A small smirk grazed Willy's lips at Leo's insistence. It was kind of her to think she needed to care for him so, even if a little unnecessary. He'd been doing just fine for the past few days. Although, the only reason she hadn't found out sooner is it had been much easier to hide. Now, though...Well, his body ached. And, quite frankly, he hadn't had a good night's sleep the past few days either. He supposed, though, he should have expected this to happen. Diving in the middle of 60 degree waters to collect ingredients for his chocolates hadn't exactly been one of his smartest ideas. But the colder waters were where they were the freshest! It had been a sacrifice he was willing to make, though he hadn't considered the more long term consequences.

"Thank you," he hummed with a little nod as he took the tea into his hands. The warm steam was enough to relax him just a little for the time being, a warm smile gracing his features. "The little orange man? Well...I suppose he and a few others could take over for a little while, but..." He swallowed, grimacing at the pain in his throat. Perhaps she was right...

"Well, I don't know. I can't just ask that of them..It's a lot of work to put on such a small group of such small people..." Besides that, he wanted to keep working. Making chocolates was not just a job for Mr. Wonka, it was a lifestyle. What would he do with himself if he had to stop?! Still, her words were very convincing...

"Ah, well, you are right about that..."

✩. The fog had caught him by surprise, rolling across the deck of the Thousand Sunny in the blink of an eye. One second, a clear night sky. The next, an environment far too akin to another for his comfort. Unpredictability was simply the nature of the Grandline, he recognized that. Yet... he couldn’t deny that the change was disquieting, making his heart ( if he had one ) tighten in his chest.

But there was no use on dwelling in the past ! That was behind him, and he could prove it. He would prove it. Humming a familiar tune — play that song Brook ! My favorite song — he walked across the deck in long strides. It was still odd to believe that he could leave the past in the past.

...He could ! There was no point in trying to convince himself otherwise, when the sun would shine upon him again. Ghosts might never cease to haunt him, it was foolish to think otherwise when he was so close to them, but he refused to let them prevent him from living the rest of his second life fully any longer.

So why wouldn’t he stop thinking about them ? Was a little fog truly enough to make him doubt ? What if next time, it was during a battle ? Or when his straw-hat captain asked for a song ? This was ridiculous of him—

“ Eek — ! ” the sudden question cutting through his thoughts, startling him and causing him to nearly jump out of his skin ( but he didn’t have any ! ). Turning around, Brook — almost caught sight of a different blond man — noticed their cook staring at him. Had he disturbed the other ? How embarrassing !

“ I didn’t see you there, Sanji-san— ah ! Not that I have any eyes to see, yohohoho ! ” how long had he been wandering for ? It was always difficult to understand time within fog. Troublesome, troublesome, “ Did I wake you up ? ”

"Leon," there's a breath of tired exasperation at those words as Auburn's arm falls to her side. Hand had ruffled, stressed, through her hair -- though fleeting at the other's grasp for something that can't be. Her needing him... that's a fairytale they can't chase anymore. She won't chase it ( AND YET ODDLY ENOUGH, YOU'VE CHASED HIM HERE ). There's a dwindling silence as she looks into his eyes, firmly, though its gesture is far from romantic. Resigned... exhausted, and yet oddly mourning. She turns away, holstering her gun.

You and Ichika were having your classic practice date when both of you just played ransoms songs which happen to be mostly Miku songs on guitars and sometimes even singing them!

You decided to surprise your girlfriend by randomly playing one of the songs that always caught your heart, "Therefore You and Me", also known as "Yueni Yuu en Mi". At first she looked at you in slight confusion but soon recognizes the song and grabs her own guitar swiftly joining your play. As for singing, she let you finish first verse with admirable smile and joined you in the chorus.

As for second verse, it was you who let her take the main part as you sang side lines.

"hitori no ohashi ♪~~"

"sun tarazu de ♪~"

"hitori no kutsu ♪~~"

"chikara busoku de ♪~"

It's easy to say both of you had lots of fun doing so! And surprisingly, you didn't even talked about who sing what part in song and yet you were guessing extremely well! As if you had plenty of practice when it was just random song you thought of in the moment.

﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌﹌

You managed to convince Nene to do a mini concert with you! You know she's not the most confident when it comes to private concerts like that, and it's rare to even catch her humming when she knows there's someone else around. But since she asked you to help her with confidence a bit... that's actually a great practice!

