hey! i saw that you were interested in fashion and styling and kibbe and i was wondering if you have thoughts on soobin and yeonjun switching outfits for the act sweet mirage finale soundcheck? i thought it was super interesting how the same outfits ended up having a completely different vibe when worn on different people! (this is all in good fun ofc, no shade to either member and they were such good sports for doing the switch)

Hi! omg thanks so much for this question!! I thought it was really cute and silly of them to switch entire outfits when they said they’d be styling each other for soundcheck. it’s so TXT 😂

As for the difference in vibes despite them wearing the exact same outfit, if we’re going by particular styling systems then Seasonal Color analysis and Kibbe typing come into play!

I just wanna preface this by saying that I while I do have an interest in Kibbe typing and styling as a whole but I’m not entirely sure what their Kibbe types are. I had some initial thoughts about sookai’s Kibbe types a few months back but haven’t really done a full-on analysis for any of them (though I’d really like to!! 🙈)

While I’m leaning towards Soft Dramatic (vertical + curve) for Soobin, I can’t pin down Yeonjun’s Kibbe type. But he might be a very slim Flamboyant Natural (vertical + width) in my eyes. Will try to expound on this a little bit later!

With all that aside, let’s try to break down their looks below the cut! Be forewarned that it's going to be lengthy bc of all the photos and side discussions 😅

I'm already seeing how differently the pieces fall on each of them. Yeonjun's original outfit appears to fall more smoothly on his body, whereas on Soobin, the fabric appears to bunch up and gather around his midsection more. This could potentially be due to Soobin being taller/having a longer torso so the blue-gray button down ends higher on his body than it does on Yeonjun.

While they both have slim waists, I think Yeonjun being short waisted/having longer legs and Soobin having a fuller 🍑, also contributes to how differently the fabric falls on them, despite both being tall and slim.

With Soobin being the taller of the two, you would think that he could wear all the fabric with no problem, but seeing these photos side by side, he seems to be a little overwhelmed by Yeonjun's outfit.

This, I believe is where their Kibbe types come into play. As mentioned earlier, I suspect Yeonjun could be an FN, and Soobin is a potential SD.

Flamboyant Naturals or FNs are considered to be frame-dominant. This allows them to wear flowing, unstructured pieces without being swallowed by all the fabric, as their body structure is able to provide... well, the structure that would showcase the pieces clearly. This is partially why FN models ruled the catwalks during the 90s -- their body structure allowed for you to focus on the clothing, rather than the body, leading to the "human hanger" moniker that supermodels were given around that time.

Going back to Yeonjun, their recent content (particularly the abundance of sleeveless Yeonjun appearances we've had this year) made me realize just how broad he is, despite being so slim. Just look at how the fleece jacket fits on him (suspected Flamboyant Natural) versus Beomgyu (suspected Soft Classic)!

Or compare how Yeonjun's top falls on his body, particularly the shoulders, versus that of Soobin in a Tinnitus stage.

(Side note: the GBGB/Tinnitus/DBTW stage also really highlights their different frames, given the rather simple cuts and fabrics for their costumes. It's a helpful reference for kibbe typing imo, along with their encore outfits as they usually wear the same pieces)

Going back to the outfit swap, I think the elements of Yeonjun's original outfit work well on him as he has the vertical and the width to pull off the long layers and the looser fitting fabrics. Denim is also a popular material for Naturals as it has some structure but is not overly stiff. The distressed details also add to that rawness that Naturals can pull off well.

That same outfit on Soobin, on the other hand, doesn't look quite as harmonious, as Soft Dramatics tend to shine more in pieces that accommodate their vertical and curve. The flannel shirt being under the long top just made him look wider on the bottom versus if it were acting like an external belt that could have defined his waist. Coupled with the baggy distressed jeans, it just made him look rather unbalanced and visually weighs him down.

Accessories also play a role in the different vibes we get from the outfit swap. Yeonjun's piercings help to tie in the grunge styling. If Soobin wore Yeonjun's outfit with a few more accessories (maybe adding pins to the beanie or some jewelry, idk), it could look more like a complete outfit for him bc from the waist up, he looks a little plain, IMO, and that does nothing for a Soft Dramatic like him!!

Soobin's original outfit suits him better as a Soft Dramatic as it honors his vertical (monochrome palette, long pieces) and curve (large collar and the leather coupled with a textured trim adds visual interest or "drama" that he can pull off).

Consider how different Soobin and Taehyun's vibes are despite having similar outfits on. Soobin's jacket looks visually "fuller" (fabric has a heavier visual weight compared to Taehyun's) but it does not overwhelm him as he has the build for it. It also ends by his waist (compared to midhip for Taehyun) which helps to draw the eye in to his curves -- again honoring his Soft Dramatic lines.

Black is also well within Soobin's color palette as a Winter type so the look is very cohesive overall! (Lighter grays/blues, like Yeonjun's shirt, aren't as flattering on Soobin as these could make him appear a little washed out or dull)

Soobin's outfit on Yeonjun still works as he has the vertical and the frame to pull it off. IMO however, the jacket looks a tad oversized on Yeonjun which contributes to the more "relaxed" vibe on him versus on Soobin (where it is a closer fit to the body) and makes him look more.. dominating(?) in a sense.

When Yeonjun took off the jacket, people somehow went crazier 😂 And I get why! The shirt showcases his build, rather than being covered up by a visually bulky jacket.

By removing the jacket too, it allowed for more focus on his face. I think Yeonjun might be a Summer type so black would take away from his features. Lighter colors are more flattering for him (another factor in why his original outfit doesn't seem to be so overwhelming on him) but he and the rest of TXT are all ridiculously good looking, it's hard to make them look unattractive 😂 I'm still a bigger fan of their orig outfits though 🙈

TL;DR: Yeonbin's original soundcheck outfits honor their Kibbe types and personal colors more than when they switched but since they're both tall, broad (but in different ways!), and just stupidly handsome, the outfit switches still kinda work bc they have elements that work to their Kibbe types.

Larry’s Gyarados and Maushold

I think it would be really cute if Larry had Gyarados and Maushold \(//∇//)\ I love his teams the way they are, but it’s fun dreaming of adjustments.

Look, I love the Tropius representation. Larry’s Elite Four team is very flamboyant and tropical-themed, probably referencing that he wants a break.

Unfortunately…Tropius just takes too long to set up. Larry always starts off with Sunny Day to activate Tropius’ Chlorophyll ability, which doubles its low speed in the sunlight, and then attacks. But Tropius is usually knocked out right after Sunny Day, and because of its weak attack stat, its moves don’t do that much damage. The rest of Larry’s team can’t really benefit from Sunny Day either. It’s really disappointing because this would’ve been the best time to buff Tropius, and have him be somewhat of a threat on an E4 team

But what if Larry started off with Gyarados instead? Think about it- you’d expect him to throw out a regular Normal Type, but instead you get hit with Gyarados. Not only does it strengthen his E4 twist, it’s an instant intimidation factor, literally

Gyarados has the ability Intimidate, which would lower your Pokémon’s attack stat immediately. It would give Gyarados a chance to survive a hit to attack back (unlike Tropius). Since Gyarados has a decent Speed stat, it could probably set up Dragon Dance (raising its Attack and Speed stat further) before getting hit first.

The idea of Larry raising a “useless” Magikarp is so cute haha. Plus, Gyarados fits in with his tropical-themed team, or even a beach-theme, with Gyarados representing the ocean.

Plus, Gyarados is hardly considered a Flying Type. I think Larry would be cheeky and have it on his team with that reasoning haha. Also, have you noticed that his Altaria doesn’t have a single Flying Type move? The rest of the Elite Four’s Pokemon have at least one move that corresponds with their type specialty, but Altaria is the only one. I think that’s interesting, even if it doesn’t mean anything lmao

For his Normal Gym Rematch, I am a firm believer that he should’ve had MAUSHOLD. It’s criminal that Maushold, a Pokémon that is literally just four plain and simple mice, wasn’t on Larry’s team. He’s a firm believer of “simplicity is strongest,” after all. Larry deserves a little mice family ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

I just noticed, but recall how Larry says “nothing beats the relief of coming home, even after a fun vacation.”

If his Elite Four team represents the vacation, then his Gym team represents the home! Maushold being the ‘Family Pokémon’ matches up with the theme of the comforts of home- a small family that protects one another, and naturally builds nests with little rooms.

It isn’t necessary to replace a Pokémon in his Gym Rematch team, because I think the Gym Leaders should’ve had full teams of six in the post-game Rematch? I don’t why they didn’t since it was Post-Game and all ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡

I don’t have a big reasoning behind Maushold unlike I did with Gyarados haha. I just want us to be destroyed by cute little mice with Population Bomb

If we had Elite Four Rematches (with a full team of 6), it would be fun if Larry and the rest of the E4 had the Titan Pokémon, with Larry having Bombirdier. It would’ve been a cool tie-in that also put the new Pokémon from this gen in their teams.

These are just my silly opinions though! What Pokémon would you have liked Larry (or anyone else) to have, including Pokémon that weren’t in this generation? ^_^

Re: your glow up have you looked at the kibbe body typing system? You look like a textbook flamboyant natural to me

You know I've actually never heard of this system before and the social science around it is very interesting even if I can't really understand it very well. I feel like I wouldn't exactly describe myself as a flamboyant personality but a Google search shows women that I guess kind of remind me of my body type, some slight curves both sort of, broad shoulders and rectangular shape idk, albeit I'm a little chunky haha.

I admit that for the longest time I never really put much effort into my outward appearance besides obvious hygiene and all that, so it's been both fun and a learning experience to, get into makeup and start considering what kind of clothes I'd like to wear if I wear to hypothetically style full outfits. Honestly for years when I would play video games I would style outfits and clothes all the time and I was addicted to it in specifically Pokemon Sun and New Horizons and I would always think, "sigh wish I could wear something this cute in real life but I hate myself :c" which I mean, I still do, but, I figure I'm trying to be more of myself and live more of my life, so. I'll definitely look into this style of clothing more and see if anything suits me and try to share the results if I'm happy with them! I especially need to update my clothing since I lost weight and a lot of my stuff is way too square and also kind of just years old at this point and some of them falling apart, so... guess I will add this to my growing list of things I need to do to treat myself :) thanks for helping out! ❤️

Firstly, unicorn anon— wind anon’s heart be going doki-doki. I’m glad my messages and stuff are interesting and make you happy!

Anyway, the reactions/analysis are shorter...but I have ideas and thoughts this time with all of them!

Bokuto’s energy wwww. Glad to see him being lively. And Sakusa recommending reading a book !! And Suga agreeing that reading is good— Akaashi, Sakusa, and Suga are perfectly equipped to have meetings every 2 weeks to talk about things they’ve read. Book group. Book club? I don’t know, I think they would be contented with reading in each other’s presence. (Though...if they’re the types to let music play while they read, it would be fun to see how their music taste varies. I mean...just in terms of vibe...I think Sakusa is a cello person, Akaashi is a piano one, and Suga is xylophone. Or maybe Suga is kalimba? Hmm, thoughts for wind anon...)

Spa day :0!! Painting nails!! Face masks! I bet Suga and Sakusa share skin care advice. Maybe they’d rope Akaashi into their talks as well. I imagine that Akaashi personally isn’t too focused in skin care and stuff, like, he does moisturize if he needs it, he always keeps hand cream and stuff in his bag, but he wouldn’t be buying a lot of excess products and such—even to test them out. I don’t think he would mind Suga and Sakusa inviting him into the conversation though. However, I imagine that Atsumu lowkey has a ton of knowledge at least on the hair side of things. Akaashi I think would also know a bit more on the hair side than the skincare side... because I don’t know why, but I think Akaashi has definitely cut his own hair before. Just the sort of gut feeling coming out.

