Carmy x Glasses reader dump incoming!!! 🧂

HIEEE OKAY YEAH I'm really liking the glasses cleaning but let's take it one step at a time...

I think it starts with you asking him if he can clean your glasses with his shirt. We've all been there--we're wearing the wrong shirt with the wrong material, and all it does is smudge around the grease on the lenses.

"How d'you even see in these?" He mutters, holding your glasses up to the light. It's speckled and streaked with oils. If it was anyone else, you'd be rolling his eyes, but he's so genuinely concerned that it makes you smile.

"They've been worse," you answer honestly. He just shakes his head, and you laugh. He fogs up the glass with his breath before rubbing it with the end of his t-shirt. After a minute, he looks up at you with an expression you can't place. "What's wrong?"

"My...shirt's too dirty to clean this," he confesses in distress, and it makes you burst into laughter. The intensity fades from his face, and he smiles, just as amused.

That's how the two of you end up in the kitchen. He's gently rubbing the pads of his fingers across you glasses with dish soap and cold water. It'll get the dirt and oils off the best, he says.

"I really didn't mean to make you do all this," you say. You're standing next to him at the sink. Your vision's pretty blurry, but you can still follow what he's doing.

"You didn't make me do anything." He turns off the faucet and grabs a clean towel to dry it off. Just as you think he's about to give it back to you, he stops and stares.

"Is there something on my face?"

"No. I was just thinking you're really pretty. But..." He tenderly slips your glasses back onto your face. "I really like getting to see you like this, too," he says, and his affectionate smile is in full clarity.

"Holy shit, this is so clean," you blurt out in surprise.

"Isn't that better?" He tilts his head to the side, nudges your glasses with his index finger. "Pretty."

"You're pretty," you object, your face warming, and his smile just gets even bigger.
