It's Thursday, let's break up on Thursday • kth

Pairing : Taehyun x fem!reader

Word count : 4k

Genre : fluffy fluff, college au, (attempted) crack/humour, song fic

Synopsis : You're frustrated with your boyfriend's behaviour so you ended up deciding to break up with him on a regular Thursday.

(+ a cute day out with him!)

Warnings : slight angst cause it's about a break up, mentions of food (pork belly and other things), misunderstandings, reader overthinks stuff, some swearing, use of nicknames, slightly suggestive (?? barely just some mentions of it ig)

That being said, the website thing I've mentioned in the story is completely made up and even though that particular website exists, it does not read out the same instructions I've written down (for funny reasons)

The bonus scene is just something extra I wrote for fun and wholesomeness and is not that much relevant to the point of the fic. However I'll still recommend reading it, so, enjoy!

Being scared of your own boyfriend.

Does that mean the boyfriend is a red flag? No. It's definitely you. Or at least that's what you believe in your head.

It's not been long since you started dating Taehyun. It's only been a month to be exact. Still you have yet to figure out how to act and react in a relationship and 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 with someone like Taehyun.

Taehyun first met you during a group assignment between science & mechanism and physical education students. It was kind of a big deal for your college too, to be holding a project, this large scale.

The two of you kinda seemed to hit off instantly as you were assigned partners and shared your interest in having the thirst for knowledge.

The project was to create a device that will somehow help in boosting physical activity level of an individual. It was a complicated assignment indeed, causing you and Taehyun to work really hard on it together non stop which led to both of you having to be inseparable for weeks.

You ended up always having lunch together, spending breaks together, and always being at each other's dorms. And neither of you seemed to mind the closeness and comfortability that naturally came with spending so much time together.

On presentation day, it was a huge success. So much so infact that the device you both created for your project, was used as an example to other students and juniors. That night you both went all out to celebrate. That night was crazy.

"Oh what's this? Kang Taehyun has brought cake? What about the calories??" you tease him, going through the grocery bag he brought full of things for you two to celebrate.

"Calories are invisible for me when I see stawberry shortcake. Besides, we deserve it" He puts both arms on his waist and gives you a proud smile, you return the gesture, smiling warmly as you nod in agreement.

"Meat meat meat!! Grilling the meat Taehyunnie!" You do a little dance and song while he grills the pork belly for the two of you to eat.

You missed to catch the glimmer in Taehyun's eyes, as he watches you being so excited, he stares fondly because it brings joy in his heart to see you so happy. The two of you feast till you're content and then ended up sprawled on the carpetted floor, stomachs full.

"It's funny that we spent this much time together for merely a college assignment. None of the teams probably took it this seriously" You laugh at the irony and he hums in response.

"Like seriously Taehyun? How did you even get so much free time? Do you even have any friends?" You say in a mocking tone.

"I am pretty sure I have more friends than you, actually" Taehyun says bluntly to your comment. But you're used to his blunt and absolutely savage comebacks at this point.

"Okay okay Mr. popular, you're probably right too." you give a weak laugh

"It's true, I am just a lonely girl and after this, now that the project's over, we don't need to hang out together all the time, we must go our separate ways and-"

You're interrupted by Taehyun suddenly getting up and coming on top of you. You're extremely shocked and fall stiff.

"Um...Tae-"

"Shut up"

"Oh um...sorry." you gulp. That was kinda scary.

"No I mean, shut up about what you said. Take it back. What do you mean we're going separate ways? We can only become closer from this point on" Taehyun says as he is only inches away from your face, yet there is no sign of any emotion on him, as always he is so hard to read.

"If you want to stay friends Tae...we can, I will be more than happy to-"

"Friends? You really don't get it do you?" He says as he closes in the distance, to the point he's practically breathing on your face.

"I like you" he whispers and you surely felt your heart skip a whole beat.

The two of you just stay silent in the same position for a full two minutes. You needed to process what just happened.

You'd admit, you had feelings for Taehyun too, the way he smiles so rare but so pretty, the way he is so passionate and talented about his work, the way he randomly starts doing push ups anywhere and looks so hot while doing them. He was such an attractive guy, but you never took your feelings into consideration as he was kind of your first friend on college grounds. You didn't want to confuse romantic and platonic emotions.

But now that Taehyun, the Kang Cold Taehyun has confessed to you, you felt a wave of confidence beginning to loom over you.

"You like me? I like you too... Should we date?"

You finally give a reply to the boy hovering above you.

He gives away a soft smile then gets up, reaching out a hand to help you get up as well.

"Alright it's getting late right now, tomorrow is class after all"

"Huh what? What why where?"

Before you're able to process anything, Taehyun places a lingering kiss on your cheek and gives you a smile and a wave goodbye and immediately he is out the door.

"Good... night?"

That was the day it officially all began. Taehyun the dreadful boyfriend era.

The two of you never 100% established that you're officially dating, but you're going along with it.

There were quite a few significant changes that confirmed you're dating, like how whenever Taehyun and you walk side by side now, he makes sure to grab your hand. Another thing is he invites you over to eat dinner together basically every other day. It was fun but also nerve wrecking.

But besides the hand holding, You knew that Taehyun is not the best example of a warm and affectionate person, so the lack of touch that comes with being in a relationship was evident. But it still annoyed you so bad, the two of you didn't even kiss yet! What is this? Middle school?!

Something else that bothered you is how much Taehyun doesn't have any opinion on anything. Whenever the two of you eat together or plan to watch something together, he lets you decide every single time. Who does he think you are, some sort of decision factory?!

Another change that freaked you out was : As friends, Taehyun was always so precise, whenever the two of you ate out, you would always perfectly split the bill but ever since you began dating him, he's bought you, your morning coffee, every single day! Even when you refused, he forcibly insisted?? Taehyun would never spend for someone's food like this. It made no sense.

And yeah okay sure, maybe he is an affectionate "would do anything for you" type of guy after all and you misunderstood him? Not! because the most important thing to him is his gym time. This was confirmed by your conversation with him on last Thursday.

* "Taehyun! My evening classes are cancelled! If you want we can hang out a bit extra today! Maybe go to the arcade, have some-"

"Oh today is lifting day. I'll just meet you at our usual dinner time. My place again today?"

"Uh...yeah sure.." *

You were heartbroken! Is "lifting" more important than spending quality time with your girlfriend?!

Oh and yeah the dinner thing probably seems sweet...but he never stays the night! Even if you'd be finishing until 11:30 pm, he'll not let you walk home all alone in the night and go with you to drop you off, but he definitely won't let you stay either!

Every damn thing of Kang Taehyun as a boyfriend confused you. And you've been wrecking your mind to try and figure out the whole dating situation, so you give up. It's just a simple first time dating someone, it's really not that deep, plus it won't be like he would be heartbroken ; so you decide to break up with him, this Thursday. You two were truly better off as friends.

Thus began, the depression arc.

This week you had been incredibly sad, you even missed a few classes and deadlines, especially weird when you're always so punctual and attentive, but suddenly you seemed to lose motivation to do absolutely anything. After barely getting through the first class this morning, you slump on your desk instead of going out for break like you usually do.

"Hey"

You were disturbed from your nap by a poke on the head. You slightly lift up your head to look at the culprit of the person that woke you : who else but Taehyun.

You respond in groans and he sits down next to you, in that empty classroom.

"I brought you your lunch here. Your welcome."

"Don't wanna" you whine

"But you have to. What's up even with you lately?" He asks, sounding confused but mostly, concerned.