But anyway! They’re painting their nails! Okay, so I think that Sakusa would use black nail polish. Like the soft matte kind. I don’t think he would really like a glossy appearance, so definitely like a soft matte. Akaashi...like a translucent pinkish color? More of a natural look. Kuroo is red. Flamboyant, glossy dark red. Bokuto gives off fun vibes...I think he would enjoy like the water marbling ones. Or ones with different designs and patterns. Or just having different colors on every single nail. Or glitter. Bokuto would like anything that’s fun—though waiting for the nail polish to dry may be tough. I feel like...Kenma is sorta ombré effect? Like, red starting from the tip of the nail that transitions to a translucent shade. With a subtle sheen to it. Atsumu... I think...black as well...but with both glossy and matte on different fingers. The glossy ones would be plain, but the matte ones would have like, gold edging. Suga I think would be a pastel blue type of idea. Maybe with a round tip. Matte. I think that’s everyone? I mean, YN can choose whatever she wishes.

Okay, finally—Suga telling them!! Everyone is ready to commit a crime and we would be cheering them on. Meiko definitely needs to receive punishment of some sort for what she has done. She should have charges placed against her...a restraining order, jail time, a mark on her record—just something in regards to her actions.

But I’ll end it here. I’m falling asleep haha.

My Analysis Of Enhypen (From I-Land mostly) and I was going to do it straight out of watching it, but it was like 2am and the next day I was sick so today it is :) (Edit : It took a couple of days to even write it) and I also watched some Enhypen videos so.... yup but I’ll try my best to keep it to my observations with I-Land and like the behind videos 

Sunoo

- My expectation of him : I thought he’d be the loud one like San/Wooyoung  is in ATEEZ from the get go but he was so shy at first. Watching him open up and spread who he is as a person was one of my favourite parts of the show. He also became more confident in himself and his abilities. You may think differently but if you take the first episode and last episode as examples, you’ll be able to see his level of comfort in showing his qualities as a person.

- In saying that, his expressions, especially in brighter concepts astound me. Like in those concepts, he just has the spotlight. For real, for real. He can also do intense concepts too. Amazing. He also has a voice that surprises me, like you’d expect his voice to be slightly higher but it’s among the lower tones (I don’t know the tonal scale)

- He doesn’t really take too harshly to teasing or when the other people poke fun at him. He takes it in good stride (Though nobody should go overboard) He just accepts it as it is with a smile or maybe a little sigh or even just teasing back. He knows it’s all with a good heart. I find that really admirable - it’s not an easy trait to have. Also the fact he can joke with the others as well.

- I love the way he monitors others, especially his members, and like he can make a person feel good. Like the way he without any hesitancy will help style another person’s hair if they asked or whatever. He just wants to do well, together. He wants to share his happiness with other people and I think that’s such a reason to love him. He also is the first to emphasise the beauty in every person. He brings attention to it in such a beautiful, caring way. He also can see the bigger picture so easily and so thoughtfully. Always looking for others.

- In saying all this, I have a theory that he was chosen as the producer’s pick because he has this ability to him. Like a moodmaker is someone that keeps the team’s spirits up and provide the stress relief and I feel he’s more than that? He has absolute faith in other people and can bring out hidden components of a person they didn’t really know they had e.g Sunghoon during Chamber 5/ The Heeseung Aegyo fiasco. Like he has this flamboyancy and shamelessness to him that you can help but join in or that it’s alright to join in.

Sunghoon

- My expectation of him : I thought he’d be a refined person, with a real likeness to someone with a status of a prince. Regality to a tee. But he’s got such a dorky tender heart. He’s so incredibly handsome. I know this is a really shallow and obvious observation. Anyone with two working eyes can see the boy is incredibly gorgeous. But he just leaves you in awe. He’s arguably the prettiest boy I’ve ever seen. I also love how shy and bashful he can get. 

- The way he cherishes the people around him. I feel from the very first episode, he’s not necessarily a social person, but you can tell he wants to get along with everyone.  He’s so comfortable to be around and you want to try anything in your power to make him smile and laugh and be your friend or whatever. During I-Land, you can see it from the way he talks about his sister and his friendship with Jake and the other I-Landers. 

- He’s a massive dork. Like he doesn’t know how cute he is. And because he’s got that Prince look to him and that title attached to him, when you see him being dorky and screeching you can’t help but like that paradox. I think Episode 10 was his episode and that one VR segment too. Like he’s so funny and just he’s a soft spot for me I think. The ‘Pork Slice’ part I want ingrained into what made my life a life worth living. 

- As a leader, it was so interesting to see him work. He helped K a lot with his leadership when Sunghoon left the team. He takes a couple of steps backwards for other people, and at times it scared me, but it ended up so right for him in the end anyway and I’m thankful. It helped people see what kind of a person he is and I’m glad he had other people looking after him. He also is careful and accepts suggestions and sincerely works with each of them. He makes observations on his own too. 

- This can be interrelated but I think a large massive part of why he’s in Enhypen is how hard he works. He works diligently and wholeheartedly. He’s a quiet powerhouse in that respect. He does his work without the need for attention but solely to improve his skills as a performer and for his future. He doesn’t care if his hands get dirty. As long as one person, even if it’s himself has faith in him, he’ll do it. 

Heeseung 

- My expectation of him : I thought he’d be known as The Ace and hardworking and etc. It wasn’t a wrong assumption but I think we can go into more detail. He’s a really talented person and I mean that with every fibre of my being. From the very first episode, he’s labelled as the ‘Ace’ and it continues throughout the programme so when he does debut, it isn’t too much of a surprise, if at all. 

- Too be honest, I’m not really sure if this counts but I’m going to add it anyway. His relationship with his brother (so hilarious) is such a heartwarming moment. In I-Land he was one of the older ones (I think) and someone with a leadership role and so a lot of people relied on him. But it was great to see he had a good support system who he loves and adores with all his heart. The way his older brother is a source of energy for him really made my heart go into overdrive. So fucking cute. 

- As a leader, I feel a bit like stupid for mentioning it cause it’s so obvious, but he’s got leadership skills. (Duh) But like as a leader, he works on the synergy of the team. He’s patient, stern and is usually almost on the right path. He’s someone very reliable and his objective is clear. He wants to fit the concept as well as he can and makes sure that everyone is on the same page without anyone falling behind. 

- He also has the ability to let loose and have fun. He makes jokes and tries things out because it looks fun. He’s under a shit ton of pressure, especially on I-Land as the ‘Ace’ and I’m grateful he’s able to enjoy his time with the other contestants. He actually plays around quite a bit and his smile is so wide and bright, it’s so nice to see. 

- Even though he’s not the leader in Enhypen now, he has a role of being a caretaker. He helps out when he’s needed (e.g Helped out Taki for the BTS performance) He’s a really thoughtful and understanding person. He’s always the first one to state problems and then come up with solutions. When someone feels bad for getting criticisms, he takes it as his own as well. He doesn’t want to succeed solely. 

Jake

- My expectation of him : No joke it’s just Aussie, at first. He was the first Enhypen member/I-Land contestant who I ever learnt about. I also think he’s a little like Eric from The Boyz. Slightly. Just, not as crazy. Like it’s weird just seeing a not-loud Eric and/or a crazy Jake. Also, he’s really attractive. I don’t know exactly why he’s so attractive but there’s something about him you just can’t describe in words. 

- His debut astounds me the most. Not because I didn’t think he could do it. But because he had such a short training period and even as a trainee he had to exceed hundreds of others (500 others/499 others?) to be let into the company. He’s just got this natural luck to him as well. Imagine that. He’s also quite an adaptable and fast learner. He always seems to improve with every little thing he learns and it always has such an impact. 

- He’s got a charming way of performing. He may not be as rich in skill training as the other contestants or members and often gets criticism for it. But every time he had a performance where you forget about it. He’s got this irresistible charm on stage. You want to learn more about him, watch him more and he plays his role really well. 

- His eyes are so sparkly and they just lure you in. He’s currently one of the only boys I’ll accept lip bites from (I usually find them cringe). But he makes it look natural. He gets so excited with new possibilities - new opportunities of fun, to get to know other people and know the people he knows more. He always engages with every situation with eagerness and acceptance. 

- As I mentioned before, he’s the icon of growth. Yes, everyone knows it. But you don’t look at him and see his inexperience nor the lack of skills in comparison. You want him to debut immediately and grow with him. Out of all of them, I feel like you look at him and apply yourself in his shoes. You want him to succeed and to learn and to grow and you want to hold his hand during the whole process. You want to watch and do the same with yourself. 

Niki

- My expectation of him : I thought he was going to be a mood maker of the team cause I saw a lot of compilations of him being groovy and weird. It’s a weird thing to say but he reminded me of seaweed in the game of Seaweed (I don’t know how to explain this game to anyone, it’s kind of like tag I guess except when you get tagged you have to act like seaweed in the ocean) or like those inflatable balloon people at car autos or something. Weird analogy but- He’s actually quite chic. 

- From the very first episode and all to the very end, he’s a very skillfull dancer. He picks up the dances quickly and he’s such a small person but he has this way of performing large gestures that astound you. He was a really meticulous teacher too. A stickler for details. He’s very satisfying to watch dance. When he’s in the zone of dancing, it’s really beautiful and you just want him to perform more and he could do the same dance again and again and it’d still have the same impact it did the first time. 

- In I-Land, in the earlier episodes he struggled with the team aspect. He was amazing individually and could lead the team well during dancing. But wanted to show the best version of himself and forget about the rest of the team. BUT, if you look at him now, he knows the importance of his teammates and strives for the best. He also allowed himself to open up emotionally and cried more and adored more. (I noticed this moment especially with Hanbin, Sunoo, Taki and those who were eliminated) 

- During the show, it didn’t really show Niki enough being playful. I think we got to see cheery Niki when he received the hanbok from Jungkook. But you can see it better in the behind I-Land videos with the sheep costume that Jungwon wears and during Enhypen’s debut. But my favourite moment is when Jungwon wants to sneeze and he looks at him and he’s like ‘Jungwon hyung ANDWAEEE’ and his voice and everything is going to be stamped into my head. 

- He’s practically made to be an idol. His dancing is one thing but when he takes pictures and has to fit concepts that his hyungs find awkward, he just does it with such a chic way of doing things. He knows where to angle his head and he’s gotten so good at expressions. Off stage, he’s chic yet playful and extremely loving with his hyungs. 

Jay

My expectation of him : First of all, the whole reason I’m into Enhypen is because of him. He’s the reason I watched the show. He’s almost always my avatar on Rhythm Hive. I expected him to be confident and good at everything. He’s also really good looking. Like, the type of guy I’d have a crush on if he lived in my country type of crush. 

- He’s a great speaker. His ability to give feedback and constructive criticism is an amazing feat. He points out problems carefully and constructs a solution. He does so in a way that he creates a feeling of trust and faith. I’m terrible with criticism, like I can accept it but I don’t know how to reply to it. But with Jay, I actually want him to provide feedback. 

- He’s a really intense performer. He’s just constantly burning and his gaze is like a promise. He uses emotion to perform harder and to outdo himself and to prove to others that they’d regret making their decision. He is very emotional and it shows when he performs. A really determined person to do well in everything he does. He’s got this wild and untamed look in his eye but his body is very controlled and confident. It’s seriously a good look on him. It’s really attractive. 

- His leadership qualities are amazing. He knows how to utilise everyone’s talents to make the team standout more. He has an in depth understanding of everyones personalities and talents enough to put them in the right position. (That sounds like a report card). He’s also not as hardheaded as I had expected him to be, he’s flexible and is able to listen to everyones opinions and communicate on an equal level. He helps out without taking complete control over the situation. 

- He’s the moodmaker! Yes, he’s responsible for about 95% of the memes and quotes in I-Land. I don’t think I have to quote them. In saying that he’s pretty much the victim of Enhypen and I-Land pretty much. 

