I didn't think I was attracted to women in part due to the whole narrative of "everyone likes women and wants to hold their hands and maybe grab their boobs a little," but also in part due to the fact that the things that the vast majority of people attracted to women are into are not things I personally am attracted to.

This isn't a judgment value or anything, I'm not ~better~ or ~special~ or ~not like other gays~ or whatever, I'm just saying. You owe it to yourself to look at different kinds of people of all genders and see what you're attracted to. It's not like you're any less gay if you're only into butch women or men in skirts or waifish nonbinary twigs or anyone as long as they look like they could bench press you or or or or.

Because a lot of the outfits people find beautiful or sexy on women I find really unappealing, and because that was the only view of "sexy woman" I was seeing, the fact I didn't find it sexy led me to believe I didn't find women sexy. Maybe this is less of a problem now that kids have like, the internet, but it never hurts to cast a wide net of [eyes emoji] and really ask yourself, am I into that? And hey, if at the end of the day you're only into Linda Hamilton specifically as she is in Terminator: Dark Fate, that's still something you know about yourself now.

So I hear a lot of people say that Hamilton is overrated.

And I'm gonna say it right off the bat, Yes. It is.

But you know WHY so many people liked Hamilton?

Did you ever think that it was because IT'S GOOD?

Yeah. So Hamilton is not my favorite musical, but it is one that I cherish very dearly, it is my 8th favorite musical.

I think Hamilton is very good show, with catchy music, good sets and actors, etc.

lando lives rent free in so many people's heads in this fandom that i'm honestly embarrassed for them. like i'm not even particularly a fan of his, i like him well okay but he's not one of my faves, but he really isn't any better or worse than any other driver. it's like they've built up this mythical version of him in their minds where he is this awful person/terrible teammate/overrated driver or whatever and every time he proves them wrong their parasocial hatred of him grows and it's become this endess cycle. as someone who's kinda neutral on him it's a fascinating phenomenon to watch. like seriously people go outside and get some air and concentrate on just supporting the drivers you like.

The entire picture around sainz amazes me. Like how you're going to rate him so high, how you're going to compare him against charles when he has one good race every 8 f1 weekends, how you going to call him better than Hamilton, how you going to say he's the best driver on the grid after max and then turn around and ask "is carlos sainz underrated"

Exactly. It's so funny imo for the media to be like "is CS underrated?" and make his ex/current teammate answer that question (which, like, wtf else are they going to say, they're hardly going to start beef in a press conference with him sitting right there lmao.) If anything he's overrated. As you said, he can be completely anonymous for multiple races in a row but one good weekend and he's suddenly better than Charles and basically on par with Max and should get the Red Bull seat. Not to mention Ferrari must be regretting "getting rid of the wrong driver." Okay? 🤨

Even at his lowest I think he gets a lot of grace. Outside the pool of British drivers he's basically the British pundit/journos golden child; the likes of Lawrence Barretto and Damon Hill consistently prop him up and add to this narrative of him being the "worthier" Ferrari driver, the faster one, the one with more prowess and exemplary leadership skills. Also the "consummate professional and dedicated team player." Yeah, until he starts binning planned strategies or impeding his teammate. 😑

The disappointing thing is, this is and will likely continue to be the mainstream narrative as long as these weekends happen. It's something I've noticed among "casuals" as well — unless you are deeply invested in the Ferrari ecosystem and constantly and closely following the developments, the interviews, the drivers' team radios, etc, the perception is basically: Even when Charles qualifies on pole he loses out to Max, sometimes even in the early laps of the race, and then can't manage to regain the lead, ergo he is ineffective; Carlos, meanwhile, "gets the job done" and, well, wins, ergo he is effective, Ferrari's sole hero, etc.

Obviously there's lots of factors that influence a race weekend or result. Hell, things might have looked different if Ferrari hadn't implemented team orders pretty much as soon as Max was out of the picture. We know this. But a lot of people don't, either through plain ignorance, or because they willingly dismiss the context in favour of the face value results, and the face value results say Carlos is the only non-RB race winner in the past year. And unfortunately the only way for this narrative to change is for Charles to, well, win. (I know we're only three races in and by all accounts Ferrari seem better equipped to challenge Red Bull this year than last year, so he may get a few opportunities to do so, but yeah. Carlos has been undoubtedly very lucky to always be in the right place at the right time to take advantage of the rare Red Bull mishap, and Charles needs to make sure he's putting himself in that position too, especially if the car is struggling in dirty air. Figures that the one time he broke his front row streak Max would have reliability issues 😭)

