their skills are effectively barred from bettering their lot? Oh, that’s right. Because the Chantry invaded their homeland, stole it from them, and forced them to live in slums and convert to the Chantry faith.
But you already know that something went wrong. A small elven raiding party attacked the nearby human village of Red Crossing, an act of anger that prompted the Chantry to retaliate and, with their superior numbers, conquer the Dales.
We were not enslaved as we had been before, but our worship of the ancient gods was now forbidden. We were allowed to live among the humans only as second-class citizens who worshipped their Maker, forgetting once more the scraps of lore we had maintained through the centuries.
– The City Elves
Why is it that most mages are dependant on Chantry run Circles to house, feed and clothe them? Oh, that’s right. Because the Chantry kidnaps them as children, prevents them from inheriting their family titles and property, and steals their children in turn should they have any.
Chantry law requires those with significant magical ability to join the nearest Circle and live under its supervision. While Thedosians with extremely low levels of magical talent are generally permitted to go about their lives, they are still closely watched. In most nations, practising magic and not joining a Circle is to be branded an apostate and, thus, a danger to society. Those who survive capture are turned over to the Circle to become students or prisoners, depending on the circumstances.
– The World of Thedas Volume I
So that’s ... pretty great. It sounds as though you’re suggesting – best case scenario – that the Chantry should get points for setting up a soup kitchen for the homeless, when they were the ones who burned down those people’s houses. And built an ugly mansion on the land.
But that really is a ... best case scenario. It doesn’t really fit with the reality of how the Chantry operates. I mean: the Chantry takeover in Kirkwall was a fucking disaster. Meredith had death squads. I mean – death squads. That whole situation was a dystopian nightmare.
And then there’s whatever the fuck is going on in Tantervale:
Chantry law is all but absolute in Tantervale, earning the city its dour reputation. The city guard is obsessed with enforcement. A street urchin would get a year in the dungeon for something that would get him a pat on the back in Orlais.
– World of Thedas Volume I
So ... yay for theocracy? And then there’s the clusterfuck in Jader:
The overpopulation and poor living conditions led to an outbreak of disease that nearly crippled the city, followed by famine in the poorer sections when it was quarantined.
Mother Giselle, whose prosperous chantry was in a wealthier quarter, wrote to Val Royeaux asking for assistance from the Chantry. When help was not immediately forthcoming, it is said that she addressed the clerics of her chantry. “As Andraste herself said, ‘My faith sustains me; I shall not fear the legion,’ then so shall faith sustain the hungry in this time of need,” Giselle told them. “As we have devoted our lives to divine contemplation, such a diet should come to us quite easily.” With that she took the unprecedented step of taking all of her chantry’s food into the poor quarters of Jader, distributing it to peasants who would otherwise have starved to death.
Shocked and shamed by what some in Val Royeaux privately referred to as an ostentatious bullying tactic, Chantry officials coordinated relief efforts. Food arrived quickly, along with instructions on how it was to be distributed: first to the Jader chantry to end the hunger strike, then to the Orlesian peasants, then to the Fereldan refugees, and finally to the elves of the alienages. Mother Giselle famously replied to the orders by saying, “If we believe that some have fallen further from the Maker’s grace than others, then those who have fallen further are in greatest need of our care. We cannot fill their souls until we have filled their bellies.” With the support of Lady Seryl of Jader, who was directing relief efforts of her own, Giselle ignored the directives and fed the poor of the city without regard for race or nationality.
Her actions saved thousands of lives in Jader and made her a beloved figure among the poor in Orlais and Ferelden alike. Those actions also destroyed her chances of any official political advancement in the Chantry, as the grand clerics did not look kindly on being shown up in such a manner.
– World of Thedas Volume II
So, five important points here:
1) Mother Giselle’s actions are ‘unprecedented’. So stepping up like that and forcing the Chantry to give aid in a time of crisis is not actually standard practice.
2) This is a clear example of a person attempting to do good and being stymied by the Chantry hierarchy.
3) The Chantry is, in case anyone forgot, really fucking racist.
4) Ending a famine also ended this woman’s political career, because the Chantry just cannot stop being The Worst.
5) While Giselle is undeniably doing some really awesome stuff here, that bit about not being able to fill people’s souls before filling their bellies indicates that even good people tend to do harm when following Chantry doctrine, because they can’t just ‘do good’. They’re also pushing conversion.
Whenever and wherever the Chantry has real power, they tend to do terrible harm. They do it on such a scale, on such a level of ‘these bloody hands may never be clean again’ awful that ... a few acts of kindness can’t easily redeem them.