- I think the way he is so emotionally driven is what makes him stand out. He is the epitome of a fiery personality. He’s so unapologetically him and also open about what he’s feeling and what he’s aiming for, which is considerably quite new considering how boys are kind of taught to suppress their emotions. He also doesn’t let his emotions dictate how he treats a person. He treats them fairly, even when he’s disappointed or angry at someone. Watching him succeed and sometimes fail and promise to come back, genuinely felt like he was destined for it and wasn’t waiting for Lady Luck to shine on him. He goes and does shit done himself. He invokes so many emotions and empathies in other people. 

Jungwon 

- My expectation of him : When I was watching KCON:TACT 3 I was really attracted to his voice and they way he talked and danced. Though I didn’t expect to end up biasing him to the point of no return. Never in my life have I loved a boy quite like this. I don’t know it feels different. It felt different with both Haechan, Kyungsoo and Sunwoo but this is all so different this feeling right here. Warning : This is going to be extremely biased. Like no joke. I’m sorry, this boy is just going to have longer lines but I’ll still keep to the same bullet points. 

- He’s so lovely. So so lovely. He has this ability to smile and have fun and tease and make little comments. His eyes are like hypnosis. You’re able to look at him, see the uplifting of his smile and every one of his facial features are uplifted so it makes his expressions brighter, more welcoming and more trusting.  He’s got broad shoulders and like someone you want to cuddle and watch with stars in your eyes. Like that chick is so right, ‘you’re someone I can’t live without now.’ The way he reacts to such comments, bashful smile and the whole hand over his mouth. He’s so pretty. I don’t want him to be sad or whatever. 

- He’s so accepting of other forms of life and doesn’t care for status, wealth, age or whatever. For him, if they’re part of the team, they’re part of the team and he’ll look after them as a team member. He puts his importance on things that actually matter and looks to create an atmosphere where he can be relied on and that others feel comforted. He has fun and talks with others with softness and makes others feel engaged. He’s so fucking attentive. Like he understands other people well and has high observation skills. Like if one is upset, he’ll just quietly go to comfort them and give attention in a soothing matter. He’s also got a soothing voice. I love hearing him talk. 

- The hidden ACE. He made an impact during the competition at significant times. I think the reason why many contestants and him, himself went down the ranks was because they were previously in the higher ranks and were believed to be safe. But as a vocalist, he has such a clear and stable voice. You can recognise his voice immediately, even when I wasn’t a Enhypen stan, I could recognise his voice even without knowing who he was. But as a dancer, he’s so amazing at it. Like, his popping and his ability to do intense choreographies. As a performer he understands nuances, meanings and the concepts of a song and understands his role in the performance. Him getting praises was my favourite thing ever. I think he was a favourite among the producers. Though when he did have stumbles, I was so worried for him. Like no, I refuse. 

- He’s got an optimistic way of thinking, without being overcompensating. Basically when things don’t necessarily go the way it was set out to or when others suggest another way of doing things, he takes his time to think about it and decides. He basically uses it as a tool to grow and adapt in order to produce the best results. Now that I’m thinking about it, rather than being optimistic, I would say he’s an opportunist(?) in a sense. He’ll accept the suggestions and has this greed to live up to and exceed the expectations. This is easily seen when Jungwon isn’t doing too well doing part 5 and ends up swapping with Heeseung. And he also has this greed. It’s a greed I’ve never seen before. The goals are the same but in a way that’s different?; He doesn’t  want his grandmother to be devastated if he is eliminated, he wants to be an artist that does music he loves, ‘it’ll be even more impressive if we can go beyond their expectation’. He uses the current happenings as a way to exceed them and to go beyond capacity. In short he’s a realist without being stuck, he’s an idealist without being too high up in the clouds, he’s optimistic but not unrealistic. It’s inspiring, he’s inspiring. They all are but Jungwon has my heart at the moment.

Tendou is very outgoing and extroverted so he’ll naturally be interested in your more reserved nature. And he loves the challenge of seeing if he can make you sociable, it’s basically his goal to see if you can match his energy or open up, so when he found out you were secretly a little chaotic he was LIVING. Oooh, oooh~ let's keep feelings~

“All right! For beating ADAM, a toast for Langa!” Kojiro cheers while raising his cups with everyone else. Dope Sketch was closed for the time being as they prepared a small celebration above the building. “Also, let’s also congratulate the newest legend of S, Arima!”

Arima let out a nervous laugh. “It still feels a little weird to call me that…”

That night, Arima and Langa raced each other, passing through narrow roads, jumping over stalactites to cross over the ridge and other fun stuffs. It was a close race but Arima proved to be quicker and smarter and she won, making her as the new legend of S.

When she told them that course that was used is now in her authority, they swore they can see her giving off an excited and demonic energy as she called it now her “domain”. It only gave emphasis to her S nickname as DEVIL.

Kojiro cooked the food for them and everyone was having a good time. Langa was wolfing down some burgers, with Reki telling him to eat other stuffs too. Sketchy was found sleeping comfortably on Carla and Miya had to clung to Kaoru to stop him from murdering the little fox like creature, with Arima apologizing and explaining to appease his anger.

Overall, they were bonding happily.

Not until they were surprised to hear the sounds of a helicopter approaching and they looked up.

“ADAM?!”

The man jumped off the copter with a parachute on his back to their surprise and everyone scrambled away to avoid the parachute. Langa wouldn’t budge until Reki pulls him away, just in time for the parachute to land on top of Dope Sketch.

“Dude, that was dangerous! Why did you do that?!” Reki yelled at him.

“I’m here to give Langa-kun a gift to congratulate him for defeating me!” He smiled like usual but it’s a little more different now.

“Oi, what about a gift to the new legend of S?”

He shrugged. “The course is my parting gift. She can do what she wants with it. Speaking of which, where is that devil?”

Arima flinched as she attempted to stay quiet while eating pasta. Of course, the man noticed her easily and laughed.

“Ah, I finally get to see the other side of the newest legend outside S! My, to think someone as crazy and notorious for dangerous tricks like you is like this in the morning, I wonder how people would react!”

“Oi, are you blackmailing her?” Kaoru glared at him.

“Nonsense. I was only trying to get to know her, right, Arima-kun?”

“H-Hai…” she looked away while sweat dropping. “A-ADAM, don’t just suddenly jump over a helicopter to come. Why can’t you come like a normal person?”

She was so meek it was hard to believe she’s a risky skater.

“But it’s as flamboyant having an entrance like that.”

She sighed. “This is not S. Right now we are just normal people enjoying the day. At least try to be a normal person with that mask on.”

“You’re so boring, Arima-kun. I prefer you as a DEVIL. You were much more interesting then.” He was ruffling her hair while she was eating pasta.

The others looked at them in shock.

“Since when these two have been in good terms with each other?!?!”

I mean, every time they are talking about ADAM, Arima would go hostile at him and snap at him and ADAM would also taunt her as well but at the same time, he’s showing to be hostile at her.

They are basically oil and water so it’s naturally normal for them to be shocked.

ADAM was being loud and was pestering a meek Arima when she looked up at the copter and saw Tadashi, who was smiling with amusement.

“There he is! The newest legend of S!”

“It’s DEVIL!!”

“Kyaaah!! DEVIL-kun you’re so handsome today!!”

Arima was skating forward the crowd after he was challenged by someone named Echidna previously. Reki and the group were on one side, cheering at her.

“I hope you didn’t forget our deal, DEVIL.”

“Of course. You bet your whole money, I bet my pride and title as the legend of S.”

“Don’t get too cocky, brat.”

“Same goes to you, geezer.”

“I’m still young!!”

“Reminds me of Shadow” she smiled in amusement before preparing for her beef.

“You look happy today, Miya-kun. Did something good happen?” she asked the boy next to her.

He smiled. “Remember my story about my friend? He finally talked to me and told me, “Let’s hangout next time. Sorry for avoiding you”. It made me really happy. It made me think he just probably needs time like what happened with Reki.”

She smiled and patted his head. “Good for you, then.”

“Ano… Arima-san?”

“Hai?”

“I really like you but… to you, I may still be a kid but!” he grabbed her hand suddenly, to her surprise. “I promise I will grow up! I know I’m still a kid but I’ll grow up! Until I do that, will you wait for me?”

He looked so earnest it made her smile. She’s not in any relationship now because of skateboarding and most guys found her a huge turn off when she could skate ten times better than them.

“Even though I’m the DEVIL that beat you? Even though I’m a different person when skating?”

“I-I had mixed feelings after knowing but… it’s part of who you are and you’re a genuine and nice person… I-I like you!”

The blush on Miya’s face was really cute and she patted his head.

“Sure. I’ll wait for that moment you grow up, Miya-kun.”

He blushed madly upon seeing her smile and he bowed. “T-Thank you!”

Meanwhile, Reki and Langa were hiding behind the wall eavesdropping.

“Yosh. You did it, Miya.” The red haired grinned. Well, the younger boy approached them before regarding about Arima. Of course, he wanted to help and give moral support.

“4 years of a gap is not much, huh?” Langa says.

“Arima is simple. If Miya will ask her if she’ll wait, she will. She doesn’t think of romance at all. Miya may have a chance.”

Reki and Langa met up at midnight in one of the empty courses. A few minutes later, Arima arrived.

“So, you want me to watch over your beef and the proctor?” she said.

“Yep! We’re counting on you, Arima!”

Her lips twitched in a smile as she stood on one side from them. “I’ll be using another track to keep an eye on things. In the meantime, you two forget I’m here and just skate to your heart’s content.”

The two boys prepared as she made a countdown.

“3, 2, 1, start!”

And the two boys drifted off the track with the sun rising up ahead.

I had report on the Loveless final compiled together from way back on March 28th 2019, so I’ll post it here again to give a small taste....!

●The stage lighting for Namid[A]me was apparently breathtaking, they made it look like it was actually raining, ●Yumao used a real gong for Social Clock. ●During Senseless Wonder yg went all the way over to snd’s side of the stage, stuck his body against his, and they played it out together. Then came the encore MC break.

●Yu started cheering himself on, while making flamboyant poses: "Yumaooooo!!  Oooh~!  WOooooOOah *rough voice* !!💪( ＞ω ＜💪)” Crowd: “You’re so cool~!” Yu: “Thank goo~ *Goes to a cutesy voice*” “You’re so cute~!” “Thank goo. Thank you!” SND: “Hey dude, they’re all callin’ ya cute and cool y’know.” Yu: “…(short pause) Thank goooo~~~”

wowaka: (laughing) We’re done, that's all we need for MC ahahaa.

●Leaving members stuck on what to ramble about, they’ve already talked so much throughout the whole tour, what’s left? So wo suggested that they do a re-cap on all those fun boring discussions they’ve had. Omnibus time. 

●Back when the Japan was collectively swept off their feet by the Olympic ice skater Yuzuru Hanyu-kun and his performance, wo had also praised him during MC.  Yet just thinking about him puts pressure on Yumao, it inspired Yumao to do his best. And as the next song on Rie’s set list was the inspirational Memai, he concentrated so hard, poured himself in and played super neatly, “Oh shit oh no oh shit, Hanyu-kun makes me nervous.” Yumao explained. 

●During the span of the tour SND fell off the stage way more then once... SND: “The skin on my back peeled off once too.” Yu “Eeeh?!” SND “Saying it peeeled all the way off is an overstatement but..” ”Well then the scab ripped off.” “Seriously?!” “But it healed nicely.” “Ahh” “After that, in Niigata, when I went to brandish my guitar up with a “pwooosh” towards the roof, it went bonking into my forehead.” ●SND’s middle finger had also stopped moving, (nerve palsy maybe??) During Talkie Dance there’s the “piropiropiro” where a “pero, pero” bit comes in between (Queue SND and Yuma singing the riff together), which is very straining. He has to press his fingers against the strings one by one to play it, he was scared but nonetheless. So Yuma watched him at the piropero part wondering “Oh no oh no is it gonna move? Is it moving today??””