Also imo the hype is magnified by the fact that he's the someone other than Max that people desperately want to see winning. So much so that the "how" doesn't even matter anymore. The race was objectively boring but a lot of people are hyping it up and artificially bumping up the enjoyment meter just because the end result was a non-Max win. So he's got that on his side as well. But for me, I think how the race is won matters as well. Both times he took advantage of Max/Red Bull having a rare off day. Which, fine, this sport is about luck and capitalizing on these opportunities when they present themselves, I get that. But the real breakthrough will come when Ferrari is able to keep up with and beat Red Bull in the race on merit, not because they just got lucky. The closest we got to that so far is Vegas. If they can do that this year then we can start saying that Red Bull's got serious competition. Making thinkpieces out of hypotheticals because Max had a debilitating, race-ending issue with his car is not it.

Yup!! I think it’s because my smart home device kept automatically playing Room Where it Happens while I put on some songs to listen to while drawing on the past couple weeks or so.

Now, this show is so excellent all around (yes, some people call it overrated, but come on, people, it got popular for a reason, and I still love it) but can we agree that Room Where it Happens might be at least one of, if not the best numbers??

Leslie Odom Jr. is so incredible. I can’t get enough of his voice and just his overall performance as Burr.

Anyway, I guess I was also thinking about Hamilton again, because fun fact, my sister went to the same college that Lin-Manuel Miranda went to, and one of her friends got to meet him in person:

For starters, Jimmy's name is Judelyn Inge Neutron, and her nickname being Jully. The name "Judelyn" implies that you are a natural born leader, highly focused, and achievment oriented. I took the name "Inge" from Inge Lehmann, a female scientist that discovered the Earth's core. The name also originated from old Norse meaning Hero's daughter, and Ing's protecting (Ing was the Norse God of peace and fertility.) The name/nickname "Jully" means a tendency to exhibit extremes in terms of material success.

Timmy's name is Theodosia Teresa Turner (Timantha Turner is overrated and that's an actual character from FOP:TNG), and her nickname being Tracy. Theodosia means "God's gift" and I wanted to add a tad bit of Hamilton. Teresa is associated with free-spirit (Fun fact: apparently, people named Teresa often make quick and reckless decisions especially on dangerous sittuations and I find it hilarious because Timmy does the same thing). Tracy means "War-like" "Fighter" and "Brave Warrior".

OKAY! Now that's out of the way, here's a WARNING: My idea is ENTIRELY different from Mushoki's based on the captions and tags. Just a heads up <333

Tracy is a runaway Sorceress from her homeland and works as the Royal family's Royal spy and is disguised as their Vice-Head Maid. Jully is a well-know witch that is somehow seen as a threat to the people of Dimmsdale and the Royal family's eyes. She travels from land-to-land and Island-to-Island with her Great wolf Goddard who's normally disguised as a normal looking wolf.

Jully and Tracy met when The King of Dimmsdale ordered Tracy to spy and guard Mythico Forest at midnight near Dimmsdale due to the rumors they've heard from the people of Dimmsdale. Few days passed and Tracy didn't get any proper rest. She didn't have the energy to fight back when a Black Bear appeared and attacked her. Luckily for Tracy, a person in a silhouette of red appeared in front of her. The last thing she saw was magic being cast before Tracy completely passed out.

Then she woke up and the first thing she saw was an unfamiliar ceiling that looked like it's made out of Mystic Wood based on the purple color. Tracy heard a feminine voice and was absolutely flushed when she saw the girl.

I mean, how can you not when this random woman in a non-typical witch costume leaned towards you and rested a hand on your cheek to your forehead and asked if you're alright if you're feeling nauseous if you feel pain anywhere.

Bonus point because she wears glasses. Fucking glasses.

Tracy introduced herself in a not-so semi-formal way due to her stutters and shaking. The witch laughed it off lowly and introduced herself as Jully.

And dear God, oh my God is Tracy panicking.

Tracy tried her best to not burst when Jully lied her back down to the bed and tuck her in to keep her warm and cozy. And the warm wet towel???? She put on her head???? Oh my God????

Tracy almost combusted.

Now rewind 30 minutes ago and imgaine you're Jully and you found a random cloaked woman near your house near passing out while getting attacked by a Black Bear so you have no choice but to scare away said Black Bear and decide if you should bring a random girl to your house or leave her be to rot.

Jully hear a thud and looked at the now passed out girl behind her. Out of curiosity, she took of said girl's cloak oh is she awestruck.

Said passed out girl had brown hair tied in a ponytail, and her bucktooth is shown. Her skin a frail but beautiful satin color and an unnoticable scar on her cheek. Overall, she looked peacful if you ignore the dark eyebags and her warm flushed red face and her heavy breathing.

