An Idea

So I’m absolutely in love with the Doom Patrol show just made and Umbrella Academy’s show just made (both written by Gerard Way) and I just had an amazing shower of ideas where they crossover

The Umbrella Academy showing up to the Doom Patrol’s mansion, like “yeah so our mansion’s destroyed. Can we crash here?”

Both groups being totally and utterly fed up with old men who put their emotions aside for science. Fuck you Niles and fuck you Reginald. Old men are not allowed in this mansion

Crazy Jane and Klaus bonding immediately over their fashion and brand of crazy. They’re both dark, sassy crazies who have to accept their power even though it fucks with their brain and I love to see that solidarity

Cliff complains about all the newcomers but actually loves having a new batch of fucked-up adults to dote on in place of his daughter.

“Sometimes I break stuff” Luther admits, ashamed of his body. “Me too,” Says Cliffe, still a little subconscious

Victor and Diego bonding over similar traits as well. “I’m a hero.” “Me too” “And heroes have to make the tough decisions” “Agreed” “A hero can sometimes hurt the people he loves” “Unfortunately” “And a hero trusts no one” “Absolutely”

Rita is originally put off by Allison and Vanya (or even Five, a whole ass child), Vanya because she so desparately asks to be noticed and given attention to and Rita is no mother nor is she interested in shedding the spotlight from herself. Allison is worse though because she reminds her of a young actress that Rita didn’t protect. Eventually, like Jane, Rita begrudgingly takes them as her own, cooking, cleaning, and doting on them

Larry Trainor is very, very uncomfortable around all of them at first, choosing to keep space to himself but most importantly KLAUS. Klaus is like “Gay?” And Larry, out of habit, scoffs “No, I’m not--” “Don’t even try it...” Klaus shakes his head. Klaus doesn’t try again but the Negative Spirit makes it clear to Larry that Klaus is exactly the type of person to confront his past fears. They bond over military men they loved who died and spirits that get on their nerves. It’s very freeing.

After Hammerhead calls Luther an “incestuous buffoon” and  Allison “a toxic gaslighter, whether she has the tongue to pathologically lie or not” the two don’t really like Jane after that. 

CAN Y’ALL IMAGINE KLAUS AND DANNY THE STREET?? <3

Cyborg being incredibly intimidated by a thirteen-year-old. “I’m kind of the leader of these things,” Victor says. Five scoffs, “Yes, well, I do get seniority over things.” Victor: “???”

Diego gets a kick out of Jane, mostly because he’s not really interested in her, and Jane likes that in a guy. 

The spirits that come visit to Klaus with Ben: Cliff’s wife, Larry’s old flame, Rita’s actress colleague, and Jane’s former personality, Miranda.

Rita waking up to make coffee and tea for Larry, Five, and her, them being the oldest of the group (that can still drink liquids. sorry Cliffe). She likes Five because of his attitude and confidence (much like her own)
