I did a redraw of soemthing from 2014 and honeslty it’s a mixed bag .

for instance, Mary’s fire in my old picture i like better more, but technically she’s more proportionate and real this time. on the otherhand, I think how melty she looks is more natural, and you can actually tell what her body is

Ib’s hair I’m on the border with. like, yeah it looks more real, but I’m thinking the lack of stylized shape in favor of individual strands has it’s own issues…  but either way, been working on this for awhile and I’m proud of the results!

yknow ever since people realized tumblr isnt dead and have decided to flock here from twitter and tiktok ive seen a huge influx of people in fandom spaces who dont reblog anything. at all.

like, i used to have an art blog with 340 followers. not a ton but not a small amount either given how this website works with creators. and in my experience back then even the ones who only left likes still reblogged other things or at least posted their own stuff. literally the only empty blogs were clearly bots.

but on this New art blog, i've had so many people with fandom-specific headers and icons with actual usernames as urls and some kind of title or description, but have. Nothing. no posts. all they do is like things. and it's always public, too. their following list and their likes list.

and honestly all it makes me think is that these people are New and also don't know how tumblr works. how likes don't give exposure. not even in a "oh, i know it doesn't give exposure, but i'm still going to reblog anyways" way, but in a genuine honest to god straight up doesn't realize tumblr likes don't work like twitter's.

PLEASE please if you're from tiktok or twitter or whatever please reblog people's art both fandom and original if you like it!! and maybe actually pad out your blog's content in some way so people won't potentially see you as a bot and block you.

The same as i would expect of Any ruler. Do you not expect Madam President to do what she thinks best for her people before her own desires?

He is a king first, which has been to his personal detriment in the past. He had to think of his people first, before he could grieve the loss of his own children by human hands. His rule has been long, and difficult, and deserves respect. You want more detail, feel free to direct Questions to King Asgore himself; The more the populace knows before we truly start integrating, the better. This entire blog is to help calm doubts and concerns and prepare everyone for some new neighbors.

So what do monsters look like?

I think i have a picture that should help answer all of these, actually. the same evening the barrier broke, well, everyone was rather excited, but we were able to reign in enough to get a picture, King, Queen, and all of the other good friends i made while still trapped underground with them! you may note not all of them have fur, or even skin for that matter; to answer the first question, monsters come in all shapes and sizes and colors.

You've all seen Toriel, reigning Queen before. She is kind, patient, and soft- in many senses of the words. she's also one of the first i met underground, and immediately offered me a place to stay while I was underground. the other Boss Monster besides her is King Asgore. He can be intimidating, with his size, and deep voice, and he's willing to do what needs done for the good of his people, but he's got a good soul. He wants everyone to be happy, and for his people to be able ot live in peace in freedom.

The Skeletons next to me are Papyrus (Tall in red) and current Mascot of Monster Kind. he's full of energy and smiles, and surprisingly the second best hugger int eh underground, despite all the hard edges and lack of bodyheat. Then there's Sans, Papyrus brother, local funnybones, and a bit of a prankster. he's typically a laid back chill guy, and a bit of a lazybones sometimes, but he does the work needed. not always the work asked, but the work needed done.

Then there's the yellow Lizard like one, Alphys. she's the recently retired Royal Scientist, and a bit of an open nerd. she likes all the anime that was leaked through to the underground through the garbage dump from our wastes. (We'll talk about how so much human garbage fell below even with the barrier some other time, it's a big thing to tackled and definitely not the most important task ahead, but letting you know of the litter may help with more thoughtful future actions!). Besides her is Undyne, Captain of the Royal Guard! she's loud, and intense, and not one to back down from a fight, but she's only really wanting justice for all and a lot of her 'jump to action' attitude comes to just wanting what is right to be what is done. actions speak louder than words, and all that.

What are those furry paws

That would be Toriel! Reigning Queen of monsters- I tried to sneak a picture of her baking, but I got caught. While Queen, she makes some of the best pies; when snails aren't involved. celebrating this historic moment, she's even used the oven some today; but the classic butterscotch-cinnamon pie can't be done any method but by hand. She wanted to type out a message as well, knowing she was making an official appearance now.

Greetings, everyone! I am Toriel, Queen of monsters, but that sounds far too formal; if we are to meet, my name alone will suffice. These sunny days have been long awaited by mine and my kin, and we are all looking forward to a bright future with all of you. Oh Goodness no!

I suppose it's a fair question, for how much the history is wiped, and with my relaying of everything monster related as the primary representative, but I'm human! i fell into The Underground by accident, and in doing so was trapped by the same barrier until it recently broke. My personal story isn't that important, but I'm human, from my flesh to my soul, i swear!