The moment you two were together, you grabbed your guitar and notes.

"Ready Nene?"

"Y-Yeah... I think so..!"

And that was the moment when you began to play! It was a while untill she began to sing along. In fact, it was a bit awkward at first but soon she got comfortable and you could hear she was singing a bit more confidently now.

It was honestly admirable sight because you could for once see her relaxed. Maybe it wasn't anywhere need public solo concert but it definitely was your special moment and one big step forward for your girlfriend!

The idea of singing something together was honestly just a random thought that popped into your mind... You were just hanging out at Kanade's place with your guitar on your lap since you wanted to have some sort of entertainment as your girlfriend creates her music, and maybe even help her get some nice ideas!

"Hey Kanade! Wanna sing 'Yueni Yuu en Mi' with me?"

"Ah- sure, why not! I guess it's time for small break..."

And that was honestly the answer you wanted to hear! So as soon as you hears it, you grabbed your guitar and without second thought began to play the well known song. And your girlfriend for one, was more than happy to sing it along with you!

"yueni yuu en mii yuu en mii yuu en mii, raburabu ♪~~"

You knew the gray haired girl hat soothing voice but this song was literally perfect for her voice! You had to be careful not to fall asleep or loose the tempe to her voice.

Well... maybe if you ask she'll agree to hum this song as you nap next to her?

TL Note:

The verb to “gather/collect/pick (狩る)” fruits, mushrooms, nuts, shellfish etc. shares the same word with “hunting (狩る)” people/animals.

Touri: …Oh, sorry! Hiyori-sama just told us off but things are starting to get gloomy again~

We’re having a party today, so we should be in a happier and brighter mood…

Hiyori: Exactly ♪ But well, I suppose there’s no need to force yourself to act that way.

It’s true one can force themselves to shine brightly if they break their heart into little pieces and turn it into fuel. But you’ll lose “yourself” if you continue to do that for a long time.

Eichi: Hehe. You sound like you speak from experience. It’s only because you did that very thing for a long time, so you became an empty person, right?

Hiyori: It’s far better than being someone made up of filth like you, Eichi-kun.

Touri: …………

Hiyori: Aha! How adorable ♪ Touri-kun, you always look hurt whenever I badmouth Eichi-kun, don’t you?

Touri: Oh, umm, I’m sorry!

Hiyori: You don’t have to apologise! Everyone has something they treasure that they don’t want to get dirtied – It’s a good thing ♪

There, there ♪ Eichi-kun truly is cruel to hurt and not care about such an angel-like child.

Eichi: Do you enjoy using Touri as an excuse to curse at me?

Well, nevermind that. I’ll be repeating myself but today is a party – it’s supposed to be a no-holds-barred type of gathering tonight…

So you should use this opportunity to spew out all of your accumulated resentment.

Hiyori: This is a party held exactly for that reason, after all.

Tsukasa: That’s right. You might not know, Anzu Onee-sama, but this Party is an annual event.

It’s generally held a little earlier, though – near the end of the year.

Eichi: Yeah. It’s a gathering of the area’s most influential individuals to show appreciation for one another. That’s the main goal behind this party.

Hiyori: In other words, it’s what you would call an end-of-year party!

Eichi: Hehe. As expected of the prodigal son of the Tomoe family – you’re well-versed in the culture of the commoners.

Hiyori: Must you hit a nerve every time you open that mouth of yours?

Touri: Umm, but the Tenshouin Zaibatsu– I mean, Eichi-sama was busy handling “SS”…

Hiyori: It wasn’t just Eichi-kun – You, Tsukasa-kun and I also had our hands full with work.

The units who didn’t get seed rights during the “SS” qualifying rounds weren’t allowed to return to their hometowns, either.

This party was supposed to be held at the end of the year, but it ended up being held at this time instead.

Eichi: Yeah. It’s an odd time considering it’s not the end of the year nor the end of the fiscal year. But it’s a party held with those purposes – Please relax and enjoy yourselves.

I hope you can clear away the dark feelings that have accumulated like dregs and move forward towards the future feeling refreshed.

We’ve also prepared the annual “special event” that will help with that. It’s a fun little event that takes place every year at the dead of night…

Touri: Ohh… That’s what the adults get up to on the night of the party every year, huh.

