one time when i was like 12 someone on deviantart accused me of stealing art because my style was so inconsistent. i took it so personally back then but like my art still is and idec anymore. ig the point is dont take art so seriously. you dont need to find one specific style and stick with it unless thats what you like to do. but also like? who cares, draw what you want. go hyper realistic one day then draw jthm sharp the next or anime or cartoon or abstract like whatever man its just fucking cool to create shit from nothing. do what you want, life is too short to put yourself into a box to appeal to the masses. appeal to yourself. thats what matters. i like that my style changes sometimes. if thats not what youre looking for find someone who likes being consistent.

i stopped posting art for a long time because i found it so stifling to try to draw the same style over and over again. because i was worried that people would think i steal art or that if my work wasnt the same across the board that it wouldnt differentiate me enough from other creators and i wouldnt get any attention for my art. i was making it for all the wrong reasons and i lost the passion. now im searching to get it back and im learning that it needs to be for me. periot. if i dont like what im drawing then whats the point? so i make stuff i like to see. that brings me joy. and i share it and hope those that see it find as much joy in it as i do. but if they dont? who cares. im fullfilled in creating anyways
