This is the sort of Wrecker content I need in my life
“Do not go far from me.”/”I won’t.” With a protective/ jealous Wrecker ❤️
Aw, my dear Wrecker! 😊 Hope this is to your liking, anon!
"A Change in Price"
1. “Do not go far from me.”/”I won’t.”
Pairing: Wrecker x fem reader
***
It was just another mission to get more intel for Cid, but somehow, you and the Bad Batch always managed to deal with the shadiest of people. Cid certainly kept questionable company, but that wasn't surprising.
You, Wrecker and Hunter were walking into a seedy bar on another planet to meet with a client while Tech, Echo and Omega were stationed outside in case things went south. You didn't like the unsavory way a lot of the men in the bar were staring at you...and neither did Wrecker.
Seeing how uncomfortable you looked, his arm came protectively around your shoulders and he pulled you closer to him. "I've got you, don't worry," he reassured you. .
You inched a little closer to him and pleaded quietly, "Do not go far from me."
With a comforting squeeze, he promised you, "I won't."
Normally, you did okay on missions on your own, but something about this place gave you a really bad feeling.
Finally, you guys found the client: a Zabrak male who was sitting at a booth cleaning his blaster.
"We're here for Cid's intel," Hunter said straightforwardly to the Zabrak. Then he signaled with his head to Wrecker to give the client the money he was owed.
Wrecker lifted the case he had in his other hand, removed his arm from your shoulders and opened it up, revealing the vast amount of credits inside. Then he set the case on the table and slid it towards the client.
The Zabrak eyed the case for a moment before taking a data disc. However, instead of handing it to Hunter, he held it back and stated, "Actually...there's been a change in the price for this information."
"What?" Hunter asked, taken aback.
The man leaned forward, a malicious grin on his face...as he turned his sights on you. "I want the money...and the girl."
Wrecker's arm immediately shot out and moved you behind him as he glared threateningly at the client.
"She's not part of the deal," said Hunter, his own tone growing darker.
"That's my price," said the Zabrak. "No girl, then no intel. Take it or leave it."
Hunter tried working a way around this deal in his head. They needed this intel for Cid or else she wouldn't give them the money they needed for more supplies, which they were dangerously low on, but there was no way he was giving you to this man. He would never do that in a million years. But what could they do? If they started a fight, then the whole bar would get involved and he wanted to be as discreet about this as possible. They could pretend to give you away, but that could potentially break your trust in them and he wouldn't do that to you either. Maybe they could--
"You can take your deal and shove it where the sun don't shine."
Both you and Hunter heard Wrecker's declaration and, to both your shock and Hunter's, Wrecker had taken one step forward and thrown a hard punch in the Zabrak's face before the guy could even react. The client slumped over on the table, unconscious.
You quickly jumped forward and pulled the data disc out of the Zabrak's hand while Hunter just looked to Wrecker, his disbelief apparent even with his helmet on.
"What? He deserved it," Wrecker justified. "No one threatens our girl like that."
Hunter just shook his head and, since the guy was out cold, decided he didn't really need the money, so the Sergeant picked the case back up and told you and Wrecker that it was time to go.
Before you went after Hunter, you took Wrecker's hand and told him, "Thank you for that, Wrecker."
He smiled. "How was I supposed to keep my promise to not go far from you if you get taken away?" he asked. Then he leaned down and kissed your forehead. "No one's ever gonna take you away from me. I've always got you."
In that moment, you'd never felt safer or more loved.

(Bad Batch) Wrecker x Reader: The Gift
Word Count: 1,178
Warnings: Fluff, pining
Author's note: This one goes out to the Wrecker girlies!!! And anyone else who could use some Wrecker content.
You clutched the folded-up cloth tighter in your hand, waiting at the bottom of the steps for a certain Bad Batcher to come walking by after dinner.  As you waited, you were granted the soothing pleasure of watching the sky turn all sorts of vibrant shades as the sun began to dip below the horizon.  The air was still warm: the evening chill hadn’t begun to set yet. You leaned over the stone wall to peer down at how the ocean shone with reflections of the sky.
With the return of Crosshair, and the whole squad safe and sound- not to mention happy- Pabu was starting to feel like home to you.  The peaceful days that passed were precious to you. You treasured each moment you spent with the squad, and it shed a new light on a particular someone.
Afternoons were spent sitting side-by-side on the docks with him, fishing in the sun. You both helped out with different projects around the community, and when you did take breaks, you took them together.  Sometimes the two of you would dig into a picnic basket that you’d packed for lunch, or take a dip in the crystal waters, or just sit in the sand talking and joking around.
