Hello again! I'm back much quicker than usual bc I didn't realize just how much I liked Lyra, so here she is again

She is a minotaur who was originally meant to be a dnd character, but all of my friends who play are allergic to having regular meetings so I've just started fleshing her out more on my own time. If she had been in a campaign, she would have been a bard, eventually multiclassing as a warlock thanks to her *lore*

A lot of her backstory has remained the same for me, but since she won't be in a campaign, I can pop her in my own story! Lyra is a bit of a sheltered soul, but she has a goal from the outset: to hear as much music as she can, all around the world. Lyra aims to learn about all the music the world has to offer, and believes that making friends in all kinds of places is the easiest way to do just that. It's a big world out there, but she plans to take it one song at a time.

Slightly behind on my intended schedule, but I wanted to post these character icons I made for some OCs of mine. They're part of a video game I want to put together, but I'm still deciding how I want to do a lot of things, including choosing how I want each character to look.

The first one's name is Lyra, my planned main character, but beyond that I'm still picking names. While I'm pretty happy with how this one looks, however, I have another character, Gigi, who I can't decide what they should look like. Here are my two ideas for him now (he's meant to be like a tabaxi):

I'm actually kind of partial to option 2, but I'd love to know if there's a favorite visually at first glance. I plan to expand upon some of these characters for my next post, since I have their personalities and such mostly planned, but visuals are still up in the air!

Ngl, I kind of forgot about this page, but I think this is blog is going to be more of me just pushing myself to be more creative any way I can. So this is my attempt at cross-stitch! The image quality is not so good, partly because I can't take pictures to save my life and partly because my camera is over a decade old, but for the current situation I think it works just fine.

I wanted to try something simple, and so I looked at an image of koroks, recreated it on Asesprite as best I could, and found the closest thread colors I had to put this together. It's only a 3-inch wide hoop, but I think it will find a nice home on a wall somewhere.

I intend to push myself to crank something out onto this page monthly, so there may be several different types of things posted here.

Welcome all, y'all. I am not entirely clear on how one posts on any social media for anything other than life updates and vacation pictures, but I am hoping to use this blog as a place to share the things I make! (And maybe the occasional thought I have, although I flip between having too many thoughts to think straight and Head-Emptying my way through the day.) I'm hoping to post semi-regularly, as opposed to having roughly 80 million ideas knocking around in my head and refusing to share them for no good reason.

I'm not a phenomenal artist, but I'm hoping to grow my skills with this blog serving as my reason why; I also hope to improve my programming skills and delve into game development. For now, though, I might just be writing out ideas up in my head until I can do them proper visual justice (or I cave and spend more on commissions then a college student like myself can reasonably afford).

There are a lot of things I might write about, and I may write them here or link them from someplace else; I guess it may depend on where I feel it ought to go. Either way, y'all are welcome along on the ride! I hope you enjoy what you find here while I push myself to be a little more creative.