"It's your fault!" You speak without thinking, still half asleep.

"My fault? Did I do something wrong? Tell me if I did something to make you uncomfortable"

"No. Bye. Break time is almost over" You're blunt and reject his politeness.

"I'm not going until you eat. I'll feed you myself if I have to." He insisted, stubborn as always

He'll feed you? by his hands? You blush. The offer was so tempting. But you must resist, you can't lead him on by acting lovey dovey if you're going to break up soon.

"I swear I'll eat in the next break, just go okay? I don't want you to be late to a class because of me."

"If you insist" he shrugs in dissapointment. And as your eyes watch him leave the door, they almost get teary, you wonder why.

Today was the day. Taehyun asks to have dinner with you again, so you go along because it would seem too unusual if you refused to have dinner with him. That's literally the one thing you guys do together. And probably the last time you will do it ever.

You realise you're a bit upset that you could lose you're only friend in your college by breaking up with Taehyun. But you assumed that he is a mature man and will probably continue the friendship, going back to the things and how they used to be. Finally.

You were less excited for tonight's dinner though, breaking up seemed easy but it was still a bummer. Even when Taehyun said he'll make fried rice for you, which was special because he would usually make some protein rich, healthy food, but today he was making your favourite. Gosh why today of all days he decided to be so sweet?!

When you arrived at his dormroom, you tried your hardest to maintain that cold aura. You exchanged fewer words, took off your coat and sat on the floor table. Still, Taehyun greets you with a smile.

"I have good news."

Why?!! you wonder, now you bringing the bad news will be such a downer!

"What is it?"

"All of tomorrow's classes are cancelled due to a condolence holiday, we can stay up late! In celebration, I bought cheese tteok and ice cream" Taehyun beams.

Actually this news cheered you also up as well too, like a free day off from school was always something to be happy about.

Taehyun brings in the pot of rice, two bowls and you begin to have dinner. Usually you start the conversation, but not doing so the two of you ate in silence. The uncomfortable awkward-ness started to build up from this point on.

When you both finished, you helped Taehyun to clean up. At the beginning of your friendship, he would strictly refuse for your help to clean up because of his default polite personality but gradually, he got better at taking help from you since how often you'd come to his dorm, you practically lived there. (but of course you're still pissed off about the fact that he never asked you to stay over, though)

As the tidying and dishes were done, Taehyun suggests to play a videogame together but you brutally refused to which he pouts. You can't spend time in bonding with him right now, it's too late. You're about to break up with him any second now.

So you just sit on his couch scrolling through your phone, trying to distract yourself from the sight in front of you, that is, Taehyun doing his after meal work-out session. Even though it was annoying, he looks hot while excercising, so.

To try and find some motivation and ideas, you look up on your phone : "How to break up with your boyfriend?

You take a look at a site called wikihow, seemed suspicious..

" Method 1. Kill them"

You almost choke on air.

": If your boyfriend is dead! The relationship doesn't exist anymore! Super easy plan"

Wow okay um...if that's number one then what's number two?

"Method 2. Burn down his house : He will get too busy in trying to find a new house so he will break up with you himself!"

Is this site...for real????

You change up the text on your search bar to "How to break up with your boyfriend *gently* ?"

This time the results were different and safer. Phew.

Step 1. Compliment him

"Tae, uh you have some nice muscles you know? It's looking good"

"I know. Thank you"

Okay next...

Step 2. Try to start a conversation with him

"Taehyun come here. Can we talk?"

"Sure...?" He comes and sits beside you on the couch.

Step 3. Hug him

You give Taehyun a hug, he seemed to tense up a bit because he was surprised, but quickly returned the gesture, wrapping his arms around you. It was such a nice hug. He's so warm and muscular, yet soft, hugging him feels like the most comfortable heaven. You're going to miss hugs like this

Step 4. Say that you want to talk about something important

"Taehyun, I need to tell you something important"

"What is it? You can say anything to me"

Step 5. Rip off the bandaid!

"I wanna break up" you realise you only think the words and not actually say them from your mouth which lies hanging open. Taehyun watches you, confused.

"I..."

"Is everything alright?"

"I uh.."

"Are you crying?" Taehyun asks as he frowns with worry

"Huh? What? I am?!"

You touch your face and it's wet with hot tears. Sad feelings starting to sink in.

"I'm- I'm sorry"

"Why? Are you okay? What happened?" Taehyun voice is soft and caring as he cups your face.

You give in and start to sob, crying hard. You didn't contemplate the fact just how hard you had fallen for Kang Taehyun. It's true that even though there so many things that bothered or confused you, there were enough factors that kept you wanting more and needing more of him, all the time. He's imperfect but perfect as well and you loved him, you couldn't break up with him, you just couldn't.

"I'm sorry I can't" you sniffle

"Can't what?" He asks wiping a tear

"Can't break up with you"

Taehyun's jaw drops lightly, he really did not expect you to say that

"Who is asking you to do that? It's not like I'm breaking up with you"

"Oh yeah..." you let out, feeling dumbfounded

He smiles, in amusement almost.

You frown and throw a light punch to his arm.

"I'm breaking up with you because you're a terrible boyfriend!"

"I am?!"

"Yeah!" You sob more

"Uh did I do something wrong?"

"Everything! Taehyun you don't understand, this is my first real relationship and you used to be my only friend, so whenever I feel stressed about something on how to act or react as a girlfriend, or how everything is so confusing I cannot ask anyone or rant to anyone because I'm just a sad loner and and-! just! I don't understand anything!"

Taehyun lets out a small laugh and you look at him in confusion.

"Why don't you rant about your boyfriend to me...as your friend?"

"But you are my boyfriend!"

"Pretend I'm not"

"Well..then" you begin, wipping off a tear.

"My boyfriend is so annoying because he always pays for my stuff even though I never ask him to"

"Maybe that's his way of showing his love for you, his love language is acts of service?"

"I suppose that makes sense...But he never lets me stay over! Like we are boyfriend and girlfriend for fucks sake we can sleep together if we want to!"

"Maybe he is scared that if you stay over, his temptations will get to him and he is afraid you're not ready for taking that step so early into the relationship"

"Um well..uh he totally loves gyming more than me! He spends more time at the gym than with me!"

"Maybe if you voice your demands to him, he will comply and spend a lot more time with you, whenever you need"

"But but... he's so distant...we haven't even kissed yet!"

And instead of getting another logical (and wholesome) reply from your "best friend" Taehyun leaned in to press a kiss on your lips. It was soft and warm and sweet. You felt so happy to kiss him.

He separates the kiss and you feel like crying even more.

"Taehyun... you're the best boyfriend ever! I'm sorry I doubted you... I'm the worst"

"Shh shh...do not say that about yourself. I'm sorry if I seemed too careful or too distant. I will try harder for you."

"Me- me too! Taehyun...I love you"

"I love you too." He places another peck on your lips

"And really, you can just ask if you want to sleep over...but don't blame me for what happens after that" he gives you a playful smirk making you blush

"Kang Taehyun you drive me insane!!"

Step 6 : Congratulations! You have broken up with your boyfriend unsuccessfully!

(♡Bonus Scene♡)

"Tyun. Today I will take you out for the best adventure ever!"

"Oh?" he perks an eyebrow at you "but what's the occasion?"

"Hmm just, you'll see!"

That conversation you had with him, this morning, in the bath, while he was washing your hair. It isn't a often thing you two would shower together, but since you've grown so comfortable with him and today you really needed to save some time...

