On the one hand, I love to reread my own posts because that's content tailor-made to focus on the things I like to think about! I agree with all of these opinions and interpretations!

But on the other hand it's a dangerous game because there's always the chance that I'll find a typo in a post from six months ago that I proofread three times before posting and now has lots of reblogs.

Well ... Thera rolled some of the part-finished Sauv Blanc around in a glass, light catching on the liquid as it did, You can't win 'em all.

Maybe not ... but did she have to lose that hard? She worked herself up to take another sip, already regretting that she'd poured it at all - but she'd brought the bottle home so it wouldn't go to waste, and she didn't want it to do so now. It bit on her tongue a little more than it should, and would definitely be her only one as she tried to figure out exactly how and when everything went wrong.

He's not human. How much of that was a reason, and how much an excuse? She'd dated other not-humans in her time, but they had at least been based on Earth. There hadn't been (to her knowledge, at least) any actual aliens.

Perhaps she should just accept that it hadn't worked out, and go back to being friends? Yeah, that was probably wise.

She'd finish her wine, get some sleep, and in the morning ... maybe get away for a while. Somewhere around the Mediterranean sounded good ...