You found yourself hardly anywhere but at his side, and him at yours.  It felt like the most natural thing in the world.  Wrecker always had a warmth about him that you liked.  You always thought he was handsome, and you couldn’t deny that you felt your face heat up and heart pound anytime he was near… But there was hardly time to explore that.  The squad had been on the run for so long, and you were always worried about the dynamic that these feelings would bring to the team.
This time on Pabu gave you the chance to simply be with him.  To exist together. To find out more about not only him, but yourself.  It was all new to you.  Life was simple there, happy, and for a short while you could forget about the insanity that had taken over the rest of the Galaxy.  You could forget about the danger that the squad was truly in.
The familiar gaits of your squad were coming down the steps.  You turned around, keeping the folded item behind your back.  Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker and Omega were making their descent, all with smiles on their faces after a filling dinner.  Hunter paused in front of you first, giving you a curious look.
“You good?” he asked.  To be fair, you had left dinner early.  You’d mustered up the courage to grab the gift from your quarters and wait for the opportunity to give it to its intended recipient.
“Yeah, thank you.”
Crosshair chewed on a toothpick, passing by you with a simple nod in your direction.  It was brief but sincere. Omega was at his heels with Wrecker beside her, and the two of them beamed when they saw you.
“Hey, ______,” she greeted.
“Hey!  Missed you at dinner!” Wrecker said.  He gave you a nudge.  “Everything okay?”
“Yeah…Actually, could I have a moment with you?”
“You can have as many as you’d like!” he chuckled.  Omega already knew about the gift, since you’d given her one not too long ago.  She gave you a knowing look, waving at you both kindly, as she continued on her way to catch up with Hunter and Crosshair.
“What’s up?” Wrecker asked
You hesitated, suddenly feeling shy as you had his full attention.  “I got you something. I don’t know, it might be a little silly…but, here.”  You held out the item, embarrassment and excitement wrestling inside you.  Wrecker unfolded and held it up to get a better look.
“Aww, it’s Lula!” he exclaimed, turning the shirt around.  “How-?  Where’d you get this?”
“There’s a shop on the lower levels that prints designs on T-shirts,” you explained happily.  “Omega and I drew one up for you.  She had one made that was similar.”
Wrecker grinned at you.  “It’s the best shirt ever!”  He moved forward to wrap his arms around you, giving you a tight squeeze that made you laugh.  “Thank you!”  You wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him back, so relieved that he liked the present.  It felt like he might never let you go, but then the embrace did come to an end.  You felt his cheek brush against yours briefly as he carefully put you back down.  “So, uh, what’s the occasion?”
He looked a little nervous, like perhaps he had forgotten an important day.
“It’s just because,” you said.  “I appreciate your friendship.  You’re so fun, and thoughtful, and I really like our talks.”
His eyes softened as he listened to your words, regarding you with a tenderness that you saw in him often.  Wrecker gave a quiet chuckle.  “I like spending time with you too,” he said.  It appeared as if he wanted to say more, but no words came.  He simply gazed back at you in this way, and you found yourself unsure of what to say next.
“Uh, anyway…” You ran a hand over the stone railing beside you idly.  “I have some errands to run before dark.  I’ll see you around.”
“Need any help?”
You shook your head, smiling in appreciation of his offer.  “It’s alright, nothing major.  Thank you though, Wreck.”
“Sure, sure.” He rubbed the back of his neck and watched you take the next stairway towards the market.
Wrecker looked back down at the shirt after you left, running his thumbs over the soft material.  He couldn’t wait to wear it the next time the two of you hung out.  He headed back to where his squad had gone, finding just Hunter and Crosshair seated in a common area with a bonfire going.  Omega appeared to have already gone to bed for the night.
Crosshair was the first to notice what was in Wrecker’s hand.  “What’s that? A gift?” There was no mistaking the subtle teasing in his tone.
“Uh, yeah.”  Wrecker took a seat.  “She got one for Omega too.”
“That doesn’t negate the fact,” Hunter said with the hint of a smile.
Wrecker looked at him.  “What fact?”
“The fact that the girl is crazy for you,” Crosshair replied with the roll of his eyes, irritated that his brother was obviously feigning obliviousness.  He wasn’t about to let his sibling off that easily.  “And you are for her.  So, what’s the hold up?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Wrecker grumbled, folding his arms in a stubborn sort of gesture.  “There’s no hold up.”
Hunter and Crosshair exchanged looks, both raising a brow, but said no more on the matter.  Wrecker leaned back to watch the bonfire while these things went through his mind.