It was the best bet (even though it was so relaxing to the point you would spend the whole day right there but no way that's happening because it will probably be a health hazard)

Taehyun was confused about it all. It wasn't like today was your anniversary, birthday, valentines day, none. But you very specifically asked him to finish all his assignments beforehand, take an absentee from class and spend the whole day with you.

You had even picked out clothes for him by your choice, he was still confused but gladly accepted anything you ask him to do because he trusts you so much.

When he saw that the two of you, actually, matched clothes, like a cute couple pair set of clothes, he nodded and gave you a bright satisfied smile and a peck on the cheek. You're excited to receive those kind of reactions from him all day long because of all the surprises you planned.

Another surprise was that you would be driving! Although you would be using his car, cause you don't have your own. But since he's always the one driving for the two of you so you wanted to give him a break and return the gesture.

"But-"

"No buts! today you're the passenger princess babe, now hop in!"

Taehyun rolls his eyes at your teasing, though his heart flutters at you puttting in so many efforts just for him. He feels so loved and so in love, it's practically too much.

You drive around for a while, your destination clear in your mind. But even if it took quite some time to reach the location, the car ride was far from boring. You had put on a playlist of Taehyun's favorite songs, to put him in even higher spirits than he already was.

When you finally arrived, It was at a park, a hiking park to be specific.

"Wait baby really-? Are you sure you'd wanna do something like this? Will you be even alive?!" It seemed like he was joking but by his expression, he was genuinely concerned for your well being, knowing very well how much you hate any sort of physical activity.

"I'll be fine and we won't go that far so really you don't need to worry" You give a reassuring smile.

And yes, it's a shame you're not as physically energetic and adventurous as your boyfriend but that is exactly why you chose this place, it was perfect because it was completely unexpected. And his excitement was so clear on his face, it was so worth it.

The two of you began moving up the rocky road, hand in hand (or you'd probably fall to your death if he wasn't holding on tight)

The weather being perfect, just as you'd hoped it'd be. Despite your exhausted self, you appreciated the beauty of the hiking park ; there were flowers on every edge and small animals here and there.

As soon as you started recognising the pathway more and more, it was now you guiding Taehyun instead of him guiding you. He was surprised at your sudden enthusiasm but followed patiently nonetheless as you led the way.

You came to a stop to a bunch of trees that had hanging branches. Taehyun gave you a confused pout as to why you stopped suddenly and your heart did somersaults at his precious face.

"So, as we go through these branches, I want you to close your eyes."

"Huh? Why?" gosh he's stubborn as always, you think.

"just! please! or else I'll do it myself with my hands!"

"Okay okay" He finally closes his eyes. You firmed the grip on his hand and dragged him ahead, moving a few bushes and branches with your free hand.

"Okay" you sigh "You can open them now"

Taehyun's big eyes, grew bigger than ever and sparkled more than ever at the sight.

It was a giant tree, decorated with all sorts of confetti, ribbons, balloons, streamers and lights. One of the big branches had a swing attached to it, The swing was also adorable. There was a wide and thick picnic blanket spread across the grass. There was Large carving of yours and Taehyun's initials on the tree trunk. There were even Polaroids of you and Taehyun with tiny sticky notes next to them, bearing sweet messages, stuck on the tree.

It was absolutely beautiful and the most breath taking scene ever.

"So...what do you think?" You ask, expecting some words from your awe-struck boyfriend

"I...I don't know what to say.." Taehyun's eyes glimmered, almost a bit too much. Was he actually.... crying?!

"Taehyun are you-"

He interrupted you by lifting you in the air and twirling you around. "It's amazing. it's the best thing anyone has ever did for me! I love it so much!" He beamed.

His face was flushed and eyes were watery, surprisingly, but he had definitely teared up. Still you didn't ask about it as to not embarrass him and ruin the mood.

"I'm glad you like it!" you wrap your arms around his neck, leaning in closer.

"Like it? I love it! I love you!" Upon saying that, he immediately connected your lips, you're fluttering with affection.

The two of you, after hugging and kissing a bit more, finally settled down on the picnic blanket to enjoy the spread of lunch you had prepared. His compliments were endless, even if he wasn't a talkative person, he just couldn't stop expressing his love for you again and again.

"Love, please, would you tell me why all this special treatment you're giving me today? I'm so grateful for it but come on, there has to be something right?!"

"Why? I did it because you deserve it so much my dearest tyun!"

"that's not what I-"

You laugh. "fine fine, I'll tell you why I decided to do all of this, today, especially"

He leans in closer to listen attentively.

"So Taehyun, ready for the big reveal? Today is the anniversary of....'I was almost about to break up with you but I'm so glad I didn't and not doing so was the best decision I ever made' Surprise!"

His mouth was left hung open, unsure of how to feel about that information.

"Oh... really? why don't I remember that..."

You frown. "Geez Taehyun! unromantic as always!"

"Huh??" He's left more perplexed making you burst into laughter at his cute reactions.

"I'm kidding! and technically, it's the anniversary of our first kiss as well so it's on you for forgetting about that!" you give a light punch to his shoulder and he scrunches his face to give a fake dramatic reaction.

"Okay okay I'm sorry for not remembering, I suppose I have to kiss you to commemorate the occasion, so?"

"Hmm. You may." you shrug jokingly, receiving a laugh from him.

He leans in for a soft kiss, and a lot more.

But deep down you knew that you thought of this day as something else really, It was one of the biggest reliefs of your life, for not breaking up with Taehyun. Or that would've definitely been the worst kind of mistake as he's the best person you've ever met and loved and will continue to love forever.

"Hello?"

The warm sound of his voice left you with even more desire than you expected, still you're trying to compose yourself here.

"Taehyun...what are you doing?"

"I'm actually really busy right now, I have a lot of work to finish up here it'll probably take me long, maybe even after midnight"

"Oh..uh" you stammer unable to confess the reason you called

"Is everything alright? Why did you call? Are you okay?" The concern was obvious in his voice, breaking you even more and needing him even more. But you just heard about how busy he is, you could not bare the thought of requesting his time and it'll just become another chore for him in his busy schedule. Of course he loves you, but with darkness fogging your mind, all you could think of was being an unnecessary burden if you asked for help.

So all you could react was your voice cracking up as you try to mutter up a lie.

"Uh not at all! I just wanted to know what you were doing for the day since you didn't respond to any of my texts"

"Yes, so now you know. But are you sure there's nothing else?"

"Nope! Good luck with your on-going tasks!"

"Okay... Bye, and please if you ever-" *beep*

You did not realise the fact that he was adding more at the end before you were quick to hung up on him.

Well that's that then. The only light in this moment of darkness seemed to be also fading. What a stupid analogy, you thought and yet it felt exactly that way.

It is a bit abnormal to not ask for help from any other dear friend or family member if your boyfriend isn't free but you couldn't help it. You'd embrace any insanity if it means you'd admit that Taehyun is your comfort, your only comfort.

Right now, all you could think of was being in his warm arms, wrapping you around to hold you close as you wept and wept in his chest and he would patiently listen to your rants, that's just how Taehyun is. He's perfect when it comes to comforting, because he listens so well. He will not interrupt and begin to start teaching ways to deal with the problem like any other person likely does. He just listens with full attention.

But here you are, curling up into a lifeless pillow stained wet with fresh tears, lost in somewhat of a daydream that the soft cotton article was your precious boyfriend.

Of course that delusion isn't the only painful thought bothering your mind, as your fears and insecurities began to tangle in your mind because of the failure you had to face today.

