with this i don’t want to “prove” they’re in love i couldn’t care less about “canon facts” i’m just trying to explain why I, personally, love this couple so damn much so keep that in mind

1: a better alternative

izuku x ochako is a mess. not really the ship or the shippers themselves but the way the pairing it’s written. every time ochako has a moment of almost development we need to be reminded about her crush on izuku and honestly i’m so tired of that shit. it’s just a big obstacle that restrain her from being the amazing character, person and hero she is. she was born and she will die as “the protagonist’s love interest” and it’s so painful to know she will never have a proper development or arc because of that. she is “deku’s chirleader” first and uraraka ochako second. i just want her free from this cage of undeveloped love interest wich brings me to…..

2: so much potential

seriosuly, they could step up eachother development on a whole new level. we already know bakugou respect and see potential in uraraka and that uraraka emphatizes and is not scared of bakugou. what happens when you give just a little nudge to this relationship? that bakugou could help uraraka become more confident in her abilities and overall stronger hero while she could breack through his shell and help him develop that little empathy that stops him from being the number one hero. they literally complement eachother as the ultimate superhero. also have you seen those powers?? you know what happens when you mix zero gravity and explosive reactors??? they could become a fucking projectile flying in the sky and onto the villans heads that’s what happens why isn’t this being explored already???

3: polar oposites

I won’t act like “bad boy + cute girl” dynamic doesn’t play a huge role in this. but come on this would be so damn fun to watch! i couldn’t care less about how two cute and similiar people eventually ended up in a relationship, it’s realistic but that’s not what i’m here for. i’m here to explore these characters and what better way than to make them confront one another and see how they came together despite their differences? who wouldn’t love to see bakugou soften up to uraraka smile? who wouldn’t love to hear uraraka badass comebacks to bakugou filthy mouth? there’s something so beautiful and interesting to see two people so different yet to similiar come to terms with eachother. they could be teasing eachoters in silly or have a tender hearhfelt moment and there’s something awfully realistic and comforting in being able to pull off both.

4: mutual respect and equality

a huge deal to me is how there’s not a subordination status between the two, unlike 80% of fictional pairings. bakugou doesn’t need to fight for uraraka because she’s damn capable of doing it herself but he’s so down to fight with her. uraraka shouldn’t carry the weight of bakugou emotional wellbeing but hey, she’s there and happy to give him a hand if he needs one. i feel like there’s so much respect and mutual admiration between the two. idk i could never imagine a future where bakugou pays the bills and uraraka prepares him dinner and patiently waits for him to come back home (not that there’s nothing wrong with having that kind of lifestyle), but i can only see them fighting back to back and becoming the greatest most badass heros they can be together. and honestly that’s some relationship goals

there are so many resons to why i love them but i think i summed all of them up pretty well with these 4 points. please feel free to discuss some ship stuff with me i’m always down for shiptalking ^^
