It reminds me of the question from Season 1 when they are waiting for the bus...the one where Crowley asks Aziraphale if the almighty planned this all along...

Do you think Crowley believes in coincidences? In fate? That out of every angel and every demon they were the ones sent to the Garden. They were important together. The angel that looked into his yellow eyes and still laughed with him, the same as he did before. The angel that is still protecting him.

Do you think that Crowley remembers this everytime the raindrops hit his skin? That when it rains he wonders around their spots hoping to run into Aziraphale? That he lurks near awnings so they can duck under one together, breathless and staring into each other eyes. A moment to finally put everything out in the open.

They were made for each other indeed.

How many times has Aziraphale wanted to take Crowley’s hand after a misunderstanding? To pull him close and gaze lovingly into his eyes instead of his cheek? Music playing in the background but their focus fully on each other? A quiet moment just so full of their deep love for each other? The love they made for themselves despite everything.

Does his hand itch with the memory of every accidental brush of skin at the sound of music? When they put together that they misunderstood each other, do you think his heart leaps in hope that maybe this is finally it? Until he remembers. How much do you think he longs for them to finally put everything out in the open, for them to be safe enough to do so.

i actually feel like the bamfiest aziraphale moment that isn't getting enough love is the "you came to me. i said i would protect you. and i will." like hoooly shit. it's brave in a quiet way, in a kind way. and the way it's delivered too, it really feels like for a brief moment i got to see all the way through his soul to its shining core. anyone gif that bit?