Your wallowing that went on for what felt like hours, was rudely interrupted by the loud sound of your doorbell ringing through your apartment. You groan trying your best to ignore whoever is the awaiting person on the other side of the door. But they ring again, and again and it pokes your anger that you are forced to attend to the door after all.

You finally managed to get up from your cold yet comfortable bed, dragging your feet to the get to your front door. You assume it's probably the building maintenance guy or maybe some Amazon delivery you've long forgotten about ordering, because you really weren't expecting anybody right now.

You open the door with probably the worst, annoyed expression on your face. But it immediately shifts to a shocked one when your eyes come in veiw with the person standing in front of you at the door.

It was Taehyun.

You feel a wave of emotions hitting you, as he just stood there without a word. But you could feel your heart beat faster at the thought of finally seeing him again. You feel a slight excitement begin to stir in you.

"T-taehyun...what are you-" He interrupts you as he bumps into your shoulder, barging into your home. You're left still as he intrudes, quickly making his into the kitchen.

He rather aggressively opens the freezer door and stuffs a bunch of items inside that he had brought with him in the little brown bag he was holding.

All you could do was watch him, completely perplexed at what's going on right now.

When he was done, he began practically marching back to you. He shut the door that was left hung open and turned to face you. You notice how his face is scrunched up into a frown before suddenly he grabs your shoulder, making you look at him, eyes still wide from shock.

"You really thought I wouldn't notice?" Taehyun finally breaks the silence, starting off with an angry tone.

"What do you mean...?" You ask in a low voice, genuinely confused what he's so worked up about.

"Really?" He scoffs "Did you really think I wouldn't notice the super obvious sobbing coming from you when you called me. You're a really bad liar you know?"

You gasp, unable to comprehend the fact that Taehyun showed up just because he heard you cry. Your heart feels warm at the thought and you couldn't help a small smile pull at your lips.

Taehyun sighs before bringing his arms to wrap you around into a hug. Finally.

You feel yourself slowly melting into his soft touch as he moves his hand to lightly pat at your back.

"You got me so worried you know? Please don't lie to me next time" He huffs out, still holding you tight, voice quite and soothing.

"I'm sorry tyun... But are you sure this is okay? You being here? What about your work?" You ask as you couldn't help but worry for his sake even when you need him so much.

He slightly pulls apart to meet your eyes. "It's okay. I've dealt with it so you don't need to worry. This is much more important." He brings a hand to cup your cheek and you willingly rest your face in his palms.

"Now, what's got my sweet angel so gloomy?" He asks, making your heart flutter with the nickname and the way his voice is filled with so much care and love for you.

You bury your face in his chest as it takes a little hesitation to admit the reason for being sad.

"I..." You trail off, still unable to describe something you feel so ashamed about.

"It's okay, take your time." He brings a hand to caress at your head. And maybe it was his comforting but you're finally able to spill it out.

"I got my report card today and I.... failed" you let out a sigh as you feel slight warmth creep up your face, feeling like crying again.

"Hmm.." Taehyun doesn't respond much, still placing gentle pats on your head.

"Come with me." He pulls apart from the embrace and takes your wrist, lightly pulling on it for you to follow him.

He takes you to the couch and sits on it, so you also sit next to him, thinking he probably wanted to take a seat.

But he clicks his tongue and says "No, you lie down" as if he's pointing out the obvious but you're only more confused.

"Huh? But then there won't be enough space to-"

You're interrupted by him suddenly grabbing hold on top of your head so strong, that he drags your entire body to lay on the couch, placing your head in his lap.

You look at him, blinking your eyes in the surprise at the small smile of his lopsided face that fits in your veiw.

"Really?" You ask, stating the obvious of the position he wants you to be in.

"Yes really."

So you adjust yourself to get more comfortable and lean in more of your weight in his lap. Strangely his firm and muscular thighs were feeling rather comfortable just like any other pillow or actually even better than that.

He leaned down to place a kiss on your forehead, dusting your cheeks with a red hue and naturally a smile appears at your lips. He starts caressing your head again, lightly playing with the strands of your hair.

He presses down a thumb on your aching temples and you can't help but let out a relaxed sigh. He works his fingers firmly between your eyebrows, massaging out the pain you were bearing with all day.

He squeezed and rubbed all over your forehead to the bridge of your nose, for quite a while, and almost lulling you to fall asleep.

He relaxed his movements, now gently tracing every inch of your skin on your face and stopping over your lips. He leans down to place a soft peck on them, making you finally open your eyes to see his face again.

His eyebrows are slightly tilted in worry "Your eyes are so puffy, did you really cry so much? All alone?"

"Yeah... I'm sorry, I should've told you sooner right?"

"Don't apologise. Yes you should've but it's okay, I'm here now. If you want to cry more, you can, I'll be here through all of it"

His words make you feel so warm. "I surprisingly don't, probably because the best boyfriend in the world has made my worries all fade away" you made him smile brightly with your compliment.

"Well then, do you want to rant about it?"

You shift your weight to the side and move in closer to him, wrapping your arms around his torso and pressing your nose against his abdomen.

"Ah I don't know tyun. It really sucks, it really does"

"Hmm I know"

"I really did study so hard and yet.." as you begin to vent, you feel the tears threatening your eyes again, even if you really didn't feel like crying any more.

"You did, you worked very hard. I'm always proud of you"

"But I still failed.."

"Love, if you don't mind me asking, what subject was it?"

"Ugh, It was Calculations..."

"Oh? The one with that grouchy professor?"

"Yes that's the one. God I hate that class so much"

"Me too, I hate it because it caused my angel so much distress. I bet he failed you on purpose too. That sick old man is probably projecting his crap on the poor students, and it's worse if he does it on you."

You burst out into a fit of giggles at his "over- protective boyfriend mode", turning to look at his face again.

"You really think he would do that Taehyun?"

"I don't know, but I know that you definitely deserve more. You work so hard."

You laugh more "Thanks babe but I'm genuinely bad at calculations"

"Well then...do you want me to tutor you?"

You get up from his lap to look at him directly in the eye. "You can do that?"

"Yeah well, I'm kind of good in math and stuff so if you want..."

"But you're so busy! Are you sure you can fit that in your schedule?"

"Yeah, I can make time if it's to help you"

"Oh my gosh, yes please! It will help me so much Taehyun! Thank you!" You immediately grasp him into a tight hug, smiling against his neck.

You've always done extremely well with any sort of personal guidance when it comes to studying, it really helps to have an assistance for when you're stuck or have a doubt. So his offer was definitely something to be excited about.

"Taehyun, you won't be strict with me right?" You ask jokingly.

"I mean, if it becomes necessary then.." He smirks to tease you.

"No! I only want gentle and sweet Taehyun please!" You pout.

He laughs at your cuteness "Alright alright" he placed a peck on your pouty lips. "Anything for you"

You blush at his gesture. He truly is the best boyfriend ever. You look at him in awe as your heart swells for the love and adoration you have for him. It's because of him, you can smile today, it's because of him you can smile on any day.

You return the kiss into a longer one, it's soft, sweet and warm.

He pulls apart to give you a smile. "There's a thing I forgot to mention"

"What is it tyun?" You cup his face.

"I bought a tub of ice cream for you, it's your comfort food after all."

You gasp and squeeze him into another hug "Kang Taehyun I love you too much!"