I was wondering what it was all about, but I wasn’t allowed to take part because I was told I’m still too young, so I don’t know the details.

Tsukasa: Yes. Touri-kun and I gave in to our curiosity when we were younger once and snuck out to see what was going on, though.

Touri: Oh~ Yeah, that happened. We were caught right away and didn’t get to see anything in the end.

Tsukasa: You speak as if it was someone else’s problem. I had said we shouldn’t but you were the one who forced me to go along with you.

Touri: What? No. It looked like you would go on your own if I didn’t say anything, so I went with you out of worry and kindness!

Tsukasa: Could your brain only come up with a convenient excuse?

Touri: Right back at you.

Eichi: Hehe. I have a similar memory with Hiyori-kun.

Hiyori: Very unfortunate for me, though.

Eichi: History repeats itself… But I’m sorry if I got your hopes up. There’s not much to the “adult event”.

It’s just a simple recreational activity like hide and seek or tag – just games for children, you see.

The name of the game is called “Clam Digging”[⁎], by the way.

Touri: “Clam Digging”...? You’re gonna go out into the cold sea in the middle of the night to dig for clams? How come?

Hiyori: Strangely enough, we’re not digging for clams. No one knows why it has that name.

It seems the activity has been continuously held every year without fail for a very long time, though.

The game itself has changed over these many years and has been now reduced to a mere shell of its name, so those who live in the current age no longer know what it truly is about.

Eichi: Yeah. “Clam Digging” is a secret game – a mysterious ritual. The origins of the game are gradually forgotten every time there is a new head in the family.

Despite the true essence of the game having been lost and forgotten, there hasn’t been a good reason to stop the tradition, so it has continued to exist today.

“That’s just how we do things” – That’s what tradition is like, after all.

We still hold funerals for the dead and offer incense, imitating the actions of the other attendees, despite not belonging to any religion ourselves. All because “that’s how we do things”.

That would depend on the verse. In his main verse, Alaire is a very talented dancer simply because he spends a lot of his time leaning new things when he isn't working on art. Though he's good at it, he can still be shy about dancing in front of others. Dancing with another person is a lot less scary though and he feels a lot more confident. His dancing is in no way stiff.

I think in any verse he'd prefer to dance with someone. Dancing is likely something he'd end up wanting to learn in any verse just because it looks fun.

Willy could tell the boy was shocked, perhaps a bit starstruck upon realizing just who he was. A small chuckle reached his lips at his questioning. "That's me! Willy Wonka, at your service," he greeted warmly, giving a slight bow at the waist and a tip of his hat. "And of course! But not without a little help from some good friends of mine," he admitted with a wink. The chocolatier pointed his cane toward the other workers in the factory all dressed in their bright pink costumes, happily helping to keep things running smoothly.

"For free? Goodness, why of course!" Mr. Wonka beamed, shocked the young man thought him so greedy as to give out samples at a price. "Consider these a sample," he remarked, plucking a nearby flower and passing it to him. "And you're welcome to as many of those samples as you please!"

Of course, there were chocolates for sale, but those were sold for merely 1 sovereign a piece. Many people would take home edible baskets full, but if they chose to eat while they were in the factory Willy didn't mind letting them have whatever they wanted for free! In his minimal experience, people didn't take advantage of that fact. And if they did, who cared? Clearly they really needed something to eat if they were so desperate to steal chocolate from the floor.

For a moment, his gaze is caught by the man who shuffles past, offering a bright smile and a tip of his hat with a soft apology for being in the way. Willy begins, then, to guide the young man out of the flow of traffic with one hand still on his shoulder, leaning down a bit so he could better hear what he had to say. Alas, the boy had suddenly grown rather quiet, perhaps a bit timid to ask the chocolate-maker for anything.

"Hm? What's that," he hummed, tilting his head to one side to hear him better. He'd found the closer others stood to his right side, the better he could hear...strangely enough.

"Chocolates to help with what, now?"

“sweetheart…it’s cuddle night.”

