There’s nothing to writing. All you do is sit at a typewriter and open a vein.

I’ve been in a bit of a writing funk lately. I think about what I want to write all the time, but the scenes that are coming to my mind are ones that I feel like I should write and not what I want to write. I’ve tried to get things written, just to get it ‘out of my system’ but what comes next is more filler.

I used to have scenes float in my head and need to be put down on paper but lately all I’m seeing is plot inconsistencies and it’s taken all the joy out of fic.

"One thing I love about prompts is they get me writing for my WIPs! I bring you another scene from DFD, but this is much much later than the current arc. For reasons, Usagi ends up staying at Mamoru's place. Things get hot & steamy, and here's a scene from somewhere in the middle."

Day 5: Free Day

The Tsukino clan are about to hit the slopes as the next part of their winter competition. Usagi is a clear winner and she's excited to beat Shingo on the double black diamond and win points for her team... only Mamoru's never skied before. Shit.

I have been juggled with other pursuits (like other art challenges I'm into, art market applications, and online store preps, more of them in the next posts) lately and hope I can find time to work on the other prompts - even it's late XD. Looking up different shades of blue to describe someone's eyes, I've found that your mileage may vary.... "She looked deeply into his midnight blue eyes" doesn't quite have the same resonance as "She looked deeply into his Star Command blue eyes"