Been a while since I came back on Tumblr and I want to say thank you for the support on my writing! It makes me so happy to see this kind of positive feedback in such a short time especially when a while back I used to be always too insecure to post any of my works! but again, the reactions are so fulfilling! (⁠*⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠*⁠)

Sadly I've been having a bit of a creative block recently caused by exam anxiety ●⁠﹏⁠☉

But I'm determined to write more! So I have two main ideas I really want to try writing, but can't decide which one to begin with so, if you are reading this post, please help me choose which appeals to you more!

Pairing : Huening Kai x reader

Warnings : kissing, angst if you squint

Synopsis : your adoring relationship with Huening Kai lacks a very important factor.

The main thing that anyone would expect with a romantic relationship, is the closeness. Not of just of the hearts but the bodies too, close proximity, warm touches and comfortable embrace with the person you love so much.

But it was odd why that wasn't the case with you and your boyfriend.

You look up at your bedroom ceiling, snuggling a Molang plushie, the plushie that was a gift by the person you wanted to hold so bad instead of it. But it does the job for now.

You get up, sighing to look at the shoujo manga that was flipped over. You took a pause from your night reading time, getting caught up in your own thoughts.

"Gosh why am I reading this when I have a boyfriend of my own!" You screamed in frustration tossing the poor book on the carpetted floor. You blush, embarrassed at your own little tantrum and burry your face into the soft white plush.

You look up in determination, deciding to end your lonely suffering, you grab your phone which was sitting on the bedside table.

And immediately you went to call the specific contact ID of..

"Hyuka♡⁠(⁠˃͈⁠ ⁠દ⁠ ⁠˂͈⁠ ⊂)"

A few seconds of ringing later, he picks up. You gasp, slightly surprised because it wasn't really the best timing for a phonecall.

"Hello?"

It's a mere normal response, but his voice making you already feel giddy by just that. JUST THAT!

"Hey Kai... you're not asleep yet?"

"Hmm I was going to, but you called so.... Did you need anything?"

"No I don't need anything I just..." Your heart races and you bit your lip, unable to confess how much you missed him, to the point you were driving insane.

"Hey? You there?"

"Yes! Actually...I do need something"

"Oh? What is it?"

"You"

He was silent for a full 30 seconds or so, you could only hear his breathing, making you lose patience.

"Oh.."

"Well, I miss you too" and he chuckled, making your cheeks heat up, and a smile pulled at your lips.

"You do? Really?"

"Yeah of course... I'm always thinking about you"

"Gosh you...so you don't mind if we talk for a while?"

"Not at all! I would really love to"

"Alright then...huening, can you move to the window?"

"Okay" you hear rustling and you also, get up on your knees and lean towards your bedside window, resting your elbows on the window sill.

"The stars are so pretty during this time of the year" you smile wider, looking up at the magnificent distribution of glittery dots across the dark night sky.

"I see it, it is indeed very beautiful" he said as he does the same in his own room, staring up at the starry sky. you hum to him in response.

"Not as beautiful as you though.." he suddenly said, making you blink twice, face immediately flushing with heat.

"I- wha- me- uh- um- but- huh?!" You could only blabber as a complete natural response.

He laughs "Aw, I wish I could see the look on your face right now! I bet it's super pink and adorable"

You take in deep breaths, trying to compose yourself from all his sweet compliments that let your mind run haywire.

"Hueningie...I want to see your face too..."

"Oh? Should we switch to video call?"

"Ah...no no, we'll see each other tomorrow at school anyways. Meaning we should probably sleep now." You reject the tempting offer.

"Alright then, good night, my uh honey?" He said, feeling a bit shy about using that nickname.

"Bye, Sweet dreams honey.." you use the same to show that you liked it. After that it was a whole minute of silence because the both of you hesitated to hang up.

You flop on your bed, now screaming into your pillow, kicking your feet on the mattress out of frustration.

Frustration of how loving Huening kai would be the death of you.

The next morning was all normal, you got ready for school and everything was going fine until, it was even better when you saw your boyfriend, of course heading in the same direction as you.

"Hyuka! Good morning!" You wave to him cheerily and he reciprocates the same energy.

"Good morning! Shall we walk to school together?"

You laugh "Is that even a question?"

You both walk side by side with your shoulders occasionly bumping into each other. It was peaceful, rather it should be, but you could not get one thought out of your mind.

"Why doesn't he just hold my hand?! We're dating for god's sake!"

Although you were also very much responsible for the absolute lack of skinship in your two week relationship with Huening Kai as much as he is, but shouldn't the guy in the relationship be all bold and cool and lift his girl off of the ground in a swift move, making her flustered?!

And just by that idea you were already flustered. You get so shy and panicky, which was to you, reason enough to not make a move on Huening kai.

Your gushing thoughts were interrupted by feeling a light brush of Hueningkai's fingers on yours. Your heart immediately jumping out at the slightest bit of contact. You turn your head to look at him.

He had his lips pursed and eyes fully concentrated down on the spot where both of your hands hung next to each other as you walk.

Your eyes lit up, realising that Kai had the same thought as you! This gave you the much needed boldness and encouragement to grasp his awaiting hand and intertwine your fingers with his, holding it tightly.

Kai stiffened for only a second, surprised at your action but also delighted which immediately brings a smile to his blushing face.

You're overjoyed at the feeling too. His hand is much bigger and warmer than yours which made it so comfortable to hold it. You never ever wanted to let go of this new and wonderful feeling.

But eventually when you reached the school entrance and stopped by the lockers, you had to. Very unfortunately.

The school day went on, average and boring as usual. Fourth period was a free one. Which gave your classmates some ideas.

Everyone gathered around one desk to play Spin the Bottle. Now generally you aren't the most participative in such type of games or activities but since you were bored and didn't want to feel left out, you joined the circle. Your friends and Huening kai were playing anyways too so you thought, why not?

The game began, loud and full of energy, making you laugh a couple of times at your classmates' antics. Countless of teasing and noises on every round.

Shy teens made cheek kisses, and bold ones full on started to make out, leaving the crowd well impressed.

As the game went on, and on about the 6th round, you felt anxiety course through your spine when you noticed the one end of the bottle, pointing to you. Nervously you lift your eyes to look at the other end, the other person the bottle stopped on.

You felt relief wash over you, when you realise it stopped on Huening Kai. He's your boyfriend so it should be easy to kiss him.

Right?

You looked at his face, expression is so shocked you're starting to feel offended. His eyes are practically popping out of his skull. You watch his reaction as he swallows down a lump in his throat, cheeks turning pink.

"Oooohh! The class couple! Put on a show!"

"Booo! That's too easy! Re-spin! re-spin!"

"Aw shiiippp!"

"Laaaame!"

"Make out! make out!"

Your yelling classmates started to deafen on your ear because all you could focus on Hueningkai. You're going crazy to know, what's going behind that confused pretty head of his?

"Come here Kai. Give me a kiss" You say rather boldly and cheers and whoops burst between the crowd.

Everyone reacted in a positive way at your proposition, of course everyone except Hueningkai.

He looked away, averting his gaze. "I can't..." He mumbled.

And all you could react to that was a scoff to hide the fact that you were on the verge of bursting out in tears.

Still, you couldn't take it anymore so you rushed out the classroom, leaving behind more dissapointed noises and a "wait!" from a very sad and guilty boyfriend.

You run, unsure of where to go, you run out the school, finally making a stop to catch your breath in front of some of the cherry blossom trees that surrounded the building.

You can hear loud footsteps approach you. You make an obvious assumption as to who they might belong to, so you refuse to turn around. And prepare to make a run for it, again.