When it came down to it his middle finger moved for him so thank goodness... (Manju comment: SND is this karma for all the times you gave the crowd the middle finger when they cheered your name,,, or flipped off girls who waved at you, or giving wo the middle finger a lot? God I love you)

●Yumao “Also ygarshy laughed ONCE!” “There was the one time I was talking nonstop (queue SND and Yumao making “blaghblergh” noises together to imitate him). When yga let out a chuckle, which made me super proud in front of everyone… I went Wahooo!!! but turns out it wasn’t because my story was funny or anything.  It was because yga was off on his own! Testing how many candies he could eat before we would shut up!” SND: “Did you chuckle because you finished the third candy?” yg: “Uhhh” SND: “Well tell us about it.” wowaka: “Is this the first time he’s talking?” yga: “See, I always think our encore MCs are… long. So I feel like having some candy. I was originally worried I wouldn’t be able to finish eating one in time, the song would start and turn into a problem, but.... it turned out that day’s had become the longest MC yet. I lost my inner bet, damn it, I thought. You guys really can talk. Three whole candies worth of talk! So I laughed, and Yumao thought I was laughing at hims story”

Yu: “Yeah yeah!! Honestly the story I had been telling didn’t have a punchline, so I just used your laugh as an escape.”

SND “Foolish” Yu “Yep” wowaka “Well that day the most” Crowd “laughing” Yumao “...Thank goo~ (laughing)” (Yumao you never have a punchline I swear to God I love you too)

●wowaka talked about the story from back when he used to be so so scared of standing in front of people. In middle school his teacher chose him to represent his class in the English speaking competition, yet he was so afraid that he just, went out to the podium crying hysterically. “I can’t talk English in front of everyone waghhh....”

But now he’s able to do >this<. He’s become such an adult. 

SND “I bet there wasn’t even as many people at the competition as there is people here today, haha and you’re able to even talk naturally here, eh, look at you.”

Yu: “Ahh even SND’s such a big boy now~.” SND: “Well we all have.” ●They announced the next nexUs tour at the Loveless tour final. “We just love doing shows” 

●Also Pre- Little Cry Baby emotional speech from wowaka.   “In living we find cool things and sparkling things, yet there’s moments when we betray those things, we worry if ahhh was I wrong with that, there’s so much of this, in actuality that’s all I do, yet still we’re made out of things we can’t throw away, that’s what I think, what is it! Like those sorta texture that have a paint dried over them, like things that are just superficial just… Those are things that I have NO FUCKING  interest in! Like it’s that, c’mON, with music, people are just humans!! trying to be, they’re trying to do what they can do! I have interest in things that only humans can do, some things that can even surpass human, and that’s what fuels me to do music. As long as you follow me, I feel like ,, I could go anywhere!!!!! thank you always, thank you for making me!! Thank you for being here!!!”

This was also the showing they used during the Memorial Service on June 1st… STAFF WE ARE GOING TO CRY “Thank you we were Hitorie, let’s definitely! *through deep breaths* definitely! Meet again!”

UTAPRI DISNEYLAND HEADCANONS!

Pardon me while I indulge myself, unload my mind and project.

Warnings ahead: Extremely long post, OOC, self-indulgence, shipping mentions, rare pairs (all characters aged up but nothing nsfw is here), Disneyland ‘spoilers’ , mentions of mental illness/causes of mention illness (Reiji, Ichinose, Aine, etc), not a dark post though, fluff, 

Ai:

 Mom mode activated

 Everyone has specific, custom glowsticks so you can find everyone at night no problem

 Also everyone has to wear GPS bracelets that allow Ai to track them in case anyone gets lost

 He downloaded a mental map of the parks 

 Literally never lost, knows where everything is and the fastest way to get there

 Faster than the Disneyland app by 73.2% (ok for real though I had almost no issues with it when i was there??)

 He knows all of the secrets

 Blurts out a bunch of random trivia and info he found while researching (which makes him fun to be with!!)

 Then asks why it's important and has to have it explained to him

Ichinose:

 Pulled more allnighters than necessary (sometimes with Ren) to plan and book everything but nobody knows how much they put into it

 Original daily routines, flights, reservations, packing lists, everything was started by him and Ren (until Ren started to favor sleep after two weeks)

 At first it’s all super simple but then he starts overcomplicating it and when he's in the thick of it he can't stop and has to solve every potential problem

 (no problems wind up happening)

 Reiji discovers him one night and shuts it down (and then took over/shifted some stuff to Ai who would be better suited)

 He and Masato were then in charge of buying items for the trip but Masato started overplanning/over worrying so he took over

 Park bags? Got them. Ponchos? Thank him. Waterproof phone protectors? You got it. Chargers? Lots! Trading pins? Preordered online

 Also really thinks hard about everybody's individual needs and concerns and is worried about everyone not having the best time ever

 He was also in charge of meal plans (until they got to the park and Ranmaru started hearing about all the food and took over)

 This boy has not slept since they first decided they were going and hasn't done a single thing he wanted to do the entire time they're there

 So crowds are a thing and he's now crashing

 Reiji pulls him aside and they wander off to get some drinks and probably to Tom Sawyer's Island (very quiet! beautiful nature views!) and just... be in Disneyland

 Really deep conversations while looking into New Orleans!

They ride the Mark Twain together and drive the boat too!!

 Reiji takes him through all the shops on Main Street and they spend hours in the art gallery

 Also they sit on the disneyland railroad and just go around the park 400 times? (he likes the parts in Splash Mountain, also the show scenes)

 He and Reiji get caught in one of the 'bandit' shows where their train is 'robbed'. He's annoyed at first but has fun.

 Is now just the designated ticket/pass/autograph book holder. Probably safely storing everyone's passports in his luggage too.

Camus:

 Does not appear interested in this adventure. At all.

 Until one night he orders Cecil awake at 3AM to do a bunch of research for him and does not say why

 Nobody finds out until the day of, but he's upgraded EVERYTHING. First class jet, upgraded rooms, premium viewing for shows, etc

 Probably managed to book an entire section of the park (or even an entire park) for the group

 Also he just wanted information on every treat in the area

 He wants to try EVERYTHING

 He knows where all the best sweets are (don’t be fooled a lot of the food/treats are d i s g u s t i n g) and all the specials for the season

 Contacted ahead of time to have special treats made for each of them that represent them and are then delivered during their dinner as a surprise

 Do it right or not at all

 Scrapbooks everything at the end of the trip because it was some of the best memories he had with everyone

he probably cries over the pictures because they mean a lot to him

Is surprised for the following Christmas when everyone pulled together to make matching sweaters & ornaments for the whole group for a group picture for Reiji’s sake

I decided to redo my previous ship chart post because there were some changes. I also wanted to explain why I ship this characters and what the different colors mean to me.

Now I am explaining myself being a lot of people seem to be confused of why I ship certain characters together. I accept no hate on ships. I don’t hate on ships and neither should you. Any hate comment will be deleted and I will block you if you persist

OTPs: This are ships that I absolutely love and I think would mostly because canon (in my opinion) -Izuocha: This is clearly the most canon ship and we can see why. Both characters clearly care for each other and do have a crush on each other. They are the cute shy couple type and it my heart full just seeing them shipped. -Kiribaku(Bakushima): As many might know this is they most popular ship of the series despite Izuocha being more canon. This is most likely to be canon in most people’s opinion but that’s not why I love it. I love both boys dearly and how they just match each other well. Bakugou has grown a lot throughout the series but so has Kirishima and their relationship. Unlike Izuocha, the boy didn’t start out in good terms (heck Bakugou hated everyone and Kirishima thought he was crazy). But as time went on their relationship grew into friendship (and maybe more). Now I’m not going to be mad if it doesn’t become canon, because its no one decision but the creator. I will however be screaming for days if it does. -Ojiro and Hagakure (idk if they even have a ship name): Now these two I’m pretty sure are only shipped together because like other ships they have had a great amount of screen time together but not much else. I ship them because I love their chemistry they have together. Ojiro being a shy but protective guy and Hagakure being a cute but confident. It sort of goes well together in my opinion. Plus I love my girl Hagakure~ -Kamijiro: This ship is another that is majorly hinted at but its still unclear if its going to be canon or not. Kaminari has shown interest in many girls, seeing how he’s trying to be a player of sort, but one girl that he seems to stick around with is Jiro. He doesn’t seem to push himself at her as he has done with others so it seems he really does like her and doesn’t want to be rejected. Jiro has also been seen to blush around him and also been angry with him when he’s being pervy (possible jealous). Plus they seem to get along based on some similar interest. They definitely click together. -Todomomo: This is another ship that people ship due to much screen time together. Now I can’t say how Todoroki feel but Yaoyorozu may have a crush on him due to his help and encouragement towards her. Now I personally ship them because of this crush Yaoyorozu and their status. What I mean is they are both rich kids more or less. Now I’m not saying rich should get with rich only, I’m saying they probably have some similarities due their status and could relate in ways they couldn’t with the others. I also like the thought of Todoroki protecting Yaoyorozu but she showing him what its like to be loved. Its a soft and slow relationship that I love. -Miritama: Now this ship seems to popular due to the long term relationship that Togata and Amakiji have had. They do have a long past together and know each other extremely well. This is one of those “childhood friends to lovers” kind of ships. Plus they fact Togata is bright and outgoing balances well with Amakiji’s shy and gloomy personality.

Like: Now these are ships I still love a whole lot (maybe even as much as the OTPs) but I don’t see as likely as the OTPs. -Bakudeku: This ship is very triggering to some but a lot of people (like me) really do enjoy this ship. This ship is well like due to Bakugou’s growth in the series. Bakugou has been showing Midoriya a lot more kindness than in the past and slowly working into being friends again (possibly). Which why people like the ship, bully to lovers is fairly heart warming type of ship. Seeing people change is always great and a little angst before fluff makes it worth more. Now I also like the whole angst of Bakugou liking Modoriya but due to their relationship in the past Midoriya doesn’t feel the same way. (this could just end Bakugou being sad forever or getting into another ship) -Todobaku: I love this ship so much (not as much as Kiribaku or Bakudeku but very close). This is one of those love hate kind of ships. Like they hate each other to start but fall in love in the middle of it all. Plus Bakugou need a strong man to take him down once in a while. -Seromina: Now a lot of people ship this because “They are the only bakusquad members without a ship” (this is if they ship kiribaku and kamijiro). Now I ship them together because I like Sero being the calm rational one while Ashido is they wild crazy outgoing one. Not saying Sero is a stick in the mud but I like to think Ashido would drag him into something stupid. And he’s go with it because he loves her but he’d also be there to stop things from getting to crazy. - Tokotsuyu: This is another cause of “they shared screen time together” type of ship. Now I ship them because they work well together, both in fighting and in personality. They are both calm and rational thinkers making them great teammates but also compatible relationship wise. I think their animal like quirk also gives them some similarities to connect with. Plus I love the thought of Asui being cute (unintentionally) and Tokoyami doesn’t know how to handle something so bright and pure. -Momojiro: This is a great due to their personality being very different. Its like proper rich girl meet rocker punk girl. Very romantic and very heart warming. I can see them getting together by accident, Jiro just thinking she admires Yaoyorozu and Yaoyorozu just being clueless to her own feelings. Very cute and slow pace type of romance. -Tetsukami: xkumah (sadly no longer on tumblr) got me hooked onto this ship. Its makes sense quirk wise, steel attracts electric. To be honest though Kaminari seems slightly ooc when shipped with Tetsutetsu. Like way more flamboyant and less after women, so in like a “Kaminari is gay AU” is only how this ship comes to be. Now I don’t like making characters ooc for a ship but this is the only one that seems harmlessly fun. -Inatodo: This ship is hard to explain. Its great because well because Yoarashi hated Todoroki but then didn’t? I guess I do like how Yoarashi is loud and optimistic and Todokoki is quiet and secluded to himself. They are polar opposite but both uses an element type quirk. -Tetsukendo: Now there isn’t much interaction with these two but Tetsutetsu has shown great support for Kendo. Now I ship them because I love the idea of Kendo having someone there to support her. She seems like the big sister of her class or even the leader of her class, meaning she has to fill the role of supporting everyone else. The idea of Tetsutetsu cheer her on, checking up on her, or even protecting her, just warm my heart so much. Now I’m not saying she needs protection because she a strong independent woman who can stand on her own but I’m weak for strong characters being treated gentle (aka Kirishima with Bakugou). -Erasermic: Now this is another case of “childhood friends to lovers” and also a “opposite attracts” type of relationship. They both known each other for a long time so know each other very well (and have time to develop a deep relationship). They are also completely opposite yet still friends, Yamada is loud and proud while Aizawa is quiet and tired. Despite their personally being way different they still have been friends through this whole time so its not hard to see them getting into a relationship as well. Plus is cute to think of Aizawa and Yamada being proud parents of Eri (and Shinso lol)

