I finished reading it yesterday and I am completely blown away!!

The writing style improved so much, first of all, but most importantly, the story is beautifully thrilling and emotional and the characters have wonderful arcs.

Some really unexpected twists, characters that turn out to be more than I thought they were, just generally a wonderful experience

To clarify:

The mod situation was just the last straw for many of us.

There were a series of reasons why we left the community, one of them is Bryans management being really sketchy. We talked to people who worked with him and it really makes me suspect that the reason for many of his actions is his management as an actor influencing his streams.

(Furthermore, a lot of us just dont like the new situation in the chats, we just dont enjoy streams were no conversation can take place)

And this was ought to happen.

I expected shit to go south when the follow count doubled within a few weeks and we had milestones every few days.

The part that really drove me away was how the community as a whole changed.

People got death threats for criticising Bryan. People attacked each other, got possessive, fought over the smallest disagreements.

We spent hours trying to talk a girl out of harming herself because she was so heartbroken by the whole situation.

Im not saying you cant watch Bryans streams or enjoy his content or be part of the community.

But you should keep in mind that just because he is a streamer and it makes him look approachable, he is still first and foremost an actor with a management team who has to upkeep a certain brand. What he posts, what he says, what he does is planned through to be in control of what other people see and think.

And most of all, be kind to one another.

Dont let this community we build turn into yet another toxic fandom that drives people into self-harm.

Bryan vs PSB Fandom

Some of you may be aware of the fact that we as fanbase have tried to get Bryan to reconnect with Prep School Blues for a while

When he first started streaming, he still occasionally reacted to questions and laughed about it and treated it the way he does with all his more awkward student projects.

However, ever since he grew to be more popular (yknow, chats closing and stricter rules and all that) he also started to almost passive aggressively ignore all PSB mentions

He ignores psb related questions, even if people pay money for it with donations or bit cheers during Q&As

Its very unlikely he had bad experiences with the show, since a) we’ve hung out with Chris for a while now and he is a pure sweetheart and b) he only stopped reacting badly to it after the streams became relevant for his life as an actor

Now, I’m not sure if it is because its n indie project or because Bryan is playing a gay man in it, but I do feel like it has something to do with his public image/brand.

He does have a lot of young female fans who idolise him and crush on him and it is common for actors with those target audiences to have to appear as hetero as possible

Our conclusion is, Chris has to be a golden dorito and we will stan Prep School Blues loud and proud until the mods ban us!

(As a final note, this is not supposed to be any sort of criticism or hate towards Bryan, he has a job, he has a brand, lots of streamers have to mke sacrifices when their channels reach certain popularity. It is more about pointing out that it’s a shame something as unproblematic as psb could be considered damaging to an image)