To be critical of the Chantry, I don’t need to have another option. I can critique a thing without going further – especially since ‘The Chantry killed everyone else’ is ... pretty much why other people aren’t around to help. But ... it really isn’t as if no one else knows how to do good?
I mean – look at Alistair. Assuming you made him king, he shows up with ships to bring the Fereldan refugees home, and offers aid to rebel mages. He fights with Meredith about it. That aid continues into Inquisition. While the Chantry is busy tearing Kirkwall apart, Alistair is helping. Anders runs a clinic for the poor and dispossessed in the Kirkwall sewers. He’s so damn popular that a mob turns up to defend him. That’s just one man. Most people like him are locked up, so they can’t help. Imagine a thousand clinics run by spirit healers.
Or ... did ... no one listen to Merrill?
Merrill: What does your Chantry do? I mean, you keep saying how great it is. Anders and Isabela tell me to stay away from it. But what does it do? Among the Dalish, the Keepers teach the children, preserve our history, perform magic. The priestesses here just... sing.
Sebastian: The Chantry does many charitable works. It cares for widows and orphans –
Merrill: Who in the Dalish would just be part of the clan, like everyone else. I just don't get it.
...
Bethany: So, there's no Circle among the Dalish?
Merrill: Any child with the gift of magic is apprenticed to a Keeper... in another clan if there's no need in her own.
Bethany: That sounds nice.
Merrill: Magic is a gift of the Creators. Why wouldn't we use it? It just seems... wasteful for humans to lock their mages away where they can't do any good.
– Merrill Dialogue
The Dalish would regard ‘charity’ as a communal duty, and magic as a tool to help people. She’s not wildly impressed by the Chantry, which is not doing enough good of any kind for her to notice. Merrill lives in one of the poorest parts of the city. So. Maybe her way might be worth a try?
Individuals can do good. Organisations can do good. These things are not in question. But the Chantry is – and I say this again – an imperial religion. Its primary function is to serve the Orlesian empire, which is racist, power hungry and deeply religiously intolerant. Empires are bad news.
I’ve seen the examples you’ve given. They exist. Some of them are real instances of a Chantry official, or a small, local chantry, doing a Good Thing. But I have to ask ...
Can you really look at a set of scales that has ‘genocide’ on one side and ‘helped out a single mum that one time’ on the other and say “Sure, that balances”?

"he’s trying to take on the complex issue of stan twitter behavior without even truly understanding fandom, stan culture or honestly how people’s personal and emotional well being is a driving force in how stan culture works." This is really intriguing, could you explain more what you mean by this if you don't mind?
I think what SS wanted this project to be, is not how fandom took it. Basically, SS wants people on social media to be nice and not bully one another, which is a good thing to fight against. There's nothing wrong with the project in and of itself. However, I think, unbeknownst to him, making the project about ships is going to backfire. You can't make people love everything. You can't make people suppress any negative feeling or reaction to art. Or positive. People's life experiences affect how we interact with art and what makes us feel good or bad. People get defensive and/or angry for different reasons. People enjoy things for different reasons. Expressing negative feelings is OK too. It doesn't make you a bad person. You can't police fandom and it certainly isn't a place for cast and crew members. It's a place for fans. And if SS had just called his project something else, something about cyber bullying in general, I think he'd gotten more positive feedback. Now, it becomes about shipwars and ugh, he did not think that one through.
For this fandom, it's about 3 years too late. When he interacts with people on twitter now, people who are like "this is a great project bla bla bla" I'm sitting there like "this person was literally in my mentions 2 years ago calling Bob a monkey as a 'joke' and yelled at me for calling them out on their racism". Or he interacts with someone on twitter who just a few weeks ago called Eliza "a cheater* but now they're like "good job on the project, SS". I understand that SS sees some positive tweets and responds. I understand that he couldn't possibly know what happens in fandom. Yet it does leave a bad taste in my mouth when he is interacting with a fan who is acting all nice to him, but used to say racist shit about Bob before. And when some people point stuff like this out, SS says that he can't know how every account is handled and THAT IS THE PROBLEM.
