I love how Red is always putting cliches in the story but still she manages to add her own touch or at least the outcomes arent still that common in other fictions

"the protagonist got hurt? oh no, now she will be useless for a whole episode" NOT IF SHE CAN USE LANTERNS

"she likes ballet so she's probably very sensitive and delicated" WAS THAT A KICK ON THAT MAN'S FACE??

"how cute the extroverted character decided to adopt her they'll turn into good friends really fast, dont they?" Oh... she... she run away from him

"this character has angry issues, that means he will get easily pissed of and attack his own friends and be dangerous" No no, when he's starting to feel angry he just leaves the place or turn his phones on and he's actually really really sweet

"the extroverted character is a little weird, he will be a psychopath and give her problems, right?" nono, he's just bad at interactions but is actually really nice

"so Tyler is the rude type of character, that means he will be reason on why someone will die bcuz this type of character often hates the others so-" HE SAW THEM AS FAMILY 😭

They had a really interesting idea = if Ashlyn has a super hearing (that i'm pretty sure it's from the monster scream his arse of minutes after her birth, poor baby) it would be soo cool if the other had their super senses too.

edotfightme thinks that Aiden would have super smell, and hosently? that makes sense, he would definilety be the type to sniff people lmao

Logan would have, ironically, super vision, this guy needs glasses the same way Ash needs earbuds, it causes him headaches.

Ben would have touch sensitivity, like he could feel vibration, things like that, an super cool thing.

And the twins would both have that 6th sense, the spidey sence, they would be able to just, know things, like, something is about to explode, this guy is sketchy, ya know? it would just make sense

i feel like either logan or aiden would drop the most random facts mid-conversation. and i mean like disturbing facts. aiden probably would do it on purpose to mess with the gang, but for logan it would be facts about nature (mostly plants) and he wouldn't even mean for it to be disturbing. with aiden theyre all used to his shenanigans but when logan starts saying creepy facts about plants theyre all a little alarmed at first.

logan: did you know that theres a plant that if you barely even touch it you can experience excruciating pain that can remain for a year or longer?

the gang: .....

Aiden, it's your time to be my victim!!

I already talked a little about him on one of my first posts, but never really explained my thoughts so here it is.

Aiden Clark is NOT a psychopath. Psychopathy is a social disorder characterized by the LACK of empathy, remorse and guilty. What is three things we already saw Aiden using multiple times with Ashlyn! (And also Ben).

Aiden never had friends before, and differently from Ashlyn, his parents probably werent home to teach him about basic manners like Mike and Emma were for Ashlyn. He doesnt know how to act and thats something he himself said:

As he said, he didn't cared about the people he met before and they didn't cared about him either because he was just passing by. And what usually happens when you interact with people you're not going to see for a long time is fake your personality, because if you're not going to be around there's no need to be vulnerable around them, but, if you're trying to not get into problems you HAVE to at least act like a social person (shy and introverted people will understand that better than anyone), and that's something he probably learned by himself, cuz, words of his own parents "Aiden used to be such a quiet kid".

What I'm trying to say is that this is his first time being himself around others and knowing about them without having to fake his extroverted personality that is already engraved in his brain. It doesn't mean that he's acting, but he doesnt know how to stop doing that after all these years, and who hates fake people? ASHLYN!

And by being so socially inept it's obvious that his ways to get close to people are weird and "invasion of privacy", it's his first time doing that and he has no good example cuz his only friend is his own family and was bullied for years and now is homeschooled with him (Ben) there's not much he can do except do the mistakes and deal with its consequencies to learn. And he felt guilty and apologized for it.

And no, he's not obsessive. Everyone had that one friend they wanted to be around everytime, and that they did plans for it to happen. With you could be you going to your school bathroom at the same time this person got their recess. But for him was convincing Ashlyn's parents to get her out of her house. And remember, at that time he thought she was just shy and not really introverted. Was he right for doing that? NO. But he wasnt a psychopath either, just dumb from not getting her hints. After Ashlyn stated everything in a way he could understand he apologized for it (the convo at the stairs) and said that he didn't knew what she meant with that but would try his best. And know what? He did try his best!

The only thing he has is the fact that he's impulsive and an adrenaline seeker, but that's not enough to see him as a psychopath. He thinks about the consequences of his acts, he just doesnt think this would affect the OTHERS. And again, that's something a person with psychopathy wouldn't think of.

And that this behavior of him is his way to deal with his problems. Technically his (not healthy) coping mechanism.

Now, three scenes at the earlier episodes where Aiden had empathy:

When Ashlyn said for everyone except BEN to run away while she and BEN would stay behind to close the door that was stopping one of the phantoms from getting to them. But Aiden out of his own will stayed with them to help without being asked to.

When Ashlyn felt pain and he realized it and thought about ways to help her. He was paying attention to her BECAUSE she was hurt.

When Ashlyn got dragged by that phantom at the roof and got almost killed and he felt genuinely sorry and guilty about that because his impulsive actions prevented him from being useful to help

We also need to remember that most of the scenes on the webtoon are from Ashlyn's point of view and at the start SHE thought he was weird, that's why even his smile was unsettling, but as the time passed this changed cuz she got used to his personality.

And after everything, if you think Ben would be so close to him if he was really a bad person, you probably didnt read the webtoon.

And of course we could talk about the fact that "psychopathy" it's not even used anymore but i'm not a specialist and almost everyone knows it. Right?

if there's one thing you should know about me anon, it's that i have an affinity for older sibling characters-- especially if they're the type who are so dedicated to their role as the oldest sibling.

maybe it's me projecting, but i just love seeing that level of protectiveness and dedication! that's pretty much what drew me in to tyler as a character! plus i like his snarky nature and how he seems to always prioritize taylor's safety instead of his own.

he's always been my fav apart from ashlyn, and when we finally got to his and taylor's past, it just made me love his character even more lol

some of my hcs of him are:

he listens to a lot of bands

cooking for others is his love language but the kitchen is his kingdom to rule and reign over, and only those who he has bestowed his honor have the privledge of using the stove

his bag is full of things other people might need: hair ties, band aids, vitamins and medicine too

he is an early riser

he takes table manners very seriously and would be the type to scold others for their atrocious manners

aside from crossing his arms a lot, he will also put them in his pockets

probably the first one to get a license in his friend group

he used to have the same music taste as his dad

anger issues + fear of failure

over protective of his family and friends (do not cross him)

likes his food spicy

anyway that's pretty much all i can think of at the top of my head, but i'm sure i have more lol
