“When the party’s over”
An: Inspired by this song by billie eilish ofc, I saw someone doing an amazing cover of it on insta and my fingers started itching to write. Enjoy :) (Cause I know i didn’t enjoy thinking about it💀)
warnings: Angst, Implied character death (YOU!) short drabble.
“Quiet when I’m coming home, and I’m on my own. I could lie say I like it like that, Like it like that”
He tried to think nothing of it, forcing his mind to deteriorate towards more important things. The reasoning? He knew better than to let someone in of course, to let them get uncomfortably close, so much that he begun being unable to imagine his days without you.
You were more like a pest even. That annoying laugh of yours he’d listen to as if it were the only sound in the world, the irritable cheeky smile you showed whenever he melted into your arms after a long day. Your stupid, stupid voice which could drone on for hours if he’d allow, and he always did without fail. The way your dreadful fingers would gently brush throughout his hair, causing him to relax and feel like you were the only two living beings left on earth.
Sickening. All of it.
He shuddered, not knowing if the cause was the empty, lifeless home, or the memories that flooded through his head. It left him blind, staring at nothing but the dark with lights that had yet to be turned on.
You were annoying, he never wanted you around in the first place. So why is it then, that he felt so frustrated, so utterly helpless. He didn’t know where to put his hands, no familiar warmth to intertwine his fingers in, no arms to lay comfortably wrapped around his torso. What has he to do with himself? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
He could pile himself with work as much as he wanted, fill his days with endless activities to stray far from falling into the depths of his mind, but here, in this eerily quiet home, he still, had nothing.
Before he knew it, he crumbled. Globs of ugly tears falling down his face without the slightest chance of stopping. There was no energy to curse, or pace around a million times and then some. It was just him. And god he hated it. All of it.
Except for you. Now he’s cursed, with remembering you for longer than he’s ever known you.
“Let’s just let it go…let me let you…go.”

The little things
Tumblr media
a/n: So i recently found out Kazuha has a GAP in his teeth like bro this is a whole breakthrough and im bout to run with this shit. Also I reccomend listening to “Wanna Quit all the Time” by faye webster while reading this, trust it’s great.
kazuha x gn reader
warnings: Guns, violence, MURDER (im joking) established relationship, use of petnames (honey), short one shot
If Kazuha had known you were ever the perceptive one, he would’ve done more to hide that insecurity of his. You’ve seen it all, the way he covers his mouth when he smiles, when he laughs. The way he often faces away when talking to you, or tries not to open his mouth too wide. You had your suspicions on why he carried these habits, but never would you have guessed it was because of something so trivial.
Many days were spent pondering about how you should bring it up, you wanted to know. Then again, what if he didn’t want you to know? The thought of him not being comfortable to share things with you caused your stomach to twist uncomfortably.
“Want to hear a tune?” He asked, a closed-mouth smile following after. The leaf was already prepared in his hand because he knew your answer, yet you still agreed anyway.
“Of course.” You watched carefully, eyes focused on his mouth. Was it his lips? No- you’ve kissed them more times than you could count on fingers and toes, they’re perfect. The answer struck you like lightning, and your body moved before neither you or him could realize.
“Hey-“ His eyes opened in surprise upon feeling the grip on his chin, now face to face with you who had leaned in impossibly close. On instinct, his hand swiftly moved to cover his mouth, but you were faster, grabbing a gentle hold of his wrist before he could hide again.
That’s when you saw it. The prettiest gap between the front of his teeth. How hadn’t you noticed this before? It was literally right there. “(Name)..” He muttered, embarrassment evident on his face.
“Kazuha..honey- why would you hide this from me?” The tone in which you spoke came out more sad than you intended, and he closed his mouth for a moment before releasing a small sigh.
“Well, I planned on telling you, I did. I just couldn’t bring myself to. It’s rather ugly.”
“Oh bullshit.” You went to place a kiss beside his mouth. “It’s beautiful.” Another to the other side. “Don’t you ever think otherwise.” Then right on his lips that spilled a quiet chuckle. “I love it. Something that makes you, you.”
“Right.” The embarrassment etched into his expression slowly dissipated, and now endearment remained.
“No more secrets?” You asked, voice no louder than whispers of wind that passed by.
“No more secrets.” He nodded, and this time Kazuha smiled. A big, stupid grin without his hand concealing the feature you so easily fell in love with.
“How about that tune now?”

Our differences
my first post, have mercy please ahhahhahaha
Kazuha x gn! reader but there’s a language barrier.
warnings: I used google translate (only once because it felt stupid to put in english)cause im a lazy bum so if you’re fluent in Japanese please look the other way i BEG
You never would’ve expected a situation quite like this one. The one day you decided to catch a break from grueling work, stroll through the ever beautiful inazuman forests, you end up caught in the middle of an incorrectly arranged ambush. With reason, you tried explaining to the rogue shinobi that they had the wrong person, but instead they shouted things in the language you hadn’t mastered yet.