But he won't let you get away, so he grabs your wrist and pulls you around by your shoulder to forcibly turn you around to face him.

You only realise you're crying when Huening Kai brings a finger to your face, to brush off a teardrop from your cheek. You look up at him, as he's breathless but his eyes show determination and yet they're scared too.

You blink away more tears, pushing his hand off you.

"I'm so sorry. Listen to me, I can explain-"

"What's there to explain Kai? Actually I really don't get it. What did you want when you confessed your feelings for me? What do you expect in a relationship? That we just send hearts at the end of every text message and that's it? Because that is not what I want. I want to touch you Huening Kai. I want to hold hands all the time, I want to hug, I want to cuddle, I want to kiss you all over your face and especially on your lips. Because I'm so attracted to you! But are you even attracted to me?! I don't understand it at all Kai! I just want to be able to touch the boy I love if I want to! But if that's not something you want then- hmmpf-!"

Your endless rambling was interrupted by a soft pair of lips crashing into yours. Your eyes widen so big, and your heart beat rapidly increasing.

It lasted only for a moment, before he pulled away with the slightest smirk pulling at his lips.

"I... what?" You were dazed, unable to compute what just happened.

"I'm sorry. I really am, but it isn't true what you're thinking of me. I love you so much and I'm so attracted to you, to the point that I don't think I'll be able to control myself whenever I'm around you. You're so cute, I just want to squeeze the life out of you. But I tried my best to always resist such feelings because I was nervous, I was stupidly scared that you didn't actually like me, that you just accepted my feelings out of pity and that's why I didn't dare do anything because I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable ever. But that's not true at all and instead I ended up hurting you even more, I'm really sorry for that. Back there in the classroom, I'm sorry for rejecting you I would never reject the girl I love so much. it was only because, I didn't want our first kiss to be part of a silly game, I want it to be special because that's what you deserve. I don't know how you'll forgive me for my dumb mistakes but I want you to know how much I deeply love and treasure you and I really do find you the most beautiful person alive."

He responded to your ramble, with a ramble of his own. But his words were so genuine and so real, you felt butterflies fluttering in your belly and your heart ached as you felt your love for him grow stronger in this moment itself. His reasoning made sense, almost making you feel embarrassed for having such conflicting feelings when you should be happy for being so lucky to find a boyfriend like Huening Kai.

"Kai... you're so- ugh! I'm sorry I just-" He immediately hugs you, taking all of your body in his arms and burrying your face in his chest. You sigh into that warm feeling you've desired so much.

"Don't you dare apologise! Please just let me know if everything is okay now right? that you believe me?"

You look up at him with a smile "Yes, it's okay, never been better, I believe you Kai and I love you"

His smile was so wide he was practically beaming. "Then I hope it's okay...if I do this.." Huening kai took your chin in his fingers, slightly tilting his head and leaning down to meet your lips again.

You sigh into the kiss, at the wonderful contact, this time the kiss being slow and deep, lips brushing against each other perfectly and you felt sparks fly. His lips were so soft and sweet, it was almost unreal. Your bodies pull in closer to one another, his hand firmly at your waist and your hand moving up slowly to tangle your fingers in his soft hair.

You pulled apart for merely a second, feeling so giddy so you placed more kisses leaving smacking sounds on his lips and the entirety of his face. His lips and cheeks were unbelievably red and so were yours.

Your heart was so full, you ended up giggling because of all the overwhelming emotions bubbling up inside of you.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting to do that!"

"Me too" He said and placed another peck at your lips.

Suddenly loud claps and hooting sounds could be heard from a distance. The two of you pull apart from each other, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you both turn around together to look up at the source of the sound.

And it was your entire class watching and applauding from the first floor of your classroom window. Everyone was crowding, sticking their heads out to apparently watch the very intimate scene between you and your boyfriend that was very entertaining to them, judging from their wide grins and cheers that you can spot from the given distance.

Huening and you just look at each other, bursting out in laughter at the funny situation. It was a little embarrassing but it couldn't beat your happiness of the moment.

After that incident you did not know what you had in store for the Kai Kamal Huening boyfriend experience.

Aka, clingiest boyfriend in the whole world.

Huening kai does not just hold your hand when you walk together, no. He's joint to you by the hip wrapping you around in his arm everytime you walk next to him.

He's constantly surprising you with back hugs or by covering your eyes from behind, to the point it's not even a surprise anymore but you will never question it because of how much you enjoy it.

If none of your parents are home, he'll immediately pop up at your house and vice versa which was one of your favourite times together. You'd make plans to study or play games together but all that is thrown out the window once you're in his arms, resulting in fluffy cuddles on the bed or couch.

Kisses are endless, the two you would make any and every excuse to kiss each other, whether it be on the hand, cheeks, forehead and lips. But you still get super flustered when he sometimes places them on your neck.

Even your mostly supportive classmates were now fed up with the over-bearing amount of PDA. They gave you two the title of "cheesier than cheese itself"

But you couldn't be happier to have and love this wonderful, soft, clingy and cuddly boyfriend of yours!

TXT imagine : How they would confess to you on Valentines Day

Pairing : TXT members x gn!reader

Genre : Fluff

Word count : 1.5k

Yeonjun :

He would definitely make a big deal about it

So he's planned everything out, he is going to give you a big surprise!

He would film himself a tiktok/vlog or video how he spent the whole day buying decorations, snacks, cake, and gifts for you!

He would ask one of the members to stall you outside while he goes and decorates your whole place in pretty balloons, pictures, glitter, confetti, etc.

When you finally come back home, and you're welcomed with the beautiful surprise, house lit up with heart-shaped red and pink lights and decorations. You look at the pictures that were hung up on the wall, with small sticky notes next to them, talking about those memories.

You read the balloon letterings as they spelled out "Will you be my valentine?"

"Hey" your gushing is interrupted by Yeonjun as you finally turn to look at him, he was holding a bouquet of roses in his hands, smiling widely in anticipation, waiting for your response.

"So, what do you say?"

"Yes! of course yes!" You immediately go to throw your arms around him, embracing him in a tight hug.

You were so overwhelmed by all the love and joy and emotion that you didn't even notice Soobin was standing there filming all your raw reactions!

Then the two of you spend the rest of evening, eating the sweets and snacks he bought while watching the video he had made all day, in which he cannot stop rambling about how much he loves you <3

Soobin :

Soobin gets his romantic inspiration from one important source :

Anime.

So what he really desires is a typical beautiful anime confession under the cherry blossom tree at sunset.

Your heart beats with anticipation when Soobin texts you to meet with him at the nearby cherry blossoms tree park.

When you reach there, you were slightly dissapointed to see that none of the flowers are in bloom yet, it was still a little bit beautiful with the trees covered in snow though.

You search for the exact location of where Soobin asked to meet you, rushing to him when you finally spot him, waving his hand in the air.

"I did not remember the fact that it's still winter when I meant to invite you out here but..."

He hands you a pretty pink envelope with a heart stuck on it.

You open it, it's filled with words. The sweetest words anyone has ever said to you. Soobin was shy so he wrote his heart out for you in that letter. He wrote about every little detail he loved about you, and how much he wants to love you forever.

Small sobs leave your throat as you try to hold in the wave of tears that threatens to leave your eyes because of the deep emotions you felt from reading his beautiful letter.

You suddenly saw, light pink paper conffeti floating around at you, making you finally lift your head from the letter to look at Soobin who was currently throwing fake cherry blossom petals at you, while making an expression aslo looking like he was going to burst into tears.