He doesn't understand or know fandom. He doesn't know that that random person on twitter who tweets him one positive tweet also said disgusting shit about his co-workers before. He doesn't know how toxic and angry fans are in this fandom so he can never win. If he interacts with one fan, someone will be angry because that fan used to say negative stuff about a ship before and fandom does not forget! So it becomes some stupid "why did you not defend us back when... " and SS goes "I didn't know that happened before" so then it becomes a "he doesn't care about this issue, he only cares about them" and even though SS has good intentions, he will never win. If he defends TT or Lindsey, then a group of fans will feel hurt that he didn't defend Bob or Marie or Richard that one time. Obviously that must mean that he doesn't care about ALL his friends? Or that he has a positive conversation with a B/E shipper, which makes random Bellarke shippers angry because he never did that with Bellarke shippers, which must mean he plays favorites or he's "fake" when he tries to interact with shippers from another subgroup.
He does not understand fandom and he will never truly win. So that's why I think he's getting more shit than he would have gotten if he hadn't made this about ships/fandom. And I truly do not think this is SS intention with this project at all. I truly do think it's about cyber bullying but like I said, he cannot win with fandom and he does not know how fandom works. Instead of getting people on board, people feel like they need to defend themselves and it just comes a mess.

The Problem with MSM
So I honestly don't have many followers. I'm also prone to going on tangents. And most of my posts are rooted in politics. Not by choice mind you. I was not the one that decided literally everything in existence is political. I'm also not the one that created the view points that want everything to be political. TL;DR At the bottom.
To start off however, I need you to understand the process of radicalization.
Find someone who feels discontent with how a situation is, or how their life is
Tell this person that what's happening to them is not their fault
Place the blame for this person's problems on a certain group (political group, racial group, religious group, etc.)
Talk to the person like you know how they feel, "drop your guard" and tell them "problems you've had that were not your fault" blaming that same group
Show them that they are either a victim or oppressed in some way, shape, or form.
Slowly start swaying their views further to the extreme, by showing them other instances of "others who are being attacked or are victims" of said group.
Promptly but softly oppose any "differing views" with warped information or flat out lies
Get them to start going to events and taking to others that have already been radicalized
Have you and another radicalized individual, keep track of this person and say you support them and their issues
Sit back and watch
Now this is a rough lost but more or less the bare bones basics of radicalizing other people. Though in some cases it takes more steps and in some others it takes less. So what does this have to do with MSM (Mainstream Media)? Quite a few things in modern day actually.
The job of MSM is to get you information, as fast as humanly possible. This however was not the first goal priority in the past. In the past, the first priority was to cover a story as factually as the could, and look for more information keeping people constantly updated. Here we get to our first real problem for Media today. Technology. The Advent of modern technology has been both a blessing and a curse in this regard. And of course I'm talking about the internet in its current form. The internet being the very center of information distribution in 2019. And it has been for almost 12 years now.
So what did this change? Basically everything we know today. "Old wives tales" are now a Google search away. Feeling sick? WebMD says you have Cancer. Looking for the next hour story? Check CNN's Twitter account. The Internet brought us a great, many things. But it has taken away just as many. MSM has had to slowly move operations into social media in order to try and stay relevant. This because many people have unplugged, and have gone full digital. The only real exceptions being places of business. And with the world at your finger tips at the clock of a button, being factual has lost its relevance. Not to mention that as far back as 2013-2014 activists started working for MSM companies. Most notably progressive activists. This causes many problems we currently see today. Below is an example of what a headline used to look like, and what most headlines look like now:
Normal headline: Shooting in Birmingham leaves 3 dead and several injured during city wide festival.
Headline now: White, Trump supporter, Nazi, KKK, skin head, punches 2 people in hate crime.
See the difference? The first headline shows the basic facts and dives into known details during the article. Often they'd avoid opinions all together. The second one one the other hand, blatantly discloses anything that could generate clicks. Why? Because true or not, outrage sells. So over the past several years, MSM has been slowly radicalizing us. But they do this on a bipartisan level.
Are you black? The cops will kill you, and the white man is evil. Can't find a job? Racism. Are you a woman? Then you're unhappy because "rape culture". Do you regret having sex with that guy? Well guess what? He actually raped you without you realizing. Are you white? You're evil. Are you strait? You're a monster and should give all your money to gay people. Are you a man? You are responsible for every rape ever committed. You're also a pedophile and violent. Are you a strait white man? Oh boy you won the jackpot because you're basically Hitler.
See my point here? MSM spends most of it's time trying to rage bait you into clicking their articles. And in doing so we've gotten so lazy as a country that half the time, we don't even read past the headlines. And MSM knows this. They don't care if you read what they write. They are just radicalizing you so they can keep feeding you outrage. Because the more often they do it, the more often you will click it, skim all of 3 lines and then hop on Twitter and talk about how outraged you are. Sure, we are just as to blame for letting it happen to us, but most of us used to have at least some trust in the media. But after SEVERAL severely awfully false hit pieces that were headline news for almost months, many of us have started staying away from MSM.