Fortunately, right as you were about to put your vision to use for once, your knight in shining amour came and swooped them away. Literally. His use of anemo wasn’t like any you’ve ever seen. He jumped up high with grace and elegance, reeling the enemies in before plunging down on them with intuitive precision. Not enough to kill, but enough to serve as a singular warning. They left scampering away, seemingly smaller and less intimidating in the presence of power that easily surpasses theirs.
He turned to you when his eyes stopped lingering on the enemies that were too far now to see. He smiled, wind gently rousing through white hair as he held his hand out to you.
“怪我をしていますか?” Your head tilted before you could stop yourself, and he quickly noted your confusion. Perhaps you should’ve studied the language of Inazumans a bit more before arriving here. It wasn’t your fault really, you only planned on staying for a day or two.
“A..Are you hurt?” He was unsure of his words, afraid his thick accent would make them unintelligible. Now you felt like the inconsiderate one. Anyone could tell he didn’t really speak english, but that didn’t stray him away from trying. And for what? An undeserving stranger? You rid those thoughts from your mind and shook your head, giving a little smile in return.
“No no, Im okay. Thank you, seriously. I’d never suspect there would be trouble in forests this beautiful.” He nodded his head, and you had the suspicion he understood more than he initially let on. Most likely, he’s fluent in understanding, not speaking. Intelligent is what he was.
“Kazuha.” He said, pointing to his chest. Then, his finger turned, pointing towards you as if awaiting an answer. You stated your name, and he repeated it a little butchered, but who are you to judge any screw ups.
“Going home?” Kazuha gestured towards the sky that had turned considerably dark. You got the hint, it’s no longer safe to wander alone.
“Yeah actually- I mean, I’m only here for the next two days but I have a room at the local inn.” You hummed, realizing you accidentally trailed rather far from the main city. The consumption of deep and intricate thoughts when alone made it difficult to ascertain this sooner.
Before you could dwell too long in your mind, Kazuha was beckoning you along, leading you back to the city. He left little room for any dispute, danger lurked and that fact was enough to get you to follow along. You didn’t feel the need to be on guard towards Kazuha, his mellow aura assured you of that, but it did beg the question; Could you truly trust him? Perhaps this was all an act so he could cross you later when you’re vulnerable. Maybe you should be on guard, or better yet, not follow strangers to-
Kazuha spoke up, yet again reeling you away from futile contemplation. Only, he started speaking in a way that sounded strategically formatted. You had no clue what it meant, but the ethereal attribute in which he said it had you unknowingly mesmerized.
Kazuha possesses an awfully soft voice, one you couldn’t imagine to be loud or violent. From the get-go, you could tell he was more laid back than most, more attuned to nature even. With the way his eyes gazed at the sky which stars were adorned, and how he appeared to be listening to everything and anything all at once. You admired it, wanted to be and feel it. So utterly carefree and relaxed.
Even so, you knew better. Everyone has their own issues, ones they prefer to keep inside. Ones that they’d rather die than reveal and possibly risk their tranquility for vulnerability.
“Was that a poem? The structure..sounded familiar. Though I only understood a few words.” You were relived at the delighted nod he gave and your next question tumbled out before you could stop it. “Can I hear more?”
‘A day or two’. The biggest lie you’ve ever told yourself. When the time arrived for your return home, you felt more reluctant to go than you thought you would. Was it the sights? The food or atmosphere? No, not in the slightest. It’s the webs of that which is Kazuha, who had you wholly trapped.
You weren’t to blame, not when he came to visit you the day after he escorted you home. Not when he took it upon himself to translate his poems on paper, just so you could read and truly understand them. Not when he sat and taught you how to play blissful tunes with a mere leaf that happened to fluttered by.
No, you were simply captivated, and had become a victim to his kind nature. You wanted to know more. He’d listen to you ramble on about your life, mindlessly humming and nodding along while you internally questioned if he really knew what you were saying. Indeed he did, and he made sure you were reassured each time with a simple shake of his head to the most random questions you threw at him.
When you brought up how you wished he could tell you things like you do him, Kazuha took it upon himself to do exactly as you asked. So as the days ached on, he was now at the point where he could have full blown conversations with you.
What were you to do? Kazuha and you both know your field of work has been patiently awaiting your return.
Would it be so bad to drop everything and stay right here? Just like this?
“You look troubled. Thinking about something?” Kazuha piped up, eyes not once leaving the dewy morning sky you both gazed at.
“You’re not even looking at me, how do I look troubled?” You dodged the question with a small chuckle, not daring to face the stare you now felt on the side of your head.
“I am now.” He retorted, wringing a quiet fit of snickers from your end.
No, Surely not.
