I just bought Arches rough paper block last week cause it was on sale (yay!) and wanted to try painting landscape. So I browsed photos in Unsplash and saw Matt Lightfoot’s photo. It has everything in it that I wanted to try: rocks/mountain, water, trees and pine trees. I gave it a go and surprised myself I can do it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m so happy of how it turned out! It wasn’t looking good at the beginning but by picking up bits of tips from workshops (thanks @aquarryl and @koo.alina), youtube videos and books, it was achievable. Video

I painted the most difficult landscape I ever attempted which I will be posting soon, and am glad that I finished it this morning. Never knew that I can achieve my melting roses on a canvas! Thanks to the versatility of @turnercolourworks’ textile paints that acts as watercolours too, I was able to achieve that dripping effect.
