Reminder to witches that is possible to be spiritual while not be ableist!

I am wheelchair user, was Christmas shopping other day and went to book shop. Looking at spirituality section and another woman there too. Completely unprompted started talking about how she watched videos (or something) of out of body experiences. Apparently seen people be ‘healed’ while having these experiences? Examples she gave were blind people being able to see, even pointed at me and said ‘people in wheelchair get up and walk’! As an ambulatory user was tempted to get up and stand just to shut her up, but was worried about reaction and also had lots of stuff on lap.

Don’t ever say things like that to disabled people! Especially not strangers? Promise we don’t want to hear about being healed from random person.

Hiii!!!! I just have a random question. I started my own blog and I feel like my master list is not nearly full enough and it’s something I worry about. However, I know if I force it, it will be trash, since part of the reason I started it was to work on my writing skills. So I guess my question is, what gets your creativity flowing? Also do you ever make yourself write, or do you just let it come to you?

I mean, sometimes it is just easier to write than others? Personally it helps if I can fully envision the scene unfolding and have dialogue planned out beforehand, having music to listen to, knowing what mood is right? Most of the smut pieces on here I’ve written after having a nice meal, changed my sheets, washed my hair, and just generally gotten myself into a comfortable mood so that I’m ready and happy to write, so I think genuinely doing things for yourself can have a big influence on how you feel about creating fics :)

It can also feel stressful when first starting to write fanfiction and I think that’s a pretty normal experience! I think if you have a goal you’re eager to reach, going slow or even at a regular pace of not pumping fics out left right and centre can make it feel like you aren’t doing enough, which is not the case! I’d say most of the fics I write take a minimum of three days but that’s if I’m scrambling to finish something! For example Desk Pet took I think two weeks to write, and The Other Woman I think was closer to a month and a half—both of them written over the holidays when I wasn’t posting anything, so it’s perfectly okay to take your time and remember that you aren’t in any rush to do your best 🧡💛

That being said, I still do strongly recommend doing nice things for yourself—genuine self care can go a long way, and I’m not talking about the commercialised kind of having a twelve-step, rigorous skin care routine, or going on a ten mile run (though if that works for you, go for it!) More like if there’s a special kind of instant noodles you like, grab a pot! If there’s a cozy jumper/t-shirt you feel good and safe in, settle into that! Anything to make you feel happy I think will always be a step in the right direction 🧡💛

I promise I'm gonna get on top of these and stay that way one of these days -

Tramp couldn't stop wagging his little tail in excitement, messing up every blanket on the large, cushy bed, much to his fox companions dismay. Etta was currently trying to curl up in her self designated spot, ears lying flat against her head as she watches the mutt through narrowed eyes.

"Darling, settle down. We're meant to be getting ready for bed."

"I am getting ready for bed! I gotta find a good spot."

She could see using reason was going to be entirely pointless here, laying her head against her paws with a lighthearted sigh. Rather he'd get nice and comfortable now and not spend the whole night tossing and turning.

"What's all this I hear about going to bed?"

Both little heads spun at the deep voice, ears perking in excitement as King Moonracer strolled into the room, the bed creaking under his weight as he hefted himself up with a grunt.

"You no there's no bedtime without storytime, especially now with the island so empty."

"Yessir yessir! I'm ready for storytime! Always ready!"

Apparently he was finally ready to settle down too, doing one last spin before flopping right where he could nuzzle into the King's soft stomach fur. The lion tilted his head to really put some thought into it, crossing one paw over the other.

"I did recently go by one of those dry lands, where snow doesn't ever seem to reach. I flew over a colorful land full of all different types of people, especially children running and screaming in joy. The buildings were all large, bright, and had long lines of people outside waiting to visit them. They even had a castle! And so many beautiful princes walking and chatting with the kids. Truly a sight to behold.

I'll have to be going back soon, maybe you two can join me. I know there are toys in need of all kinds there."

"Oh wow... Multiple princes? Their castle must be huge..."

Etta looked dazzled at the description of this fantastical place, her heart fluttering at the idea of taking a visit. The icy tundras were beautiful, but she missed seeing new locations.

"How bout you, Etta? Feel like sharin' ?"

"Oh well... I have been thinking about this time I was lost in what humans call a "thrift store" for a short time.. Jumped off the shelf when no one was looking and couldn't find my way back up. I met many interesting characters in that little building, I bet a lot of them would fit in here actually!

There were collectables like me, dolls who'd been decorated by their girls, little trucks with nowhere to drive, stick horses with no one to ride them.. and the sweetest Shepard I've ever met! He let me back to our shelf, and had so many adorable fluffy sheep. I wonder if he ever found a home, or if he stayed to keep guiding toys who needed help..."

"I've seen shops like this, been inside a few of them. They're always amazing places."