Wait shit.

Miss girl got too mesmerized that she didn't notice that she's sick lmao. So without any further hesitations, Jully scooped her up and flew to her house with her staff.

30 minutes passed and finally said girl was awake. Said girl introduced herself and claimed that her name is Tracy, Jully introduced herself back with a calm expression but in reality, she's fucking screaming.

WHY IS SHE SO CUTE!? that's what she's thinking. God these bitches are gay as fuck.

Tracy learned that Jully is the so-called "threat" but considering that the witch bassically saved her life, she let her off and promised not to turn her in or snitch on her which Jully is very grateful for.

Tracy continued to guard Mythico forest while visiting Jully along with it. Then they kiss then the kingdom found out then they made a public execution for Jully but Tracy stopped them and proved her innocence then the kingdom stopped seeing Jully as a threat then Jully and Tracy kissed again then they got married then adopted kids htenkajshfkjahfkjshkdgk

Week 4!

Right, sooooo --

Maybe I am a little late, BUT in my defense, I was travelling and petting horses. I may have gotten a little distracted.

Anyways -- here's week 4!

We walked the Karangahake Gorge, and took a trip through the ruins of an old refinery. The rails lead to a tunnel, used to transport metals and equipment through to the mines. It was interesting to walk through them, almost in complete darkness, and imagine the various people walk the same path I was. For years, this place was the place of work and living of hundreds of people. And now, the forest is taking over.

We spent two days in Rotorua, and dear GOD is the smell not a joke. I usually don't mind strong smells, but the sulfur in the air, and the heaviness of vapour sometimes made it hard to breathe.

The steam melted with the clouds, and the whole thing had an eery yet calm look. It felt wondrous to see the water bubbling through the surface, the heavy steam fogging up my glasses and my camera.

The Hamilton Gardens are not overrated, and I will stand by that. But the most wonderful part to me, the part that really got the child in me running excitedly from corner to corner was the fantasy garden. The bushes were mechanized, and the decor was oversized (by a lot). I felt like Alice in Wonderland, walking into a mysterious space, with big eyes and an open heart.

Now Hobbiton was a treat. The attention to details, and the gardens - gosh the gardens! - everything made it feel so whimsical and tangible. I had a lovely time. Walking around, talking excitedly about when this or that appears in the movies, or how beautiful it would be to live here, surrounded by rolling green hills and sheep - so many sheep. It was a birthday treat to myself, and really, it was a good gift. I have great taste.

Just because Lewis has more followers on certain SM platforms doesn't mean he can't benefit from a different fan base. Lando appeals to a younger demographic and it's pretty obvious that the sport is pushing him as the next big thing. Even here on Tumblr, there are more people following the lando norris tag than the Lewis Hamilton one. Also, yes, to befriend someone who openly disparages him to the media and undermines his accomplishments makes Lewis look silly. It makes him look like he low-key agrees with Lando implying that he's overrated. So I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

I was unable to watch the race (“love” working in the medical field) but I watched the timing screen on the F1 app. Here are some stuff I am questioning:

1) Why did the last Nascar race’s last 2 laps and results have me biting my nails more than any F1 race has in the past 2 and a half years?

2) While 2021 was controversial, atleast we got some action and fighting and edge-of-seat results.

3) How is it possible for the current world champion’s teammate to be so far behind him and yet they have the same car? They barely matched lap times and at one point, Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso was almost on the exact lap time as the race leader.

4) F1 is so fucking boring I was more entertained by the papers I was cutting and writing for work than the time sheet and commentary on my phone.

5) Yuki needs to chill the fuck out. When asked by your team to swop places, you swop places. You don’t go screaming on the radio. The aggressive reactions of any driver is overrated. Dude your sport is boring, why are you screaming? (This goes to all drivers who scream on their race engineers, dude is just the messenger. Don’t come with the “you’re just saying that because he is of Asian origin.” Don’t)

Pinnacle of Motorsport? My ass yes! I’d honestly rather watch WEC, IndyCar and Nascar than this bullshit. There is more action off track (i.e. Christian Horner) than on track. And no hate to Redbull at this point, no hate to Max Verstappen, but hate to F1 because they created this chaos and now? I’m paying to watch the same results as last year? I’ll rather watch F1 News because that is more entertaining.

If by Race 4 the races are still the same over and over, I’m simply cancelling my F1TV subscription because I am not spending money on nothing. I’ll check the race results online. I’m subscribed to F1’s instagram whatever.