You laugh at his cute and funny stunt of throwing the petal confetti. "Gosh this is all so amazing and incredible and...I love you so much Soobin!"

He hugs you tight as soon as the words left your lips, both of you beginning to cry your heart out, but they're all tears of pure love and joy! ♡

Beomgyu :

He actually, doesn't make a huge fuss about it. But he definitely plans it for a really long time.

He asked you weeks before valentines that if both him or you are not able to land any dates and end up free on the 14th you'll both go on a date together.

So he spent the whole week before the big day, scaring off any guys that were going to approach you or ask you out, with you having no clue whatsoever about the whole situation.

14th February is finally here, and as promised, you go on a date with Beomgyu since you both ended up free (all according to his plan of course)

First he takes you to an arcade, the two of you getting worked up in your competitive spirits and making a bet about the person that wins the most games, will grant the other's wishes.

Beomgyu, being the expert that he is, beat you by a 12-15 ratio, kind of spoiling your mood when he teases you so much for it.

"Alright alright stop bullying me already, what's your wish?" You ask, kind of nervous on what he has in store for you.

"I'll wish later my genie, let's get something to eat first!"

The two of you go to a nice barbeque place, when Beomgyu gets up to go grab some items from the buffet, your thoughts wander on how you genuinely enjoy this date, and you wouldn't want it to end.

You finish your meals and Beomgyu asks you to wait outside the restaurant for him, with your eyes closed. You're confused but you follow through, anxiety heating your cheeks as you can't see anything, but you wait for him patiently.

You feel a soft thing touching your body, your eyes snap open in reaction, coming in veiw with a ridiculously giant stuffed teddy bear. Beomgyu's head pokes out from under the bear's arm, and he has a dumb smile plastered over his face.

You can't help but burst out in a fit of laughter at his cuteness.

"Happy Valentine's day!" He exclaimed, handing you the bear.

"Really? You're giving this to me?" You ask, a bit shocked but still really happy about the gift.

"Yes I am! You have to keep it okay?" He insisted, pouting

"I will, I will! Thank you so much this is so sweet!" You say, hugging the bear. "But wait Gyu, what was your wish all about? Do you still want that?"

"yes and my wish is...this"

He said in a low voice, hands pushing down the bear, and slowly moving to cup your face, leaning down to place a peck on your lips.

You're left in shock, face flushed from the sudden kiss but you finally giggle, bringing your hand to his neck, pulling him down for another one.～⁠♡

Taehyun :

(I just know that Taehyun is the biggest romantic even if he doesn't seem like it)

You were so busy all the time with work and assignments that you completely forgot that something like Valentine's day exists.

So when you get a text from Taehyun to come over to help him with something, you didn't think much of it at all.

When you get to his place, you notice the vibe there was definitely very weird, the lights were off with only a few lamps and a few candles lit up. Scented ones you realise when you can smell sweets like cupcakes or something, in the air.

Taehyun asks you to take a seat, not showing even a pinch of his nervousness in his demeanor about what he's about to say to you.

"So what did you need my help with Taehyun?"

"Yes, the thing is, I've been writing a song these days and I'm going to sing it right now, and I want your honest opinion on it"

"Okay sure! Go ahead!" You say in excitement as he plays a melody on his phone and unfolds a peice of paper with some lyrics printed on them.

He begins to sing in his beautiful and crystal clear voice, sending chills all over your body. You loved listening to him sing so much, his voice was really your favourite. You close your eyes and you let yourself relax into the music of him singing so well for you.

The lyrics were rather... romantic, oddly for Taehyun, because he usually doesn't write such cute and lovely words, but it was still so sweet and you felt your heart ache, almost as if you were hoping he would dedicate these words to you.

He finishes the song and you immediately start to clap your hands in the undying appreciation you had for him for putting on the brilliant performance.

"That was incredible Tyun! What's the song called?"

He hesitates for a bit in giving you a response before he finally tells you.

Your shock was evident on your face as your lips fell apart, dark red painting your cheeks, when he said that the title of the song was your name.

"Wait w-what do you mean?" You say, kind of scared, not letting your hopes up.

"It means I love you. And that I meant every word I sang in the song, for you" Taehyun confesses and your heart skips a beat. You gasp, from the surprise and happiness, and you pull yourself closer to him, placing a kiss on his cheek, making his eyes lit up.

"Taehyun...I feel the same way, I love you too, so much...thank you, for all this"

He holds you tight, letting out a heavy sigh in your neck almost as if he was holding his breath in from how nervous he was. He placed a kiss on your forehead before smiling to look at you.

"Come on, I cooked something for you, your favourite" he said grabbing your hand and you squeal in excitement.

Huening Kai :

He would plan everything perfectly only to...chicken out at the last minute.

He had bought you so many cute plushies to express you how much he loves you, and take you to an aquarium to see cute fishes and penguins and present all the gifts there. He even bought the tickets beforehand!

But when it came to inviting you out he was so awkward and scared he completely messed it up :(

"Hey? You doing anything tomorrow?" He asked you the day before after mustering up all his courage.

"Yeah, I actually do have plans but they're not valentiney. I have to help my dad with cleaning out his garage space, he's been asking me non-stop!"

"Oh..." Huening Kai replied in a very low tone, defeated and unable to bring himself to ask you for the date.

So he did what any single man does for valentines day, sit in his bed all day, surrounded by hundreds of his plushies and munch the sorrows away by eating ice cream.

Well that was until he checked his phone, heart jumping at the fact that you texted him.

My love ^3^♡ : Hyuka! Hey i was bored so I texted you lol

My love ^3^♡ : I'm actually finished up with my dad quite early yay

My love ^3^♡ : So...wyd??

It's like you had read his mind! Or heart! He immediately began to text back the first thing that came on his mind.

Hueningkai : I love you!!!!! >3< ♡♡♡♡

He realised that might me a bit too straightforward so he was about to delete that message but his life flashed before his eyes when the message suddenly showed 'seen'

My love ^3^♡ : Really?? Is this a prank?

Now he cannot say he's pranking you because then that would be lying and risking hurting your feelings. Gosh this was not how he planned it at all.

Hueningkai: wait no its not! I actually do love you! No joke! I want you as my girlfriend...

My love ^3^♡ : Omg? I can't believe it...me too Kai! I love you too.. >\\\<

Hueningkai throws his phone after reading that last message.

And you're wondering, feeling slightly dissapointed that he didn't reply to it, you put down your phone finally because you've been emptily staring at the 'seen' message for about 10 minutes now. You're nervous that you could've scared him off.

But it was infact, quite literally the opposite.

Your moping was interrupted by someone on the door, ringing the doorbell a lot more times than necessary.

"Coming coming!" You yell to the impatient person as you rush to open the door. You were surprised to see, Huening Kai, panting heavily, and face glistening with sweat. He was also carrying a huge bag

"Kai! Oh my god! Did you just...run all the way over here...??"

"No! Yes! I mean yes! I did! And I'm so happy but we have to go!!"

"Go? Go where?" You were still trying to wrap your head around the situation.

"The aquarium! Before it closes! Hurry! Get your bags or anything!"

"Uh um? Oh? Okay!"

You quickly rush to grab your purse and keys and you glanced yourself in the mirror for a second before getting out and letting Kai drag you wherever.

The aquarium was so fun and amazing. you and Hueningkai took a lot of pictures together with the fishes and the penguins, and with every stop he would give you a plushie and tell you one thing he loved about you which made your heart brighten so much. He was so happy that things fell into place after all.

