(WIP) Ophelia Winter Smirnova

lord i finally finished this piece of her!! And the details turns out real good, i'm so proud especially the shoes waaaa>_<! She looks like posing for dakimakura lmaooo, i never a fan of drawing fullbody because it took longer time and balance but i enjoyed the process with this one^-^ Ophelia with her signature attire/skin. I never mentioned this but no, of course she doesn't go to mission with that outfit most of the time! (Maybe on summer? lighter work?)

She does have alternate gears, called "Jawbreaker" and "The Vulture".

I will release it alongside with her character bio i've been working! :333 I really hope i can work faster on her but Thesis and Comifuro been punching me on the gut, and i also have to study the gears before finishing the alternates compositions;-; but i had fun learning things!^-^

Ophelia and Dewi Jiyan LOVES to hangout by Ophelia's flat, usually by her bedroom. Ophelia trust her lots to be around her house & her father, Mr.Smirnov. They will paint nails, order takeouts, GOSSIPING, random dance, hairbrush karaoke moment, stalking Lee by facebook and tinder and look over what Dragunov's up to with Ophelia's sniper out of boredom (not in a creepy way, of course!).

It makes me remember about a read i did in the past and it resonates so much about the situation and everything (prepare for nerd pingu!) The author of the article took Nussbaum's few theories and it were talking about 'Male Gaze' on female video game character (Bayonetta in this case), but i think this can be vice versa in the context of situation, like gaze in general towards video game character. The author apply Nussbaum's rubric about representations of agency, and i'll just quote the good paragraph written by the author below; "This is the best we can hope for: all videogames, and all art for that matter, are the product of their creators who can make the characters that populate their worlds do whatever they please. Looked at one way, this is the utter annihilation of agency. But if we allowed that to be our only perspective, then we could not credit a single portrayal of any character in any medium with positive qualities at all, nor discuss the ways in which fans appropriate and reinterpret the meanings of their favorite characters. I just wanted to mention that you’ve given me a lot of confidence. I used to be the type of person who believed “if your oc even breathes in the direction of a canon character, it’s cringe and Mary Sue and you’ll be ripped to shreds for it.” I’d have to tread so lightly with characters I enjoyed and love them from afar because I felt if I made even a joke post someone would bring it up.

I’ve only just gotten into the cod fandom, found your blog a couple months ago, and it’s given me a lot of like. Idk!! Just “fuck it, do what you want” kinda vibes in the best way? It’s really hard to word this lmao. But since finding your blog I’ve made a 141 character, a shadow, literally shipping an oc with ghost now, and I’m having fun that I wouldn’t have if I didn’t find your blog

Well, It's been an apparent issue in this fandom. idk why, but when I visit other fandoms, the sense of ownership and possessiveness to the characters is not that high, like what's up with these people I don't know. Like, the characters in media, especially in games, don't belong to anyone except the studios that made them 😭

We as fandom members can create original characters, alternative universes, and stuff for them. I can't imagine a piece of media without fanarts, fics, and OC's really. Heck, that's what keeps the fandom alive. If there's one thing we can learn from history of media, is that you can't hold back people's creativity. OF COURSE, there are cringe ones and unhinged ones, but it's fandom, of course, it's filled with different types of people from normal to bizarre ones.

Here's the thing, just because one person has already shipped their OC with one character, that doesn't mean that character is LOST forever to that one particular OC like it's a damn popularity competition 😭.

I've also seen some people saying that they're so emotionally attached to this one character, that if they see him with someone else's OC. they get super emotional and super angry?? Okay that's just-- WOW.

If you feel uncomfortable seeing your favorite character being shipped with someone else, then that just means that you're NOT ready and not mature enough to be an OC creator and be in a fandom space. Full stop.

and if I may speak from experience, I've lost a few friendships due to being... quite popular OC shipper with Ghost 🥲.Like, I don't know what's happening, I personally don't feel anything when I see other's OC's with Ghost, or any character I like with other OC's -- I EVEN DRAW OTHER OC'S WITH GHOST FOR COMMISSIONS 😭

But yeah, before I yap too much, thank you so much for the good words in the last paragraph! It's very very lovely, and I'm glad you have your own OC to have fun with! Happy creating and happy drawing💖!

y’all have been holding onto literally nothing as “evidence” that they don’t like each other even though the game itself is being quite explicit in saying “yeah no they love each other”.

Jin says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about Kazuya’s and Jun’s relationship. he never even ONCE asks his mom in TK8 “hey mom why would you wanna save dad he’s an asshole”.

Mom said that you have to go save yourself AND your dad? okay I guess we’re doing that now! HE NEVER FUCKING ASKS QUESTIONS DESPITE HIS OBVIOUS ANGER AND HATRED TOWARDS KAZUYA. BECAUSE AS LONG AS JUN IS HAPPY WITH KAZUYA SO IS JIN.

Kazuya is a Mishima —> they value strength, honor/pride, and above all, POWER —> already had shitty experiences that made him grow up way faster (mentally/emotionally) than intended thanks to Heihachi & Devil —> Being a Mishima is a lot of work and pressure (business/training/school/reputation/etc) —> Gotta love trying to live up to both your own and your father’s expectations even if hurts you —> he had to grow up faster than a “normal” child.

"Small hands of help"

(Ophelia Winter Smirnova Tekken 8 Timeline lore)

After two years working as hired gun, the name of Ophelia "frost" become hot topics between higher ups, exchanging their best mercenaries to help each other for the sake of brotherhood in politics. The infamous "White angel of Death" heard about the hot gossips too in the past, only for them to exchange glances and brief stare across the room at one gath, acknowledging one and another's presences.

Time passes while Sergei Dragunov thought he could rest in peace by his vacation, the truth of three experts after his tail doesn't help the situation. Annoyance pent him up, causing the tall stoic man left no choice but hire Ophelia (Frost) to clear out the nuisances. Either that or for him feeding on his curiousity, the enigmatic mercenary presence swirls thoughts and intrigued feelings thawing his cold heart. Probably killing two birds with one stone for Sergei Dragunov.