Okay: These are ships I like but just not as much as the others. -Midoriya and Asui (no idea what this ship name): This ship is another I’m unsure why I like. It does seem cute and Asui does have much respect for Modoriya that could turn into a crush. Asui is confident why Modoriya is shy so a good contrast in personality, could lead to cute scenes. -Kaminari and Uraraka (I don’t this is popular to have a ship name): I saw this ship on Instagram and honestly I can see it. Uraraka is typical nice cute girl and Kaminari is a player type. Sort of jock player meets shy nice girl type of relationship. Either way I like is and can see cute moments between the two, -Iida and Todoroki (man a lot of my lower ships don’t have names lol): This is similar to Todoroki and Yaoyorozu in the fact Todoroki and Iida would share similarities in status. This is also another of I’m unsure why I ship it. I just like the ship. -Iida and Yaoyorozu (no ship name): I kinda lowkey ship but not quite lowkey. I have no reason for this ship. They both have status and both are the smartest in the class. I think Iida would treat Yaoyorozu beautifully gentle. -Iida and Hatsume (idk if this has a ship name): This is shipped because of the interaction during the sports festival. But its cute to think of Iida taking care of an over work Hatsume. And Hatsume making Iida test her new inventions but of course only because she trusts him. -Serobaku: Now I saw this floating around in a group of shipping the bakusquad with Bakugou. I kind of like the idea of Sero taking care of Bakugou. I feel like Sero more calm nature is something Bakugou would like and be relax around. - ShinAshido: This is similiar of why I like the Seromin ship. Shinso is quiet reserved and uninterested in being around people while Ashido is loud out going and loves to be around people. I can see Ashido dragging Shinso out to socialize but despite not liking being other he goes for her. But I also can see them have quiet relaxing time together, cuddling while watching a movie. -Kyoji(?): This is ship due to their interaction during the midterm exam. I love the idea of Jiro being protective of Koda while he is being soft with her. He would treat her with care and love while she is embarrassed by it but still happily holds his hand. -Mineta and Yaoyorozu: Here a ship people seem confused by. They’ve interacted quite a bit throughout the series, mostly due to Mineta being a pervert. I will state, I don’t hate Mineta. I see why he’s there and how he gives comedy and is the punching bag of the class. Now I won’t going into a rant why people hate Mineta but its clearly being his character is unattractive mixed with his pervert personality. Now the reason for the ship, I believe people can change (like how Bakugou has). And because of this I think Mineta could change his perverted was, once he knows what love feels like. I like to think once he falls in love with Yaoyorozu he’d try to impress her but fail many many time before she finally catches on. -Shoji and Tokoyami: This is another due to screen time together. Though it does seem like Shoji and Tokoyami have some sort of friendship and respect for each other. I like the ship because of how big Shoji is compare to Tokoyami. Its cute to think Shoji has to pick Tokoyami up for a kiss. -Kenmono: This ship is due to the usual relationship they have. Kendo seems to be Monoma’s care taker, keeping him out of trouble and shutting him up. Kendo seems like she be a tsudere when it came to Monoma, which would probably end up him being knocked out if she thinks he’d find out of her feelings. -Erasermight: Now I don’t ship this as much as I use to but I think its still cute. Its sort of the same concept as Erasermic but more calm.

Maybe: These are ships that I lowkey like, I’m very new to, or I’m just unsure of right now. -Shinso and Midoriya: This is a unsure one. The ship post I’ve seen are cute but I’m unsure how the relationship would go. Like I see them being good friends but I’m unsure right now about a relationship. -Tsuchako: This a fairly popular ship (most popular femslash next to Momojiro), but I’m unsure about it. I like the ship interaction but its seems like just friends things than lovers. But I’m indifferent right now. -Bakujiro: Funny enough I got in this ship because of franeridart. I’m unsure if they actually ship it or not but I love their interaction post they have with Bakugou and Jiro. I think the two would be calm with each other and share similar interest. They would be the “non secret relationship but no one can tell either way”, which doesn’t bother them until Kaminari tries to hit of Jiro and Bakugou gets mad. -Kamibaku: This is another unsure one. I’ve seen some cute picture on pinterest but there really isn’t much with these two. Other picture I’ve seen is a very “feminine” Kaminari and I’m not into that. I guess I could see it but I’m not seeing it enough to hold interest right now. -Bakumomo: This is pleasant one. Its sort of “outcast bully falls for pretty rich girl”. Its cute, full of drama, and fluff all around. I think Yaoyorozu would bring out the softer side of Bakugou while he bring out the confidence in her. -Aizawa and Bakugou: Now before you give me any shit on this remember, its a ship not real people and I mention nothing sexual between the two. Its sort of like when kid have crushes on their teachers, it happens. I’m not going into much of this expect for I think Aizawa would defeat Bakugou with his life. -Minayama: I really use to ship this but now not so much. I kind of see Aoyama not being in a relationship, but I still low key ship this because I think Ashido could show him more that himself lol. -Kaminari and Ashido: Well they’re both airheads? Lol, I’m joking. I read a couple of fan fics were they were background couple and thought, “Yes, I could see that happening” -Aizawa and Asui: Same with the Aizawa and Bakugou one, not going to much into it just I remember seeing really cute ship art on pinterest. -Mineta and Asui: I can see this for the sole fact Asui is the only girl willing to talk with Mineta and can put him in his place. -Kamisero: I kind of don’t like this ship because of how feminine people make Kaminari. I just don’t like characters changing so much just for a ship (the only exception is Tetsukami). It just why change him to fit into a ship? I guess if I saw more of Kaminari being himself I would ship it more, but right now its on the fence. -Shinso and Kaminari: I’m unsure with this one because of the recent interaction between the two in the manga. Like Kaminari laying down some accidental flirts to Shinso is cute! But how would their relationship blossom? I think it could work if people don’t change Kaminari a bunch for this ship too. -Sero and Todoroki: This a recently new discovered ship that I’m unsure if I’m into yet or not. I like what I’ve seen but I’m unsure how they would actually interact. -Shinso and Monoma: I honestly just see this as a one sided love, that being Monoma falling for Shinso but not realizing it just becomes very clingy to him.

Dislike: This are not necessarily ship I hate just ship I can’t personally ship myself. -Tododeku: This is an extremely popular ship and I’m unsure why. Modoriya and Todoroki don’t really have a relationship vibe going on. Its more like Todoroki just made his first friend ever and Modoriya is just being nice like he is with literally everyone else. So I don’t see the deal with it I guess. -Kacchako: I don’t like this ship very well. I can only see this ship happening if Modoriya didn’t exist or had became a villian, then maybe I could see this ship, maybe. But something I don’t get with the ship name “ Kacchako “, why use kacchan, the childhood nickname MODORIYA uses, as part of their ship name? Its almost a huge slap the Modoriya himself. Like “Haha I bullied you and now I’m taking the only girl you might of had a chance with” Like what the-? I get why people ship it I really do but I just get a weird gut twist sick feeling seeing them together. So I can’t explain why I don’t like them other than he looks better with Modoriya. -Kirimina: Ok this one is simple, I don’t like this ship because of the past relationship Kirishima and Ashido shared. Now I know this is a reason why lots of people do ship this is because they have a past together but other than that why? I don’t think they are good because technically Ashido made him feel like he was useless. Now I’m not saying that’s her fault or anything but I feel like she was a good blow to his self esteem and its hard to let that go sometimes. Now I know Bakugou is better than Kirishima but he helps Kirishima be someone that can be equal to him. Ashido kind of didn’t know or unsure how to help. They really didn’t have a close relationship younger, just happen to go to the same school. I know they aren’t the same but they were made to be close to the same so it still feels that way to me. -Nejitama: Mostly because Amajiki seems to gay and Hado seems to lesbian lol. -All Might and Inko: This, why is this even a ship? Yagi is already Modoriya’s father figure why go any further with that? You guy also realize the major age gap too right? Now age gaps don’t bother me but some of you seem bother by it (you know when I student is ship with a teacher, even aged up). I just don’t see Inko being that type of woman either, I feel she is either loyal to her husband still or is much more focus on Modoriya. And I’m sorry to say (despite my Erasermgiht ship), if Yagi wanted to date he would have had someone already. Now maybe he did date but hero work got in the way, that still means he wouldn’t date. Yes he’s retired now but he still has loads of villains who would try to get back at him now so his hero duties will technically never be over.

born in portland, elliot was adopted when she was three years old by lynn & sarah sawyer. ellie is the oldest of the three sawyer kids - middle sister charlie (22) & younger brother skye (21) - though she acts like the youngest at times. very close with her family, grew up in a really loving environment;

began playing the piano and singing at school really young, writing lyrics and messing around with recording herself at home as grew up. music was something that came very naturally to her plus she always loved to perform for a crowd;

moved to california to study art at calarts when she was eighteen. during college, she began performing her original songs under the name of toile - its a french word for cloth and eliot spelled backwards so she thought it was really clever - eventually releasing her first single “catch” and then her first album, collxtion i, in 2016;

the album was a great success, critics & audiences praising her music and soon ellie was signed to vanity management. she moved to la in 2017 once she finished college, convincing her sister to move in with her so she wouldn’t be alone. the two settled in downtown la and ellie began working on her second album while gigging around the us;

collxtion ii came out in late 2017 and got great reviews though some people made a point on commenting on how pop music was vapid and pointless yadda yadda ellie just tuned those people out tbh, they just didn’t know how to have fun;

once she finished touring europe with her 2nd album she bought a nice house in la for her and her sister, big enough for the two of them and all of ellie’s art and their cats, plus it has a massive backyard with a pool and neighbors that don’t mind parties that much;

been working on her latest album, super sunset, for the past year and it is scheduled to drop on feb 15 and she’s super excited for it!!! besides her own work, ellie writes for other artists too, she really loves the process of writing especially when she gets to collab with other people.