Of course he felt that way about you.  Of course he’d wanted to bring it up for ages, but it never seemed to be quite the right time, so he just carried on as usual.
Maybe it was time to change that.

How sweet! Love the beach vibes, and Mayday is a darling ❤
This makes me want to collect seashells!
The Medics assistant
Mayday x fem reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: none other than a reference of reader having anxiety.
The afternoon skies were cloudy on Pabu, yet everyone was in good spirits.
You were tending to your favorite patient, an elderly Nautolan woman named Meena.
As you made small talk with her you noticed an item you needed on the top shelf.
How’d that get there?
Then you remembered your unofficial assistant, Mayday.
Mayday helped you take care of a few of your patients, he was a quick learner, and you were grateful for the help.
When you tried to reach for the item and couldn’t quite reach it, Mayday suddenly appeared beside you.
“I’ve got it” Mayday said. You smiled brightly “Thanks, Love” You said and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. Mayday gave you an adoring smile and kissed your forehead.
Mayday spoke with Meena for a moment. You watched him with heart eyes.
He left to meet up with Crosshair at the beach.
Meena gave you a bright grin and said, “That’s a real handsome fella you’ve got.”
“I know, He’s the best thing that’s happened to me.” You agreed.
Only a few people knew of your battle with anxiety, but those who did were pleased to see the change after Mayday came along.
You left the clinic after helping Meena and you went looking for Mayday.
You found him by the shoreline sitting and talking with Crosshair.
Those two were close, Crosshair was a quiet man who didn’t open up to many people, but he always made time to talk to Mayday. Early on in your relationship Mayday had told you of what he and Crosshair had been through on Barton four, and how they’d barely survived. You were grateful everyday that they did.
You walked up behind Mayday and wrapped your arms around his shoulders. “Hi, boys” You greeted. “Hey, beautiful girl” Mayday grinned back at you. “Hi” Crosshair greeted you. “How are you today, Crosshair?” You asked him. “Fine” He replied, then added “I don’t need  to ask how you are, you two are disgustingly happy” You laughed at Crosshair’s teasing, all too happy to be accepted by him.
Before the sun began to set you left Mayday and Crosshair to look for seashells. Mayday watched you as you sorted through the sand, trying to find just the right seashells for the necklace you were making. He always admired your creative eye. He placed his hand on the necklace you’d given him. It was before you began dating that you gifted him the necklace, he’d been so touched by it that he wanted to cry, that was one of the first moments Mayday knew that his feelings for you went beyond that of friendship.
Collecting seashells was an enjoyable way for you to relax after work. There was something about the sound of the waves rolling in, and the gentle breeze softly blowing through your hair. Mayday joined you. Several tiny teal shells were part of your current collection but something was missing you just didn’t know what, at least until Mayday walked up beside you with an excited smile and he showed you some beautiful magenta colored seashells he found. “Oh, Mayday. These are perfect!” You cheered. “I can’t wait to see what you make with these” Mayday said. “Well, you’ll be the first to see, as always” You smiled and gave him a kiss on the lips.

Rampart: Are you going to tell me to stay away from your girl? Crosshair: If I had to do that, she wouldn't be my girl. Rampart: Well, then I guess you've got nothing to worry about, do you, Crosshair? Crosshair: It must burn you up that a clone like me saved you from prison, huh? Gotta' be careful. I might not be there next time. Oh, and Rampart - stay away from my girl.

This is so sweet 😍😭❤ I can just feel Echo's devotion. He's head over heels big time!
Also DOMINO. I literally gasped aloud 😭😭😭😭. And the mention of Fives, ohh. This got me in the feels, well done!!!
Echo and the Tooka
Tumblr media
This is for @rinwritesfics for the Bad Batch x reader exchange @cloneficgiftexchange
Prompt: "How was I supposed to know"
Authors note: Hi! I hope you like this! I've always wanted to write for Echo and give him a Tooka so I hope you like that idea too :)
Clone Force ninety-nine was happily settled on Pabu. Crosshair was back with them, as well as Echo, and the rest of the Clone Rebellion. You loved Pabu, it was a beautiful, peaceful place and most importantly the Clones were safe. One Clone especially meant a great deal to you, Echo.
You had been crushing on him for ages, and although you believed he returned your feelings, neither of you had been brave enough to admit your feelings. When Echo’s head piece had been acting up you were worried for him. But Phee had a contact on the planet Chalza, that could help Echo. Echo figured it was worth a shot since the Empire didn’t have a presence there. Rex and Tech offered to go with Echo, and you asked to go too. Echo was happy you would be going with him.