What incidents might I be talking about?
Covington Catholic controversy (Almost every media outlet took a 7 second clip and ran with it. Turns out, there was a full 2hr video out there, and the Native American man, whom CNN interviewed, lied his ass off. Most media also chose to ignore the VERY beginning of the video which showcased a group called The Black Hebrew Israelites. These individuals, called Trump a homosexual, called the Native Americans there "Uncle Tomahawk", and said Gay people should not have rights. THESE CATHOLIC STUDENTS, were appalled by this statement. But what did we see in the media? "Racist Maga hat kid threatens and blocks the path of a Poor innocent Native American man."
Duke Lacrosse. Years after these kids were crucified by the Media and many others, the girl actually came out saying it never happened. You know who reported on this? Next to no one.
Ferguson. Now as controversial as this one is, the media took and RAN with it. What followed after the skewed coverage was a cult like gathering that led to phrases like, "hands up don't shoot" and "oink oink, bang bang". But Obama had the issue federally investigated. Both witnesses and the coroner report said basically the same thing. That he was aggressively wrestling with the cop trying to take his gun. But, it's too late. Now all cops are evil, and Democrat politicians are quoting it like it happened yesterday, and claiming the cop guilty. Why? Because MSM already got what they needed. They radicalized the individuals they wanted, people who will come back to them for, "facts".
And what does all of this boil down to? A video that made me write this out.
Tumblr media
2 things need to be said here. 1. The "manifesto" as it were, was actually debunked to have been uploaded by the shooter, by the site admin himself. As well as several other sources. 2. If, by some chance the manifesto was real, and he had someone upload it for him, he mentions several liberal talking points, like universal basic income, saving the environment, among other left policies.
But this brings me back to both the beginning and to this story. Assuming for a moment, the manifesto was his. How did this happen? Most of you might just jump and say, "RACIST NAZIS", or something slightly more colorful. But here is the thing. MSM is partly responsible for all of this. Assuming the conspiracy that the CIA or FBI is responsible is false, I agree with the YouTuber in the picture. I believe that if you belittle and berate someone enough over time, you can cause them to do extreme things. I mean look at this site. Look at Twitter. Look at MSM. "White people bad", "white people are evil" "K*LL all whites" "white privilege", "fuck men", "male tears", "man spreading", "mansplaining", "Yes all men". All of this. This is popular. This is a trend. And it's unacceptable. Because frankly, it's basically bullying someone into a corner. Personally? I've been told by a few companies that are scared of social justice warriors and the online hate mob, that their company is actively not hiring white individuals. And I wish, REALLY WISH, I was making that up.
Is it any wonder, that people who go to the internet as an escape end up in a low point in their lives and then decide to do something awful? And it's the same with school shootings too. The news puts out, the name, ethnicity, how tall they are, and their entire life story, for weeks at a time. And now for much longer, because they support the desire to ban guns. So they need these things to happen more often. So the glorify the shooter, and keep talking about him/them for months. But here is where the story gets fun.
Columbine's shooting, was actually supposed to be a bombing. The kids who did it? Not the "school losers" the media talked about. The trench coat club? They were not even apart of it. More info on that here. As well as other places on Google.
youtube
More or less This video covers what the media got wrong in their rush to cover everything. What they did not intend on, was making these two boys heros to those bullied in school. Mostly boys, who are torn down and told they aren't enough, that they don't matter, they are isolated, bullied, harassed. So they look for someone who stood up to their bullies. What they were given, was a sociopath who manipulated a suicidal boy into helping him commit mass murder. Almost all of MSM were quick to say they were bullied into it. What's worse however, is Parkland. The Parkland 5, (the students whom MSM propped up for months) one of them came out admitting, that she bullied the guy who shot up the school. Said he was weird and that she needed to do it. This is one of the teens the media has PROPPED UP, saying we should listen to their infinite wisdom. A girl who is probably half responsible for the shooting.
Start paying attention. Start doing research. And for the love of all that is holy, STOP BULLYING PEOPLE! I don't care what your narrative is, or what it means. IE:
White people are human
Black people are human
Hispanic people are human
Gay people are human
Strait people are human
Women are human
Men are human
Stop normalizing anything to the contrary. Because when you do, you become part of the problem.
TL;DR The media only cares about themselves and clicks. They don't care who they radicalize, so long as you keep giving them traffic. Which for them is money. Do your research, look into things, and don't bully people. I'm looking at you progressives.
