if I was with dc Iâd just keep drawing nightwing with subtle demisexual flag backgrounds until someone caught on or dc editorial assassinated me

âBruce is emotionally incompetent and canât step outside his own moralityâ yeah itâs a character flaw.
âDick is extremely stubborn and thinks heâs right all the timeâ yeah itâs a character flaw.
âJason has hypocritical tendenciesâ yeah itâs a character flaw.
â Tim is entitled and doesnât think about people when seeking results, and often acts uncaringâ yeah itâs a character flaw.
âDamian is rude and brattyâ yeah, itâs a character flaw.
Also, some people may not even regard everything listed above as flaws.
Having negative traits allows incredible flexibility within your characters, what makes them intriguing, what makes them easy to relate to. If you want to write people, then write people. But they canât be good and clean all the time.

Im really curious how people know about Esperanto. Since its a relatively recent language (from the 1880s), its obviously not going to be as widely spoken in the world as other languages (altho apparently it is the most widely spoken constructed language). I assume most people are introduced to it later in some way?
If u know what Esperanto is, feel free 2 reblog this and say how you learned about it in the tags.

blog too stressful as of late so fun question time: what fictional characters have made you go "they are canonically transmasc even if its not canon. i know because they told me personally. the writers dont know them like i do"

The other reason I think Red Robin 12 is a moment of trust between Tim and Dick is that Dick catches Tim.
Dick has a lot of issues with the concept of catching or failing to catch someone who is falling. Itâs haunted his dreams.
(Nightwing #4)
Itâs not so much the fall itself - Dick is fine with heights and with throwing himself off high places.
(Gotham Nights #10, Nightwing #140)
Itâs about the fact he doesnât make the catch.
One of my favourite bits of the Freefall storyline is Dick catching the Mother of Championsâ baby. Because it ties back to this fear of not getting there in time.
(Nightwing #6, Nightwing #146)
Nightwing catches the baby and is able to hand him to his mother. Wu Mei-Xin has never held any of her children before, itâs a lovely moment. It really caps off the growth Dick goes through over his solo.
(Nightwing #146)
And similarly, Dick being there to catch Tim is important imagery in their relationship.
Dick catches Tim when theyâre playing around, train surfing:
(Nightwing #25)
Dick âcatchesâ Tim when heâs depressed. âYouâre not catching me at a bad timeâ.
(Robin #156)
Dick is there to catch Tim as he falls apart after pouring out the water from the Lazarus pit.
(Nightwing #139)
And Dick is there to catch Tim as he falls from a building.
(Red Robin #12)
Dickâs grasp has never missed, when itâs Tim. Itâs IMPORTANT to Dick that he make the catch for anyone, when theyâre falling in front of him, but itâs especially important to him when itâs a child (and when itâs his baby brother).
Tim can honestly say to Dick âyouâll always be there for meâ because a little part of him, deep inside, trusts that no matter what, no matter how impossible it might seem, Dick will be there to catch him.

anyways i have an extensive headcanon that damian doesnât prescribe to any particular religion up until he starts doing family history research for a school project and he learns that his paternal grandmother was jewish. so he goes to tim for more info because bruce unintentionally acts like a kicked dog whenever someone brings up his parents, and damian knows that tim is jewish, and thatâs when they first actually start bonding

i think tim should be a wedding planner in his civilian life tbh. can be high stress, get the adrenaline moving, involves extensive planning & research skills & networking, low stakes in the âworld ending catastropheâ category (hopefully) & he has no real reason to be stressed beyond Getting It Right which seems a lot less stressful than âif i mess this up a person diesâ.