Carlos is a sophomore jays a junior. Those two are the only reason why jays resistant. There’s also the fact any girl or guy jay shows interest in is threatened with a spotted toothbrush. So his love lifes basically non existent. Carlos grows on him though. Jay dates mal for a time but they soon realise who they’re with the wrong people (he like Carlos she likes Ben). Mommy’s little princess. can do no wrong. A saint in human form. She may be one of the popular ones but she never uses it to get ahead in school just spends her time volunteering when not helping at the school boutique for free. Basically adopted dizzy the moment she saw the girl struggling to open her locker. Hairs a middling blue and reaches her waist. Never wears trousers only dresses and skirts. Carlos de vil (middle name Oscar):

Again looks the same. Much more well adjusted cause here his mother’s nice and nurturing. He does have a vindictive streak in him though and is very possessive when he finds someone he likes (jay) being younger then the others makes him feel a little self conscious so he’s always trying to prove himself which leads to jay having to protect him (sneaking into a party underage and getting drunk. Stowing away in the boot of the car when ben mal and jay skip class to go to the mall) not as flamboyant as harry cause let’s face it no one is. But yeah he’s gay. Has a thing for fur lined coats. If it weren’t for the fact he’s very obsessed over jay you wouldn’t be able tell. Gets very upset when he finds out mal and jay are a thing. And I mean curls up into a ball covered in blankets upset. World does not deserve him. Really it doesn’t. He is a male version of Evie. Is the biggest devie shipper. Innocent but not naive. Instantly drawn to mal. Attracted to her eyes most of all. Grown rather tired of Audrey and chad. So when jay offers him a seat at jay mal and Evie’s table doesn’t think twice. Must be protected at all costs. Would do anything for anyone within reason. He’s even nice to the assholes (harry cause ben can see how much the birate cares for uma and gil). Dad has a massive share hold in the school so everyone treats him like a prince and you’re damned if you think he doesn’t live up to the nickname. Unquestionably the boss of harry and Gil. Both are utterly devoted to her. She’s a teensy bit like mal in that she’s a natural leader and terrifying when pissed of. Hurt her boys you’ll have her to answer to. Always at loggerheads with Audrey. Both are competing for the queen bee position at a he school. Everyone prefers Uma over Audrey though. Magics turquoise. Harry (full name harry hook):

Doesn’t give two shits about gender norms. If he wants he’ll wear the fanciest dress he can get his hands on. Make ups not as good as Evie’s but considering he’s half drunk most of the time it’s ok. NEVER call him gillman. Other than that he’s Winnie the Pooh in the body of the hulk. So. Damn. Innocent. Once accidentally stepped on an ant hill and cried for the rest of the day. Uma and harry has to buy him an ant farm so he’s calm down. Polite but give him enough malt liquor and his language makes harry blush. Always greets people with a massive hug. Which helps cause he and ben are the welcoming committee. Mal isn’t very accommodating to it though. (Doesn’t help that it’s the benign version of a sneak attack). She reacts badly and that’s what makes harry want to fight her. Gil doesn’t mind though and asks her next time. Like dizzy he’s pure sunshine and like ben the world doesn’t deserve him. The only one he ever shows any semblance of decency to is his cousin dizzy. He has or Evie will gut him like a fish Audrey ben and chad have known each other for years so him and Audrey are very territorial of ben and do not like it when he tries to split off from their little bubble. Would be alpha bitch. Thinks she’s all that but she’s not. Has a rivalry with Mal and uma. Mal cause Audrey’s unbearably perky and their parents have been trying to make them get along since they were kids. Uma because Audrey likes to be in control of everyone and everything and people don’t like her but they like Uma. Sickeningly possessesive of ben it comes to a head at the Halloween party where she cannot take no for an answer and mal ends up punching her out after she warned Audrey that “no means no so sling your hook or I’ll break your face” Audrey didn’t so mal did. Quite fitting really mal was dressesd as scarlet witch and Audrey was dressed as lorelai from agents of shield (look up the episode yes men. Harrowing). What’s more is Ben wouldn’t ever break up with her because he’s far too nice and he just wanted to sit down but no he HAD to dance with her cause she said and mal has that thing about fairness and ben did say no thank you so...... Lonnie (full name li Lonnie):

Wrestling captain. Badass. Mother Hen. Basically just wants best for everyone. bens biggest supporter. They have a sibling like relationship. Bit like jay and Evie and jay and mal once they break up. Does not like Audrey and doesn’t even try to hide it but ben gives people the benefit of the doubt and he just wants everyone to be happy. (Like I said the world does not deserve him). Was prepared to go in to mama bear mode before Mal got there first. Gives mal the “if you ever do anything to hurt them” speech mal says Lonnie has nothing to worry about. Once Carlos has chilled out a little bit she start dropping (not at all subtle) hints to jay that he and Carlos look cute together. Magics emerald green. Wiccan

Jane (full name Jane Dubois)

Has a perpetual deer in the headlights look. Ball of nerves. Nice to everyone but the sentiment isn’t returned cause they don’t really trust her seeing as her mother’s the headmistress. Has absolutely no gaydar. Seriously she thinks HARRYS straight. With Carlos it’s at least slightly more forgivable apart from the fact he’s never shown interest in any girl whatsoever. Poor girl thinks she has a chance when everyone can see he’s mooning over jay. Paralysingly scared of uma and harry (wouldn’t you be). Thinks she’s ugly but really just has a case of the sad eyes and an unflattering haircut which grows out over the year. Magic is periwinkle blue and volatile because she doesn’t trust it. So let’s see now

Ben took mal and jay to the mall just cause he felt like it (he knows how to have fun) but Carlos snuck along in the trunk. Lo and behold ben somehow chose one of the 10 malls mals banned from. So notorious she knows all the guards by name (her favourite is Irvin) they manage to evade him till they get to around the middle of the building. That’s when rotten to the core happens flash mob style. Mostly sang by mal and jay. And it’s rather affectionate. And it tears up ben and Carlos inside. They manage to escape and get back to the car mal and jay absolutely tickled pink ben laughing weakly and Carlos with red rimmed eyes. Then they get caught sneaking back in to the school by Verna Dubois Jane’s mother the principal. She is very disappointed Ben jay and Carlos have never had an infarction before and mal has only been there for a month (maljay has been a thing for about a week and a half and they are very much in the honeymoon period). Mals ready to take the blame but Ben won’t hear of it and insists Verna put him and only him in detention seeing as it WAS his idea and males already had a black mark on her record (her nearly killing Harry for trying to kill her on her first day) and another one won’t be good for her personally. Ever the shining knight isn’t he? The only thing verna feels she can do is put all four in the Klink. And joy of joys(!) chad and Harry are there too. Chad as it turns out just cannot keep his bigoted opinions to himself so harry decided to have some “fun” with chad in the halls (read violently and graphically tearing channings limbs apart in full view of the student body). Harry doesn’t even care there’s blood on his clothes so long as he’s defended his boy.

Halloween and Carlos’s tipping point

The party’s only for juniors and seniors so Carlos being a sophomore sneaks in and gets absolutely whammed I mean blackout drunk by the time jay mal and Evie get there (dressed as winter soldier scarlet witch and black widow respectively, Carlos is quicksilver). Carlos thinks it’s a nice surprise for jay cause he knows mal and jay broke up the week before (they’re not who each other want. Mal wants ben jay is developing an interest in Carlos though not for much longer in jays case). So he sees jay walking towards him but doesn’t register the pissed off look on jays face so he takes what he thinks is initiative and tries to kiss the taller boy. And doesn’t understand what’s wrong when jay pulls away and starts yelling at him about how embarrassing it is to have Carlos following him around like a shadow. How annoying it is to have to protect Carlos from himself (the mall the party). How humiliating it is for his dates to be scared off by a kid who’s younger than him. This goes on for some time and through it all carlos is getting more and more scared and desperate to keep jay by his side, clutching at him trying to make jay love him. It culminated in jay just pushing Carlos away from him and the smaller boy crashes into the drinks table so now he’s heartbroken and drenched in booze. Jay can’t believe he did that and tries to apologise but Carlos teleports back to their dorm in tears

Meanwhile mals been sitting down reading her mothers new spell book (Mallory snr gave it to her as a security type thing so she would t be as a nervous of the new school) when ben just flops down next to her tired from dancing. They strike up a conversation ranging from books to music and the like. This rubs Audrey the wrong way and she decides that Ben has rested enough and goes over to them demanding him to dance with her (well she didn’t use that exact tone but everyone in the vicinity knew what she meant) ben politely declines because he isn’t gonna up and leave mal in the middle of their talk (like I said the world doesn’t deserve him) Audrey takes no heed and carries on trying to physically pull ben away. This sets Mal off who says “hey Aud no means no so sling your hook or I’ll break your face” Audrey doesn’t believe her and tells the “neon gutter trash” to butt out because he is Audrey’s not mals. This sets mal off and she goes on the humans aren’t property speech Audrey has no idea what she’s talking about cause all she knows is bens the best and Audrey believes she deserves the best. Mal tries to make her see another point of view by doing that first thing that pops into your head thing. When Audrey looks at ben the first thing she thinks of status. Compared to what mal sees which is a wonderful brilliant person who deserves only good things and deserves to be as far away from Audrey’s bullshit as humanely possible because Audrey doesn’t deserve him no one does. Audrey doesn’t listen and tries to physically drag ben with her. That’s when mal punches her in the face after all mal did say “sling your hook or I’ll break your face”. It’s then ben and mal realise they’ve gathered a crowd Uma Harry and Lonnie are all laughing their guts out (no one likes Audrey). Mal apologies to ben and hightails it out of there. Ben manages to catch up with her outside the girls dorm building. This is when my girlfriend sucks happens. They almost kiss but mal knows ben hasn’t officially broke up with Audrey and she is not going to be the other woman no matter how much she hates briar

Next day at lunch mal tracks down Lonnie and says SHE almost kissed ben (doesn’t want to to put the blame on Ben)

An Essay on My Sexuality

For 17 years of my life I thought I was straight. I was raised by straight people and surrounded by straight people my entire upbringing. The first time I met an out lesbian, I was 15. She was a classmate, a friend my age, and it was then that I realized two things: I realized that not every girl that liked girls were butch, and I realized that kids my age were starting to realize these things. I never questioned whether or not I was straight because I knew that I liked boys, and I had grown up thinking gay girls were all dykes who played with monster trucks when they were little and grew up to wear flannels and cut their hair short. I don’t think I even realized Ellen DeGeneres was gay even though she came out three years before I was even born and I watched her show all the time. So to find out this girl that I’d become friends with and sat next to in French class had a girlfriend was almost like culture shock to me and my heteronormative life.

I knew boys were gay. My parents were friends with a gay couple, David and Jason, who’s cottage we went up to one summer and who gifted me a teddy bear and took me boating. They were flamboyant and wore scarves and one of them was an interior decorator. When boys in my class growing up were labeled “weird” or weren’t into sports, they were called gay. To me, that’s what a gay man was. Flamboyant, feminine, not into sports. In grade four, it was a common thing for the popular boys in my class to fake hump each other or pretend to want each other sexually, just to get a laugh out of the class. And it worked, too. We all thought it was hilarious. If you were gay, you were either weird or you were kidding.

Girls liking girls wasn’t ever really talked about. It was normal for girl friends to be affectionate and hug or say that they loved each other. If you dressed masculinely, played sports or hung out with guys, you were just a tomboy. Liking girls romantically was just never talked about. The first time I’d heard any of my classmates say the word lesbian or talked about liking girls, I was in grade seven and it was an accusation, an insult. The girls I considered my friends were playing a fun game where every time I went up to them, they’d run away or ignore me. I didn’t find this very fun, and I’d chase them or try to talk to them repeatedly. Eventually, one of the girls said, “Why are you so obsessed with us? What are you, a lesbian?” The other girls thought this was hilarious, and they moved on from ditching me to saying I was a lesbian. “It’s alright, guys, Lucinda’s just a lesbian.” “Come on, Lucinda, don’t deny it. We all know you’re a lesbian.” “Don’t go getting a crush on me, okay Lucinda? I’m not a lesbian like you.”