The two of you had a beautiful first date to start off your beautiful relationship together <3

Pairing : Sunoo x fem!reader

Synopsis : Y/n is working late night at her job at the ice cream shop, it's boring as usual until a familiar face walks in.

11:03 pm, you look up at the clock behind you, it's almost time you closed the shop. Working at "Ice-cream f♡r 2!" has been in your routine for the past about 4 months now. When you saw the "help needed, hiring" poster of the shop for the first time, you knew it wasn't a chance to miss. A popular and aesthetic ice cream parlour to work at, that fits perfectly with your schedule, is close to your dorm AND has a good pay, you immediately signed up. But now regretting that decision as how obvious it is for the name of the shop, all customers were always couples. Always. It wasn't a particularly problem to you, just on an emotional level it was a bit draining. In school, you've always just been a goody two shoes, to focus on your own self, never really hanging out with many friends or acting on your crushes. You've lost connection to your school friends and were too anxious to talk to anyone since you've started college. The only person that you recently started talking to is Jake, he's in your photography class and you both were assigned to a project together. He's a big sweetheart and really fun and reliable that NOT befriending him will be a harder task, you hadn't had the courage to ask to hang out with him separately though, like outside of the working on the assignment.

*Ding ding* The parlour door chimes open. "Hello, is this place still open?" The sound snapping you from your thoughts and making you stand up straight and get into your salesperson position.

"Yes! Welcome to Ice-cream for two! What can I- WAIT KIM SUNOO?!" As you notice the customer, you recognise him, interrupting your sales pitch. Kim Sunoo is Jake's dorm-mate and close friend. You've greeted him a few times when you would go over to their dorm to work on your project. He was extremely bright and friendly making everyone smile with his energy, so you have felt slightly bit attracted to him in the least. I mean Sunoo is very handsome too. There's no denying it. But given your personality and the fact that he's already dating some girl from nursing department, you wouldn't dare make a move on him.

"Ahh Yang Y/n? Wow what a surprise, do you work here?" Sunoo said as he entered the shop and stepped infront of you. "Yes haha as you can see" you point at your frilly uniform apron. He frowns "Wow do you always have to work this late? Must be tiring" he seemed almost concerned so you immediately waved your hands frantically, telling him no. "It isn't like that! I just had closing duty today and it's not so bad to work here" you chuckled nervously. "Hmm this shop is quite cute. I remember that Soo-hee always gets ice cream from here." "Oh your girlfriend right? Yes she always gets this "strawberry kisses" flavour! Should I serve it to you?" You say trying to sound as cheerful as possible.

Sunoo's face immediately lost all it's colour as you said that, he lowers his gaze and looks like he's about to cry. You realise this expression can only mean one thing. "Oh my god I'm so sorry Sun-" "Yeah, we broke up, just a few hours ago actually haha, so I guess my purpose of coming here is clear." He looked up smiling apologetically. Seeing him like this absolutely crushed you and you felt like you were about to cry too. "What happened?" You asked him, trying to lift the heavy silence.

Sunoo sighs "Soo-hee said something like how she's bored now and she met a guy who's 6'3 who asked her out and he's much hotter or something like that" he sighed heavily and you scoff "Wow what an absolute BITCH!" Hearing that from you Sunoo looked up at you with innocent wide eyes. "I apologise for my profanity, but that's actually so disgusting and pathetic of her, just like her usual icecream flavour too, Strawberry kisses is made of strawberry ice-cream mixed with a bunch of gummy candy and its so gross and tasteless, just like her." Sunoo cracked up and laughed very hard for a full good minute, which made you blush and smile widely, hearing his laughter and watching his eyes get squinted so cutely like that because of something you said, made your heart feel like it was beating 90mph. Sunoo finally calmed down and spoke up "You're too funny Y/n! Thank you so much for making me smile right now" his eyes sparkled when he said that making your stomach get butterflies. You smiled "Anytime."

"Okay!" You clasped your hands together and pointed them out towards the ice cream freezer in front of you. "You're here for ice cream aren't you? So tell me what you would like! I can recommend you a few flavours...hmm, this "Heart-shaped Chocolate Cake" flavour is really popular these days! Heh it's a long title but it's really good. Also "Mint spring romance" most people avoid it, but personally I think it's just right! "Ah mint choco is my favourite! And ofcourse If it's your recommendation I will definitely take it! One double scoops in a cup please." You smile in response "coming right up!"

Sunoo sits at one of the couch tables, with the heart shaped cushions, nearest to the counter, waiting patiently for you to get the ice cream. You bring over two cups of ice cream, place them on table, sitting beside Sunoo on the couch. He looks confused for a second "What? Can't I have a little sweet treat for myself too? We're basically closed now anyways." You smile playfully and Sunoo nods smiling as he agrees.

You both sit in comfortable silence, eating away at your ice creams until Sunoo looks at you, now almost staring, making you look back at him. "What?" You spoke up. "Oh it's just..." He trails off with an expression of unsureness on his face untill he finally continues again. "Y/n how come you're still single?" As hearing those unexpectimg words from his mouth, your eyes widen so much and you almost choke ok your ice cream out of shock. "E-excuse me what?" Sunoo tries to explain "Oh sorry! I know it's random it's just you're so pretty, funny, smart and also so sweet...when Jake told me you weren't dating anyone, I was very surprised." You blush profusely at the compliments, mind going blank at the fact that Kim Sunoo was saying them to you. You try to pull it together to respond to him. "Um Sunoo, do you really consider me all that? Is that really what you think of me?" Now it was Sunoo's chance to be embarrassed, his face going red at the realisation of everything he just said. "N-no! I mean yes! I mean I didn't mean it like that!" You giggle at his adorable shyness. "I mean I wouldn't mind it if you did mean it that way." He stares at you again "What way do you mean Y/n?" Sunoo said in a low calm voice. "Y-you know as in.." "As in if I was flirting like in a romantic sense to you?" He finished your sentence and you nod lightly to agree with him, yet dying on the inside at this kind of situation you've never experienced before in your life and yet you wanted to so badly. You both stare at each other again for a while when suddenly his eyes fall on your lips. Suddenly he giggles "You've got icecream on your lips" you scoff "So do you!" "Want to help each other to clean it off?" He says teasingly making you laugh nervously "what would you do if I said yes?" Then without words, Sunoo leans into you getting closer. You close your eyes and take a deep breath, you open them to meet Sunoo eyes waiting with an endearing and anticipating look. You notice that he's waiting for consent and you nod. Sunoo closed in the proximity between you two and your lips touched. He leaned in further, deepening the kiss and lightly grabbing your arm while you reached out to intertwine your fingers with his of the hand resting on the table. The kiss was so sweet and so gentle and as promised, Sunoo licked off the icecream on your lips, which you repeated his action. You both finally pull apart, face flushed and smiling. You look away, burrying your face in your palms, completely flustered, realisation kicking in that you just had your first kiss with the most handsome boy you've ever met in your life. He removes your hands from face, still smiling sheepishly. You giggle "So...?" "So.. Would you like to come with me to the new cafe that opened recently nearby? I promise we wouldn't have ice cream!" You laugh at his adorable question and he joins in laughing too. Both of you squeezing your hands holding tighter and you smile while blushing to respond "Ofcourse Sunoo! I would love to come with you and I can even tolerate ice cream" both of you burst into laughter again.

Now you definitely you never regret to start working at 'Ice-cream f♡r 2!' you're no longer gonna feel lonely working there either
