I am a 30+ year old, very eclectic in all things person named Victoria. I reblog most of the things I see that interest me so there is usually activity going on here. I make clothes and cosplays, post random selfies, and talk about all sorts of topics.
Someone else noted on Twitter that if you use crime tools to change the weather in Amaurot to one not natural for its undersea gloom, it more clearly shows the coloration of the buildings to be in a similar style of Elpis (Elpis is more red brick with pale stone accents, so actually opposite).
I gave it a go, using Maya Purple Cocoon Opale Colorful shader to brighten things a little, and then in post edit just adjusted contrast and fill light.
Another way to do it was in my normal gameplay mode, went into Gpose, cranked Manual Brightness and all 3 droplights to max; the colors are a little closer to natural but also a bit washed out.
If you run around Amaurot even in the normal gloom, the coloration of the buildings and streets matches, but there's a distinct green tinge to everything, and the more distant buildings look gray or black (and which tends to be how many players color their Amaurot-themed housing).
But like Elpis, actual Amaurot was a bright place, one whose memory we only see in the darkness of the Tempest, or in memories of its fall in the Final Days.

I don't know what paddington is doing on that list, but it made me think of the time someone drew a picture of the queen with paddington after she died, and we had scores of people losing their minds at the idea that paddington bear wasn't the same kind of communist as them
On an intellectual level i know that early 20th century megacity concepts are deeply impractical and would cause triple the harm they purported to solve, but damn if the art doesn’t make me yearn to visit.
i cannot be the first person to post this here but i am going so fucking insane about the gaia music collective's one day choir singing wait for me. the opening harmonies are you KIDDING me
I named mine N’umair and V’eralidaine because that’s the first names that came to my head when I went to make them!
Continuing my ffxiv naming conventions of naming things after Enchanted Forest Chronicles characters (Cimorene being my warrior of light and her company chocobo being Kazul) I have now given her 2 Lalafell retainers named Morwen and Telemain
never let anyone tell you that trawling through mediocre victorian poetry isn't worth it. we just happened upon an absolute BANGER of a worm poem. go read it or else 🪱🪱🪱
@dorian-mode and I were in a cabaret this weekend where we sang “Good Riddance” from Hades! I made our costumes because nothing in my closet yelled Orpheus and Eurydice to me and I’m so glad. We sounded fantastic and even had one person recognize the song! Everything turned out exactly how I pictured it and I’m very happy.
