Jane Austen’s sexuality has been under debate for many years. Many of her works suggest that she had, had previous relationships though none with a man were ever recorded. Many argue that Jane had slept with one of her female ‘friends’ that she often shared abed with. This look on Austen’s life has been featured in shows like Doctor Who, with her and Clara having an implied romantic relationship.
