(psst it's r. marie) But no hun, while R. Marie does care for Nina (definitely more than Cortex does 🙄), they're not related by blood in any way. In fact, in my personal lil lore, Nina doesn't even have a mother and is actually a genetic clone of Cortex that he made, and the reason Nina's a girl is cuz Cortex is a trans man, so a clone of him would logically be afab :3

🔩 Please, is this even a serious question? It could be a battle of wits, or strength, or evil, and R. Marie would win every time. I mean, that should be obvious to anyone, but you wanna know one of many reasons I know for sure? Last time they lost to Crash, Cortex cried in his room for three hours, and R. Marie threw a chair, a table, and an assistant out of one of the windows in the castle. Now which of those do you think would break the other first? 🔩

🔩 Hmm... I wonder if there's any way I could pit them against each other. Like I said, obviously I know R. Marie would win, but it would still be amusing to watch. 🔩

how well does R. Marie get along with Cortex's lackeys/assistants? and, has she met Nina and N. Gin? if so, what does she think about them? :3

OOOOOH This is such an excellent question! 🤩🤩🤩 Thank you so much anon!!! 🤩💝💝

R. Marie's official duty as a subordinate to Cortex is to oversee and command the lesser minions and especially the assistants (the tall skinny nerd guys with glasses that are all over the place as enemies throughout the Crash games). That being said, she doesn't really put much faith or value in their abilities or see them as on the same level as herself, she sees them as just underlings at best and treats them as such. I mean, she is evil, after all. From the assistants' points of view, they're all pretty much afraid of her and try to stay out of her way, ESPECIALLY when she's in the middle of one of her infamous rages.

Also, yes she has met Nina, and she absolutely LOVES her. That's probably one of R. Marie's favorite parts about being with Cortex, sure he's aggravating but OMG FREE DAUGHTER 💖💖💖💖 R. Marie became super protective and loving of Nina (perhaps even more than Cortex is :0c ) very quickly and wants to mentor her in the ways of evil, especially to show her how FUN it can be!! And even tho Nina can be a bit of an edgy tween, she thinks R. Marie is really cool and wants to be just as bad as her when she grows up. Nina probably wouldn't say that out loud but it's more than obvious from how she always wants to spend time with R. Marie and help out with any deadly weapons she might be building >:P

As for N. Gin... OOOOH BOY I've been wanting to talk about this for a while. N. Gin fucking HATES R. Marie, in his head they have a very heated rivalry over Cortex's attention and admiration, but in reality R. Marie knows she doesn't even need to TRY to have Cortex's attention constantly on her, and this is a fact that she loves to rub in N. Gin's half-metal face >:3 However, in the opposite direction, N. Gin is just slightly better than her at building elaborate machines, which is something he loves to constantly gloat about and it pisses her off more than anything because technically he IS right. So they have this fun little dynamic of constantly being one step away from just killing each other hsbxbf

And ok I know in your ask you didn't specify this BUT, I also wanted to talk about N. Brio cuz I like him! And R. Marie thinks he's cool too, his expertise in chemicals and potions is something she probably couldn't ever do herself so she appreciates his unique abilities, plus, at one time the both of them had separate plans to betray Cortex so even if that ship has sailed, they've still bonded over that fact :P And from N. Brio's perspective, he can plainly see how intelligent and capable R. Marie is as a villain and he actually tries to encourage her to do her own thing, feeling like her talents are wasted if she's "stuck taking orders" from Cortex. Basically he knows that she can do better, and in a way she knows that he's right, but at this point cuz of those damned emotions, she's content staying where she is.