Upon arriving on Chalza you found out it was raining. You put your poncho on. “Cute” Echo accidently said out loud. “Thanks” You giggled and did a little twirl. Echo gave you heart eyes. “Shouldn’t you wear one too?” You asked concerned. Echo thought he would melt from how sweet you were. He put his poncho on and you thought he looked cute too, but were too shy to say anything.
The rain was pouring, and the wind blew hard. You struggled to see anything. Echo noticed you stray a little, and he held out his hand for you. “Here, take my hand. I’ll guide you” He offered. You took his hand, a warm feeling spreading through you at the contact. Echo kept you close to him. You felt safe with him by your side.
After reaching the contacts workshop Echo still held your hand. Rex and Tech spoke with the contact. As they discussed what needed to be done, you felt Echo squeeze your hand a little harder. He’s nervous You leaned in and whispered, “I’m right here, Echo” He looked over at you with a soft smile “Thanks” Echo whispered back. You nodded to him.
It seemed to take forever for the Contact to get things ready and work on Echo’s head piece. Rex thought you should step away for a minute, but Echo wanted you to stay. It was a difficult few minutes as you waited. You tried to be brave for Echo and not show how concerned you were. Once the man finished working on Echo’s head piece, everyone went to the local cantina for dinner.
After dinner you and the boys went to the market place to pick up supplies, you split into groups, Tech and Rex going one way, you and Echo going the other. While you walked through the market you noticed a vendor selling toys. You looked over at Echo with a grin. “You’re spoiling Omega” Echo told you, but his smile gave him away. “I spoil all of you” You teased, and winked at him, before walking up to the stall. Echo’s heart skipped a beat as he watched you. While Echo was lost in his thoughts a Tooka ran out from the alley, calling to Echo as he approached him. The constant meowing caught Echo’s attention and he looked down at the little creature with an amused smile. “Well, Hello there, little fella.” Echo said and reached down to pet the Tooka. It snuggled up to him. “You sure are a friendly little thing, aren’t you?!” He cooed. The black Tooka meowed and looked up at him with bright eyes. “Oh, my stars! How cute!” You gasped as you walked up by Echo. He chuckled. “He just ran up to me” Echo said. “He chose you” you said with a teasing smile. “Don’t start” Echo warned, but still smiled. The Tooka continued to cuddle up to Echo. “Alright little fella, we got to go” Echo said. He stood up to leave and as the two of you began to walk away the Tooka followed you. Echo sighed and you giggled. “Stay here” Echo said, pointing at the Tooka. It seemed like he understood as he sat there. Echo was pleased and turned to walk away. You did too, but you knew the precious little creature might follow anyway. Tech sent a message on comms for you and Echo to return to the Marauder immediately. You and Echo made it back to the Marauder and left the planet.
Once in hyperspace you all sat in the cockpit. While you were talking all of the sudden you heard a meow. “Oh, my stars! Echo it’s your little buddy” You said, cooing to the Tooka. “Echo, why did you bring a Tooka on board?!” Tech complained. “I didn’t! How was I supposed to know he’d follow me?!” Echo argued. “Oh, stop fussing!” You chided them and picked up the Tooka. “This little guy isn’t going to be a problem” You stated. Echo’s heart fluttered at the sight of you holding the Tooka. It called to Echo and you handed and you handed him over to Echo. He cuddled up to Echo. “He sure does like you” Rex commented. “He needs a name” You stated. The group thought for a moment. Tech spoke up “How about Shadow? He is always following you”. Echo shrugged. You thought over some more names and one came to you that you weren’t sure about sharing. “How about…Domino?” You suggested. A little bit of surprise washed over Echo’s face but then a soft look took over his eyes. “That’s perfect” Echo said. You and Echo shared a smile. “It’s a good name” Tech agreed. Rex gave you a small smile. “Welcome to the squad, Domino” Echo said with a smile as he scratched behind Dominoes ears.