I was near tears trying to deny it. I was so angry. I wasn’t a lesbian, I just wanted them to stop ditching me. I’d always felt out of place among my friends. The town I grew up in was very rich and very white and very mean. All the girls I considered friends were blonde and mean, constantly back stabbing and making fun of others and creating new allegiances trying to block others out. I was at least a head taller than all of them, I was lanky, I was just starting to grow boobs, and I stood out like a sore thumb. I was also the only nice one of the girls I was friends with, the only forgiving one, and they used this to their liking. They would hurt me and immediately I would forgive them because to me at the time, that was better than not having any friends. This new accusation of being a lesbian was just another case of them picking on me in a way that was supposed to be in good fun.

In grade 8, I moved to a new province and started going to an all girls private Catholic school. Sometimes it was mentioned as a joke that girls who went to an all girls school would always end up lesbians, but none of the girls I went to school with actually were, at least to my knowledge. It was the opposite, really. They would take any chance they could get to interact with the all boys school we were affiliated with. Because it was a Christian school, being gay was a topic completely avoided so as to not stir up any controversy.

Then two years later I went to high school and moved back into public schooling, and I met my first real life lesbian. So the rumours were true. They did exist.

I never cared that this new friend of mine was gay. If anything it was a relief, because she was close with a boy I thought was cute and this meant she wasn’t competition. Sometimes she’d make jokes about being gay, and I would be surprised at how easily she’d talk about it. Then one of my sisters longest friends and someone I’d always been close with too, got a girlfriend, and I almost felt like I didn’t really ever know her. Then my best friend of 12 years came out to me, and by that point I was no longer surprised. A few months earlier, this friend had confessed to me that she drunkenly made out with one of her friends who’s a girl, like it was some big secret when I knew drunk girls made out with their drunk girl friends all the time. The fact that she’d told me the way she did, like she was testing the waters, made me see it coming when she came out. Now I knew three lesbians, and none of them were butch, and I quickly became used to the fact that lesbians existed and that some of them were my friends.

At this point I was also growing up. I was 15, nearing 16, and I was becoming more and more aware of the world and the people in it. I was becoming aware of issues in society and the things that were going on around me. I no longer saw everyone as automatically straight. I started caring about homophobia and racism and sexism.

The summer I was 16, I went to a Christian summer camp back in Ontario. I’d been there a few years already as a camper, and my sister had gone for several years and been a counsellor there too. That year, I was to be a Leader In Training. Two weeks of leadership workshops, a four day canoe trip, and then two weeks of being a counsellor. In one of the leadership workshops, we had a discussion about sexuality and the bible. They beat around the bush, telling some bible story that had nothing to do with the topic, before we really realized what they were saying: to them, the bible says that being gay is a sin. Homosexuality was not allowed at camp. Gays are going to hell. If a camper asks, that’s what you’re supposed to tell them, and in order to work at camp we’re supposed to sign a contract agreeing with this. Hearing this, and thinking about it now, created a pit in the bottom of my stomach. This camp was my favourite place on earth, did they really enforce that? Did all the leaders at camp, whom I’d grown to look up to, believe this? A lot of my fellow LITs were upset, and two of them, one a lesbian and the other an ally, went home early. I felt guilty for not joining them, for barely even speaking up. I thought this was just the company that owned my camp, InterVarsity, I thought it wouldn’t actually affect the part of the camp where I’d be spending my time. So I let it slide.

When I was an active counsellor at Girls’ Camp, things were different. I still had an amazing summer, but all the staff were there for their last year, talking in hushed tones to one another and not sharing anything with me. I found out after the summer was over that InterVarsity had been pulling aside staff members and asking them to go over the contract again to double check that they all agreed to this. The majority of them said no, and were fired for it. They fired the camp director, the co-directors, a lot of the leadership team, before they changed their terms. They wouldn’t have to go home right away, but this would be their last summer at camp. I was so upset. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to go back until they changed their policy, which I knew they’d never do. This camp where I thought everyone was so welcome, had been overtaken with homophobia.

When I tried discussing this with my best friend from camp, I found out that she agreed with them. She tried to tell me that being gay was a sin, she started quoting bible verses at me and talking like someone I’d never met before. I was appalled and shocked, and after sending her a long essay about how wrong she was, I never talked to her again.

That was when I first started really caring about LGBTQ+ issues. It wasn’t until it affected me directly did I realize the extent of how it affected anyone in the first place. I knew a bunch of girls from camp who were coming out as gay in light of what had gone down at camp. Before it was announced that America had officially made gay marriage legal, I didn’t even know it wasn’t legal. I had been so blissfully unaware.

From there I grew, and I started caring more and more about the issues around me. I was a strong ally in LGBT issues and I started learning more about racism, and I grew in the feminist that was already inside me. I started appreciating the sisterhood I had with my close knit girl group of friends, and appreciating the women who’d raised me. None of the women in my life were really that vocal about their feminism or femininity, so I started turning to celebrities for role models to base my feminism off of. I was actively seeking strong actresses to look up to, I was letting the amount of women in a movie affect my opinion of it over all, I was becoming less and less interested in the voices of the white men I’d been hearing my entire life and was looking for the voices that had been neglected throughout history.

When I was newly 17, I was comfortable in the fact that I loved women for their strength and their femininity and their sisterhood with one another. I loved how naturally beautiful they all were, I loved girls who were good at makeup and I loved girls who went all natural and I loved the curves of their natural rolls and their breasts and their hair and their smiles. I loved all of these things because I was a feminist and I knew that all women were wonderful and fighting the world just by being who they are. I didn’t think I loved women romantically, though, until I had a dream.

My dream was about that friend I met in my first year of high school, the first lesbian I’d ever met. I woke up feeling the traces of her on my skin that were never even there in the first place, I felt the warmth in my gut that she’d caused. I realized then that I could appreciate women not just with words but with touch, and they could appreciate me back. Shortly after this dream though, I started dating the friend of her’s I thought was cute back in tenth grade.

My relationship with this guy was predominantly physical, and while I was comfortable in my knowledge that I liked that with him, I also became aware that there was more. To put it frankly, I knew I liked dick, but I realized I would be okay without it. But during that summer with him, those thoughts didn’t matter to me just then, so I pushed them aside.

When the summer ended and I stopped seeing that boy, I came into my sexuality pretty quickly. I started realizing that I was actually also attracted to a lot of these female celebrities that I looked up to so much. My appreciation for women was also an attraction. I realized I wanted to kiss the softness I loved about women, I wanted to run my fingers through their long soft hair, I wanted to hear their delicate laughs and know I’d caused them. And not only did I want a physical relationship with a girl, but I wanted to have the close relationship that only came with romance. I wanted to fall in love with a girl, have her be my partner. I wanted to hold her hand in public and I wanted to tell the world how much I loved women. I was almost reluctant in the fact that I was still attracted to men.

I started coming out as “a little bit gay” to my friends, and they’d ask, “So you’re bisexual?” Yeah. I supposed that was the term you’d use for someone attracted to both guys and girls. I’m bisexual. My two lesbian friends were excited, and all my straight friends couldn’t have cared less. When I told one of my straight friends I liked girls, her response was, “Fair enough.” It was invigorating. I started slipping in gay jokes here and there, I started expressing when I thought an actress was pretty, and started sweating less and less each time I did it. I started reading gay poetry and gay written novels with gay stories within them. I started reading books written by gay writers about their experiences as gay people, I started watching more movies about being gay or directed by gay people. But I still hadn’t told my parents.

I was afraid to tell my parents because they were family. I could get new friends if they didn’t like who I was, but I could never get a new family. It became this big secret I had, when I grew up telling my parents everything. The more politically aware I’d become, the less I idolized my parents. I started seeing the flaws in the way they’d raised me and in the things they’d say, and I’d started calling them out for it. They’d be casually racist or homophobic or sexist, and they wouldn’t understand why I cared so much. They’d get mad when I’d tell them they couldn’t say the n-word in songs, or that they couldn’t use the word “tranny”, or that something wasn’t just meant for boys. My parents weren’t a fan of the language used in the hip hop music I liked to play, and they’d tell me to stop playing that “n- music”. They kept asking if my friend was actually gay or just confused, or they’d tell me about a “tranny” they’d seen on the street. When they found out I smoked weed, they were confused because they thought that was a guy thing. So naturally, I was afraid to tell them I was bisexual. With good reason too, it seemed.

When I did tell them, it was after yet another discussion about my friend’s sexuality even though she’d been out for two years now. They never discussed the sexuality of someone straight. I didn’t comment on that though, instead I said, “I’m pretty gay too, you know” and I waited for their reaction. There was a pause, and then a stare. I clarified and told them again that I’m bisexual and my mom asked things like, “How long have you thought that?” and the use of the word thought wasn’t lost on me. For proof, because for some reason I needed it, I told them about the girl I had a crush on. My mom said you can appreciate someone as a friend without it being gay, like this was news to me. She implied that boobs are fine, but did I really like vagina? And then she spent the rest of the night in an angry silence. My dad, trying to prove that he was okay with it, started making jokes by asking if I could still share clothes with my sister or if I had to dress butch now, or asking if I could still have sleepovers with my friends. For Christmas that year, even though by this point they’d gotten a little more used to it, I got a toolbox to keep my paints in. They said it went with my “whole new gay thing”.

I argued with them for a week or two, and it was awful. I was hurting so much, and I could see how differently they looked at me. For a while I wished that I’d never told them. Even now, though it’s been months, they still avoid talking about it. My mom always expresses how she wants me to bring a nice boy home, or asks if there are any cute boys I like, but she never mentions any girls.  She also told me I should make sure one of my close friends knows I’m not trying to hit on her when I ask her to see a movie. She told me to “not scare her off” with my gayness. She says I shouldn’t call myself gay publicly so boys know I’d still be interested. After I made a gay joke to my sister, she told me she was annoyed with all my gayness and to tone it down. When a girl asked me out on a date, my mom and sister both expressed disgust with how butch she was. My dad forcibly never mentions it. My brother couldn’t care less.

Realizing I’m bisexual was hard to come into because I was confident that I liked boys, and it never occurred to me that I could like both. For a long time I was afraid of the word bisexual because of the connotations that the word brings. It made me feel dirty and promiscuous and like I was labelling myself as confused when I’m not. Since coming out, things have never been clearer for me. I’ve found my voice and with each day I know more and more how to use it. I’m finally entirely myself, the last piece of the puzzle has come into place. It’s like a fog has lifted, like I’m finally home.

So, how do you feel about the last 3 chapters of the DBS manga and how they compare to the anime?

Okay, I just read the latest chapter. I’ll cover my thoughts on them all in bullet points:

* The rest of the fight with the Gods of Destruction was pretty good. Getting to see all their various powers was a lot of fun. But, my thoughts remain the same from when I commented on this version of the Zen Exhibition match from when I talked about chapter 28. It’s great that we got to see more of the GoD’s early on, and the fight, while not really that long, was a spectacle.

But, I still don’t know if this was the better option to Buu, Gohan and Goku fighting the Trio De Dangers. The GoD’s are important, but their main role in the story is going to be just gathering the fighters from other universes, commentary and coming up with some plans. It’s the fighters from other universes, and especially the Z fighters, that need the screen time and set up more, at least for this particular story (Fleshing the GoD’s out is also very important, but they’re all likely to appear in future stories anyway and have more time for fleshing out, so they shouldn’t take priority over pre-established characters and one’s that are more crucial to the actual tournament)

Going by this change, Majin Buu doesn’t get to do anything in this version of the story except fall asleep, which i’m sure is not going to go over well with his already frustrated fans at all. Gohan will have less time to set up his comeback and getting his fighting senses back excluding his fight, and manga only readers probably won’t get much time to get to know or care about the Trio De Dangers, assuming they still get erased first here, which is sad because they are well liked characters despite not really scoring any major victories.

It was a fun fight don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to say it was an outright bad change. But it does raise some concerns, is what I’m saying.

* I’m a bit torn on Toppo. On the one hand, it is cool to see what the guy’s really capable of, and him beating Goku in this version does help up the tension and make Toppo look like more of a bada## compared to the anime. But, at the same time he also feels a bit more… bland?