Dan was seconds from exiting the home when the words filtered out from the woman who'd finished her bath moments ago. He turned with every expectation to tell her he wasn't going to be gone too late tonight because he knew that. Not that they needed a designated night, but some planning ahead was always good for them and their busy schedules. Tonight was also one of his freer nights to go have a drink with some of the guys from the station, but he often didn't stay long and tonight he definitely wasn't planning to. He enjoyed his time more with Donna, especially since they'd finally found a routine that worked for their relationship. It's what had him ready to tell her he wasn't going to be gone long, but even before the words could leave his lips he was struck silent by her state.

She was in a robe, her post-bath robe to be exact, with the tie holding it together but shoulders slipping off. He wasn't sure if she was trying to be any form of anything with him, but he couldn't help the way his blood warmed through him at the sight. She was stunning. Always was, but something about the glow of the water after her bath had him turning away from the door to face @witchw00d more. He stared at her with a slight gawk to his expression, having to swallow a breath before speaking, "And as far as I'm concerned that can start whenever..." he didn't have to go to drinks.

Blog post time... Another Sky verse so far + recording pieces of the Neocities on Tumblr!

So far I plan to publish the epic science fantasy book 1 of Another Sky verse, as well as an accompanying side light novel that can be read first or second or without reading the first book at all! If querying turns out differently, however, I'm unsure about the light novel...

I'm planning on doing a few more revisions that might take some time for Another Sky verse's book 1 (which I'm putting off rereading too, to give myself time to see it fresh)... Though I originally wanted to make the light novel longer, I'm thinking about getting alpha readers for it already, since I've been engrossed in writing epic fantasy book 2 and just stressing over expanding the light novel in general. 💦💦 WE'LL SEE.

In truth I made this blog post in part to record pieces of my Neocities site for Another Sky verse. I'm very proud of it and excited to show it off more. Thank you @ the world for 100 unique visitors. ♪ᕕ ( ᐛ)ᕗ

The main 4 of the light novel, who are part of the main 6 from the main novels! I don't have art for Khaleel and Leo yet, or otherwise I would have added them. I love these 4... Even though I added the latest addition of the site to the Internet Archive, I want to drop historical notes or something in different social medias.

I was surprised by how many methods you told me to remove the bones that I'd never heard beforeー！！！

The main answer was 「Put the saury on your plate and remove the spine」

Mama wanted to try it so she bought more saury today、but just enough for herself。

Gundam was popular of course！

Gundam… is something I really don't know anything about…

But my dad likes them and just from what you all said they seem really amazing〜 I wonder where I could see some〜

And one more thing！

In yesterday's blog I mentioned 「Green grapes」、but they were actually Shine Muscat grapes！

There are so many varieties of green grapes〜How Shocking〜

I found these potato crisps the other day！

These were really、really delicious！

They were a pretty basic flavour with a really strong taste of wasabi！

They also used katsuobushi so they tasted really Japanese which was amazing♪

Personally I think this might be my favourite flavour of potato crisps！

I want to try dipping them in soy sauce too…

Speaking of which the same store just so happened to be selling soy sauce today。

Maybe I'll try it next time I visit…！

It was my first time eating potato crisps in ages、and I was surprised by how delicious they were〜

This is a sideblog, and I follow back from my main @grimmusings. Please direct IMs there, since it's easier for me to keep all my messages on one blog. All details vary based on verse, but in general I pull Gwen from Earth-65 comics, specifically in Seanan McGuire's run where she's blown her secret identity on Earth-65 and is attending college on Earth-616. She now goes by Ghost-Spider, and her powers come from her symbiote rather than a radioactive spider bite.

Her Ticket to the Multiverse pendant is intact, so it's very easy to write her into crossover AUs/dimensions as needed. She's going to assume most other comics muses are familiar with the multiverse, so if you don't want her rambling about that to them, please let me know!

This is by no means a comprehensive list, and I can roll with most muses as far as basic interactions. I’m happy to ship Gwen with other comics characters and OCs/fandom crossovers based on chemistry, but unless they’re on my OTP list, they need plotting and interaction first. 616: Same as above, including Gwen's escapades on Earth-616 where her secret identity is still intact. She gets her college degree there and basically uses Peter Parker's Earth as her summer home.

dark!murderdock: While Gwen is working for Earth-65's Matt Murdock (Kingpin), her father is killed in prison by the Rhino. Devastated, she succumbs to her rage and the symbiote, and she goes full villain working for Kingpin.