Domino followed Echo as he walked through the marketplace on Pabu. “Good morning, Echo” You greeted with a smile. “Good morning” He returned with a smile of his own. Domino meowed at you. “Why hello, Domino” You said and knelt down to pet him. “How’s Domino adjusting to Pabu?” You asked Echo. “Really well, he’s taken quite a liking to the Moon-yos. He loves chasing them and playing with them.” Echo replied. “I’m so glad to hear that.” You said, petting Domino one more time before standing up. “I meant to thank you” Echo said. “For what?’ You asked surprised. “For coming up with his name, I think my brothers would’ve liked it, especially Fives. Fives probably would’ve flirted with you” Echo said with a chuckle. You laughed too then said “Well, it wouldn’t have done him any good. I have my eye on someone.” You said, giving Echo a look that you hoped he understood meant him. Apparently, he did catch on because he stood there wide eyed and mouth agape. You felt disappointed when he didn’t respond. “Well, I got to go” You said, and quickly took off. Blast Echo thought as he watched you go. Why couldn’t he say anything? Why did he always struggle with words when it came to you?. All Echo wanted was to tell you how he truly felt. Echo looked down at Domino. ‘What’s wrong with me, anyway?” He asked him. Domino just meowed at him.
It was a quiet evening and you sat outside of your home and stargazed. You heard a meow and looked down to see Domino. “Hi, Domino. Sweet Boy” You cooed and pet him. “Where’s Echo?” You asked. “Right here” Echo said as he walked up to you. “Hi” he said sheepishly. “Hi” You returned. “May I sit?” He asked, gesturing to the chair next to yours. “Sure” You agreed. Echo sat next to you. “It’s a beautiful evening” He commented. “It is” “The stars are bright” “They are” A moment of awkward silence passed. You looked over at Echo, he was looking up at the sky. His profile was beautiful. Echo felt your eyes on him and he looked over at you. Your heartbeat quicker at the soft look on his face. “I’m glad you were out here, I wanted to apologize for earlier. I, well, I was a bit nervous, and tongue tied.” Echo explained with a nervous chuckle as he scratched the back of his neck. “It’s alright, Echo” You said sweetly, making Echo fall in love with you even more. “I love you” Echo confessed. His eyes widened when he realized what he’d confessed. “Do you?” You asked softly. “I do” He said surely. You smiled brightly. “I love you too” You said, holding out your hand for him to take. Echo held your hand and you both spent the rest of the night stargazing and talking. Echo felt hopeful for the future as he sat next to you, and his little Domino played with the Moon-yos.

No but-
That first moment where Crosshair fired the shot off of Tech's shoulder was a big one for me. I'm pretty sure I loved them both at that moment haha
No but it's...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the way they naturally fall into eachother's roles when the other isn't there.
Tumblr media
the instinctual head-tilt when Crosshair stabilized his rifle on Tech's shoulder, as if they'd done it a thousand times before.
It's the fact that Tech clearly told Phee all about his brother.
It's the sad, fond smile on Crosshair's face when Omega said Tech made her memorize all the plans ("of course he did").
It's the way Tech knew exactly where to look for that mirror.

I just want to say that the latest episode of The Bad Batch sealed the deal on my opinion of Phee.
She has grown on me immensely as a character, and I now have a very different view on TechPhee.
I didn't particularly like the attitude of her character at first, but I mostly clutched my pearls because literally any character they would've paired Tech up with would have had me doubtful lol. (Was I slightly jealous over a fictional man?? Apparently so).
The little comments about Tech telling her all about Crosshair got me though. The fact that this conversation took place at all gave me good feelz.
Then, just add the fact that she said, "any friend of Brown Eyes is a friend of mine."
She didn't say any friend of the Bad Batch.... She said any friend of Tech's. It was a show of her loyalty and affection for him specifically, and also, it gives a glimpse of how he felt about Crosshair despite the fact that at that point, our boi Cross still hadn't returned to the Bad Batch.
I just gotta' say. I've seen some negativity about her lately, about her demeaning them and whatnot. We saw him literally smiling at her multiple times in the last season. It didn't look like the face a guy who felt demeaned and disrespected...
Either way, you can ship or not. That is completely and entirely up to each person. Like anything else, we are all entitled to an opinion! I don't think you're a bad person if you don't like the ship. I won't sit here and assume that there must be a terrible motive for disliking the ship.
I'm just personally starting to think it's sweet. It doesn't mean that we can't all still enjoy some Tech x Reader! It's what fanfics are for. You can have fun no matter the outcome of the story.
I just felt inclined to share that!
I'm enjoying the show. I appreciate it. I'm looking forward to seeing where it takes us (also nervous, but you knowww).
There are more things about the show I want to touch on, but this was one that stuck out to me! Anyway, hang in there Batchers!!!

Season 3: Episode 9 Spoiler
.
.
There are a lot of amazing things about this episode. First off, VENTRESS showing up, and also helping Omega!
I felt bad about the squad getting their shebs kicked by her...but it was also kind of cool!!!
And sorry, but Crosshair holding out his hand to help Omega and then Ventress onto the Marauder has ruined me 😭😭😭
I luv him