I mean, Toppo in the anime was a boisterous ham, very flamboyant and pretty upfront with the fact that the guy’s a sentai parody, but still someone you could take seriously despite the goofy mannerisms and speeches. It’s what made him entertaining. In the manga, while we do know a few more details about him like he’s a God of Destruction candidate, his personality feels a lot more serious and straight faced. It kind of just makes him feel a lot more plain, really. It also feels like Toyotaro just straight up dropped the parody aspect.

I mean, I guess given the different circumstances you could say this shows more of how Toppo acts when he’s not fighting people he considers evil, but I dunno. Given a lot of the original characters in the last few sagas felt more bland and less interesting with how Toyotaro wrote them, I’m kinda feeling like this is just another case of that.

I know some people would probably argue that Toppo still comes off better in the manga for actually winning against Goku, but there was a reason he didn’t just straight up win in the anime and Goku was allowed to briefly get the upper hand on him. It left Toppo shaken, gave us an insight into how much weight Toppo felt on his shoulders having to be the hero that everyone in his universe depends on.

And moreover his subsequent growing fear over Goku’s power and concern over the consequences of losing to him, especially since Toppo thinks Goku’s a villain, has caused Toppo to slowly have an emotional breakdown over the course of the saga, culminating in him telling Dyspo to stop caring about justice in episode 104 and that only survival mattered in the tournament of power. Which is a shocking thing to hear, since even two episodes ago he was still showing good sportsmanship and fairness in standing up for the Kamikaze fireballs right to transform uninterrupted.

We still don’t know where they’re going with that angle, we’ll probably see in the final stage of the tournament, but it does emphasize the inhumane nature of the whole set up of the tournament, and how the threat of complete universal destruction can break even the mightiest warrior’s resolve. It adds a sense of tragedy to the whole proceedings. Contrast that in the manga, where so far Toppo seems concerned, but otherwise extremely calm and collected about the whole situation.

I dunno. Again, he’s not exactly bad here, but I think I still prefer the anime’s take on Toppo so far.

* On the other hand, Goku does come off as a lot less of a careless idiot in the Zen Exhibition match portion of the story here, since no one knows about the universes being erased until after Goku fights Toppo. That was handled better. But then of course we get the nonsense with him not knowing how baby’s are born and how he wasn’t around for Gohan’s birth, and doesn’t seem to know when his birthday is for that matter. Which… yeah, I already wrote like a mega post about Toyotaro’s handling of Goku, so I’m not going through all that again. But to put it brief, I think that’s the most insulting thing done with Goku in either version, but hey, at least Toyotaro got one part right. 

Really proves my point from last time though. For every thing Toyotaro improves on compared to the anime, he has to throw in something else really stupid to counterbalance it. 

*Artwork continues to be lovely. Say what you want about the man’s writing, but God Toyotaro can really draw.

* I like Jiren here more than the anime. He doesn’t get a ton of character, but he feels a lot more like a noble superhero here, which is more than in the anime. Good going. Just wish Toyotaro could have done Toppo as well too.

* I prefer how the anime handled Bulla’s birth and Vegeta’s reaction. Vegeta being clearly concerned for Bulma and anxious for his child’s birth but too embarrassed to just admit it to anyone out loud because, hey, proud warrior prince from a culture that thrives on toxic masculinity. Even with the development he’s had, Vegeta still has a ways to go before he’s going to be open about his feelings to people. But it was still cute how much he clearly cared and wanted to do a better job being a father to Bulla than he was when Trunks was very young.

I also really liked how it was Trunks who first offered to let Vegeta hold Bulla, you can see Vegeta really considering the two of themselves for a moment and it leaves you wondering on all the thoughts going through his head before he quickly accepts her. There was some nice subtle symbolism there.

In the manga, Bulla being magiced out of Bulma feels like it was way too sudden, and we didn’t get time to see all the characters gathering around to see her like in the anime. Which, honestly just makes her birth come off as more incidental and just obligatory in this version. And not only do we not get to see Trunks here and his reaction to getting a new sister, but Vegeta’s reactions are a lot less nuanced. He’s just shocked with how Whis brings her into the world, and smiles as Bulma hands their daughter to him to hold and he comments “Ooh, it’s a girl”. Honestly, it’s still cute, but not as interesting nor does it bring out as many character moments from the cast.

Also, despite knowing that the universes would be destroyed in this version, Vegeta still refused to fight in the tournament before Bulla’s birth. Because of course that makes sense.

(Also I miss the effect from the anime when Bulla was being born. Her just popping into existence and falling out of the sky is slightly funnier, I guess, but not that visually interesting)

* I don’t know what to think about the scene with the Pride Troopers fighting the monsters in this version. On the one hand, it’s great to see them rescuing and evacuating civilians in this version, that was a nice touch. And it’s a bit bigger in scale despite not lasting long since all of the pride troopers are fighting a bunch of smaller monsters in addition to the big one (Which is a reference to a villain from a Dr Slump special. Nice).

On the other hand, like with Toppo in the last chapter, it kind of feels a bit less fun than the anime. The anime added a lot of dramatic flair to the scene between the music, the monologueing villain, Toppo Kahseral and Dyspo doing a roll call complete with a back explosion (Ahh, nostalgia), and some dramatic speeches. Sure, it was just three Pride Troopers fighting a monster in a seemingly empty city, but it was fun and really evokes the sense of a Power Rangers/Sentai giant monster battle (Just minus the zords) in an entertaining way.

Compared to that, the manga version feels more like stock superhero action. Which, I’m a geek for superheroes so I still like it, but it feels somehow less entertaining. Also, I don’t like how everyone ends up getting trapped in some sludge and Jiren has to save them all. I like how Jiren’s written here, but this kinda feels like it gives off a sense of he’s carrying the whole team and the other Pride Troopers aren’t really needed aside from clean up duty.

Which, okay, you could argue that in the anime Jiren pretty much carries the team since he’s the main threat for Goku to overcome, but most of the other Pride Troopers do put up good fights, and Toppo, Dyspo and Kahseral handled the giant monster fight fine on their own. So there’s a sense that even if they’re not all on the same level as fighters, they’re equals as superheroes protecting their universe.

I dunno, maybe I’m just reading too much into it. Again, it’s not bad, I just didn’t quite enjoy it as much as the anime.

* I miss Krillin’s fights with Gohan and Goku. I mean, I’m not surprised, it’s clear that Krillin having a character arc was an anime only invention and the manga usually has faster pacing and covers events like this quicker than the anime, so I expected some of the characters wouldn’t get fights in the build up to the tournament. But the downside is that Krillin’s participation ends up feeling a lot more obligatory and because they just needed to fill out space on the team.

Heck, there’s actually a joke where Krillin comments on how Goku seemed more excited to get 18 on the team than him, whereas in the anime Goku was a lot more supportive of Krillin and clearly wanted his help. And there was emphasis on how useful Krillin could be due to his experience in tournaments and improvisational skills. Plus his character arc prior about overcoming his depression and taking up martial arts again in the first place.

I mean, maybe Toyotaro didn’t want to hype Krillin up too much, since he does end up being the first elimination and a detail that seems like it would very much be a Toriyama’s draft kind of decision. I know a lot of people were shocked by how fast Krillin went down in episode 99. But he could have done something more for the guy.

So, yeah, I prefer the anime here too.

* I liked the fight between Android 17 and Goku better in the anime, it was just a bit better, though the manga’s is still decent. Interactions aren’t quite as good though, Goku mistaking the head poacher for 17 and putting on his mask (Which makes him look like Mighty Mask. Which, that feels too specific to not be a reference, in which case… why?) was just… kind of awkward. I preferred seeing Goku helping 17 out against the poachers.

Like the detail about 17′s family living on an island nearby to the one 17 works on though, that’s not a bad idea. Though I miss Goku’s excitement at seeing a picture of them, and we still didn’t get to see what they look like. I’m guessing Toriyama was too lazy to come up with designs? Eh, maybe in some breather episodes when the arc is done.

* I see the stuff with the space poachers isn’t in this version, though the minotaurus is for some reason. And apparently there‘s more than one of them in the manga. I understanding skipping the space poachers bit, it was mostly padding with a few amusing moments. Not sure how I feel about the detail about 17 agreeing to fight partly because he feels he owes Krillin one for wishing the bomb out of him. I guess that’s sweet though.

Also, Goku agrees to let 17 have the wish on the super dragon balls because there’s nothing he wants to wish for. Well, I guess we can safely say he isn’t intending to revive the other universes yet in this version at least. Don’t know why Toyotaro thought that was necessary to include, since he brought up that 17 didn’t just gather the regular dragon balls to wish for his cruise liner because he didn’t have time. Why didn’t he just have Goku offer to gather them for 17 then? 

Well, Okay, it was mentioned that asking Zen’o to change his mind about not erasing the universes might just get him angry and cause more trouble, but I’d have liked to see the characters dwelling on the prospect more.

* Oh, hey, Uub cameo. Eh, cool I guess, but I don’t see why everyone’s freaking out about it. Sure, it’s nice we see what may be one of his baby siblings, but we don’t find out anything we didn’t already know about Uub or learn anything that wasn’t also mentioned in the anime version. So, it’s a neat little detail that we actually saw him briefly, but not that important.

It does suggest Dende bringing up the idea of Goku training Uub was something Toriyama wanted to happen in the story though, which has me curious about whether the next saga or one of the ones after it is going to head into EoZ territory. Or maybe have another series set after it. I mean, that’s probably not the case and this is just some cute little fanservice to remind people that yes, Uub does exist and EoZ will happen, but I can dream.

* Why don’t they just chuck Buu in the Hyperbolic time chamber in this version then? We didn’t see Vegeta blowing it up again, and there’s at least a day left before the tournament at the end of chapter 31, it should only take four hours in the chamber to make up the two months Buu needs to sleep. Was it not repaired from it being destroyed in the Future Trunks saga? Would have been nice to mention that.

I dunno, Toyotaro usually gets a lot of praise from his fans for giving greater detail to explanations to stuff than the anime gave, so this feels like an odd oversight.  Either way, I miss the Fit Buu fight.

* I’m guessing the meeting between the Supreme Kais and the Gods of Destruction will either happen next chapter or in the one after it, or it won’t happen at all. Or maybe we’ll just have one chapter setting up the other universes fighters before the tournament itself. I dunno, I’m hoping Toyotaro doesn’t just skip out on setting up anyone besides the Pride Troopers before the actual tournament, that would be dumb.

I think that’s all I’ve got to say for now. I’ll let you know later if I’ve got anything else. I dunno, so far apart from Goku’s idiocy the manga’s handling of the universe survival saga hasn’t been bad, compared to the Future Trunks saga anyway. But it still feels less entertaining than the anime version anyway. A lot of the changes and ideas are interesting in their own right, but at the same time it feels like some parts are lacking. 

The last two chapters especially feel kind of like how the Champa saga went in the manga, basically just a watered down version of the anime events with a few interesting added details and bits of explanation, some things done better, but on the whole not quite as entertaining and fleshed out where it matters.

Again, not bad so far aside from some stupid stuff, but I wouldn’t call it Toyotaro’s big comeback or anything. I’ll still see how it goes for the rest of the story. It’ll be interesting to see which characters from the tournament might actually get more spotlight and more screentime than they did in the anime.

That’s really kind of the upside to having two versions of the same story that take noticeably different paths in adapting Toriyama’s outlines, when I think about it. The manga has a chance to flesh out certain characters and details that were given minimal detail in the anime, and vice versa. I still think the anime is the more entertaining experience as a whole so far, but despite my issues with the manga and I’m sure I’ll still have stuff to gripe about like I have with Goku’s portrayal, I can’t say I’m not also curious. So, it has that going for it.
