I have zero contractual obligation to do this, but I’m doing this anyways because I think it’s genuinely a really cool app, especially for note-takers (both for professional, school, and personal usage).

EVERNOTE BABY (it also has a desktop version!!!)

I was watching TikTok before it gets banned, as one does, and I came across a video of someone talking about the whole issue with Google Docs issuing the stuff you write in a doc to train AI.

I don’t know what compelled me, but I went into the comment section to see what others had to say, and saw someone recommend Evernote for- not only keeping track of notes for stories, but also being able to add media and other stuff pretty easily (I’ve only used the note-writing bit since I’ve got it [2 days ago], so idk how that part works just yet).

The home page of Evernote is really nicely structured imo. You have notes at the top, and everything else at the bottom. There’s other options to add as well in settings, it’s not limited to just those three, but that’s all I personally see a use for with what I’m using the app for.

Now time to show off the cool shit this app can do in the notes section because that’s what I mainly use this app for, using an example from the character notes for the FNF au!

The larger and bolder text is done similarly to Microsoft Word and Google Docs, where there’s a bar above the keyboard that has all the text options.

You can bold, italics, underline, strike through, change text size, create a bulleted list(or a numbered/lettered one if you prefer that), you can indent your shit so that you can now format text to school standards (how every English paper demands an indent with a new paragraph 😒), and more.

That little grey bar separating Nene from Darnell, and Darnell for DD, is done by putting three asterisks (***) OR three equals (===) on a line and then starting a new line. The app will automatically turn it into that kickass grey bar!

There is (sadly, imo) an option to use AI to “clean up” your notes/text. If you don’t want it, don’t use it. I’d prefer if they didn’t have AI in the app all together, but, to me, it’s really the only downside to this app. And- in their defense- as far as I know, they aren’t using it to steal your data or train AI like Google is.

So, once again, not a contractual obligation, but I do genuinely like this app literally in just the two-ish days I’ve used it so much that I’m literally actually planning on moving all my notes regarding my stories to it.

I think I’ll still keep actually writing my stories on the built-in notes app, but that’s mainly because the format I write in is so I can easily keep track of what I need to italicize or not, and using the built-in functions of Evernote for that will make transferring it to ao3 so much more difficult imo.

So, I’ll personally keep the stories to the notes app, but transfer the actual notes to Evernote because it’s formatted better :>

NEW AU I CAME UP WITH REGARDING C, SPIRIT, AND SOUL’S HUMAN DESIGNS BECAUSE I GENUINELY LOVE THOSE DESIGNS (I wanna redesign Soul cuz the colors/color combo irritate me)

Basically, it’s just a college au I SHIT YOU FUCKING NOT. It’s literally just a goddamn college au.

If I were to even write anything for it (which I really want to do, which will only ever release once the main bitch is finished cuz a plot-point in this au will spoil the fuck out of a plot-point in the OG au if I write it rn), it’ll be C-centric (YAAAAASSS MY EMOTIONALLY STUNTED BOY) and it’s honestly just an excuse for me to write a silly little ship-fic of him and Spirit(Sebastian, his headcanoned human name is Sebastian, fuck you) with Blue, Soph’s, and Pico’s whole love triangle not at all being important LMFAO

I really don’t want to do my Psych essay, so here’s a list of all the FNF AUs I have made since coming up with the OG, extensive au.

Starting off; OG au, Just because I can. Started off as Corruption mod brainrot, turned into a whole ass au with a fully functional plot line that I am SEVERELY procrastinating on because ✨frighten✨

I want you to keep in mind that a lot of my au’s after actually spiral from my main OG au.

Then we have an Avatar: The Last Airbender au. I basically said “fuck Korra, she don’t exist” and made Blue(BF) the water bending avatar. The plot line is changing from what I originally had it, but here’s everyone and their bending skill that I have come up with so far: (also more airbenders exist because yeah)

Blue(BF); water bender. Also the avatar

Sophie(GF); fire bender (and so are her parents).

Pico; earth bender, with an affinity for metal bending

Nene; air bending. She gives me gymnast/acrobatic vibes so yeah.

Darnell; Fire bender with blue flame and access to lightning bending.

Cass; combustion. Idk, I don’t care for Cassandra or her goons much, but it felt right.

Cyclops; earth bender, affinity for metal bending

Hanzo; non-bender but is a Chi blocker.

Alucard; air bender. He feels like an air bender to me.

Spirit; water bender

Soul; is Blue’s little animal guardian thing. Whatever the fuck Korra’s polar-bear-dog thing is is what Soul is. Melanistic with little white freckles down his back and pale blue eyes, but still the polar-bear-dog thing.

C; a black cat with a missing eye. Yes, I shit you not. Just a genuine fucking black cat with an attitude problem. Blue saw him and went “he’s mine now.”

- then is my FNAF security breach au. The story for it is a bit all over the place, but Blue is 12, and got lost and the Plex. Everyone else are robos lol

- next one is actually based off of the game Lethal Company. THATS RIGHT, A LETHAL COMPANY AU- but it’s almost nothing like how the game functions. Basically, Blue is a child when he gets trapped on a moon (fuck if I can decide which one-) and it’s basically like- he’s human but, he gets raised by the monsters (some monsters being Soph, Pico, Ne, and Darnell, among the actual game-monsters) so he’s liek- a monster by association.

- a Day of Dragons au. Because yes. I like dragons; and I like the funky beep boop game so, immediately mashing them together once I realized I can create shit from it lmfao

-this one is actually inspired by another take on FNF and Hazbin Hotel. Because I love the show. Alastor is surprisingly goofy. ANYWAYS- the reference it has to the other take on FNF(idk who’s take it is, but I love it plz lemme know who’s au/take it is so I can credit them) is that GF(Soph, in my case), is an Angel, and BF(Blue) is a demon. Pico and the others are thrown around at random depending on how I end up deciding they fit so they’re kinda unknown rn, but those two for sure.

-last au i recently came up with and kinda adore, is an apocalypse au, but instead of zombies, it’s just monsters. Like- each monster is different from another, but they all have a basic element that determines their overall design. Like the basic Fire, water, air, and earth, but it also includes ice, metal, life, necrotic(death), shadow and light. And when a human gets bit by one of these monsters, they too become a monster. I already have a general beginning plot laid out for this it’s kinda sad lmfao

I have a lot of feelings about the rise of he would not fucking say that attitudes in fandom spaces and the paralysing effect it can have on creators. As a writer i think it’s important to just write what feels true to you and not what you think others will “approve” of. Like even as a reader i have enjoyed a variety of different characterisations that all work because the writer makes them work for a particular story. And a fic that’s written out of character to some will be in character to others. Writing fic is not your job you’re not being paid it’s your hobby please. Make them as close to canon as possible. Make them completely different. Who cares! Have fun! Have so much fun! There is an audience for every kind of fic and every kind of character interpretation i promise
